18 months ago Harriet Jenkins, 25, weighed 364 lbs (165 kg). But a lot has changed since then. Harriet has joined a slimming group and 18 months later she lost 10 dress sizes. She has reached 161 lbs (73 kg), perfect weight for her 5ft 8in height. Harriet got the teaching job she dreamed about, and was named Slimming World’s Woman of the Year.

Miss Jenkins, from Southampton, was overweight from childhood, but put on the pounds after her dad John was diagnosed with a fatal liver disease in July 2002.

New Technologies

The technology is the set of technical, scientific, allowing design and create goods or services that facilitate adaptation to the environment and meet the needs of people. Technological activity influences the social and economic progress, and encourages people to life and create a greater being. 3D television, for example, is a technology that is impacting more people, or smart phones, to say nothing of the iPhone or the iPad.

But many technological inventions that may or may not improve even more our lives do not reach the shelves of the market and we were disappointed. With this post, I show my loved one or dear surfer an interesting collection of technologically advanced devices that are unlikely to ever enjoy (some are quite weirdos, of course, but no less practical) but at least we know. For example: A cigarette lighter mobile phone, a toaster printer, a fork with laser pointer, a coffin with satellite TV and in the grave, a computer screen with wiper, a toilet with built-in camera, a projector screen and hammer , a mobile phone Catcha Mouse, a cup of coffee with tablet PC built, bananas mobile launchers sedan car for countries with high crime, a mower that is both watering can, a toilet paper dispenser that can be piecewise pay by credit card, a public urinal for ladies with automatic subject you know … and so on.

Fire Breathing. Fire breathing is the act of creating a fireball by breathing a fine mist of fuel over an open flame. Proper technique and the correct fuel create the illusion of danger to enhance the novelty of fire breathing, while reducing the risk to health and safety. When using the correct fuel, it will only light when sprayed into a fine mist increasing the surface area of the fuel so that the fuel/oxygen/heat ratio is balanced enough to cause combustion.

The Worlds First Underwater Sculpture Park

The World’s First Underwater Sculpture Park. In the Gulf Molinere on the west coast of Grenada is the world’s first underwater sculpture park in which there are 65 breathtaking masterpieces created by an underwater photographer, sculptor and an active campaigner for the preservation of nature by Jason de Keyresom Taylor. Working with marine biologists and the American company to create artificial reefs, Taylor brings forth an amazing installations that function as artificial reefs, which help maintain the life of rare species of marine organisms.
Taylor recently completed the installation of his latest project, entitled “Silent Evolution” on the coast of Cancun.

X-Ray,See Through the World Around You

In science fiction stories or super hero comics, X-ray vision is the ability to see through physical objects at the discretion of the holder of this superpower. I think it’s very interesting to see the world through x-ray .At the very least, artist Nick Veasey takes stunning X-ray photographs of the mundane, the gigantic, and naturally, of nature.

Battle of Food Tomatina Festival 2011. In popular “Battle of food” in the east of Bunol Spain, August 31, were involved with the use of tons of overripe tomatoes. La Tomatina festival, held annually on the last Wednesday of August, is known for a long tradition. According to one version, he goes back to the 1940s. Then a group of young people taking part in the parade “gigantes y cabezudos” (giants and big heads), first used the tomatoes with vegetable stalls as a weapon. In 2011, take part in the battle were about 40 thousand people from around the world.

Wonderful snow globes

Snow globes were one of my favorite toys. They are one of the most common presents for a Christmas and New Year holidays. I have always been impressed with different creation of those little balls that can really be beautiful and amazing. We could say that this is some kind of art to produce such things. Snow globes usually contain something that can make you happier or that can entertain you. But those snow globes are different, we could rather call them horror snow globes. So what’s the story behind the scene in that globe? My guess is an officer is practicing his close range shooting skills on the back of some guy’s head while another copper watches and, quite possibly, gets aroused. Freaking classic, just like mom used to read me before bed.

The Hot Air Balloons

The hot air balloon is the oldest successful human-carrying flight technology. On November 21, 1783, in Paris, France, the first manned flight was made by Jean-Francois Pilatre de Rozier and Francois Laurent d’Arlandes in a hot air balloon created by the Montgolfier brothers.
Modern hot air ballons, with an onboard heat source, were pioneered by Ed Yost, beginning in the 1950s. His work resulted in his first successful flight, on October 22, 1960.
