Microwave Oven: Smart Kitchens Can be Made Overnight!

Most of us try to find alternatives to accommodate our priorities while some of us tend to just give up. The situation is worsened for the users with several choices in lining. Now, let us take an example to illustrate this situation in a clear manner. Suppose, you are a part of a family with 4-5 members and each of the member has different eating habits. Now, this will definitely have a toll on the homemaker engaged in the kitchen since she or he will have to devote extra time preparing all the different dishes. Now, if the homemaker is a working individual then the problems get more complicated.

Have you ever thought of a possible and effective solution to solve this problem? If yes, then you must have realised by now that there are not many efficient and effective solutions to choose from. One of the most common solution will indeed be a microwave oven since you can easily cook food at an earlier time and serve it as per your convenience. This also means that the served food is completely hygienic and is served in the best possible manner. It eliminates the slightest chance of any possible formation of carcinogenic char and tars besides helping the users by fast and easy heating of the food products. Now that we have learnt a few things on the microwave oven, let us move to some of the biggest names in this segment followed by an examination of some of the most successful products in this category.

Two of the biggest names in the world of cheap microwave ovens are Electrolux and Samsung. The Electrolux Galanz 20 litres, Samsung C106, Samsung CE1031LATB and Electrolux Midea 25 litres Convection Stainless Steel microwave oven are some of the most successful and cheap microwave ovens in the present day market. These latest microwave ovens are high on performance, reliability, flexibility and affordability.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly, reliable and smart helping hand for your kitchen needs then you can purchase these latest microwave ovens. However, this must be preceded by a complete and comprehensive market survey and analysis to fetch a "good" deal. You must give complete attention to critical factors such as brand name, your kitchen priorities, budget, customer service, size and substitute products to name a few. If you can do that then you will be able to get a latest microwave oven at an affordable price.

6 Recession Busting Financial Tips

Has the recession got your worried about money? If so, try these 6 recession busting financial tips to help you get your finances on track so you can start breathing a little easier.

Budget – Budgeting will help you make sure that you don't spend more money than you have coming in every month. This is especially important because it helps you avoid accumulating debt. You can also allocate some money to go into savings each month so that you can cover emergencies and larger purchases in the future without having to use credit or debt to do it.

Cut Spending – This is part of the budgeting process. See where your money is going each month, then look for ways to reduce your costs to make sure that your spending is in line with your income. You can usually shave a lot of spending just by making your coffee and lunch at home instead of buying it everyday. There are also lots of websites out there with frugal living ideas to help you reduce your spending.

Pay Off Debt – As your debts are paid off you will be building financial security and freeing up all that money that is currently going towards your monthly payments. If you are currently struggling to meet your debt obligations, seek help from a credit counselor or financial advisor. If you're currently able to meet your debt obligations, the easiest way to get your debts paid off without having to spend any extra money is to use the snowball method.

First, don't accumulate any new debts. Second, keep making your monthly payments until one of your debts is paid off. Third, take the money that was going toward the debt you just paid off and apply it to another debt on your list. Fourth, as more of your debts are paid off, keep applying the money you've freed up to the next debt in your list.

Build a Financial Cushion - Once your debts are paid off, start allocating money each month to go into a savings account. Ideally you should aim to save the equivalent of about 6 months of pay. This savings account will be a financial safety net for you should you suddenly lose your income.

Protect Yourself From Financial Tragedy – Making sure you have the right amounts and types of life, auto, home and health insurance will protect you and your family. By properly insuring yourself, you can make sure that unexpected events don't cause financial hardship for you or your loved ones.

Earn Extra Income – Picking up a part time job, or starting a part time business is an excellent way to help firm up your financial situation. You can put the extra money towards helping to meet your monthly expenses, building your financial cushion, or pay off your debts. Just make sure you reward yourself once in a while for all the hard work you're doing.

Make the most of your money by implementing these recession busting financial tips today.

Money saving Tips For An Effective Household Budget

An efficient household budget helps to keep track of all your expenses and manage your finances for a happy and peaceful life. Moreover, budgeting is a key to saving money thereby accommodating and making provisions for those things that you truly need. Always begin with designing an inventory to ensure where you can cut off your dollars. The easiest way to start budgeting and subsequent money saving is to begin with the biggest items first, followed by scrolling down the scale to the inexpensive things.

Most people are not able to draw out the difference between wants and needs and often end up with taking one for another. Needs carry a full line of products that is utmost necessary to live including food, clothing, shelter, and transportation. On the other hand, wants categorize those things that make our life better. This does not necessarily mean that you cannot have the things that you desire, but being meticulous is a much better option than busting your budget in the process.

Try the product prior to buying it - At times, it happens that we do buy things but they inevitably find their way in our dustbin. Therefore, you must try the items, especially when it comes to purchasing those with big price tags. This surely serves as a thumb rule to prevent spending on futile things you hardly use. Budgeting the household expenditure complements frugal living.

Getting best value for your money - It is always suggested to shop around to research and compare the prices of the product. It may sound time consuming but it surely ensures great savings and getting the best deal for you. Many shops will quote you a low price for the things that may cost much on the other shops. An informed customer always comes as a challenge to the retailer and ends up saving money that he/she can use for other important needs.

Using coupons for groceries - Many newspapers run local grocery ads that may feature grocery coupons too. These coupons are great to curtail the grocery expenditure to a large extent. People who do not prefer to buy newspapers may refer the loose ads at the front door of the concerned store.

These are some of the numerous budgeting and moneysaving tips. More important that following the tips is necessary to cultivate a money saving mindset. Once you are able to develop a money saving mindset, you will be able to save money effectively and enjoy a life free from financial stress.

Decorating Your Kitchen

It takes more than a nice set of curtains and stone flooring to make a kitchen the most inviting place in the home. There are decorative accessories that can be strategically placed throughout the kitchen eating areas that make people want to visit the kitchen often and they never seem to leave empty handed.

With a decorative cow teapot, people may be enticed into enjoying a cup of cocoa on a stormy night, or brew a delicious pot of tea that can soothe sore throats during the cold season. With enticing brilliance, people might be lured to grab fresh bananas on their way out that are hanging from a decorative chrome banana holder.

Ceramic glazed crocks may tempt some family members into enjoying hearty soup and crackers while watching their favorite sports event on television. These ceramic crocks could also be used to create individual dinner casseroles that are ready to be served at any time of the night and are perfect for families that have busy schedules. These crocks are easy to microwave and present piping hot meals to families on a budget.

A ceramic apple cookie jar might fit a cozy kitchen décor that is colored in green, and accented with cozy checker board table coverings that make the whole room zing. Stylish homemakers might choose to decorate their kitchen counters with decorative stone trivets, and provide grapevine napkin holders at coffee serving areas that make people glad they are home.

Kitchen tools will be right at home in a handy apple tool crock that blends in quite nicely with a country kitchen décor. Peppermills and matching salt shakers will give people ample opportunity to add some spice to their life without going overboard. For the gifted cook, a stainless steel spice rack would provide just the right flavoring touch to many meals served throughout the year. The natural hardwood racks seem to blend in with any kitchen decor and the delightful spin during each use adds more fun to a talented cooks of day.

Any home will benefit from the delicious smells that sneak out of the kitchen and some of those smells will not necessarily come from cooking efforts within those four walls. With scented candles lit throughout the home, a homemaker can evoke a relaxing atmosphere to many areas of the home with very little effort.

Children always love treats and crafty cooks can choose to keep it simple by supplying decorative ice cream sets that can add just the right pick me up after a trip to the doctor's office, or they can use the decorative bowls and cups to create majestic ice cream castles that kids can boast about to all of their friends when they go back to school.

It's always good to have extra plates and saucers in the home that can be used without fear of breakage. With decorative designs of grape leaves on vine to add a stylish touch, homemakers can serve delights at dinner parties in style at a very affordable price. All accessories that you use to serve your guests should reflect a part of yourself, and using clever color choices can have a tremendous effect on the overall style of a very welcoming kitchen decor.

Chile's Copper Windfall Props Up Spending as Ecuador Defaults

Chilean homemaker Majorie Rojo shrugs when asked about the crash in the price of copper, the engine of her nation's economy.

"I don't know anything about that -- nothing, zero," Rojo, 28, said as she bounced her 19-month-old son in her arms at a government daycare center in Santiago.

Rojo has little reason to fret about the metal's 68 percent drop from a record reached in May. For the time being, President Michelle Bachelet says billion in savings, amassed when copper prices were higher, will protect state-run services from spending cuts as global economic growth slows to 0.9 percent next year from 2.5 percent in 2008, according to the World Bank.

"A country like Chile stands out for being very forward- looking by putting away the copper windfall," said Alberto Ramos, a Goldman Sachs Group Inc. economist in New York. Other countries will have to "cut spending or keep spending and have high deficits. There is no easy way out."Santiago's stock index has fallen 23 percent this year, about half as much as the benchmark for neighboring Brazil. Still, the commodities crash may catch up with Chile if the crisis worsens, said Sergio Zapata, an analyst at Banchile Inversiones.

The peso has weakened 21 percent against the dollar this year, making it the region's second-worst performing currency tracked by Bloomberg, behind the Brazilian real.

"Chile isn't immune to the crisis," Zapata said. "But it's on a relatively better footing."Return to DemocracyAfter Chile's return to democracy in 1990, the ruling coalition broadened policies to control spending put in place under former dictator Augusto Pinochet by University of Chicago- trained economists. Since then, the country has earned the highest credit rating in South America. Moody's Investors Service rates Chile's .25 billion in foreign bonds A2 and said Nov. 20 that the debt may merit an upgrade.

To guard against price swings, the country linked its budget in 2001 to the long-term outlook for copper. Chile, which relies on the metal for about a quarter of government revenue, based 2008 expenditures on a price of .37 a pound, less than half the average this year.

That policy is helping to insulate Chile from the kind of funding cuts or increased borrowing confronting Venezuela, Argentina and Ecuador, Ramos said.

Five-year credit-default swaps based on Chilean bonds fell 3.5 basis points yesterday to 2.4450 percentage points, according to CMA Datavision. This means it costs 4,500 to protect million of Chilean debt from default, the least among nine Latin American countries tracked by Bloomberg.

Oil 'Earthquake'

It costs .25 million to protect equal amount of Venezuelan bonds, .57 million to insure Argentine assets and .9 million to guarantee Ecuador's debt.

Ecuador this month defaulted on foreign bonds after a slump in oil, its biggest export. Argentina nationalized billion in private pension funds, fueling speculation the government was seeking cash to prop up its finances, Ramos said.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez warned Nov. 17 that his nation should brace itself as an "earthquake" cuts oil revenue. Crude has plunged 73 percent from a July record to .91 a barrel. Venezuela is basing its 2009 budget on a price of .

Chile's rainy-day savings from copper should be enough to fill any budget holes for three or four years, said Julio Dittborn, a congressional finance committee member. Government spending next year will prop up an economy that otherwise would stagnate or shrink, he said.

More SpendingIn November, Congress approved a spending increase of 5.7 percent to 20.7 trillion pesos ( billion) for 2009. Chile will likely have a budget deficit of 0.5 percent of gross domestic product, or 0 million, which can be financed from the funds, said Juan Pablo Castro, an economist at Banco Santander Chile SA in Santiago.

Latin American governments will face average deficits of 2.1 percent in 2009, after an estimated 0.4 percent this year, Credit Suisse Group AG said Dec. 11.

"When there was a boom, there wasn't a flood of wealth," Castro said. The drop in copper "isn't going to mean poverty."A drop in investment in mines will restrain Chile's GDP. The economy will expand 0.7 percent in 2009, slowing from estimated 3.8 percent growth this year, said David Duarte, an analyst in New York at 4Cast Inc.

'Main Driver'

"The main driver of the economy, which is investment, appears to be coming to a halt," Duarte said. "We see a lot of projects being halted or postponed."Phoenix-based Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., London- based Anglo American Plc and BHP Billiton Ltd., headquartered in Melbourne, have shelved or delayed .1 billion of Chilean projects in the past month.

Copper for March delivery rose 1.4 percent to .3455 a pound yesterday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. It touched a record .2605 a pound on May 5.

The price may fall 26 percent more to a pound, said Cesar Perez-Novoa, a managing director at brokerage Celfin Capital SA.

Even so, homemaker Rojo isn't alone in lacking concern.

At a pedestrian walkway in downtown Santiago, street vendor Estela Rivero, 53, said she didn't know what copper is used for or how much it costs.

"I don't have the slightest idea," Rivero said, as she sat a few blocks from the copper-trimmed headquarters of state-owned Codelco, the world's biggest producer by output last year.

Accessorizing Your Kitchen With Decorative Cookware

A homemaker can use decorative cookware to add style to any area of the kitchen. With the help of a salesperson in a major department store, a homemaker is likely to find touches of color on pots, pans, and bake ware that will blend in nicely with any color scheme of any home remodeling plan. By shopping for cookware through internet outlets, a homemaker is sure to find several retail locations that specialize in a certain type of kitchen cook top appliance that might give a homemaker more opportunities to decorate the home with decorative cookware that costs less.

Some of the decorative pieces of cookware might show a homemaker how to cook healthier meals that the entire family will think are delicious. The cookware selections discovered through internet search engines might show new cooks how to prepare foods without removing vitamins and nutrients during the cooking process due to the fact that the decorative cookware choices cook foods without an excessive amount of water. A homemaker will have full reign on selecting which styles of waterless cookware pieces fit in with the family lifestyle and because the pieces are sold separately and in sets, the decorative cookware chosen will be very affordable.

Decorative cookware can help keep the family budget in line because homemakers can select less-choice cuts of beef, pork, or chicken to serve at every family meal. Some new cooks will rely on the decorative cookware attributes to prepare meals that taste divine and are capable of producing tender morsels every time. A homemaker can select decorative cookware for use on countertops to simmer meals for hours, which will tenderize any substandard cuts of meat and stretch the budget dollars at the same time. The color selections offered in counter top cookware are marvelous and will fit in nicely with any kitchen decor.

Many homemakers select decorative cookware brands that tie in well with the major appliances placed throughout the kitchen. Some kitchen decorating ideas might suggest to a homemaker to keep cast iron fry pans on the cooking range at all times to give the kitchen a rustic look that never gets boring. The dark metals in the cast iron cookware choices will blend in well with home appliances fashioned with brushed stainless steel. Some cooks will blend these primary colors with the granite colors chosen for the kitchen counter top area.

A homemaker has many decorating options at their disposal when using decorative cookware to color coordinate a kitchen decor. Many homemakers will enhance the visual pleasure of cooking at home due to the styles of cookware used for everyday cooking needs. Decorative cookware handles can be used as art forms in the kitchen when the handles curve upward into an ergonomic design that is quite stylish and comfortable to use at the same time. The gleam of stainless steel cookware choices will have a decorative effect on kitchen counter tops because the homemaker chooses to hang these pots and pans instead of storing them in a cabinet.

Secrets of French Country Decor in Your Home!

Today more than ever, French and country style gains applause from thousands of homeowners wanting to completely re-decorate their living space at the cost they can afford. But, although you can make your next home beautification project on a budget, nothing is cheap about French country decor and the impression it creates. Just ask all those new visitors to your refurbished abode...

The essential elements of French Country home décor are as rich, enduring and comforting as the earth itself: each piece making up your French country kitchen oozes practicality and discrete elegance; fabrics, wall decor, oak kitchen table and chairs form the center. The array of colors, from light and creamy to deep and earthy, and hand-rubbed finishes evoke images of sun-drenched fields of lavender, wine grapes ripening in vineyards, and a timeless, unhurried, gracious style of living. The French Country home is a home filled with love, and nowhere is that more evident than in its kitchen.

The focal point of the French Country kitchen is the dining table, where the entire family gathers to share meals and create memories. A certain degree of "relaxed" elegance characterizes French and country style with splendid lines. Recognizing the ideal table fitting your French country home is easy, for it grasps your heart when you see it for the first time. When you place your hand on its polished wood, it will feel like home.

Your dining table can be made even more impressive, by hanging an old chandelier above it, with all its patina on display. In the center of the table, a simple bouquet of daisies, freshly picked from the garden, in a thick ceramic crock, or a shallow basket or wooden bowl with a handful of apples and a loaf of home-baked bread in it—simplicity best defines the French country style kitchen.

The French Country kitchen is designed to let in light and air, and to be a welcoming haven for visiting friends and family. Feel free to hang your favorite pieces of cookware on the walls, or on a pot rack suspended from the ceiling, where they'll enhance your cozy decorating theme while at the same time leaving plenty of room for your loved ones. Imagine your kitchen adorned by the shining rows of copper pots, with aged timber trimmings hugging the walls, like one of many french country cottages.

Colors and textures play an important role in French Country decorating, and so do scents. Dress up your kitchen window with a miniature herb garden grown in old teacups or decorative spice tins. Culinary sensations can be easily created with all the available herbs ready for your attention. This will make your home popular with friends and family, all wanting to experience your hospitality.

Be the CEO of Your Life!

Ever heard the expression: “If you want to get something done, give it to a busy person?” How is it that the busiest people get the most done? What highly effective people do is allow themselves to be “controlled” by their trusted support systems and their datebooks.

Many high-level executives have no idea what they are doing from one day to the next. They walk in the office and ask their assistants what is on the agenda for the day. They are essentially told what they are doing and when. Of course, they have veto power. That is the beauty of a valuable assistant and support staff. The word “executive” means one who executes, accomplishes, performs. Are you able to carry out all the action steps to attain your goals? If not, it may just be that you don’t have the proper support staff or tools to aid you in what radio talk show host/author/speaker Greg Smith calls “GSD” - - - Getting Stuff Done!

If you don’t have an assistant or a company of 100 employees you can delegate tasks to, allow your Blackberry, Day Planner, or calendar to be your personal assistant. One suggestion: If you want a big life, get a big datebook/calendar. Some people have dainty, Barbie Doll sized calendars. Live large! Also, pick a color or fabric or texture that you like. If you have a beautiful datebook, you create a beautiful life.

Try “Living in Domains.” It is a simple time management system that you can easily implement and be the CEO of your life. I was trained in it years ago and have been using ever since because it has allowed me to create enough time I need for what is most important to me.

Part 1: Make a list of all the activities you do in a typical week: work, health/fitness, relationship time, social life, grocery shopping, church, chores, etc. There are 168 hours per week. In a perfect world, how many hours do you want to spend sleeping? Working? Exercising? Going to class? Meetings? Spending time with family/friends? Watching TV? Most of us budget our money but fail to budget our time. And there never seems to be enough of either, does there? This system will show how much time we all waste and how to make the most of it, and actually have more leisure time.

After you’ve accounted for all the hours per week you choose to invest in sleep, relationships, health/fitness, parenting, socializing, working, chores, errands, commuting, etc., all the remaining hours are yours for fun, relaxation, vegging, or perhaps for a new hobby…writing that book or taking that scuba diving class. The first time I budgeted my time in this fashion, I was shocked that I had over 48 hours of wasted time! That is two whole days! Imagine what one can do with an extra two days a week. I started seeing that I unconsciously wasted hours a day with TV shows I didn’t care about, playing on the Internet, and the like. When I started rationing those activities, I immediately created plenty of time to write the book I’d said I didn’t have enough time to write.

Part 2: Choose a color to correspond to each domain of your life (i.e, work is red, health is blue, family is green, leisure is purple, spirituality is pink, etc.) and then take your calendar and mark in the exact hours you wish to invest in each area for the next week. I.e., work is 9-5 Monday through Friday, so draw a red box around those hours. Then draw a blue box around the block of times you plan to exercise that week. Then draw a green box around the hours you spend with your family. And so on. Consolidate your waking hours into general domains and color code them and design your week and your life! Give yourself a few weeks to tweak it and see what works and what does not.

When you write things down, you are giving your subconscious instructions. Don’t you always show up for your DDS appointments when you have them written in your datebook? Hair appointment? Job interview? Well, here is a sure-fire technique for showing up for self. When you write down everything that is important to your life in your calendar, you make it happen. You are psychologically geared up for it. Of course emergencies will come up from time to time, but you re-design.

The beauty of Living in Domains is threefold. (1) You can see at a glance what is not functioning or productive ……not enough family time, too much leisure, etc. (2) It is guilt-free living. You are not worried about exercising when you are at your volunteer job because you have planned it and can completely engage in the selfless community service. You’re not worried about work when you are with your mate because you have already accounted for enough hours for work and now you can “shift gears” into the romantic domain. (3) You are in control of your time and make it work for you. You put yourself in the driver’s seat of your life, rather than bouncing around in the back, driven by “fate.” I’ve yet to see anyone not find more time to do what they want as a result of this technique.

If there is something you want to do more of (work out), choose a color you love. If there is something you want to do less of (TV), choose your least favorite color. We tend to be drawn toward what we like and move away from what we don’t. A simple self-hypnotic suggestion!

You deserve to live your life by your own design to the absolute fullest. Now whip out your datebook, magic markers, and execute!

Set the Stage: Put Family First

Today's hectic lifestyles make it hard to live the ‘family first' dream. But you can create a family- and comfort-oriented home. It's all a matter of staging your house for the kind of play you'd like to act out.

With children living in your home, we probably don't need to tell you this is not likely to be a good time to have a white-on-white or glass, glass and more glass décor scheme. And if you think that will change as the children grow and the pets get older…well, everyone has dreams.

Budget? What Budget?
Like many families, yours likely has budget considerations. But let's throw those out in the advance planning stage. Look at homemaking magazines and web sites for ideas. Window shop at exclusive (read out-of-your-price range) stores. Watch the seemingly unending stream of do-it-yourself shows on TV.

Then sit down as a family (on whatever furniture you have), consider your needs, and start narrowing down your likes and dislikes. You might need furniture that will hold up to the demands of young children. You know: the spills; the impromptu diaper changes; the jumping; the fort-making.

Get Used to It
So, you've decided what type of furniture your family needs. Now, time to talk about that budget. Your print, online, in stores and TV research helped you discover what you like and what you don't like, as well as the expensive options to choose from.

But…you've got all those young, messy kids. And eventually they will be older (still-messy) teens. And buying furniture now shouldn't mean shelving the kids' college plans. So let's talk bargains amongst the high prices.

Check out local garage/tag and estate sales. Stalk the online for sale by owner services--craigslist is one option, freecycle is another. And don't forget to pop into your local Salvation Army or Goodwill branch—you just never know where the furniture bargains will pop up.

New Take
But for some, new furniture should be just that – new. If you can work your budget to purchase new, it still doesn't need to cost a fortune.

There are options to fit every budget. Mass retailers offer family furniture of all types. Check the sales and clearance items at your local high-end department stores and furniture retailers. The options also include the local furniture clearance center or a wholesale Amish furniture dealer. If you look around, you're likely to find what you want to create family comfort and set the stage for family fun for years to come. And all at a price you can afford.
