hello again!!!!

i've been really busy the last 18 months and so much has happened......more on that later....just wanted to say hi and thank all of you who have been religiously following me. I've got your e mails and i've finally found the time . It's great to find myself writing again on this blog.

I was flipping through a magazine and found a survey that showed 51% of homemakers are very stressed about life as compared to 29% of mothers who worked full time. Most women say its stressful at home AND at work.

Still on the topic of kids & money, Suze Orman who is a personal finance expert on CNBC say that children learn from the money habits of parents. It's not enough to tell your kids about money, you've gotta lead by example too.

I really enjoyed Ku Ka Tong's article ( teaching kids about money in Personal Money Feb 2009). Robert Kiyosaki also has a great book called rich kid, smart kid which stresses financial literacy in today's world.

Hi Sonia . I just gave birth and i plan on going on Atkins (high protein diet ) to shed the pounds. Can i do Atkins while breast feeding?

Hi! According to Dr Atkins book, you can't do Atkins while breast feeding. Lots of mothers tell me that breast feeding actually helps a little in the weight loss because it increases the Basal Metabolic Rate. Try exercise and yoga.Enjoy this time with your baby.....it can be stressful trying to adjust AND lose weight at the same time. Don't be too hard on yourself

Any attempt to awaken them may increase their agitation and prolong the episode. As night terrors are brief events, children usually return to sleep with no recollection of the episode.

Dr Marilyn Daniels found that preschoolers who were taught sign language scored significantly higher on the Peabody Vocabulary Test when compared to preschoolers who did not learn sign language. Daniels concluded that a preschooler's vocabulary can be improved if words are presented visually and kinesthetically as well as verbally.
