Even though Orlando – after New York – has one of the largest populations of Puerto Ricans outside of Puerto Rico, you would be surprised to know that there aren’t that many Puerto Rican restaurants in the city.

Our favorite spots to sip on that delicious concoction of tequila, triple sec, limes and sugar, were Mi Tierra, Rita’s on the River and Café Ole. Of course, there are <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FunEatsTravels/~4/JESl6nEhF1Q" height="1" width="1"/>

Central Florida’s Greeky side

Located in the Embarcadero, near Market Street, the building offers awesome views of the bay that includes the Oakland Bridge… But aside the views, it offers food and lots of it!

One of the most important countries in the world – and economies right now – is the beautiful Brazil… There’s a lot to say, see and do in Brazil… But in this post I’m going to focus on the food of two of the biggest cities: Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

If you think that Brazil is all about meat, you are not entirely mistaken. However, there’s so much more! In 1904 a pirate and his buccaneers invaded the bay of the city of Tampa, or so the legend says… No, it wasn’t Jack Sparrow or Barbosa… it was Jose Gaspar…. And every year in January he returns to reclaim the city.

Gaspar’s ship, Gasparilla, appears at the south end of the Hillsborough Bay surrounded by other crafts – little and big, all trying to defend the city. During our downtime at home, we love watching the Food Network, Cooking Channel and the Travel Channel. We have always thought that aside from a few shows that have come to Orlando, like Samantha Brown’s Passport to Weekends, the city needs more recognition when it comes to food and travel.

Why hasn’t Adam from Man vs Food has come to the City Beautiful to do a challenge? There’s much more to the island of Oahu than Honolulu and its busy Waikiki. If you go to the most known island of the state of Hawaii, be sure to rent a car and drive around the island exactly like we did. It is worth the experience.

Oahu is a relatively small island; you can drive around it in 3 to 4 hours without stopping of course. But where is the fun in doing that?

Spending two days or even less than 48 hours in a busy city is never enough, especially if you are visiting San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Capital City. However, you can definitely see, do and eat a lot!

My recent visit to the island was short but longer that usually. I often go for one day and come back the next one. But this time I had a little bit of kosher time and I took full advantage of it. When we started planning our long overdue honeymoon, a few of our friends and co-workers told us that Oahu was the less Hawaiian of the 8 archipelago islands. Why is that - we asked. Well apparently is because of the famous Waikiki, the busy and modern beach area of Honolulu, Hawaiian capital city.

It is indeed modern, with a lot of hotels, restaurants, stores and <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FunEatsTravels/~4/ckWmSY-lNyo" height="1" width="1"/>

<georss:box>21.1885989 -158.0162618 21.4252899 -157.7004048</georss:box>

Food Trucks Galore
