A few general thoughts about the application process:

If the leather needs cleaning, we recommend cleaning with a warm soap, like Murphy’s Oil Soap, and water. Then, allow the leather to dry completely before applying the Leather Honey.
First, we always recommend applying at room temperature, or warmer. The warmer the product is, the more liquid it is and easier to spread around. People can heat it up in the microwave if they desire.
As leather dries out, it lightens in color. Therefore, when you condition it, it may slightly darken the color. If you are concerned about that, apply to a small, discreet area to be sure.
We recommend using a sponge, paint brush, or lint-free cloth to apply. For furniture, most customers recommend using a paint brush or sponge as it is easier to cover larger areas.
For best results, allow the couch to sit overnight after applying the product. Then wipe off any excess and, if it looks like it could use another coat, don’t hesitate to make 2-3 applications. You won’t harm the leather by applying too much, but you will eventually oversaturate the pores and they just won’t be able to absorb anymore.
Depending on the type of leather, it can literally take a week for the Leather Honey to be totally absorbed by the leather. Don’t worry if there is an initial discoloration or splotches, as it will even out over time.

Processing
· Leather, fabrics, boards and foams are precision-cut on the most modern CNC machines.
· The frame construction, sewing and upholstering, by contrast, remain the job of highly skilled craftsmen with whom we maintain a long tradition.
· Most models are casually processed, meaning that they also look comfortable and are not tightly upholstered. Creases can therefore develop after a short time, especially in the seat; however, they will not grow appreciably with further use and are no ground for objections.
· Our production is certified according to ISO 9001:2000.
· All products go through at least two quality controls and are photographed prior to being wrapped, in order to be able to check the processing afterwards as well.
Environment
· All woods come from European, sustainably-managed forests. We use the wastes to heat our production rooms, thus doing away with fuel oil entirely.
· Our foams are manufactured with CFC's. The wastes generated during the processing are 100% recycled. The polyester fleeces are heat-set, and fleece wastes are also 100% recycled.
· Our packages are pure-fraction (cardboard or LDPE) and can be recycled without difficulty.
Health
· The plywood is particle boards we use correspond to the E1 standard.
· Through the careful drying of local woods to 12% wood moisture content, we can dispense entirely with the chemical conservation of solid wood.
