Award winning photographer Susan White of Furryfaceportraits.com in Pembroke is sponsoring a benefit for The Mary Hooper Elder Pet Care (HELP) Program at the "Scituate Animal Shelter", operated by the Friends of the Scituate Shelter, Inc, the Scituate Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal shelter that is primarily volunteer run and funded solely by private donations. The Shelter is staffed by three full-time Directors and over 140 volunteers. We receive no state or federal government funding, so we rely entirely upon donations to cover our annual operating expenses. Proudly serving the communities of the greater South Shore region…

For a limited time only, (June 2015) Susan will be taking portraits of pets and their people at a special price of only $69 that includes a studio portrait session, and one seven by five inch matted art print (total value $150).

*50% of this fee goes directly to the charity. At least 12 images to choose from will be presented at a special projected viewing appointment at the studio. Special pricing on print packages, wall portraits, photo pocketbooks.

Sessions are by Appointment Only and payable in advance to reserve your time.

Photographer Susan White donates over Seven hundred dollars to Scituate Animal shelter

Pembroke Photographer Susan White pictured here with three King Charles Cavalier pups she photographed during her recent "Paws for a Cause" benefit for the Scituate Animal shelter. Each year Ms. White chooses an organization that helps animals to be the recipient of her benefit. This year Susan donated over seven hundred dollars to help the animals at the Scituate shelter, which annually provides over 500 stray, abused or abandoned pets with exceptional care, and home placement. In conjunction with her pet photo benefit, Pet Gazette editor John Harvey chooses his favorite dog portrait taken by Ms. White to be featured on the cover, along with three runner ups. The owner of the winning cover dog receives a complimentary enlargement from Susan White of their dog on the cover of the Gazette. Ms. White photographs the dogs ( and cats) at her studio in Pembroke which is situated on over three acres of woodlands, abutting the Tubbs Meadow nature preserve.

"Working like a dog" photo wins red ribbon award

One of my favorite images was just awarded a red ribbon at the Professional Photographers of Mass. competition.I photographed this handsome and very photogenic Dachshund named "Trot" during a job we were doing for McNamara financial services in Marshfield,Ma. They actually have three of these wonderful little dogs who act as greeters when you enter their office. --Susan White

We were pleasantly surprised when this gorgeous, green eyed boy named "Wizard", posed so elegantly in his mom's arms for us. For the most part we find that cats are not very willing subjects, as they do not like to be out of their own surroundings. But Wizard proved us wrong, and his mom told us that she felt it was worth the drive to Norwell all the way from North Attleboro! We also caught a beautiful image of Wizard and his mom together, which showed what great friends they are to each other!

This is an organization that helps people that have fallen on hard times that can no longer afford food and medical expenses for their beloved pets. Award winning photographer Susan White of "Furryfaceportraits.com" in Norwell, is sponsoring a benefit for "Fairy Dog Parents", a registered non-profit charity whose mission is to prevent dog owners from having to give up their beloved pets due to financial hardship in these difficult times. They provide qualified applicants with necessities such as financial assistance for food and medical needs.

For a limited time only, (November 9-13) Susan will be taking portraits of pets and their people at a special price of only $59 that includes a studio portrait session, one seven by five matted art print (total value $150) and entry into the "Best Pet Portrait Contest".

All purchased portraits will be displayed at a generously donated space at HANOVER MALL (next to Dunkin Donuts), and posted on Furry Face Portraits Web Site to vote for the best pet portrait. Each vote will cost $1 - all of which will go to the charity. The winner will receive a grand prize of a photo tote bag from Susan White (value $125), a $100 gift certificate from Mayflower Mobile Vet, a free grooming session from Paws in Paradise ($40 value), and $50 gift certificate from the Healthy Animal Pet Store.

FIFTY PERCENT OF THIS FEE GOES DIRECTLY TO THE CHARITY!
At least 20 images will be presented at a projected viewing appointment at the studio from which to choose from. Scott and his best bud Diesel

I had the pleasure of photographing these two "best buddies" recently at my studio. Scott told me that his Rotweiller "Diesel" was a rescue dog who had been chained to a dumpster in New York city, and was rescued by a local woman who runs a shelter. When Scott first got Diesel, he was very aggressive, as he was most likely trained to be an attack dog. But with a lot of love and attention,Diesel is now like a big teddy bear, and enjoying his new Dad. Happy endings do happen sometimes....
