Usually for adding up some extra security we normally use BIOS password weather it is optional. User can change BIOS setting as per his security requirement purpose.

In case of forgetting of password, user should contact to IT department or to the manufacturing service department to break or reset the BIOS password. This process can be expensive because it’s not covered in desktop’s warranty. So guys you don’t need to be afraid from this condition because in this tutorial you will learn to remove or break your desktop’s BIOS or CMOS password easily by just using these password breaking stuffs.

Solution #2 – Resting By Hacking Software –

The second best option for resting the bios password is to reset by the use of hacking software’s like “Hirens Boot CD 15.2”. We only use this software because it’s a bootable iso file who having lots of utility tools in it for diagnosing and repairing our computer

#1 – Boot the “Hirens Boot CD”

First you’ll need to boot that software by the use of boot menu you’ll just need to press an assign keyboard key and that will open the boot menu only when the computer starts. Normally the first boot screen will give you the instruction like a key name to open it or either you can try some default keys to open it. The default keys be like Esc, F7, F8, F9, F10, F11 and F12 you can try these keys one at a time by pressing it again and again after the 2 sec of your system starts and if the key is correct your boot menu will open.

Select your bootable pendrive what you’ve made recently and press enter. In my case I’ve made a bootable disc for me that’s why I’m selecting Cd-Rom drive in the example picture given below.

#2 –Select “Dos Programs”.

Right after when your pendrive boots you’ll able to the screen like this so, just select the Dos Program in the main menu for now.

#3 –Now Select the “Next…” on the 9th No.

#4– Select the Bios Cracker 5.0 tool in the BIOS/CMOS tools.

After clicking on that suggest software your computer’s display gets flutter for some second and then that software starts automatically and asks you to enter the language and some other settings, just clicking on enter until that configuration disappears. After that this software will asks you to “Press enter key to continue”. You’ll Just need to press your enter key and for now on your computers bios password got reset or clear.

Now reboot your desktop and take a look to your bios password is removed or not and If the password still remains then you should try ours next step listed below.

Solution #3 – Resting by Shorting Jumper

The another best way for resetting a bios password is to by shorting the bios or CMOS jumper. Yes shorting that bios jumper for 10 second can broke your bios password for reset your bios too.

Normally you can locate this jumper nearby your cmos battery or maybe beside the bios chip as named CLR_BIOS or CLRTC etc. and it’s be look like the given image below.

So, now you’ll need to open your computer case and find that jumper. After that reattaches that metal cover from 1-2 to 2-3 for 10 sec and after that move back the metal cover to 1-2 again.

After shorting the password has been cleared and if it does then assemble back your computer’s case and starts your computer to load the default setting in the bios to make bios on its original position. If the password is still remains then try our last solution listed below.

Solution #4 – Resting by CMOS Battery

All the cmos and bios setting is saved in the bios chip which was attached on the motherboard and the main work of cmos battery is to giving continuous power supply to the bios chip to save all the settings. If you unplug or remove the battery for above 5 sec, the bios setting will be reset or cleared.

Step 1 – Unplug all the power supply which is connected to your computer. Means power cable.

Step 2 – Open your computer case.

Step 3 – Disconnect the CMOS battery.

After finding the battery, just disconnect it or remove the battery for 5 sec:

Step 4 – Short the CMOS battery connector by the use of metal wire because in some of motherboard manufacturers backup the power to the Bios Chipset by using of some capacitor that’s why we short them to remove the remains power supply.

Step 5 – Reinstall the CMOS battery and assemble back your computer case and that’s it. Power up your computer and the bios got reset.

Note – Sometimes these solutions doesn’t work. In that case you’ll have to re-install your bios software or replacing the bios chip.

Windows Boot Manager or BOOTMGR whatever you call is a windows boot manger which is normally located in your computer’s operating system boot volume (Mainly C:\ drive). The main work of this Bootmgr is to control boot volume which helps to start winload.exe when a computers starts to load a preinstalled windows.

Bootmgr is only located in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and Window Vista, you can’t find this boot manger in the previous version of windows like Windows XP. Windows Xp have its own boot manger which called NTLDR.

Solution 1 – Write Protect Enable/Disable Switch

Most of the pendrive and SD card having a switch which can turn On/ Off the write protection just by switching the switch. So, if you enable the write protections by mistake then find that switch and turn off the protection.

Solution 2 – Change the Drive Permissions

Changing the drive permission can helps sometimes. So, change the permission if someone changed it or it was done by some viruses. Just tick the “Full Control” under “Everyone” user name.

Step 1 – Open CMD as administrator.

Step 2 – Type “diskpart”

Step 3 – Type “list disk”. That will show all connected disk to your computer.

Step 4 – Type “select disk 1” (For example, type “select disk 2” if disk 2 is the write-protected).

Step 6 – Type “create partition primary”.

Step 7 – Type “select partition 1”.
