Biogas properties

The reorganization of the Prime Minister's Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council, a top-level scientific body, reflects the national resolve to take India to a prominent position in the emerging and rapidly changing global science and technology system. India has set its ambition to be among the top three countries by 2030. Needless to say, it is not very readily available. But considering India's campaign, it doesn't seem impossible.

However, without frugal innovation, advances in science have not kept pace with public promise, and spending on research and development has tripled in the last decade. But where is the leadership of Indian Science Society like Sir CV Raman, Jagadish Chandra Bose, Srinivas Ramanujam or Meghnad Saha?

Indian science is now tackling important challenges in areas like water, energy, health, environment, climate, agriculture, food and that is what the Prime Minister's Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council must do.

The Council will formulate national policies in a mission mode in nine areas: Quantum Frontier, Artificial Intelligence, National Biodiversity, Electrical Mobility, Biology for Human Health, Waste Health, Deep-Sea Research, AGNIi (Rapid Development for New India Innovation). The development of all these areas will make the country competitive at the international level. The approach has been rearranged for a combination of basic science and applied science.

Energy system heliorec (www.heliorec.com) is a green technology company focused on solar energy and the recycling of household and industrial plastics. Following its principles and concepts, Heliorec has developed a solar power generation system that will successfully find its application in countries.

The Heliorec team is convinced that the eyes of the whole world should be drawn to the Asian countries. Countries in the region contribute the most to global environmental problems such as global warming, the greenhouse effect, and the pollution of untreated plastics.

Here is some information that speaks for itself. In total, Asia produces 57% of global CO2 emissions, while Europe produces 7% (Figure 1).

China produces 30% of the world's plastic, but only 5-7% is recyclable at the moment, and if this trend is followed, by 2050 there will be more plastic presence than sea fish.

Platform design

The structure of the floating platform will be sandwich panels, the main component of production which will be recyclable plastic, HPPE. The circumference of the platform will be stronger to withstand mechanical stress with a stronger material like steel. Empty cylinders made of high quality and plastic materials will be attached to the bottom of the floating platform, which will act as shock absorbers for the original hydromechanical loads. The top of these cylinders will be filled with air to continue the platform. This design avoids direct contact of the platform with the erosive environment of seawater. This idea was proposed by the Austrian company Heliofloat (www.heliofloat.com) (Figure 2).

Once the platform design is finalized, submarine cables and anchor lines will be built at each individual location. The Portuguese company Waves (www.wavec.org) will handle this opportunity. Wave is a world leader in the implementation of alternative energy projects at sea (Figure 3).

As a result of the research, the application of new agro-technologies in the field of farmers has almost tripled the production of cereals and other agro-foods. The credit for this huge achievement goes to the agriculturists and the peasantry of the country. The achievements of the government in formulating and implementing timely agricultural policy are also significant in this regard. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the greatest Bengali nation of all time, started the AB revolution in agriculture in Bangladesh. He rightly felt that there was no alternative to agricultural development in the implementation of Sonar Bangla. 1. Land degradation and environmental pollution from unplanned chemicals such as synthetic pesticides, fertilizer use and industrial waste have taken a serious turn.

2. Intensive cultivation of a single species is causing an alarming decline in biodiversity. Productivity is declining due to the depletion of certain nutrients in the soil.

3. Adverse effects of chemical pesticides used in agriculture are adversely affecting other organisms in the environment and even human health.

4. As a result of the unplanned settlement, industrialization, construction of brickfields, urbanization, agricultural land is declining at the rate of 220 acres per day or 1% per annum. In the last 40 years, about one-third of the agricultural land has gone to the non-agricultural sector. Brickfields on agricultural land are major cancer, a deadly disease for future agriculture.

5. At present, 3-4 thousand litres of water is used per kg of paddy production. As a result of extra water extraction, the groundwater level is going down. As a result, desertification is noticeable in the north.

. The amount of organic matter in agriculture is declining alarmingly. As a result, the soil has become barren and lifeless.

Besides, both the farmers and the consumers are suffering as a result of the failure of the market system. To solve these problems we need to innovate knowledge-based sustainable technology and apply it to the farmers on time. It is necessary to adopt far-sighted policies and plans so that continuous development of technology and knowledge in agriculture can be carried out in continuous problem-based research.

It has been observed that one taka investment in agricultural research in this country gives a return of more than three rupees. So we need to increase investment in agricultural research. It is difficult to ensure the supply of food to the growing population through traditional adaptation techniques and traditional horizontal farming. We need to increase investment in agriculture and introduce crop insurance. The present government is called an agri-friendly government. Despite the various challenges, taking timely steps has had a significant positive impact on agricultural production. Notable among these steps are:

New technology will be able to meet new challenges. However, nationally coordinated initiatives are needed to address any challenge. The traditional style must be changed. In this context I would like to recall Norman Borlaug's statement: "Change we must, or we will perish as species, just as did the dinosaurs in the Late Cretaceous". But for any change, we need the planned and continuous efforts of the government, political leaders, scientists, people, intellectuals, cultural activists and the media. Sad but true is the fact that the challenge to global food security is the efficient market and distribution system and the over-consumption mentality of rich countries.
