We celebrated 4 birthdays in our studio last week! (See more birthday celebrations here and here) Oh what fun it is to see children dig into real cupcakes. Especially for the first time with lots of zeal and excitement.

9 month milestone baby session

At just 9 months old, this little guy is super active and cruising around already! Pushing and pulling small furniture, boxes and anything else that is movable. Loves trucks and balls. Bubbles? Not so much. Still, what a cutie! He was a cuddler too, I was lucky enough to get a few hugs. Very adored by his mom and daddy and extended family. Thanks for visiting and hope to see you for your 1st birthday!

I couldn’t help but post a photo of him in this awesome outfit his mom picked out. Beigecorduroy just like his daddy wears, hip fox shirt and an adorable hat.

Happy 1st birthday, Charlie! You’re such a sweetheart and give the biggest smiles! You already have lots of teeth as seen in your smiles but still teething according to your mom. Which means everything – I mean everything – goes in your mouth immediately. You are very adored by your parents and your big sister. Hope to see you in the summer with your family!

Angel Baby

This adorable baby angel graced out Madison studio last week. She’s only 3 months old and such a trooper already. Her mom told me she had a heart surgery in January but she was ready for her first modeling session! And she did great. Very curious, a little cautious, but 100% sweet!

See, she even had wings! What an angel.

Barely a week old, little Carter, made the best expressions. From a happy to bear to a sad bear, he was one cute bear cub! Photographing newborn babies is such a joy, it makes my heart sing that I got to meet so many little ones recently. Carter was an angel.

The biggest gift I get from doing what I do for living is getting to watch and document families growing and evolving. I love that I’ve become the family photographer for this family and was overjoyed to document Charlotte’s story from belly to baby.

Remember this cute puppy Leo and his parents? Well, he just became a big brother and they’re first time parents. Congratulations! Princess Charlotte is precious and was a dream to photograph. I can’t to photograph her in the future especially with her cousins and family.

Her mommy planned for her a long time and even booked us months ago for her newborn session. Baby “E” finally arrived and she was a perfect little model. It was so evident how much she’s loved by her parents and I’m sure her grandparents and extended family as well. Welcome to this world full of love, Baby E!

I felt very welcomed when I entered the very warm, sunny and beautifully decorated home of these about-to-become-parents. Soon I was greted by the 4 legged member of their family, Leo. Photographing the miracle of a new life beginning is amazing, love and anticipation is always in the air. I’m looking forward to photographing the baby when she or he arrives in February, they will be welcomed to a home full of love.

Thank you to all everyone who took advantage of Funky Monkey Extravaganza yesterday, I was glad to see so many of our clients come back. I’m happy to be seeing you all again soon. I’m also excited about meeting new families in 2012! Here’s to a great year and seeing you soon!
