Why they produce Expert Advisors?

Forex Expert Advisors are huge business online and promise the road to financial freedom with no effort and all for the cost of a night out! Of course it looks to good to be true and it is and of you read this article, you know why you will lose money with all of them.

The way to cut through the marketing hype and see if these Forex robots really do make money is simply to look for evidence of them making real money, that's verified from a reliable source and its no surprise to find that not one of these cheap software packages does this and the reason is obvious - they have never made any real money! So how do they produce a track record of gains which is better than the world's super traders, who are paid millions of dollars a year in salaries and sell their system, for just a hundred dollars or so?

Simple - they make them up!

The track records are simulated, this means just getting past price data and then bending the system to fit the data, so it shows a profit. This of course is easy, as the vendor knows all the price closes in advance and anyone, can make millions doing this but that's not real life. Forex trading is such a challenge, because we don't know the price in advance!

Some vendors produce account statements, they say are correct but again there not checked or verified and you have to take the word of the person selling the system Furthermore, look around the forums and there are traders, wondering why their not getting the same results as the vendor!

If you really could make money with no effort for spending the cost of a night at the bar the whole world would be trading and no one would bother to work - don't be sucked in by the marketing hype, look for real results and if you look - you won't find any.

What is Scalping?

Scalping is a trading style specializing in taking profits on small price changes, generally soon after a trade has been entered and has become profitable. It requires a trader to have a strict exit strategy because one large loss could eliminate the many small gains that the trader has worked to obtain. Having the right tools such as a live feed, a direct-access broker and the stamina to place many trades is required for this strategy to be successful.

A scalper intends to take as many small profits as possible, not allowing them to evaporate. Such an approach is the opposite of the "let your profits run" mindset, which attempts to optimize positive trading results by increasing the size of winning trades while letting others reverse. Scalping achieves results by increasing the number of winners and sacrificing the size of the wins. It's not uncommon for a trader of a longer time frame to achieve positive results by winning only half or even less of his or her trades - it's just that the wins are much bigger than the losses. A successful scalper, however, will have a much higher ratio of winning trades versus losing ones while keeping profits roughly equal or slightly bigger than losses.

The main premises of scalping are:

•Lessened exposure limits risk - A brief exposure to the market diminishes the probability of running into an adverse event.
•Smaller moves are easier to obtain - A bigger imbalance of supply and demand is needed to warrant bigger price changes. It is easier for a stock to make a 10 cent move than it is to make a $1 move.
•Smaller moves are more frequent than larger ones - Even during relatively quiet markets there are many small movements that a scalper can exploit.
Scalping can be adopted as a primary or supplementary style of trading.

Primary Style
A pure scalper will make a number of trades a day, between five and 10 to hundreds. A scalper will mostly utilize one-minute charts since the time frame is small and he or she needs to see the setups as they shape up as close to real time as possible. Quote systems Nasdaq Level II, TotalView and/or Times and Sales are essential tools for this type of trading. Automatic instant execution of orders is crucial to a scalper, so a direct-access broker is the favored weapon of choice.

Supplementary Style
Traders of other time frames can use scalping as a supplementary approach in several ways. The most obvious way is to use it when the market is choppy or locked in a narrow range. When there are no trends in a longer time frame, going to a shorter time frame can reveal visible and exploitable trends, which can lead a trader to scalp.

Another way to add scalping to longer time-frame trades is through the so-called "umbrella" concept. This approach allows a trader to improve his or her cost basis and maximize a profit. Umbrella trades are done in the following way:

•A trader initiates a position for a longer time-frame trade.
•While the main trade develops, a trader identifies new setups in a shorter time frame in the direction of the main trade, entering and exiting them by the principles of scalping.
Practically any trading system, based on particular setups, can be used for the purposes of scalping. In this regard, scalping can be seen as a kind of method of risk management. Basically any trade can be turned into a scalp by taking a profit near the 1:1 risk/reward ratio. This means that the size of profit taken equals the size of a stop dictated by the setup. If, for instance, a trader enters his or her position for a scalp trade at $20 with an initial stop at $19.90, then the risk is 10 cents; this means a 1:1 risk/reward ratio will be reached at $20.10.

Scalp trades can be executed on both long and short sides. They can be done on breakouts or in range-bound trading. Many traditional chart formations, such as a cup and handle or triangle, can be used for scalping. The same can be said about technical indicators if a trader bases decisions on them.

Set a Money Management Goal
Money management is a means to an end. However, make your goal practical and be sure the “end” is in clear sight. Although your money management goal may be to have a comfortable retirement, start small with objectives like paying off a credit card within X number of months or saving $X by the end of the year. In money management, like in any regimen, there’s nothing like the satisfaction of success to keep you on track!

Know what you have
Before you can live within your means, you need to know what your means are. Start money management by taking stock of your money. You’ll probably be surprised at how rich you really are!

As well as the cash in your pocket or purse, include piggy bank cash, bank balances, and available credit from credit cards. (Lines of credit, such as overdraft protections and available credit from credit balances, are additional resources we can use to purchase goods and services. At first look, they appear to be a part of our money. However, credit always belongs to the creditor. When we tap into these financial resources, they decrease our spending power over the long haul with finance charges, fees, and interest that increase our debt.)

Go on a treasure hunt to find lost money. Look in coat and trouser pockets, through Birthday and other greeting cards, jewelry boxes, dresser drawers, under furniture cushions, behind and under furniture, in your freezer, and under your mattress!

Although our money is an asset and all of our assets are types of our money, generally we’re more inclined to think of assets as property.
However although all of our possessions are parts of our wealth that we can turn into cash, usually they are the types of our money that we want to protect from creditors. For instance, you probably don’t want to sell your car or cash in a valuable coin collection to pay a bill. Yet, the ability to convert property to cash is a good concept to remember in identifying and effectively managing your money.

Some assets like vehicles and appliances depreciate (decrease in value) over time. Yet, while they don’t increase spending power, you can turn them into cash.

Long-term assets like real estate holdings, investments, and personal property such as collections, artworks, and antiques appreciate (increase in value) over time and actually enable us to save money and increase our wealth.

Track your income
Really track your income! If you have at least a month’s worth of old check stubs, add them up and divide them to see what your average income is. Better yet, if you can add them for a quarter year and divide by 13 (number of weeks in a quarter) you’ll get a more accurate view of your earning power. If you haven’t saved check stubs, do it for at least four weeks. Don’t just add your weekly wage times four. You’ll be forgetting sick days, flat-tire days, and omitting extra income from overtime and holidays.

Track your spending
Once you know what money you have now and what income you can expect to get, it’s time to find out where your money goes. Take a month and track your spending down to the penny. Make your first purchase a small notebook and pen you can carry in purse or pocket.
Record everything! In addition to tracking the cash you spend, use your notebook to record every bill payment, check, debit, and credit card expenditure. Include the amount you paid, who you paid (or where you shopped), and the date you made the purchase.
After a couple of weeks, you’ll find yourself reconsidering if you really need that pack of gum or mid-morning café latte. However, this money management exercise is designed to show you how you usually spend your money. It’s important during this month not to deny yourself your usual pleasures, no matter how trivial they are.

Setting a realistic goal, knowing what you have, what you expect to earn, and tracking your spending are the basics of money management that enable you to control your money and make wise budgeting choices in the future.

We are treating the drop from 2.0396 as a leading diagonal (wave 1 of C within the A-B-C decline from 2.1160). Under this interpretation, the GBPUSD rally from 1.9599 is wave 2 within the 5 wave drop (wave C) from 2.0396. Keep risk at 1.9964.

Reviewing what we already know; there are 5 waves down from 1.6018 which confirm that an important top is in place. The rally from 1.5554 is in 3 waves which is corrective and additional evidence that the larger trend is now down. The EURUSD has dropped below 1.5554, therefore wave 3 (or c) within the 5 (or 3) wave bear cycle from 1.6018 is probably underway. For wave 2 to end above 1.5694, the pair would have to trace out an expanded flat, which is more common in 4th waves and the internal structure of the decline from 1.5694 is impulsive. Ideally, price remains below 1.5610 but risk can be moved to 1.5694.
STRATEGY: Bearish, against 1.5694, target below 1.5342

Cable retreats mildly after reaching as high as 2.0389 and touching of 2.0281 minor support indicates that an intraday top is in place. Outlook is turned neutral for the moment. The whole rise from 1.9360 has already met mentioned key near term resistance zone of 2.0363/0464. Focus is now on 1.9994 support.
In the bigger picture, the question is whether the current rise from 1.9337 is merely correction to fall from 2.1161, or the start of another set of rallies. The structure of this rally, as well as the reaction to resistance zone of 161.8% projection of 1.9337 to 1.9957 from 1.9360 at 2.0363 and 61.8% retracement of 2.1161 to 1.9337 at 2.0464 are critical.
Right now, with 2.0363/0464 resistance zone still holds, the favored case is still that rise from 1.9337 is merely a correction. Though, break of 1.9994 support is needed to signal the completion of rise from 1.9360 first. However, decisive break of 2.0363/0464 will dampen this view and encourage a retest of 2.1161 high.

USD/CHF's fall resumes in early US session and breaks mentioned 1.0000 psychological level. At this point, intraday bias remains on the downside as long as 1.0142 minor resistance holds and further decline is still expected. Above 1.0142 will turn intraday outlook consolidative first. But short term outlook will remain bearish until a break of 1.0352 resistance.
In the bigger picture, whole down trend from 1.3283 (05 high) is still in progress. Also, such medium term decline is tentatively treated as resumption of the long term down trend from 1.8305 (00 high) and has already met parity. Sustained trading below 1.0000 psychological support will set the stage for further down trend to 61.8% projection of 1.8305 to 1.1128 from 1.3283 at 0.8946.
On the upside, above 1.0352 resistance will indicate that fall from 1.1105 has possibly completed. This will also be the first alert that USD/CHF is having strong support from parity. Strong rebound should then be seen in such case, with prospect of testing 1.0729 support turned resistance. But after all, medium term outlook will remain bearish as long as this 1.0729 resistance holds.

Forex Technical Update
Euro: The euro weakened slightly against the U.S. dollar in the last session on Friday after touching a new lifetime high of 1.5240 to end the day at 1.5180. The daily stochastics is in a highly overbought position but the the upmove could continue as 4-hourly has turned upwards. Immediate support comes in around 1.5198 levels (21 4-Hrly EMA) breaking which Euro can fall to 1.5152 levels (4-Hrly 55 EMA). Look for opportunities to go long at those levels. (eur/usd – 1.5213).
Pound: Pound fell slightly against the dollar on Friday as the global equity markets plunged, overall the pair traded with a high of 1.9921 and a low of 1.9783 before closing the day at 1.9869 in the New York session. The daily stochastics is close to the overbought region and shows slight selling pressure. Immediate support comes in at 1.9830 (21 Hourly EMA) breaking which cable will fall to 1.9815 levels (100 Hrly EMA). (gbp/usd - 1.9848).
Yen: Yen gained on the back of unwinding of carry trades as the pair traded in a range of 158 pips and touched a low of 103.79, lowest levels since March 2005 before closing the day at 103.88. The pair is extremely oversold in Hourly, 4-Hourly and daily charts and has dropped further during the early asian session as the equities market plunged on growing credit concerns. Avoid initiating positions at current levels. (usd/jpy - 103.23 ).
Rupee: On the day of budget the rupee lost 14 paise against the dollar to close at 40.01/02 before moving widely in a range of 40.03 and 39.82 on Friday as the finance minister proposed to hike the short-term capital gains tax. It ended above the crucial 40-mark for the third time in 10 days. Medium Term Target - 40.50. (usd/inr - 40.15).
Swiss Franc: Swissy traded in a range of 119 pips on Friday, as the USD/CHF pair continues to establish new multi-decade lows on growing risk aversion. The pair touched an intraday low of 1.0408 before closing at 1.0417. The daily and 4-Hrly charts are extremely oversold while the hourly shows a upmove. Immediate resistance comes in at 1.0400 levels (21 Hrly EMA & 38.2% retracement). Short at those levels targetting 40 pips. (usd/chf - 1.0344).
Australian Dollar: Australian dollar fell by almost 180 pips as the high yielding commodity currency was sold rapidly on the back of lower equity markets and it formed a reversal bar in Fridays session to close at 0.9314. The 4-hrly charts are oversold while the daily shows selling pressure. Immediate support comes in at 0.9288 levels(55 4-Hrly EMA) breaking which AUD/USD should touch 0.9200 levels (100 4-Hrly EMA). Gold: Gold traded within a range of $11 and maintained its strength on Friday as it surged up further to record a new lifetime high of $975.95. The daily, 4-hourly and hrly charts are in the overbought region as gold touched $984.20 levels in the early asian session. The upwards movement could continue due to risk aversion as the equities market have plunged in Asia. (Gold-$983.45).
Dollar index: USD remained weak against most of the major currencies on Friday due to which dollar index declined by 0.105 points and is currently at 73.63. Its immediate resistance is seen at the level of 74.80 (8-hourly Moving Average).
