Final Victory Belongs to True Believers

Allah, the Almighty is The Greatest, no other being is greater
than Allah. No other speech is greater than the speech of His. None of the
creations are praised the way He has been praised. He has exalted Himself
in the Noble Quran.

The general phenomenon of the world events now a days is quite disturbing
with respect to the Muslims. The allegations or the obstacles which they
face in the way of practicing or preaching, our divine religion is indeed
very sad, in some countries. However, one should not lose hope and faith in
Allah and consider these hurling times as a test from Him. It is because
Allah tests the patience of the believers.

Islam is the fastest growing religion on the face of the earth. The
demographic study of Muslim population is nearly one and a half billion out
of the seven billion population of the earth. This is Allah’s promise that
the truth will always prevail through pious Muslims.

The final victory will always be for Muslims and we have numerous examples
of our predecessors which explicitly speak about their strong faith and
belief.

It was for His Grace and Mercy that He instilled the inclination and
passion of ‘Tawheed’ in the hearts of the believers which led to the
victory of the past nations. If we become real believers as the believers
in the Battle of Badr, the position of us Muslims will have an upper-hand
in all circumstances, InshaAllah!

Allah, the AlMighty, says in the Noble Quran about the believers in the
Battle of Badr, “And Allah did not make it but as good news for you, and
that your hearts might be at ease thereby, and victory is only from Allah,
the Mighty, the Wise.” ( 3:126)

“And Allah did certainly assist you at Badr when you were weak; be careful
of (your duty to) Allah then, that you may give thanks.” (3:123) Allah’s
help and guidance will surely reach those who are careful in their duty
toward Allah, who pay their gratitude and ask for forgiveness abundantly.

In the battle of the Confederates, the believers hearts were filled with
greatness of Allah, their love and fear for Him, they pinned all their
hopes onto Him, and had complete faith in the Lord of the Universe. These
were the causes through which Allah, The AlMighty with His bounties and
Mercy granted them victory.

“And when the believers saw the allies, they said: This is what Allah and
His Messenger promised us, and Allah and His Messenger spoke the truth; and
it only increased them in faith and submission.” (33:22)

Allah, The Supreme says, “If Allah assists you, then there is none that can
overcome you, and if He forsakes you, who is there then that can assist you
after Him? And on Allah should the believers rely.” (3:160)

“And certainly messengers before you were rejected, but they were patient
on being rejected and persecuted until Our help came to them; and there is
none to change the words of Allah...” (6:34)

It is crystal clear from the above mentioned Quranic verses that help,
assistance or aid can reach us only from The Mighty Controller of all the
affairs of the universe. Victory can never be granted to us through our
force or us having an upper-hand, but victory will surely be granted to us
if we fulfill the promise mentioned in the divine verse below, “And, O my
people! ask forgiveness of your Rabb, then turn to Him; He will send on you
clouds pouring down abundance of rain and add strength to your strength,
and do not turn back guilty.” (11:52)

Be mindful of Allah and Allah will protect you. (Tirmidhi)

The above Hadith indicates that if we protect our religion then Allah, The
Great will give us protection and strengthen us in our faith, ourselves,
our minds, our wealth and our off-spring. SuhanAllah!

Islam is like a spring, the more one forces it down the more it will spring
up truly all by Allah’s Will. The following verse conveys the message, “And
be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if
you are believers.’ ( 3: 139)

Muslims believe that Jesus peace be upon him according to the Holy Quran is a wonderful, humble, generous messenger of God who came down and revealed God's words to his people, the people of Israel. Muslims do not believe that Jesus is God, nor they believe that God ever chose to come down to earth in a form of a man to die for our sins to purify us and forgive us.

According to Islam, Jesus never died on the cross, nor ever wanted to die on the cross, nor ever was born to die on the cross. Muslims believe that Jesus was sentenced to death, and people thought that he got executed on the cross. The Holy Quran rejects this idea, and claims that it is a false one. Jesus never died on the cross, nor he ever died for anyone's sins. Let us look at what the Holy Quran (The Muslims Holy Scripture) says about this issue:

Let's look at verse 4:156-159 "That they rejected Faith; That they uttered against Mary A grave false charge; That they said (in boast): 'We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary, The Messenger of Allah.' But they killed him not, Nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not. Nay, Allah raised him up Unto Himself; and Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the people of the book (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (Jesus) Before his death; And on the Day of Judgment He (Jesus) will be a witness Against them."

Abu Usaid Malik bin Rabi'ah As-Sa'idi (Radhiallahu Anhu) reported: We
were sitting with Messenger of Allah (salla-Llaahu 'alayhi wa-sallam)
when a man of Banu Salamah came to him and asked, "O Messenger of Allah!
Is there any obedience ot parents left that I can show to them after
their death?" He replied, Yes, to pray for them, to supplicate for their
forgiveness, to fulfill their promises after their death, to maintain
the ties of kinship which cannot be maintained except through them, and
honour their friends." (Abu Dawud)

Commentary: We learn from this Hadith that one should consider the life
of one's parents a blessing because their life provides one with an
opportunity to serve them wholeheartedly, which is ordained by Allah. If
one wants to be nice to them after their death, one should adopt the
methods mentioned in this hadith. It needs to be noted that it does not
mention the ceremonies like recitation of the Noble Quran on the third,
seventh and fortieth day after the death of a person, in vogue in our
society. All these methods of conveying the reward of virtuous deeds or
rites are wrong for the reason that they are neither helpful for the
dead not the living. What really benefits the dead as well as living, is
prayer and begging forgiveness from Allah. In this Hadith, these have
been regarded as acts of beneficence for the deceased parents. It
clearly means that the children will be rewarded for the virtuous acts
they do for their parents and the status of the deceased parents will
also be elevated in the next world. The acceptance of the prayer in
favor of the deceased parents is also confirmed from that hadith also
which tells that death brings to an end all the activates, except the
following.

Firstly, an ongoing sadaqa (Sadaqah Jariya); like the digging of a well,
the building of a masjid, etc,.

Secondly, knowledge which benefits Muslims.

Thirdly, prayers of virtuous offspring.

Islam Discourage Begging or asking for money without being in need

Sahl ibn al-Handhaliyyah (ra) reported that the Messenger of Allah
(saas) said: "Whoever asks people for money when he has what is
sufficient for him is only asking for more of the embers of Hell." They
asked him, "O Messenger of Allah, what is sufficient so that he does not
have to ask for more.?" He said: "Having enough to eat lunch and
dinner."

Ibn Mas'ood (ra) reported that the Messenger of Allah (saas) said:
"Whoever asks the people for money when he has what is sufficient for
him will come on the Day of Judgment with scratches and lacerations on
his face."

Begging is one of the big problems in poor countries, where there are less resources available and where people find easy to start begging with different styles and unique mathods. Some beggars come to the mosques and interrupt people's worship with their complaints; some of them lie, bringing forget papers and tell tall tales; some of them distribute their family members around different
mosques, then they regroup and move on to other mosques. Some of these people may in fact be well-off to an extent which only Allah knows; only when they die do others find out what they have left behind. Meanwhile, there are others who are truly in need, but people are not aware of it
and may think they have enough, because they are too proud and do not beg of people at all; nobody knows their true situation so no one gives them charity. This is the reason why professional beggars are disscorage in Islam because there will is to grab the charity which belongs to the real needy people of the society.

People misguided by those Qadianism (Ahmadiyya) should search for True Islamic Teaching and should know the Muslims views about those believes, most of the qadianis follows qadianism because of their ancestors misguided once by mirza gulam ahmed qadiani and now they keep following those wrong believes, I urge every qadiani specially youth to at least once ask Allah to give them guidance’s to truth and at least once try to read the reasons and explanations given by Muslim Ulema about Gulam ahmed qadiani faith and believes and why its contradictory to basic teaching of Islam, I hope every qadiani to accept Islam as there ancestor were Muslim before the Fitna of Qulam Ahmed Qadiani. Translations of the Meaning of Some of the Ayat:

We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps." [43:23]

When they are told, "Come to what GOD has revealed, and to the messenger," they say, "What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us."[5:104]

When they are told, "Follow what GOD has revealed herein," they say, "We follow only what we found our parents doing." [2:170]

[Surah Al-Ahzab : Ayah 40]

Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his own self. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear another’s burden.

Whosoever does righteous good deed it is for (the benefit of) his own self, and whosoever does evil, it is against his own self, and your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves.

[surat Fussilat : Ayat 46]

And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden, and if one heavily laden calls another to (bear) his load, nothing of it will be lifted even though he be near of kin.

[surat Fatir : Verse 18]

Allah (S.W.T.) will say in the Day of Judgment:

"So today none of you can profit or harm one another".

Celebration of Eid Milaad un Nabi in Islam

Fatwa Regarding Eid Milaad un Nabi Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) Birthday

I explained in my article on celebration of Eid-e-Milaad-un-Nabi, holding a meeting to discuss different aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet is a very meritorious act for which the Muslims should strive to the best of their ability. But confining this discussion to the events of the birth of the Holy Prophet and restricting it to a particular date and holding attendance at such meetings as necessary or obligatory for every Muslim renders this practice as bid'ah or innovation. Mostly the meetings of Maulid today are of this type. Therefore, contemporary Ulema of Deoband have declared it a bid'ah.
If the life of the Holy Prophet is made subject of a meeting, and the meeting is free of the above mentioned defects, nobody can call it a bid'ah. It is in this context that some scholars of the past have allowed the practice.

Significance of Ashura of the Month of Moharram in Islam

Month of Moharram and Ashura in Islam

Praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and Chief of the Messengers, and upon all his family and companions.

Allah’s sacred month of Muharram is a blessed and important month. It is the first month of the Hijri calendar and is one of the four sacred months concerning which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, the number of months with Allaah is twelve months (in a year), so it was ordained by Allaah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them, four are sacred. That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein…” [al-Tawbah 9:36]

Abu Bakrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The year is twelve months of which four are sacred, the three consecutive months of Dhu’l-Qa’dah, Dhu’l-Hijjah and Muharram, and Rajab Mudar which comes between Jumaada and Sha’baan.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2958).

Muharram is so called because it is a sacred (muharam) month and to confirm its sanctity.

Allaah’s words (interpretation of the meaning): “so wrong not yourselves therein…” mean do not wrong yourselves in these sacred months, because sin in these months is worse than in other months.

It was reported that Ibn ‘Abbaas said that this phrase (so wrong not yourselves therein…) referred to all the months, then these four were singled out and made sacred, so that sin in these months is more serious and good deeds bring a greater reward.

Qutaadah said concerning this phrase (so wrong not yourselves therein…) that wrongdoing during the sacred months is more serious and more sinful that wrongdoing at any other time. Wrongdoing at any time is a serious matter, but Allaah gives more weight to whichever of His commands He will. Allaah has chosen certain ones of His creation. He has chosen from among the angels Messengers and from among mankind Messengers. He chose from among speech the remembrance of Him (dhikr). He chose from among the earth the mosques, from among the months Ramadaan and the sacred months, from among the days Friday and from among the nights Laylat al-Qadr, so venerate that which Allaah has told us to venerate. People of understanding and wisdom venerate the things that Allaah has told us to venerate. (Summarized from the Tafseer of Ibn Katheer, may Allaah have mercy on him. Tafseer of Surat al-Tawbah, aayah 36).

The Virtue of observing more nafil Fasts during Muharram

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The best of fasting after Ramadaan is fasting Allaah’s month of Muharram.’” (reported by Muslim, 1982).

The phrase “Allaah’s month”, connecting the name of the month to the name of Allaah in a genitive grammatical structure, signifies the importance of the month. Al-Qaari said: “The apparent meaning is all of the month of Muharram.” But it was proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never fasted any whole month apart from Ramadan, so this hadeeth is probably meant to encourage increasing one’s fasting during Muharram, without meaning that one should fast for the entire month.

It was reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast more in Sha’baan. It is likely that the virtue of Muharram was not revealed to him until the end of his life, before he was able to fast during this month. (Sharh al-Nawawi ‘ala Saheeh Muslim).

Allaah chooses whatever times and places He wills Al-‘Izz ibn ‘Abd al-Salaam (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “Times and places may be given preferred status in two ways, either temporal or religious/spiritual. With regard to the latter, this is because Allah bestows His generosity on His slaves at those times or in those places, by giving a greater reward for deeds done, such as giving a greater reward for fasting in Ramadaan than for fasting at all other times, and also on the day of ‘Aashooraa’, the virtue of which is due to Allaah’s generosity and kindness towards His slaves on that day…” (Qawaa’id al-Ahkaam, 1/38).

History of Ashura day of Moharram

Ashura or Aashooraa is significant as the day that Allah (God) saved Moses (peace be upon him) and the Israelites by parting the Red Sea and drowning Pharaoh. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)* migrated to Medina, the Jews told him that Moses (peace be upon him) fasted in gratitude on Ashura, and Jewish practice was to fast Ashura as well.

Upon learning this, the Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, “We have more right to Moses than you,” and he commanded Muslims to fast Ashura. Later, when fasting the entire month of Ramadan became obligatory, the Ashura fast was declared optional, and Muslims were instructed to differentiate their fast from the Jews by fasting the 9th or 11th of Muharram along with the 10th of Muharam (Ashura Day).

Celebration of Eid ul Azha

Muslims Religious ceremony which is called " Eid al-Adha" celebrated all around the world, Eid al-Adha is an annual religious celebration on every 10th day of the last islamic month that is month of Zul-Hijjah. This Festival of Sacrifice started from Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) to sacrifice his son Prophet Ishmael (pbuh) as an act of obedience to Allah, Muslim practise it as practised by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh).

According to Holy Quran:"O my Lord! Grant me (Abraham) a righteous (son)!? So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. ?Then, when the the son reached the age to work with him, he said: ?O my son I see in a vision that I offer you in sacrifice: Now say what is your view!? (The son) said: ?O My father! Do as you are commanded: You will find me if God so wills, one practising patience and constancy!? So when they had both submitted their wills (to God), and he had made him prostrate on his face (for sacrifice), We called out to him: ?O Abraham! You have already fulfilled the vision!? Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. ?For this was obviously a trial and We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: and We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times": (37:100-109).

Qurbani is Fardh

Qurbani, like Zakat, is essential for one who has the financial means and savings that remain surplus to his own needs over the year. It is essential for one's own self. However, a slaughter of animal can also be offered for each member of one?s family. It may be offered, though it is not essential, for one?s deceased relations, too, in the hope of benediction and blessings for the departed souls.

What to Sacrifice

All the permissible (halal) domesticated or reared quadrupeds can be offered for Qurbani. Generally, slaughter of goats, sheep, rams, cows, and camels is offered. It is permissible for seven persons to share the sacrifice of a cow or a camel on the condition that no one?s share is less than one seventh and their intention is to offer Qurbani. Age of Sacrificial Animals Sacrifice of goat or sheep less than one year old (unless the sheep is so strong and fat that it looks to be a full one year old) is not in order. Cow should be at least two years old. Camels should not be less than five years old.

Disqualifying defects

Sacrifice of an animal will not be in order if it is one eyed, or blind, or has lost one third or more of its eyesight, or one third or more of its tail, or its ear has been cut off, or it is lame, or its bones have no marrow, or it has no ears by birth or its horns have been broken from their roots, or it has no teeth at all. If the number of teeth intact exceeds the lost ones, it is permissible. If it has no horns by birth, or has less than one third broken horns, it is permissible.

Distribution of meat

One should eat the meat of the sacrifice, give it to relations and friends, (to non-Muslims also) and also to the poor in charity. One third should be given in charity, but if it be less it will not be a sin.

Injunctions on the use of skin

It is not permissible to give a portion of meat or the skin of the slaughtered animal as wages. They should instead be given to the needy in charity. Even the rope and cover of the sacrificed animal should be given away as charity.

Intention

It is commendable that one who intends to offer a sacrifice should refrain from having a hair cut, a shave, and pruning of nails, from the 1st of Zil-Hijjah (upto the time he has performed the sacrifice).

Intention In the first instance, one who proposes to offer sacrifice must make an intention to that effect.

Method of Sacrifice

The animal for slaughter should be laid on its left side facing Kaabah and its throat cut open with a sharp knife, and its blood allowed to drain. In the case of a camel, it should be allowed to remain standing after its left fore leg has been stringed. A sharp spear should then be thrust in its breast and on both sides of its neck, and the blood allowed to drain.

Islam tells me I’m a swan. I’m different—it’s meant to be that way. And my body, my soul, were created for something more.
God says in the Qur’an: [O mankind, We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another (not that you may despise each other). Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of God is the one who is most righteous] (Al-Hujurat 49:13).
So I am honored. But it is not by my relationship to men. My value as a woman is not measured by the size of my waist or the number of men who like me. My worth as a human being is measured on a higher scale: a scale of righteousness and piety. And my purpose in life—despite what the fashion magazines say—is something more sublime than just looking good for men.
And so God tells me to cover myself, to hide my beauty, and to tell the world that I’m not here to please men with my body; I’m here to please God. God elevates the dignity of a woman’s body by commanding that it be respected and covered, shown only to the deserving—only to the man I marry.
So to those who wish to “liberate” me, I have only one thing to say:
Thanks, but no thanks.
I’m not here to be on display. And my body is not for public consumption. I will not be reduced to an object or a pair of legs to sell shoes. I’m a soul, a mind, a servant of God. My worth is defined by the beauty of my soul, my heart, my moral character. So I won’t worship your beauty standards, and I don’t submit to your fashion sense. My submission is to something higher.
With my veil I put my faith on display—rather than my beauty. My value as a human is defined by my relationship with God, not by my looks. So I cover the irrelevant. And when you look at me, you don’t see a body. You view me only for what I am: a servant of my Creator.
So you see, as a Muslim woman, I’ve been liberated from a silent kind of bondage. I don’t answer to the slaves of God on earth. I answer to their King.

Hadith of Holy Prophet about Holy Month of Ramadan

1 - Narrated `Abdullâh bin `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): Allâh's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, The month can be 29 nights (i.e. days), and do not observe Saum (fast) till you see the crescent, and if the sky is overcast, then complete the month of Sha`bân as 30 days. (Bukhari)

2 - Narrated Abû Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) : Allâh's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, Saum (fasting) is a shield (or a screen or a shelter from the Hellfire). So, the person observing Saum (fast) should avoid sexual relations with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights with him or abuses him, he should say to him twice, `I am observing Saum (fast) .' The Prophet (may peace be upon him) added, By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a person observing Saum (fast) is better with Allâh than the smell of musk. (Allâh says about the fasting person), `He has left his food, drink and desires for My sake. The Saum (fast) is for Me, So I will reward the fasting person for it …… (Al Bukhari)

3 - Abu Hurairah, (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: When there comes the month of Ramadan, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the gates of Hell are locked and the devils are chained. (Muslim)

4 - Narrated Abû Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (may peace be upon him) said, Whoever does not give up telling lies (false statements) and acting on those lies, and evil actions etc., Allâh is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allâh will not accept his Saum (fasting)). 5 - Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Any servant of Allah who observes one day of Fast for Allah's sake, Allah would remove his face away from the Fire of Hell a distance equivalent to seventy years. (Muslim)

6 Ibn 'Abbas(may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) was the most generous of people in charity, but he was even more generous in the month of Ramadan. Angel Gabriel (peace be upon him) used to meet him every year during the month of Ramadan until it ended, so that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) could recite the Qur'an to him; and when met Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) he was more generous in giving charity than the blowing wind. 7 – Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said, Whoever prayed at night the whole month of Ramadhan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven. (Bukhari)

8 - Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d (may Allah be pleased with him): Allâh's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said, The people (Muslim Ummah) will remain on the right path as long as they hasten to break their fast. (Break the fast on time, without delay) (Al Bukhari)

9 - Narrated Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (may peace be upon him) said, There is a gate in Paradise called ArRaiyân, and those who observe Saum (fasts) will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, `Where are those who used to observe Saum (fasts)?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it. (Al Bukhari)

10 - Narrated Abû Sa`id (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Night of Qadr, he said: We practised I`tikâf (seclusion in the mosque) in the middle third of the month of Ramadân with the Prophet (may peace be upon him). In the morning of the 20th of Ramadan, the Prophet (may peace be upon him) came and addressed us and said, I was informed of the date of the Night of Qadr but I was caused to forget it; so search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadân ……. Love for prophet or Isq-e-Rasool is when we follow what is according to the teaching of islam, Innovations to the Deen Islam is something done by the name of islam, Innovators cover there Innovations calling it Isq-e-Rasool or Love for prophet.
At the time of Syedna Abu Bakr Siddique-e-Akbar Radhiyallahu Anhu, After he held the Khilafah, there arose serious problems.Issue of liars came infront who claimed to be prophets of Allah,Some people denied to pay Zakaat. Siddiqu-e-Akbar (R.A) performed Jihad against them with a hard hand, though the internal situation of the state was not stable, companions advised him to postpone this action for a later time but he never compromised.

But later on when a number of Huffaz-e-Quran (learners of Quran) martyred in a battle, he was suggested to have the Quran-e-Kareem compiled in written (book) form (which was by then saved with companions in hearts, pieces of paper, bark of trees etc. the purpose of this being that Quran would be saved for coming generations who will not have contact with Rasoolullah s.a.w.

Siddique-e-Akbar (R.A) was though hesitant, holding the position that "How can I perform this act which my lord, Rasoolullah s.a.w did not do."

But emphasized the need of this by great companions, specially Syedna Umar Farooq-e-Azam (R.A), Khaleefa-e-Awwal at last ordered to compile Quran-e-Hakeem in written form (of a Book).

The Way of Muslims

This belief is very common that before the end of the world, there will be 72 or 73 sects amongst Muslims, of them only one will be righteous, and the rigteous will follow the Prophet (sallal lahu alayhe wasallam) and his companions only.

Thus we have three pathways for our guidance
Quran
Sunnah (Hadith)
Ijmaa (consensus; acts of companions and agreement of Muslim scholars on an issue or question)

We go for Ijmaa (consensus) when a new question arises which has not been mentioned in Quran, Sunnah and the Actions of Ashaab-e-Rasool s.a.w.

For example:

1. Which direction to follow while praying Salaah (namaz) when on journey in a moving train or aeroplane etc.

2. Using loud speakers for Dawah (preeching).

3. Using moving pictures etc.

Bid’ah (Bid’at; inventing something new for Islam)

Bid’ah means adopting something new supposing it the part of Islam. This has been forbidden and highly condemned by Rasoolullah s.a.w.
What is Ijmaa

Ijmaa is required when with time passing Muslims face a new situation about what they want to follow Islam, as using soaps manufactured by Multinational Non-Muslim Companies (some examples given above).

What is Bid’ah
Bid’ah is practicing something New in the name of Islam, which is never a need. As Islam has been completed in the times of Rasoolullah, there are no place of practices which are not performed by Rasoolullah (s.a.w) and his companions.

Our Responsibility

Ulamaa-e-Soo (fake religious scholars) have always been amongst us whose only job is to make their living by inventing new practices in Islam becoming the Father of a Tradition.
This is obligatory of us that:

We should never follow any religious scholar blindly,
We should compare by ourselves what he verdicts, with Quran and Sunnah
We should study Quran and Sunnah ourselves,
We must only and only to follow the Prophet (s.a.w) and his companions.

The Way of Inventing Bid’ah

Enemies of Islam change the meaning or interpretation of Quran and Sunnah to favour their Bid’ah. Or they make use of invented stories or traditions.
Questions about Bid’ah

Just ask them if the new practice has been performed by the Prophet s.a.w and his companions?
What is the need of practicing this new action?
If to please Allah, then we can’t please Him by going a way different from that of Prophet of Islam (s.a.w)... Continued

Ishq-e-Rasool s.a.w (Love of the Prophet)

Ishq (love) means to do what the Beloved requires you to.

If your Beloved asks you to perform Salaah, keep fasting etc the demand and obligation of ishq (love) is to do the same.

If the Prophet asks you to follow Quran, his Sunnah and his Companions, then this is never love but a simple deceit to follow your own wishes by following so-called religious scholars (ULAMAA-E-SOO).
If the Prophet asks women not to talk loudly so as non-mehrams couldn’t hear you, women have no right to recite Naats on loud speakers to attract men, and even not respecting the times of Azaan and Namaz.
And you have never the right to annoy and torment the Muslim residents of surroundings when you use loud speakers of mosques etc. for Mahaafil-e-Naats for the night long, without thinking of the sick, the distressed and Normal People.
If the Prophet has not asked you to celebrate his birthday (like christians), you are never allowed to do that, and if you do it you are only pretending to love.

Plots and Intrigues of Enemies of Islam

Islam is not a bed of roses. Rasoolullah s.a.w and his companions suffered great troubles, torments and agonies in the way of spreading Islam. Even when in the age of Khiafat-e-Rashidah, Muslims were not lying on couches.

Generally Islam is the name of hard work and labour. Namaz, Roza, Zakaat, Hajj, Jihad…

This life is full of troubles, the real peace and comfort we will have in Jannah, insha Allah.

Celebrating birth day of Rasoolullah (copying Christian’s Christmas), cooking Puddings (sweet dishes) of Shub Baraat, making Haleems of Muharram, Gyarhween Shareef, Urs of saints, Koonda so and so, all are the inventions by our Enemies (jews and Munafiqeens) to lead us away from Islam.

And unfortunately they are successful in their efforts, which is reported by our meaninglessness, overall defeat, and humiliation in this world.

Signs of Qayamat - Judgement day - Doomsday

These are some signs of qayamat (judgment day), according to the hadees of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) about 1400 years a ago, these signs demand us to live with the fear of ALLAH, and ask for his forgiveness in this world and after. Camels will no longer be used as a means of transport;

The disappearance of knowledge(زوال العلم) and the appearance of ignorance, (ظهور الجهل)with much killing;

The number of men will decrease and the number of women will increase until there are 50 women to be looked after by one man.

Islam will become worn out (بالية و رثة)like clothes are, until no one will know what fasting, prayer, charity and rituals (شعائر)are;

Allah will send a disease to fornicators (الزانى)that will have no cure (Aids?);

People will begin to believe in the stars and reject AL QADAR (THE DIVINE DECREE OF DESTINYالقضاء و القدر);

Men will pass by people's graves and say: 'Would that I was in his place'; (large amount of suicidal deaths وفيات انتحارية?)

The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold for which people will fight over (the river of Alfurat that lies near Syria );

Two large groups of people will fight one another, and there will be many casualties; they will both be following the same religion (World War III?);

Approximately 30 DAJJALS دجّالون will appear, each one claiming to be the messenger of ALLAH;

Earthquakes زلازل will increase;

Time will pass quickly;

Afflictions أمراض و بلاويwill appear;

Killing will increase;

Wealth will increase;

Women will be wearing clothes but not wearing clothes التعري كما نراه

THE PROPHET (s.a.w.) SAID: 'IF MY UMMAH BEARS 15! TRAITS سمات/صفات (QUALITIES), TRIBULATION محنة WILL FOLLOW IT.' (DAY OF JUDGMENT) SOMEONE ASKED,'WHAT IS THEY O MESSENGER OF ALLAH?' HE (s.a.w) SAID:

When any gain is shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor;

When a trust (أمانة)becomes a means of making profit ;

When paying ZAKKAT becomes a burden;

When voices (رفع أصوات كما نشاهده الآن)are raised in the mosque;

When the leader of a people is the worst of them;

When people treat a man with respect because what he may do;

When much wine is drunk; red wind or the earth swallow them, or to be transformed into animals.'

'IMRAN IBN HUSAYN SAID: 'THE PROPHET (AS) SAID, 'SOME PEOPLE OF THIS UMMAH WILL BE SWALLOWED BY THE EARTH, TRANSFORMED INTO ANIMALS, AND SOME WILL BE BOMBARDED WITH STONES'. Walk into the toy store, and you’ll find “baby” dolls dressed in clothing reminiscent of prostitutes’ outfits. Walk into the clothing store, and prepubescent girls are already being introduced to tank tops, mini skirts, and items of clothing that were once reserved for mature women.

But hey, this is nothing new. It’s been around for a while… and I think that many of us - including myself! - have become somewhat desensitized to this. There are times that we’ll remember how bad it is, but what usually happens is that we cluck over it for a bit and then get distracted by the many other problems we’re facing.

Now, however, I’d like to take the time to address this issue from a couple different angles - both a psychosocial and religious point of view.

In Wendy Shalit’s book “Girls Gone Mild,” she discusses the culture of hypersexualization: how it’s being promoted, through both media and consumerism, how it’s permeated society, and how it has so dangerously affected our lives and mentalities. This article (hat-tip to Nasim Choudhury) makes similar points - the psychosocial ramifications of hypersexualized culture are already evident and recognized even by non-Muslims.

Awareness of sexuality is occurring at a much earlier age today, and almost always with a confused or warped understanding of it. Girls and boys are both growing up insensitively exposed to sights and concepts about the human body that were once discovered at a much slower rate that accommodated their level of mental and emotional maturity.

It doesn’t exist only amongst non-Muslims. Even Muslims are infected with the disease of hypersexualization, and its effects are far-reaching. Girls who wear hijaab still obsess over their weight and their image and try to look older than they are… without the maturity or understanding of what ‘older’ really means.

In addition to general psychological and social effects of hypersexualization, as Muslims there is another dimension that makes the issue even more important for us to be aware of.

The concept of hayaa’ - of modesty and shyness - is one that we Muslims should all be aware of, and prize highly, and do our best to cultivate within ourselves. There are many different kinds of hayaa’, but in this context we’ll deal specifically with modesty relating to our bodies.

In Islam, we have something which we call the ‘awra: the part of our bodies that we try to keep covered as much as possible. In general, although of course it differs with women in respect to the hijaab and so on, the ‘awra can be described as what is between the navel and the knees.

Sheikh Hisham al-Awadhi mentions in his series about Children Around the Messenger that sex education and awareness is supposed to begin at an early age for Muslim children - starting with the understanding that there are certain times and places that they cannot enter without permission. Hopefully this is something that Muslim parents are implementing with their children… but then there’s another kind of sex education that must be addressed. That is, teaching our children how to have respect and modesty regarding their own body, and others.’

It’s not enough to just give kids “the birds and the bees” talk and to make girls start wearing hijaab - indeed, I find that there are far too many girls out there who wear hijaab without even fully understanding the many wisdoms behind it, including that of respect, modesty, and self-esteem. Rather, we have to cultivate within them an understanding that whatever they see outside, whatever they hear from others about their bodies and self-image, there is something far more important to keep in mind: to have taqwa not just in matters of “dos” and “don’ts” but also about our attitude towards our bodies.

Respect your body and have self-confidence. Know that first of all, we don’t cover our bodies because we’re ashamed of it - rather, we’re proud of it and respect it. Allah created us in the best of ways, with body parts that both look good (well… mostly!) and perform neccessary functions. However, just ‘cuz we look good doesn’t mean that we should be showing it off to the whole world! (BTW, this goes for men also - please, no Speedos! Those don’t even look good.)

I think it’s of especial importance to get this message across to young girls: hijaabi or not, most girls have issues with their self-esteem and self-image, especially in this society where so much emphasis is placed on making oneself physically attractive. In addition to making them realize that it’s what’s on the inside that counts, we can’t forget that it’s human nature to want to be beautiful - in the same series, Hesham al-Awadhi reminds parents to make their daughters feel good by complimenting her on her beauty inside the house. Notice when she’s wearing a new outfit, tell her how the colour looks great with her eyes, how lovely she is, etc. In this way, by knowing that others - who are allowed to see her beauty(i.e. her mahaarim) - think she’s beautiful, there’ll be less of a need for her to desire others’ approval of her attractiveness.

Respect others’ bodies. Whether it’s a kaafir or a Muslim, a man or a woman, covered or naked… have respect and shyness for their bodies. Don’t look at what’s not permissable to look at; don’t behave in a manner that’s contrary to the entire concept of hayaa’. Lower your gaze and have good manners. Far too often have I seen hijaabi girls giggling over a model, actor, or even a brother at a community function; similarly, stories about men ogling hijaabis or drooling over non-Muslim women disgust me because that’s NOT how a Muslim is supposed to act at any time, towards anyone.

Just as girls need a bit of help with the first point, I think parents need to spend more time teaching boys about the second. Part of chivalry is to have respect for women and treat them decently no matter how they’re dressed - to truly lower the gaze and behave as the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) did towards women. It needs to start when they’re young, and reinforced as preteens and young teens, so that it will stick with them as adult men who have to deal with women in many different kinds of situations. An example of this are my brothers - although they’re only 12 and 13, they feel shy whenever they pass by a woman (or a picture of a woman) who is indecently dressed. They’ll make a point of averting their gaze, but still treat whoever it is with respect by speaking politely. Sadly, there aren’t many kids like that these days - may Allah them and keep them strong upon Islam, ameen!

Another problem that I know many parents struggle with is trying to teach their kids that the pictures of half-naked men and women on advertisements, billboards, TV, etc. are not acceptable Islamically. I believe that this issue is related to the point above: having respect for other people’s bodies. A somewhat uncomfortable question that younger kids might bring up (usually at most inopportune moments!) is something along the lines of, “Mama, why is that lady not wearing any clothes?” or “Baba, why is that man in his underwear?”

This is when, instead of cringing or hissing at them to be quiet or ignoring them, you explain to them about how there are many people who don’t protect their bodies the way we do. Insha’Allah, if you handle it the right way – open, matter-of-factly, but pressing the concept of hayaa’ – your children will grow up knowing that while the human body isn’t something to be ashamed of, it IS something to be cared for, protected, and respected.

Innocence is an endangered species. Instead of ignoring the repercussions of the situation, complaining about it, and not doing anything about it, we have to be proactive in dealing with it. Recognize how it affects our children, and take the necessary measures to address it in an Islamic and psychologically healthy manner.

Note: The practice of the Prophet, peace be upon him, who was the most merciful of men, was that he always forgave those who did a wrong to him, but never failed to punish, according to the Divine Law, men who violated the limits laid down by God. It is related in Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of 'A'ishah that the Prophet, peace be upon him, never punished anyone in a personal matter, but when a person transgressed against a God-given law, he used to punish him/her by reason of the command of God.

13] It is related by 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that "(Once) person came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, and said, 'O Prophet, how many times should I forgive the fault of my attendant (slave or servant)?' 'The Prophet kept quiet. The questioner, then, asked again, 'How many times should I forgive the fault of my attendant (slave or servant)?' 'Seventy times each day,' replied the Prophet."

Note: What the Prophet, peace be upon him, wanted to stress was that forgiveness was not a thing on which limit could be set. On the other hand, kindliness demanded that a servant should be forgiven even if he was frequently at fault. The figure of seventy on such occasions does not denote the exact number, but profusion.

14] It is related by Hudaifah that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Do not be of those who do (by others) as the others do (by them), and say that we will do them a favour if they do us a favour, and if they will be mean and unjust to us then we, too, will be mean and unjust to them. On the contrary, resolve that you will do good if others do good, and if they do a wrong and act unjustly, even then you will not be unfair to them."

15] Abu Dhar Ghifari related to us that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, "Let no one of you consider any form or manner of doing good of little value. So, if he has nothing to give to a brother, he should, at least, meet him with a smile on his face. (This, too, is a form of kindness). And when you buy or cook meat, increase the broth, (by putting more water into it), and take out a spoonful from it for your neighbour."

Craving for Wealth and its Types

The First Type of Craving for Wealth
The first type of craving for wealth is that a person has extreme love for wealth and also relentlessly exerts efforts to attain it – via means which are lawful – being excessive in that, striving hard and making painstaking efforts and toiling in order to attain it.
It has been reported that this hadeeth was in response to the appearance of some elements of this, as at-Tabaraanee reports from `Aasim ibn `Adiyy, radiyAllaahu `anhu who said, ‘I bought a hundred shares from the shares of Khaybar and that reached the Prophet (SalAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) so he said, “Two ravenous wolves remaining amongst sheep whose owner has lost them will not be more harmful than a Muslim’s seeking after wealth and status to his Deen.
There is nothing more to chasing after wealth than the wastage of a person’s noble life for that which has no value. Instead he could have earned a high rank (in Paradise) and everlasting bliss, but he lost this due to his craving after provision – which had already been assured to him and allotted to him, and it was not possible for anything to come to him except what was decreed for him – then on top of this he does not benefit from that, but rather abandons it and leaves it for someone else.
He departs from that and leaves it behind so that he will be the one held accountable for it, yet someone else benefits from it. So in reality he is only gathering it, yet someone else benefits from it. So in reality he is only gathering it for someone who will not praise him for that, whilst he himself goes on to One who will not excuse him for that – this itself would indeed be enough to show the blameworthiness of this craving.
The person who has this craving wastes his valuable time and engages himself in that which is no benefit to himself – in journeying and exposing himself to dangers in order to amass that which will only benefit someone else, so it is as is said:
“So one who spends his days in gathering wealth – Out of fear of poverty – then he has achieved only poverty.”
It was said to a wise man, “So and so has amassed wealth,” so he said, “Then has he amassed days in which to spend it?” It was said, “No” So he said, “Then he has amassed nothing!
It was also said in some narrations from the People of the Book, “Provision has already been allotted and the one greedy for wealth is deprived. Son of Aadam! If you spend your life in seeking after this world then when will you seek after the Hereafter?” “If you are unable to do good deeds in this world, then what will you do on the Day of Resurrection?” Ibn Mas’ood radiyallaahu `anhumaa, said, “Certain faith (yaqeen) is that you do not make the people happy by angering Allaah, and that you do not envy anyone for that which Allaah has provided, and that you do not blame anyone for something which Allaah has not given you – since provision will not be brought on by a persons craving after it, nor will it be repelled by a persons disliking it. Indeed Allaah through His Justice has made joy and happiness dependant upon having certain faith and contentment, and He has made worries and sorrow spring from doubt and displeasure.” One of the Salaf (predecessors) said: “Since pre-decree (qadr) is a reality then craving is futile. Since treachery exists in people’s characters then trusting everybody is to expose oneself to humiliation. Since death awaits everybody, then being satisfied with this world is foolishness.”
Abdul-Waahid ibn Zayd2 used to swear by Allaah that a person’s craving after this world was more fearful to him than his worst enemy. He also used to say, “O my brothers! Do not grow up craving after his riches and increase in earnings or wealth, rather look upon him with the eye of one of who detests that he is preoccupying himself with that which will cause his ruin tomorrow in the Place of Return – and is proud with that.” He also used to say, “Craving is of two types: Craving which is an affliction and craving which is beneficial. As for the craving which is beneficial, then it is one’s desire for that which is obedience to Allaah, and as for the craving which is an affliction – then it is a person’s craving after this world.”
Craving after this world torments a person, he is preoccupied and does not attain joy or pleasure whilst amassing – since he is preoccupied. He does not find time – due to his love of this world – for the Hereafter, and is preoccupied with that which will perish and forgets that which will abide and remain.
In this regard a person said, “Do not envy a brother who craves after riches –
rather look upon him with aversion.
Indeed the one who craves is preoccupied with his Wealth from having any happiness due to his belongings.
A wise person wrote to a brother of his who desired this world: “To proceed, you have become one who craves after this world. It will serve you whilst taking you away from it with accidents, illnesses, calamities and infirmity. It is as if you have not seen one who craves prevented from what he desires, nor one who shuns this world granted provision, nor one who died despite having great wealth, nor one who is fully satisfied in this world with a small amount.
A desert rebuked a brother of his for covetousness, saying, “O my brother you are a seeker and one sought. You are being sought by One whom you cannot escape, and you are seeking that for which you have been sufficed. O brother, it is as if you have not seen one who craves being prevented, nor one who shuns the world being granted provision.”
A wise man said, “The people who have the greatest degree of restlessness are the envious, those who have the greatest degree of happiness are the contented. Those who persevere most through suffering are those who are covetous. Those who have the simplest and most pleasant life are those who most strongly refuse this world. The one who will suffer the greatest regret is the scholar whose actions contradict his knowledge.”

The Second Type of Craving After Wealth

The second type of craving after wealth is that in addition to what has been mentioned in the first type, he also seeks wealth through unlawful means and withholds people’s rights – then this is definitely blameworthy greed and covetousness. Allaah, the Most
High, says: “And whoever is saved from his covetousness, such are those who are successful.” Soorah al-Hashr 59:9
It is reported in Sunan Abee Daawood from `Abdullah ibn `Amr, radiyallaahu `anhu, from the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) that he said, “Beware of greed (avarice) for indeed greed (avarice) destroyed those who came before you. It ordered them to cut off ties of relationship so they cut off ties of relationship, and it ordered them to be miserly so they were miserly, and it ordered them to commit sins so they committed sins.”
It is reported in Saheeh Muslim from Jaabir, radiyallaahu `anhu, that the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Beware of greed (avarice), since greed (avarice) destroyed those who came before you. It led them to shed their blood and make lawful what was forbidden for them.”
Some of the scholars say, “Avarice is eager craving which causes a person to take things which are not lawful for him, and to withhold the rights of others. Its reality is that a person craves that which Allaah has forbidden and prohibited him from, and that one is not contented with the wealth and womenfolk and whatever else Allaah has made lawful for him. So Allaah, the Most High, has made lawful for us that which is good from foods, drinks, clothing and women and has forbidden us to acquire these things except by lawful means and He made lawful for us the blood and wealth of the Unbelievers and those fighting against us. He also forbade us from everything impure from foods, drinks, clothing and women, and He forbade us from seizing people’s wealth and spilling their blood unjustly. So he who limits himself to that which is permitted for him is a Believer, and one who goes beyond that into what he has been forbidden – then this is a blameworthy avarice which is inconsistent with Eemaan (true faith in belief, word and action).
Therefore the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) informed that avarice causes a person to cut off relations, commit sins and to be miserly – and miserliness is a person’s clinging on greedily to what he has in his hand. Whereas avarice is seeking to obtain that which does not belong to him unjustly and wrongfully – whether it is wealth or something else. It is even said that it is the head of all sins – this was how Ibn Mas`ood, radiyallaahu `anhu, and others from the Salaf explained avarice and greed.
So from this the meaning of the hadeeth of Aboo Hurairah, radiyAllaahu `anhu, will be understood. He reports that the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “Avarice (shuhh) and Emaan will not combine in the heart of a Believer”8 Also in another hadeeth from the Prophet (salAllahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) he said, “The best of Emaan is self-restraint (sabr) and compliance /liberality (musaamahah),”5 Sabr here has been explained to be withholding oneself from forbidden things, and musaamahah as the carrying out of the obligatory actions.
Also the word shuhh (avarice) may sometimes be used to mean bukhl (miserliness) and vice-versa, however in origin they are different in meaning as we have mentioned.
If the person’s craving after wealth reaches this level then the deficiency it causes in a person’s Religion is clear – since failing to fulfill what is obligatory and falling into what is forbidden reduce one’s Religion and Eemaan without a doubt to the point that nothing but a little remains of it.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH) IN BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES

1. Almost all Buddhist books contain this prophecy. It is in Chakkavatti Sinhnad Suttanta D. III, 76:

"There will arise in the world a Buddha named Maitreya (the benevolent one) a holy one, a supreme one, an enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe:

"What he has realized by his own supernatural knowledge he will publish to this universe. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at its climax, glorious at the goal, in the spirit and the letter. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and thoroughly pure; even as I now preach my religion and a like life do proclaim. He will keep up the society of monks numbering many thousands, even as now I keep up a society of monks numbering many hundreds".

2. According to Sacred Books of the East volume 35 pg. 225:

"It is said that I am not an only Buddha upon whom the leadership and order is dependent. After me another Buddha maitreya of such and such virtues will come. I am now the leader of hundreds, he will be the leader of thousands."

3. According to the Gospel of Buddha by Carus pg. 217 and 218 (From Ceylon sources):

"Ananda said to the Blessed One, 'Who shall teach us when thou art gone?'

And the Blessed one replied, 'I am not the first Buddha who came upon the earth nor shall I be the last. In due time another Buddha will arise in the world, a holy one, a supremely enlightened one, endowed with wisdom in conduct, auspicious, knowing the universe, an incomparable leader of men, a master of angels and mortals. He will reveal to you the same eternal truths, which I have taught you. He will preach his religion, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax and glorious at the goal. He will proclaim a religious life, wholly perfect and pure such as I now proclaim. His disciples will number many thousands while mine number many hundreds.'

Ananda said, 'How shall we know him?'

The Blessed one replied, 'He will be known as Maitreya'."

i.The Sanskrit word 'Maitreya' or its equivalent in Pali 'Metteyya' means loving, compassionate, merciful and benevolent. It also means kindness and friendliness, sympathy, etc. One Arabic word which is equivalent to all these words is 'Rahmat'. In Surah Al-Anbiya:"We sent thee not, but as a mercy for all creatures."
[Al-Qur'an 21:107]

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was called the merciful, which is 'Maitri'.

ii. The words Mercy and Merciful are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an no less than 409 times.

iii. Every chapter of the Glorious Qur'an, except Chapter 9, i.e. Surah Taubah begins with the beautiful formula, 'Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Rahim', which means 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful'.
iv. The Word Muhammad is also spelt as 'Mahamet' or 'Mahomet' and in various other ways in different languages. The word 'Maho' or 'Maha' in Pali and Sanskrit mean Great and Illustrious and 'Metta' means mercy. Therefore 'Mahomet' means 'Great Mercy'.

Buddha's doctrine was Esoteric and Exoteric

According to Sacred Books of the East, volume 11, pg. 36 Maha-Parinibbana Sutta chapter 2 verse 32:

"I have preached the truth without making any distinction between exoteric and esoteric doctrine, for in respect of truths, Ananda, the Tathagata has no such thing as the closed fist of a teacher, who keeps something back".

Muhammad (pbuh) on the commandment of Almighty God delivered the message and doctrine without making any distinction between esoteric and exoteric. The Qur'an was recited in public in the days of the Prophet and is being done so till date. The Prophet had strictly forbidden the Muslims from hiding the doctrine

Devoted Servitors of the Buddhas

According to Sacred Books of the East volume 11 pg. 97 Maha-Parinibbana Sutta Chapter 5 verse 36:

"Then the Blessed one addressed the brethren, and said, 'Whosoever, brethren have been Arahat-Buddhas through the long ages of the past, they were servitors just as devoted to those Blessed ones as Ananda has been to me. And whosoever brethren shall be the Arahat-Buddhas of the future, there shall be servitors as devoted to those Blessed ones as Ananda has been to me'."

The Servitor of Buddha was Ananda. Muhammad (pbuh) also had a servitor by the name Anas (r.a.) who was the son of Malik. Anas (r.a...) was presented to the Prophet by his parents. Anas (r.a...) relates: "My mother said to him, 'Oh Messenger of God, here is your little servant'." Further Anas relates, "I served him from the time I was 8 years old and the Prophet called me his son and his little beloved". Anas (r.a...) stayed by the Prophet in peace and in war, in safety as well as in danger till the end of his life.

1. Anas (r.a.), even though he was only 11 years old stayed beside the Prophet during the battle of Uhud where the Prophet's life was in great danger.

2. Even during the battle of Honain when the Prophet was surrounded by the enemies who were archers, Anas (r.a...) who was only 16 years old stood by the Prophet.

Anas (R) can surely be compared with Ananda who stood by Gautam Buddha when the mad elephant approached him.

Six Criteria for Identifying Buddha

According to the Gospel of Buddha by Carus pg. 214:

"The Blessed one said, 'There are two occasions on which a Tathagata's appearance becomes clear and exceedingly bright. In the night Ananda, in which a Tathagata attains to the supreme and perfect insight, and in the night in which he passes finally away in that ultra passing which leaves nothing whatever of his earthly existence to remain.' "

According to Gautam Buddha, following are the six criteria for identifying a Buddha.

1.A Buddha attains supreme and perfect insight at night-time.
2.On the occasion of his complete enlightenment he looks exceedingly bright
3.A Buddha dies a natural death.
4.He dies at night-time.
5.He looks exceedingly bright before his death.
6.After his death a Buddha ceases to exist on earth.

1.Muhammad (pbuh) attained supreme insight and Prophethood at night-time.
According to Surah Dukhan: "By the books that makes thing clear – We sent it down during a blessed night." [Al-Qur'an 44:2-3]
According to Surah Al-Qadar: "We have indeed revealed this (message) in the night of power." [Al-Qur'an 97:1]
2.Muhammad (pbuh) instantly felt his understanding illumined with celestial light.
3.Muhammad (pbuh) died a natural death.
4.According to Ayesha (r.a.), Muhammad (pbuh) expired at night-time. When he was dying there was no oil in the lamp and his wife Ayesha (r.a.) had to borrow oil for the lamp.
5.According to Anas (r.a.), Muhammad (pbuh) looked exceedingly bright in the night of his death.
6.After the burial of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) he was never seen again in his bodily form on this earth.

Buddhas are only Preachers
According to Dhammapada, Sacred Books of East vol 10 pg. 67: "The Jathagatas (Buddhas) are only Preachers."

The Qur'an says in Surah Ghashiya: "Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs."
[Al-Qur'an 88:21-22]

Identification of Maitreya by Buddha

According to Dhammapada, Mattaya Sutta, 151: "The promised one will be:

1. Compassionate for the whole creation
2. A messenger of peace, a peace-maker
3. The most successful in the world
The Maitreya as a Preacher of morals will be:
1. Truthful
2. Self-respecting
3. Gentle and noble
4. Not proud
5. As a king to creatures
6. An example to others in deeds and in words".
