One of the best art series I’ve had the pleasure of coming across is that of Motohiro Nezu’s, featuring celebrities in skeletal form. The talented artist has taken several iconic figures and given them the grim reaper treatment by converting their faces and bodies into nothing but bones. Although these individuals have been given the horror treatment, they’re still recognizable due to the iconic poses they have been depicted in. Some of the familiar faces Motohiro Nezu has used include Run DMC, Jimi Hendrix, Jules and Vincent from Pulp Fiction and the Notorious B.I.G.

OHEKA Castle Hotel & Estate, Huntington, NY

With developed economies in the U.S. and Western Europe still struggling to recapture their pre-recession growth trajectories, many smart money managers are finding stronger returns in emerging markets. The companies that follow are among the largest holdings in top-performing emerging market mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, as ranked by Morningstar and Standard & Poor's.

CNOOC

This Chinese energy giant has a $96 billion market cap and recently moved into the U.S. by acquiring a one-third stake in Chesapeake Energy's oil shale project in Texas for $1.8 billion in October. The popular Oppenheimer Developing Markets Fund and the Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index ETF, the top two most popular emerging markets funds this year according to S&P, both have the company in the top 5% of their asset portfolios.

Petrobas Petroleo Brasil

The Brazilian oil company says it could the largest oil producer in a decade after announcing quarterly profits of $5 billion this month (see "Petrobras CFO: We'll be Bigger Than Exxon by 2020". A host of mutual funds have the company in the top 5% of their asset holdings, including Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index ETF, Oppenheimer Developing Markets Fund and the iShares MSCI BRIC Index Fund.

Vale

The Brazilian metals and mining company appears in numerous mutual funds with returns of 15% or higher. This large company with a $167 billion market cap is popular in emerging markets funds, appearing in the Delaware Emerging Markets Fund, which has a 10-year return of 18.2%, and the even better performing BlackRock Latin America fund, which has a 21% 10-year return.

China Mobile

This Hong Kong-based investment holding company and telecom provider commands a marketplace in mainland China and has a $202 billion market cap. It appears in the largest asset investments of iShares MSCI BRIC Index Fund, the Aberdeen China Opportunities and the Delaware Emerging Markets Fund.

America Movil SAB de C.V

The Mexico City-based telecom that offers service across Latin America, appears as a holding in the Vanguard Emerging Markets Stock Index ETF, the Oppenheimer Developing Markets Fund and in the BlackRock Latin America.

Gazprom OAO ADR

This Russian energy company produces and supplies heat and electrical power and is found in a number of funds that promise exposure to Russia's growing economy, including the highly-ranked iShares MSCI BRIC Index Fund.

Itau Unibanco

Brazilian bank that provides commercial and investment banking services and that operates 3,936 branches in Brazil and internationally. It is held in the DFA Emerging Markets Core, which has returned 16.3% in five years, and in the BlackRock Latin America fund.

Reliance Industries

India's largest private-sector companyReliance controls businesses in energy and materials production, including gas and oil exploration. It makes up 3.25% of the assets held currently in the iShares MSCI BRIC Index Fund.

The Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, home of the Spruce Goose, is constructing the Wings & Waves Water Park and it’s going to be a blast. A retired 747 airplane has been placed above the air museum complex and is being converted into an indoor water park. In case you didn't notice, Latinos are virtually everywhere: on TV, in movies, on the radio and playing your favorite sports. In honor of all their achievements, we decided to take a look at the 12 most successful Latinos of 2010.

Eva Longoria

Okay, maybe toward the end of 2010 everyone was focusing on Longoria's divorce from Tony Parker, but that doesn't mean she didn't still have a successful year. As a matter of fact, the "Desperate Housewives" actress also presented the MTV Europe Music awards (where she used a ham costume that seemed to mock Lady Gaga), released her own fragrance and launched a successful charity campaign that asked her Twitter followers to help out the needy in Haiti

Javier Bardem

This year Javier took home the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival for his role in "Biutiful." He also filmed "The Tree of Life" with director Terrence Malick and married superstar hottie Penelope Cruz, with whom he is expecting his first child. Furthermore, all signs point to Bardem continuing to kick ass in 2011. For starters, he will be one of the honorees at the Palm Springs Film Festival in California this January. And get this: He will also appear in "Glee" next year.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia would probably agree that this year has been the best one of her professional life thus far, as the Colombian bombshell pretty much established herself as the hottest Latina in Hollywood. She's completed a huge transformation as a star, having gone from a pretty face on Spanish-speaking TV to an Emmy-nominated actress for her role on the American sitcom "Modern Family." In addition, Vergara was pretty much everywhere this year -- and rightfully so, since at 38 years old she looks better than ever. She was recently photographed for the Got Milk? campaign together with her 18-year-old son, and she is rumored to be negotiating a juicy, $8 million-contract to launch a beauty line with Kmart. Not many Latinas can flaunt all that!

He didn't only come out of the closet; when he threw open the closet doors and stepped out, he did so with a book full of confessions in one hand and a new single in the other. Martin received enthusiastic support for coming out, and the book, "Me", made it to the New York Times Best-sellers list. If there's one teenage Latina who made waves for all the right reasons in 2010, it's Selena Gomez. Where do we start? She made her acting debut in the film "Ramona and Beezus," she got a lead role in the movie "Monte Carlo" (coming in February 2011), and her band's second album, "A Year Without Rain," debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200. She also continued her work as spokesperson for UNICEF and won honors -- Gracie Awards, Teen Choice Awards and Kids' Choice Awards, among others. Oh, and let's not forget that she also earned her high school diploma through homeschooling this year. Would we be exaggerating if we said she is the hardest-working Latina in showbiz right now? Probably not.

Bruno Mars

Bruno, whose real name is Peter Hernandez and who is half Puerto Rican, was the Latino breakout star of 2010. Sure, he ran into a bit of a problem back in September when he was arrested for drug possession, but he managed to bounce right back into ass-kicking mode. His debut album, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans," was just released in October, and he's already garnered seven Grammy nominations. If you still haven't heard Bruno on B.o.B's hit single "Nothing on You," give it a listen -- and, you know, crawl out from under that rock

Shakira

On top of being in the opening and closing act of this year's World Cup and being one of the creators of its official song, "Waka Waka," the Colombian is in the middle of a world tour promoting her new album "Sale el Sol," which is doing awesome on the charts. Anything else? Yep. The United Nations gave her a medal for being "a true ambassador for children and young people, for quality education and social justice."

Enrique Iglesias

We have to hand it to Enrique for managing to stay hot after all these years, and 2010 was no exception for the Spanish prettyboy. He parted ways with Interscope Records, moved on to another label, (Universal Music Group's Universal Republic) and released "Euphoria," his latest album. His single "I Like It" reached No. 1 on the Billboard's Hot/Club Dance Play. On the "Español" side of things, he also released a single, "Cuando me enamoro." And yes, it reached number 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin charts.

Jennifer Lopez

We don't know how J.Lo managed to sleep this year. She just became the new face for L'Oréal, she signed a deal with the department store Kohl's to launch a line of menswear with her husband Marc Anthony, she released her own fragrance (named "Love and Glamour"), she became a spokesperson for the Boys & Girls Club, and she even got her kids featured in the campaign for a Gucci line of children's wear. Yes, she also starred in the movie "The Backup Plan," but… we're not sure about calling that a "successful" movie. Oh, and of course she was announced as one of the new judges on next year's "American Idol." Whether she's the new Simon or the new Paula, it looks like 2011 will continue to be huge for J.Lo.

Javier "Chicharito" Hernández

Before this year's World Cup started, almost every soccer fan debated about who was better, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Nevertheless, the biggest surprise was newcomer Mexican player "Chicharito," who was considered the quickest player of the entire tournament. In 2010, Chicharito also signed a deal with Manchester United, one of the biggest teams in Europe. Doesn't all of this success make his nickname (which means "little pea" in Spanish) sound even funnier?

Carlos Slim

If someone asked you to name the richest man in the world, you would probably say Bill Gates. Not anymore. Gates was on top of the chart last year, but now Forbes magazine has given the top spot to Mexican telecommunications magnate Carlos Slim, who has more than $60 billion in his bank account. He's not your typical red carpet-walking celebrity, but no one can deny he's successful.

Edgar Rentería

Up until early November, the words "Colombian star" referred specifically to Sofia Vergara in U.S. pop culture. But then for a few days Edgar Rentería (by no means a newbie in the world of baseball) became the most famous Colombian celebrity on U.S. soil when he hit the homerun that made the San Francisco Giants the 2010 World Series champions. He was the unanimous pick for the MVP award. Rentería makes about $9 million a year and is set to renew his contract with the Giants for one more season at a rumored $7.5 million. Meanwhile, Sofia Vergara reclaimed her title as America's favorite Colombian.

#1: Serious Cleavage

While you may be tempted to show your fun side a little more at a work party that takes place outside the office walls, don’t get too carried away with the low-cut stuff. Just because there’s a dance floor in the room doesn’t mean you should reach for your Saturday club night attire.

#2: Holiday Colors

Feel free to deck the halls—not yourself! Reaching for a bright red dress or a shimmery green number won’t get you into trouble, but trust us and stay away from pairing the two, lest someone gets confused and starts to wrap a garland around you.

#3: The Highest Heels You Own

Go ahead and climb into some fancy heels for your work party, but hold off on the ones that make you taller than your boss (and her boss, and her boss, too!). Plus, you don’t want your coworkers making jokes for the next year about what you do once the office is closed: Teetering in sky-high heels might lead less fashion-obsessed folks to ask how you can walk in those “stripper heels.”
