Fuzion Talent & Dance, LLC is a Talent Agency/Dance School based in Florida with offices in New York and Los Angeles. We specialize in providing a place where talented and experienced dancers can be represented and or take a class to enhance their current skills. It is a place where a person can take a hip-hop class and incorporate modern and ballet

We love dance, we love music and we love the idea of intertwining different dance styles and showcasing them to the world. Now we may not be the first in the industry but we certainly will take it on my storm!!

Our key demographic is mostly females ranging in ages from 17 to 28, with some males ranging in ages from 18 to 25. These customers have a at least a high school education and are currently in college. The location they fall under is New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Philadelphia. Their interests fall into the categories of dance, music, hip hop, urban culture, entertainment and talent related fields.

Below I will discuss our top three (3) competitors in the industry. They are as follows; Clear Talent Group, Bloc Agency, and McDonald Selznick Associates (MSA)

Clear Talent Group

Clear talent group is a talent agency located in New York and Los Angeles. They represent talented artist in all realms of entertainment and not just dance, so they are a force to be reckoned with. Their website has a clean layout that showcases all of the various areas they work in. They also have information and photos of the talent they represent and what projects they have been a part of. The downside to their web presence is that its barely there. Based on my findings from Alexa.com ClearTalentGroup.com ranks 461,700 in the past 3 months based on page views in visits in the United States. The also rank 2,073,412 based on 3 months in the Alexa,com traffic ranking. Clear Talent Group is visited more frequently by females who are in the age range 25-34, have no children, are college educated and browse this site from work.

Bloc Agency is located in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. They represent not only dancers but also chorographers and extreme sports athletes as well. Since they have offices in major cities in the US, they are sure not to miss an opportunity to find hidden talent. Their website falls in line with Clear Talent Group, very simple with all the information complied together. The downside to their site is the lack of SEO and social networking. They keep up with the standard email and fax, and announcements, but lack a way of reaching out to their target audience with a facebook.com page and/or twitter news feed. Based on my findings Blocagency.com is ranked 3,657,342 in alexa.com traffic, while having 17 other sites linking to their own. Bloc Talent Agency is visited more frequently by users who are in the age range 25-34, have no children, are college educated and browse this site from home.

The leading agency in the United States has offices located in New York and Los Angeles. They represent dancers, chorographers, stage directors and production designers. Their clients have won many awards and have been seen in concert tours, music videos, commercials, television shows, movies, Broadway, The Olympics and The Super Bowl to name a few. MSA website offers a lot when a person first visits it. They are welcomed with an up-tempo song and slide show that showcases their talents. Contact information is shown clearly on the homepage without having to play click-n-find. They also have an RSS feed to keep folks updated. As of now I do not see any negative to this website once directed here. Based on my research results MSA ranks 2,038,875 in Alexa.com traffic ranking over the past 3 months. For March alone MSA.com has only received 600 visits, which is an increase of 110.53% from February’s 235 visits that dropped from 1,935 in its previous month. MSA is visited more frequently by females who are in the age range 35-44, have no children, are college educated and browse this site from work.

10 Ways To Get Noticed At A Dance Audition

10 ways to get noticed at a dance audition

1. Arrive early - Always allow yourself enough time to find the location of the audition and to register.

2. Warm up – Just like arriving early, you want to make sure you allow yourself enough time to warm up properly. The typical amount of time needed to warm up is 30 minutes, so make sure you do to avoid injury.

3. Resume and headshot – Having a professional headshot and resume is a vital tool at any audition. It allows judges to see your previous jobs, training and skills. Make sure that the headshot is an 8x10 with your name, stats, and contact information on the back.

4. Attire – In some cases auditions may cause for a certain type of dress attire, so you want to make sure you dress appropriately. Hair should always be away from the face and jewelry is not allowed.

5. Be seen – Stand in front whenever possible. The front row is typically where judges will look first, and then they make their way to the back. If you have a hard time learning combinations standing in the front is the ideal place for you to be. During the actual audition depending on how it is set up (individual or group) you may be required to stand according to number. If that is the case stand up straight and radiate confidence

6. Learn the combination - Do your best to learn the dance sequence as quickly as possible. While learning it do exactly as the teacher does. Do not try to improvise or add your own flare just yet. The judges want to see if you are able to take direction and can pick up on movements. If there is a call back, then you will have time to add your own flare.

If you were required to compose a routine for the audition make sure you rehearse so there is no chance of forgetting. If that does happened, be confident and recover with a new step of the next step. Since you were the one that choreographed the routine no one will know you’ve made a mistake but you.

7. Facial expression – Make use for your face. If the dance calls for compassion or anger, show it in your face. Just make sure you don’t go over board. There have been cases of dancer face, when all the judges can see is the over exaggerated facial expression of dancers. This takes away from the moves and you will be passed over.

8. Confidence – It has been stated before but having confidence is key. Believe in your moves, believe in yourself. Stand up straight, hold your head up high and SMILE!

9. While you wait – While you are waiting for your turn to audition pay respect to those that are performing. This is not the time to hold side conversations, instead watch the others audition and mark the steps in your head.

10. When its all over- Thank the judges and the instructor when you are done. This gives them one last look at you and shows a sign of professionalism.

Hip Hop Dance Legend Wade Robson Holds Master Class
Legendary choreographer Wade Robson makes a guest appearance at Fuzion Talent & Dance.

Orlando, FL(PRWEB) May 11, 2010—Fuzion Talent & Dance is now announcing that it will be the host site for Wade Robson’s Hip Hop Master Class. The class will be held June 15th 2010. Wade Robson is a two-time Emmy winner, choreographer on the Fox TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance” and has choreographed the world tours of some of the top pop stars of our decade which include Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Pink, and Usher.

Wade Robson’s Master Class will be the first of many in a series geared towards hip-hop and “fuzion”. “Fuzion” is our way of combing two different dance styles into one. These master level classes will be opened to the public that has previous dance experience. Other well-known choreographers that will hold Master Classes include; Bobby Newberry, Blake McGrath and Kenny Wormald. As stated in the post below I will discuss the demographics that dance Fuzion Talent & Dance will cater to, but first I must explain the industry. Fuzion Talent & Dance can be seen over different industry standards; dance and music. Dance is something that is international and is for all ages and genders just like music.

The goal of our company is to seek out talented dancers and hone their natural abilities while at the same time find them work in entertainment. The term “fusion” and in our case “Fuzion” is the melding of two different dance styles into one. Such as ballet and hip-hop, krump and modern and so on and so forth to produce a new form of dance.

With any business money is always a topic, how will one make it and if there is a chance of growth. Our company will make its money by teaching advance, intermediate and master classes. Aside from being a dance school we are also a talent agency for the dancers. We will provide leads and help find jobs and get 10% of our client’s commissions. Now to be in the dance school, one does not have to be a client. Only those in master level classes will

be granted that opportunity.

With dance schools and talent agencies there are some heavy hitters out there. One major one that is constantly in the news is The Millennium Dance Complex in

Los Angeles, California. That has trained dancers for Britney Spears,Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Lady GaGa to name a few.

The next is Clear Talent Group, they have offices in New York and Los Angeles. They represent talented artist in all realms of entertainment and not just dance, so they are a force to be reckoned

Bloc Talent Agency is the next in line with offices in Los Angeles, New York and Atlanta. They represent not only dancers but also chorographers and extreme sports athletes as well. Since they have offices in major cities in the US, they are sure not to miss an opportunity to find hidden talent.

Finally there is McDonald Selznick and Associates (MSA) the leading agency in the United States has offices located in New York and Los Angeles. They represent dancers, chorographers, stage

directors and production designers. Their clients

The ideal market for such talent falls into the ranges of females ages 18- 25 and males ages 21-25. These young adults have a passion for dance and are willing to learn the next big move to make them the next big thing.

We are back once again. This time with some news. The ever popular show So You Think You Can Dance is returning for its 7th seasons this summer. This season will have a few twists and turns that will leave everyone on the edge of their seats.Here is a brief intro taken from the SYTYCD website......

"Twelve former SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE show favorites are set to return to summer’s No. 1 series as All-Star Dance Partners. Skilled in various dance styles from Krump to Contemporary, the Season Seven All-Star Dance Partners are: Stephen tWitch Boss, Comfort Fedoke, Courtney Galiano, Anya Garnis, Lauren Gottlieb, Neil Haskell, Allison Holker, Mark Kanemura, Pasha Kovalev, Kathryn McCormick, Ade Obayomi and Dominic Sandoval. Each week, finalists will be partnered with a different All-Star dancer."

Another popular show in the dance world is America's Best Dance Crew. They just recently wrapped up their 5th season with audience favorite Poreotix taking home the win. For those who don't know who or what America's Best Dance Crew is needs to get up from under that rock. Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew is the first televised competition for full hip-hop crews, rather than individual performers. Mario Lopez hosts, alongside a panel of judges which include J.C. Chasez from boy band *NSYNC, all star choreographer Shane Sparks, and hip-pop artist Lil Mama. In the end, only one crew becomes the best of the best on the dance floor and wins a cash prize and touring contract.

These are the two main dance shows out there today that showcases what America's dance talent has to offer. These individuals and at times groups/crews have honed their talents and craft for many years. The process to be on these shows like any reality show involves the audition process. Auditions are held all over the United States only the best can make the cut.

Some may ask what type of people enjoy dance, and more importantly this genre of dance. In the next entry I will take a look at the different demographics that answers that very question
