It's Gonna be One Hot Summer with Glee's Matthew Morrison

Glee's coolest teacher -- Mr. Schue -- is megawatt-hot this summer. Despite rumors that the highly-successful Glee show will be ending soon, Matthew Morrison says he is "still in Glee mode right now,” disclosing this trivia to Ryan Seacrest on E! News.

Glee may end soon, but Matthew Morrison's musical talent can no longer be contained by the television box alone. As a matter of fact, Morrison will take a musical journey this summer, beginning in June in Minneapolis until July in Los Angeles, showcasing his delightful talent with music evoking a "'40s and '50s New York feel."

Morrison will be on 20 cities for this musical trip, and several A-listers are expected to join him in some of these gigs, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Elton John. These Hollywood biggies collaborated with Morrison and were featured in his solo album.

Gleeks are already in that delicious stage of anticipation, awaiting the arrival of the hottie Glee teacher in their cities. Presales start April 4.

American Idol Double Elimination for Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo

"I'm glad the last song I did on the show was dedicated to my brother," Thia Megia said after last Friday's double elimination wherein she and fellow American Idol contestant Naima Adedapo finally left the Idol stage for good. Thia refers to "Daniel" as her swan song in said show. The judges thought her rendition of the classic Elton John song was safe but which she said she poured her heart out on because she dedicated it to her older brother.

Naima Adedapo's reggae take on "I'm Still Standing" may have displeased the judges and the American Idol audiences, and her colorful persona and interesting dance moves were not enough to send her through to the next week. "Sometimes people just didn't know where to place me," Adedapo said when asked if her outrageous style was conflicting with American Idol audiences' preference to get to the best vocalists in the bunch.

The double elimination reduced fellow American Idol contestant Lauren Alaina to tears, perhaps because Adedapo has gotten close to the 16-year-old during the finals run. The teenager considers Adedapo a mother figure who has always encouraged her to be more confident of her talent and in herself. Losing Thia Megia became a personal double blow to Alaina, who enjoyed bonding with someone her own age in classes and rehearsals and all during the punishing American Idol finals run.

Royal Wedding Hoopla

By now, everyone in the planet knows April 29 is the date Prince William will wed Kate Middleton in what those in the know calls the "wedding of the century".

Intense public scrutiny has been the main staple of the royal romance, but when Prince William proposed to Kate in October while holidaying in Kenya, and popping the question with her late mother Princess Diana's engagement ring, the world only got wind of it a month later when Buckingham Palace announced the engagement.

The wedding itself will be a national bank holiday in Britain, with the wedding service taking place at the grand Westminster Abbey at 11 a.m. It is a Friday, chosen by the couple because it is the Feast Day of St. Catherine, Kate's namesake.

As to the wedding costs, the royals stemmed the speculation that taxpayers will shoulder the bill, saying that the royal family and the Middletons will cover those, thank you. The cost includes reception and the honeymoon, but sources say security and post-wedding cleanups are public services that will be picked up by ordinary Brits.

Post-wedding scenarios? Short of a divorce, that is? Life will resume for everyone, with Kate Middleton probably on to a lot of trips and charity work representing the royal family. And of course, popping out male heirs to the throne. Busy, busy, busy!

For the younger generation who knows Liz Taylor more for her deep friendship with the late Michael Jackson, she was actually a very talented actress with a colorful career and an even more colorful personal life. With Oscar nominations and awards, seven husbands, and a trail of admirers all over the world, the word femme fatale must have been invented with her in mind.

She began her career at age 10, and her films like "Lassie Come Home" and "National Velvet" are still much-loved classics until today. She grew into a luminous beauty in "A Place in the Sun" and "Father of the Bride."

Elizabeth's love life has been well-publicized, but none more so than that with fellow actor Richard Burton. They were married and divorced a couple of times.

Hollywood will surely miss Elizabeth Taylor's star quality. She always dressed like a star, with her fabulous eyes, huge diamonds, and an unceasing love for life and never-ending quest for happiness.

Hollywood split-ups may have become common these days, but please rule out the Beckhams. They're not the Gores, nor Sandy and Jesse. And the rumor circulating at Twitter that they are on the verge of calling it quits is "Nonsense", so David and Victoria Beckham says according to the Daily Mail.

The Twitter rumor started when PR guy Andrew Bloch tweeted: "I am hearing from a number of sources that Victoria and David Beckham are due to announce their separation in a few hours."

The couple swiftly denied the rumor through David Beckham's long-time publicist Simon Oliviera, who tweeted Bloch back saying: "Didn't know you were the new Perez Hilton. I think I would be aware of that, utter nonsense. Have a word with your sources."

Although Bloch has since tweeted an update that the rumor is indeed a figment of imagination, the rumor has already circulated Twitterdom. Like smoke, it escaped to the Internet ether and picked up by websites and blogs, like this one.

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart Got Married -- in Jeans!

They finally did it, and how! "Indiana Jones" Harrison Ford get married to long-time partner "Ally McBeal" Calista Flockhart -- he in Wrangler jeans and she in a white sundress. PopEater called it "the icing on the cake" of the couple's "eight-year relationship and 16-month engagement." And it was casual.

It was held outdoors in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Harrison Ford was filming "Cowboys & Aliens". He had the day off from work, right? So what the heck, let's get married!

Their inner circle are happy for the couple. Ford's son, Ben, says: "I think it is wonderful that they finally made it legit. It is really terrific news." Costume designer Bernie Pollack, a close friend, thought "This [marriage] will only enhance what they already had . . . They're both honest in their approach to life and to each other."

Sandra Bullock showed up at the star-studded Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery last Tuesday and wowed the crowd with her " tongue-in-cheek guitar plucking," People reported. Sandy put in a surprise appearance in the concert that raked in more than $2 million for flood victims.

The concert was hosted by Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, Hill's real-life husband and Sandy's screen husband in her movie "The Blind Side". The 15,000-strong crowd gave Sandra Bullock a standing ovation after she yelled "I'm going to bring the house down," swung an acoustic guitar over her shoulder, and began the opening notes to "Smoke On the Water." Of course, she was only joking as she stopped playing and introduced Faith Hill instead.

Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, ZZ Top, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes and Miley Cyrus are among the more serious performers.

The fortune will make his children -- 13-year-old Prince, 12-year-old Paris, and 8-year-old Blanket -- billionaires by 40. If they're careful with their spending, that is.

According to NOTW, Michael Jackson really died broke, but his death made him so popular that his lawyers cashed in on this through movie and music deals that got him $300M.

Michael Jackson's will splits this fortune 40-40-20 to his 3 children, his mother, and to charity. This leaves a trust fund of $33 million to each child. At 21, they will have access to a third of their money. At 30, half of it. And at 40, they get it in full.

His will forgot to mention his ex-wives, brothers, sisters, dad, and close friends.

This has caused "disquiet among Jackson family members," according to NOTW.

Celine Dion's Twin Pregnancy

After last year's ups and downs in the personal life of Celine Dion and husband René Angélil, courtesy of expecting their second child and losing it months later in November, E! News reports that the couple is expecting again this year. Not just a second, but a third child as well. Twins! From a zero last year to double this year, not bad for the Canadian crooner long struggling to be a mom again.

Angelil, who is also Celine Dion's manager, disclosed that they were not discouraged after losing the baby last year. "... We put our faith in life and in the stars," he said in an interview shortly after their loss last year.

Several in-vitro fertilization and acupuncture treatments later, Celine Dion will finally become a mother to twins, being 14 weeks pregnant as of this writing.

Their first child, by the way, was also conceived in-vitro.

"Transformers 3" Minus Megan Fox

A lot of buzz has been going on for weeks about Megan Fox being dropped from the highly-successful "Transformers" movie series. Turns out there's some truth to it. Apparently, Megan Fox' contribution to the first two "Transformers" movies as Shia LaBeouf's sultry love interest cannot overcome the nagatives that came from her propensity to make attention-grabbing comments to the press. The final straw seems to be her public conflict with "Transformers" director Michael Bay that happened last year when "Transformers 2" was released.

Enter Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who has worked before with Michael Bay on several Victoria’s Secret pictorials. The 23-year-old Brit has no acting experience. A VS runway model in 2006, a Hollywood star in 2010. Talk about luck, or is it connections?

Lee DeWyze is the New American Idol

The paint store worker won over the single mom. And many are not happy about it. Mary T. Kelly raged about Lee DeWyze winning as this year's "American Idol" in Salon.com. She blamed it on America's texting tweens, who'd rather go for bland performer Lee than appreciate Crystal Bowersox' constantly and consistently powerhouse performances.

In the show's finale, Lee's performance is upstaged, as usual by Crystal's. And in a night packed with performances from Janet Jackson and Idols Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, to name a few, the guy who "spent the season looking like a deer caught in the headlights" didn't stand a chance. Add to that Paula Abdul's pink dress and Simon Cowell's goodbye speech. . . Lee who?

Kelly was right on one thing, though. "If there was a competition for being humble and grateful, he should win it," as Lee fell to the ground, overcome with emotion, after the announcement that he won.

Bad news for Beyoncé fans. They can no longer view "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It!)" in YouTube because of a copyright infringement issue, according to E!Online. Try YouTubing the Grammy winner's music videos and you will get this message: "This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds."

This message is a result of a lockdown by Sony on Beyoncé' works of art, and is seen by Motherboard, a techie website, as a sinister plot by the "floundering record industry" to get a piece of the lucrative online video pie. If that is really true, then music videos from other artists maybe locked down as well. And that is bad news to music fans everywhere.

People.com seemed to wax poetic over the softly-falling rain that fell on Paris as Jen and Gerald sailed on a luxury yacht. Jennifer Aniston and Gerald Butler was seen to be constantly "hugging and touching each other" on the cruise. And dining on salads, lobsters, and champagne. Wonder if "Moon River" played on board to complete the romantic mood?

The co-stars deny rumor of romance, with the Paris sojourn supposedly a promotional tour for The Bounty Hunter, which will premier on Sunday at Champs-Elysées.

New Moon: Pale Version of Twilight?

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon," maybe a hit with the teenage fans, but critics are lambasting the new Hollywood movie based on the best-selling vampire romance series created by Stephenie Meyers.

The Boston Globe, in particular, waxed eloquent, saying that the Hollywood sequel to last year's "Twilight" is "an anemic comedown after the full-blooded swoon" of the first movie. Critics complain of the dirge-like pacing of the story. They scored it low on dialogue and musical score, saying that these "bring out the book’s worst daytime soap tendencies."

The acting wasn't spared either, with Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson’s acting described as "all emo posturing", adding that "the actor suddenly seems to be embarrassed" to be in the movie."

The latest Hollywood news from the Huffington Post revolves around the "Photoshopping" efforts made on 47-year old Demi Moore's hips for the December issue of W magazine. In the cover, Hollywood actress Demi Moore wears a gold Balmain leotard, appearing incredibly thin.

While Photoshopping an image is a common occurrence in the magazine world, the Huffington Post wonders why Demi Moore's cover pic made an "anatomical wonder" out of the stunning actress. A closer look at her left hip in the photo seems to suggest a missing chunk!

Demi Moore denies she has been a victim of a botched Photoshop job, and has been defending her hips in her Twitter posts. She says she has been in the "skinny side lately", and tweets testily: “my hips were not touched don't let these people bullshit you!”

Who Will Replace Oprah?

Can anyone imagine TV without Oprah? Hard as it may seem to imagine, one thing is for sure: the TV-loving world will never be the same without the Queen of Talk - Oprah Winfrey. And when word got out that Oprah's self-titled TV show will end in 2011, talks of who will replace Queen Oprah at the throne of TV talk are becoming louder and louder.

The recent Hollywood news from PopEater is that there maybe several worthy contenders to the throne. PopEater says Ellen DeGeneres is a good candidate, having the gift of gab herself. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, has post-election fame and popularity, but it's a no-go because her political history may alienate massive portions of the viewing public.

Whoopi Goldberg can ditch the 'View' in favor of Oprah; she has the skills, smarts, and experience for it, while Ryan Seacrest can't shed his "interviewer" image and imbibe enough personality for daytime talk.

Shakira-Style Dancing Lawsuit Dismissed

Readers of The New York Post have been having a lively discussion on the merits of the dismissed case filed by 21-year old Megan Zacher, who will now go down in history as the girl who can't "Shake It Like Shakira."

Megan filed a lawsuit against Calico Jack's Cantina after falling down and shredding some knee ligaments as she danced in the bar's "Shake It Like Shakira" contest. Her suit claims that the bar should have told contestants that Shakira's signature hip-gyrations was "dangerous and likely to cause injury."

Nicole Kidman Says Hollywood Demeans Women

"Probably."

This is what award-winning Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman answered when she testified at the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee, when asked by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, on whether the movie industry "played a bad role," according to AP.

Nicole Kidman should now what she is talking about, having inhaled Hollywood for a long time now. She testified as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), promoting the International Violence against Women Act.

She back-pedaled in saying that despite Hollywood's propensity in giving women demeaning roles, the industry has also made efforts to ending women violence.

"I can't be responsible for all of Hollywood but I can certainly be responsible for my own career," she said. Good for her, because she has the privilege of picking her roles, but other Hollywood actresses, particularly low-megawatt ones, do not have the same fortune.

Britney Spears on Letterman . . . in a Bikini!

David Letterman's viewers really got an eyeful last Tuesday (August 18). An eyeful of Britney Spears in a little black bathing suit with a naughty red hibiscus flower tucked in her hair. People reported that the perennially controversial pop star crossed and uncrossed her legs, sitting on top of an office desk, while delivering the Top 10 List. This is Britney Spear's first appearance following a cameo years ago to The Late Show with David Letterman.

In the pre-taped segment, Britney Spears counted down the many fascinating ways that things will be different if she were president.

Number 4 on her list: "America might have a more coherent fiscal strategy."

Number 3: "Challenge U.S. to put nightclub on the moon by the end of the decade."

Number 2: "Three words: Vice President Diddy"

And she was really unbelievable with Number 1: "Finally, The media would pay some attention to me."

She's 51, but when Sharon Stone posed topless on French magazine Paris Match recently, she showed she could still give younger women a run for their money, according to Fox News.

Many women will probably scream "Unfair!" when they see Sharon Stone pose in nothing but a bondage-style ensemble of corset, leather boots, cage sandals and gloves. Unfair it may be, but this mother of three is still a looker and that "Basic Instinct" bod is still very flash-able and reminiscent of when she famously flashed the cameras in the 1992 film where she co-starred with Michael Douglas.

“I’m a person who feels that if it’s appropriate for the character I’m playing or the mood of the piece, then [posing nude] is no big thing,” the actress said.

All I can say is: I wish I have a body like that when I'm... 41.

Jennifer Aniston, who first captured the world's attention with her charming take on poor-rich-girl Rachel in "Friends,” was once considered one of the luckiest woman on the planet, being successful both in career and love, earning millions in TV and film, having married Brad Pitt and becoming one of Hollywood's A-list power couple.
