Media Spring Restaurant Week

Media Restaurant Week is coming to Everybody's Hometown March 22 -28th!

Sensory-Friendly Saturday at Brandywine River Museum

Individuals on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families are invited to join us for early access to the Museum and a variety of creative and accessible activities. Families will have the opportunity to explore the Museum, discovering some of their favorite summer hobbies throughout paintings and art activities.

PEEPS in the Village

This spring, Peddler’s Village presents the 3rd Annual PEEPS® in the Village, on display from Friday, March 9 through Sunday, April 12. The colorful display will include more than 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Admission to the display is free. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite entries. Housed in the new Visitor & Event Center, located off Street Road and Peddler’s Lane.

If you would like to capture your special visit, be sure to bring your camera since the Easter Bunny likes to take pictures with all special guests!

The Music Room hosts a special, themed holiday display. Kids of all ages will delight in a miniature Garden Railway decked out for the holidays. Thousands of poinsettias accented with amaryllis, artemisia, begonias, cyclamen, hybrid lilies, kalanchoes, paperwhites, red-berried plants, etc other flowers flourish inside acres of heated glass conservatories. Living wreaths, swags, and live floral trees adorn rooms throughout the Conservatory. Included in Gardens admission.

The lights will start on Thanksgiving night (November 23). We will run through at least January 1, 2024. We look forward to seeing everyone and have some exciting new stuff planned for this year. We will also accept letters to Santa again this year.

We invite you to walk around and view our display. We, please, ask that you pull over and park next to our home. Please respect our neighbor's properties. Please do not park in front of our neighbor's homes, and please do not turn around in their driveways. There is a mailbox located at the front of the house for your letters to Santa. Don't forget to tune your radio to 87.9, so you can hear all the Christmas music and movie clips on the big screen.

The Springfield Fire Company will host the annual tree lighting at 4pm on December 7th. This is always a magical night in Springfield. See you on Saxer!

Visit with Santa at Broomall Fire Company

Join us on Saturday, December 6th as we kick off a full day of festive fun at the Broomall Fire Company. This year, we’re excited to welcome Santa Claus and host a pancake breakfast prepared by the Broomall Fire Company Auxiliary!

Santa Visit (10:00am–1:00pm):

Santa will be stopping by the Broomall Fire Company (1 N. Malin Rd) to meet with families, take photos, and spread some holiday cheer with the Marple Township community. While this event is free to the public, pancakes will be hot off the griddle and for sale!

Santa Parade (4:30pm):

Want to catch Santa as he rides through town? Make sure to wave as he travels across Marple Township with a firetruck escort! Santa’s team will roll out from the station around 4:30pm, following the parade route shown in the photo below. New for this year, we have a reliable program to share real-time tracking information as the parade moves through town. A tracking link will be available as the event gets closer.

Tree Lighting:

Santa’s final stop of the evening will be at Veterans Park to help light the Marple Township Christmas Tree! Be sure to stick around for an awesome firework show,

Christmas in Wayne

Welcome the holiday season with Christmas in Wayne! Friday evening, enjoy carriage rides, arts and crafts at the Fire House, carolers, tree lighting, and Santa's Arrival. The event is from 5:30 - 8 pm.
Saturday, it is the Radnor Memorial Library Elves for Shelves Fun Run and 5 k at 8 am and the Santa Parade with Santa Pictures at 10 am.

Narberth Dickens Festival

The Narberth Dickens Festival is a free family event held each December on the streets of downtown Narberth. It draws thousands to this little borough every year, and it has become the fastest-growing holiday festival in the Philadelphia area. In this Dickens-themed event, the town of Narberth is transformed into 1840's London, as Ebenezer Scrooge and all the characters from A Christmas Carol roam the streets for an afternoon.

All Aboard! This before-hours event includes early access to the trains in action and a continental breakfast in the museum’s café.

Schedule:

This is an early-access event, in which you will be admitted into the Train Gallery before the museum opens. Museum doors will open beginning at 8:30 a.m. At 9:30 a.m., the museum will open, and other visitors may begin to visit the Train Gallery. A light continental breakfast will be provided for program participants in the Millstone Cafe until 10 a.m.

A holiday favorite since 1972, the Brandywine Railroad features trains running on 2,000 feet of track. It contains more than 1,000 pieces, including locomotives, passenger and freight trains, and trolleys that pass through a small village, a farm, factories, a drive-in movie theater, and even a carnival.

A dazzling array of both toy and scale model trains can be seen chugging through the varied scenery, including those made by Lionel, Williams, Atlas, Mike’s Train House, K-line, and others. Interactive components are also incorporated into the display to enhance engagement.

Welcome the holiday season with Christmas in Wayne! Friday evening, enjoy carriage rides, arts and crafts at the Fire House, carolers, tree lighting, and Santa's Arrival. The event is from 5:30 to 8 pm.
Saturday, it is the Radnor Memorial Library Elves for Shelves Fun Run and 5 k at 8 am and the Santa Parade with Santa Pictures at 10 am.

West Chester’s famous hometown Christmas Parade is back! Parade goers can expect Chester County’s favorite performers as well as a variety of notable newcomers to our incredible family parade experience. This year: More marching bands by popular demand, as well as award-winning floats, sparkling performances, and of course – Santa’s much-anticipated appearance!

Narberth Dickens Festival
Sunday, December 7th Noon – 4 pm

The Narberth Dickens Festival is a free, family-friendly event held each December in downtown Narberth. It draws thousands to this little borough each year and has become the fastest-growing holiday festival in the Philadelphia area. In this Dickens-themed event, the town of Narberth is transformed into 1840s London, as Ebenezer Scrooge and all the characters from A Christmas Carol roam the streets for an afternoon.

Christkindlmarkt 2025 in West Chester

The 6th annual Christkindlmarkt is returning to Gay Street on Saturday, December 13, from 11am – 7pm!

Presented by the West Chester Downtown Foundation and hosted by the Chester County Art Association & Downtown West Chester, this outdoor holiday market is free to the public. A Christmas tradition since 1959, Strasburg Rail Road welcomes a very special visitor every November and December. That’s right, Santa himself will climb aboard the historic steam train to greet families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA, and back. As a special treat, children ages 11 and under will receive a gift from Santa and his helper during this nostalgic 45-minute steam train ride.

The Jolly Old Elf himself rides the train, greets everyone on board, and gives all children a chocolate treat. Be sure to bring your camera and have Santa pose for pictures with your child during this 1½-hour round-trip to Ashland.

Experience the magic of riding aboard our festively decorated, 100-year-old heated coaches, each adorned with thousands of holiday lights! Many of our trackside neighbors also decorate their homes and yards for our passengers to enjoy during this 1-hour evening trip through the Red Clay Valley.

The lights will start on Thanksgiving night (November 27). We will run through at least January 1, 2026. We look forward to seeing everyone and have some exciting new stuff planned for this year. We will also accept letters to Santa again this year.

We invite you to walk around and view our display. We ask that you pull over and park next to our home. Please respect our neighbors' properties. Please do not park in front of our neighbors' homes, and please do not turn around in their driveways. There is a mailbox located at the front of the house for your letters to Santa. Don't forget to tune your radio to 87.9 to hear all the Christmas music and movie clips on the big screen.

An annual trip to Pumpkinland has been a family tradition for generations of Delaware Valley Residents. During the months of September and October, Pumpkinland takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger-than-life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, local history, and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples.
