We first saw the new "Philosophy in the Bedroom" collection from Fraulein Kink about a month ago, and we simply can't keep it under wraps any longer, so here it is! Coming to Faire Frou Frou in just a handful of weeks (crossing fingers it's here before Valentine's Day!), German accessories label Fraulein Kink will make its debut in its first luxury lingerie boutique in the U.S. We are proud to be that store!
With the latest range you will see the familiar Fraulein Kink use of fringe and bondage-chic accessories. Our favorite is the brand-new Miss Kitten Mask which is a fringe eye-mask with darling cat ears...meow! We also love those white furry handcuffs...they come with either a gold-plate or silver chain attachment; we're doing both styles!
We are pretty excited to see the customer response to these pieces. We are also pretty excited to set-up our Valentine's Day display with Fraulein Kink...they will go wonderfully with our latest Lascivious new arrivals!

We are pleased to present a new mini collection from UK designer Loulou Loves You which is called Lydia. Inspired by 100 Dalmations, these dotted designs include a bralette, high-waist brief, regular briefs and a peplum frill garter belt that will be available on the designer's website as of January 20, 2012. As with every collection Loulou Androlia creates, these are handmade in London and have an over-the-top feminine charm. We find the latest pieces incredibly charming and definitely frou-frou!

I.D. Sarrieri Lingerie - Through the Lens of Barna Nemethi

One of the good things about luxury lingerie is that there are usually beautiful editorials to accompany it. That is the case with I.D. Sarrieri, a Romanian designer lingerie brand that recently teamed up with photographer Barna Nemethi for the photos you see here. Most of the images are a collaboration with All Hollow, which is more or less an online periodical (see more here). The fact that they featured I.D. Sarrieri makes us instant fans. Cadolle Paris

Cadolle was one of the first brands we carried when we opened Faire Frou Frou since it was the perfect representation of the luxury and sophistication we wanted to create in our boutique. Nearly seven years later and we are still love Cadolle just as much as we once did. We recently became more enamored with this French family-owned company when we noticed that they gave their website a much-needed facelift. The images from this post are just a few of the lovely images we discovered. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Cadolle, we typically tell newbie customers that they are the Rolls Royce of corsetry. In fact, they own the famous atelier in Paris where you can have a bra custom-made for yourself for around $800...hopefully that price-tag gives you an indication of their expertise. Luckily the pieces we sell in our boutique are a little bit more wallet-friendly (just a little bit).

Versace for H&M - Swimwear

It's a warm 75 degrees here in Los Angeles (in January!!!), which has us already thinking of Summer, and thoughts of Summer naturally have us thinking of swimwear. That brings us to this editorial featuring the new Versace for H&M Cruise 2012 collection. If fruity patterns are your thing, then this is the collection for you! Personally we see these pieces as more striking for photography than for "real life" but it's always fun to see how a luxury designer interprets their designs for a younger, more budget-conscious crowd. Definitely playful and fun for the budding Frou Frou Fashionista!

Fetish-Inspired Fashion

We've definitely seen an inclination in fashion, and certainly at Faire Frou Frou, toward more fetish-inspired styling. With brands such as Lascvious, Maison Close, Marlies Dekkers and Bordelle performing so well at our shop, we know there is an increasing demand for elegant lingerie with a bit of a sophisticated bad-girl edge. This editorial is a good example of fetish-inspired looks created with carefully layering and mixing lingerie with outerwear looks. We love that we are seeing more bra styles with interesting strap/cut-out detail. Each of these looks is actually more suggestive of fetish, which is what makes these images so powerful.

The Desperate Mousewife by Kriss Soonik

A few days ago we featured UK loungerie designer Kriss Soonik, and once again we spotlight the designer with her just released Christmas collection The Desperate Mousewife. The theme of the collection and the corresponding gorgeous photos includes a beautiful mouse with a cat fetish. Each piece is limited edition gold lace with black detailing and based on best-selling pieces from previous seasons. For instance, the gold 'Susan Motion' lace bodysuit is one of only 10 in the world. We are betting those 10 bodysuits will sell quite fast!

Not only did Kriss Soonik create another knockout group, the photos for her recent campaign are absolutely spectacular! We couldn't wait to share with our readers!

La Fille d'O is a luxury lingerie brand from Belgium that has an erotic fashion-forward look like no other. We love when a designer captures a unique style and develops something quite new. Not only is their look one-of-a-kind, but even the construction and sizing of their bras is unique to their label. Each bra is sized as S1-S5 (no A,B,C,D for these gals) and fitted with adjustments that create a custom-tailored fit no matter what your size! Even the sizes S, M & L are alternatively called "Tiny, Bouncy and Curvy". The designer describes their bras as "looking light as sunny clouds but supporting you firmly like strong hands" - we like that!

Belgian lingerie brand Marie Jo L'Aventure teamed up with fashion designer Véronique Branquinho to create the Fall 2011 capsule lingerie collection shown here. The collection has a little bit of a retro vibe but is also quite modern and chic! The capsule group features pieces made from satin and tulle, and available in black and emerald green. Let's face it, the emerald green is to die for!
Branquinho was inspired by classic paintings by the old masters Cranach, Giorgione, Raphael & Dürer, and she re-worked some of their famous creations to include her designs!

The Fall 2011 styles were just released on the designer's website, and our fantasy lingerie wish list once again grows. A new style that we are excited to see is the more casual gathered-waist slip dress, and another favorite is the elegant bow-tie belted dress that has a definite ready-to-wear look. Once again we see a few luscious kimono robes that have the signature Carine Gilson delicate lace detail. Just seeing the new season makes us proud to own a few of her pieces from past seasons as they never go out of style. Huit Lingerie - Fall 2011

If this isn't the quintessential Fall lingerie collection, we don't know what is! Huit is introducing its Asian-inspired Fall 2011 collection to stores right now, and we are pleased to share that we received our first shipment at Faire Frou Frou! Perhaps more specifically, the new collection is inspired by beautiful Chinese fashions, but done in such a way so as not to lose the brand's very French essence. Rich Fall colors are displayed in tastefully sweet styles and presented using some of the favorite bra/panty styles from previous Huit collections. Essentially you see pieces that are smooth and functional for everyday wear, but sophisticated and beautiful for a special occasion.
The Initiale, Mrs. Wang and China Girl collections are (or will be) available at Faire Frou Frou (shown in images 1, 2, 3, 4 & 9)!

Fleur of England - Getting Frisky with the Kitty Collection!

We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Kitty collection from Fleur of England at our boutique...and it's finally here! It's not like we don't already own leopard-print lingerie, but something about this collection is special. Perhaps its the bold stretch straps, or the pairing of the cotton leopard print with the vintage-inspired black stretch microfiber. The high-waist shorty is incredible...lots of stretch but it keeps your jiggly parts packed in (yay!). The bra is fantastic...we've been wearing ours for the past 4-days straight (such a good layering piece since there are so many show-off worthy details). Our customers will be happy to learn that the Kitty collection is is a bit easier on the wallet too! This is one of the Fleur of England collections that is not made with lace, which always makes the prices more agreeable to the masses. Essentially, there's no reason for you not to get your own Kitty lingerie set. All you have to do is click here to get started!

Princesse Tam-Tam - Our Fall Wishlist Begins Here

The Fall 2011 collection from Princesse Tam-Tam is almost so perfect it's disturbing. The disturbing part stems from the fact that as a U.S. boutique we are unable to stock the label at Faire Frou Frou (though we once did for a few wonderful years). Nonetheless, we see quite a few styles that we are smitten with, and with a bit of luck, will be able to purchase for our personal lingerie collection! The first picture with the lace paired with the bow (that would be the RUBY collection)...perfection! And what about that rose-colored satin & stretch tulle soft bra (called TAQUINE, which also comes in a pretty yellow if you look at their website)...wowza. Another incredible piece is the GABY bra which is shown in the pretty powder color with the pleats, front-center keyhole cutout and the center bow. Probably by the time you read this post, we will be well into researching how to get our eager hands on these pieces! Do you have some favorites? Or are they all favorites?

Bordelle - Bondage Chic Luxury Lingerie

It's time to unveil yet another naughty assortment of luxury goods from UK brand Bordelle. Their Fall 2011 collection is online, and presents us with yet another strap-fest of bondage chic lingerie. We love how this season was styled, especially the red lipstick and red heels...even the red telephone is cute! Bordelle is a luxury brand, and is also a high-quality brand (sometimes you don't get both). For those of you fortunate enough to own a Bordelle set or have seen it in person, you will likely agree. It seems that this season is somewhat similar to seasons past, but that's okay, especially for those of you who don't already own one of their fabulous bondage / bandage dresses or bras! It's a lingerie must-have!

Fifi Chachnil (Fall 2011) - The 7 Fundamental Virtues

We are happy to share that all of our Fall 2011 New Arrivals from Fifi Chachnil are now available on our website! Fifi Chachnil is one of the first brands we carried at Faire Frou Frou, and nearly 7 years later the brand is still going strong in our boutique probably because it so perfectly captures our frou-frou essence! The first image shows a little French lesson we put together, sharing the essential lingerie terms every fashionista should know. It also displays styles that we have at our shop, which cover the fundamentals of every lingerie wardrobe: lace, silk and ruffles!

Also, you will find one of our favorite pieces, which is the panty below (Le Desir Ruffle Brief), on our website. We found this photo by Pierre Dal Corso online last year and were so happy to learn that those darling black panties were by Fifi!
