Result: 4th,

The past couple weeks leading up to the final GNCC seemed to take forever. After putting in two wins and a 3rd after the break I had boosted my lead in the Championship to around 23 points. So at the final round I needed to play it safe and finish inside the top 13 to claim the title.

With the wave of the green flag the final GNCC of 2009 was underway. Off the start I avoided any pile ups in the first turn and was mid pack through the first lap. There was a lot of lead changes with plenty of line options as the track had been churned up by the 500 odd morning race entrants. I began to move up toward the leaders and was in touch with the lead group when I bounced off Thad Duvall pretty hard when our different lines merged. This made me nervous as I didn't want the title chase to end right there with a damaged bike. So I backed it down some more and stopped taking any risks. I found it hard to ride at the reduced pace and ended up riding bad and making a lot of mistakes. The mud holes were getting bad but the spectators and team personnel in their bright yellow GEICO shirts kept me on the straight and narrow.

At the fuel stop I was informed I was doing exactly what was needed to take the title and keep it up. Late in the race I ended up riding with Kallib Russell and began to ride better as we pushed each other along. I ended up moving up to 4th in class by the end of the race. Securing the GNCC Championship, Job Done, Mission Accomplished. Crossing the line was an amazing feeling. Lost for words, relieved, excited and so, so happy. Surrounded by the team and supporters and getting a big emotional hug from Katherine. Awesome.

Winning the title has been a life long dream of mine but a lot of people have helped me get to the final step. Too many to mention here but I have to thank some of the major ones. Katherine for believing in me and supporting me 100% of the way. The JG Off road team, JT and Gretchen. Mark for all his work behind the scene. My mechanic Scotty and also Monty for their hard work. All the great sponsors, both personal and team. Our two Mums for coming over to see what we do.

Also in the years leading up to this point, all the people who have helped me and have shared their experience. Scott Summers and Fred Bramblet for giving me the opportunity to come to America and race. The teams in the WEC that taught me a lot, Husqvarna, Gas Gas and Paul Edmondsons' Honda team. G2 Throttle Vs. Motion Pro Review

G2 Ergonomics has had the G2 Throttle Cam System on the market for over 5 years. The system allows riders to change cams based on riding conditions or preference.

Motion Pro recently introduced a throttle kit (curiously similar G2 Throttle Cam System) known as the Motion Pro Revolver.

I wanted to give you guys here at Thumpertalk a real rider review on the G2 Ergonomics Throttle Cam System and the Motion Pro Revolver Throttle System. There has been some talk about these systems on this forum but a few guys are putting them down without even trying them. Both systems work well and here I’m going to tell you what stands out between the two products and what doesn’t at all, from my own point of view.

G2 Ergonomics Rider Henry Wiles Wins Again

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (May 24, 2009) - AMA Pro Racing Flat Track is back under way with Round three of the 2009 Grand National Singles Championship being held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena. Once again the Illinois Motorcycle Dealers Association built a unique TT track to test the skills of the AMA Pro stars.

Since September 2007 they have not been able to come up with a configuration to stop Henry Wiles as he powered his Kawasaki USA / Lance & Ronnie Jones backed Kawasaki to his fourth consecutive win, two short tracks and now two TT's.

Wiles had to be the pre race favorite as he set fast time in qualifying and followed that up with a dominating heat race win posting a time over six seconds faster than the other two heats.
When the green light flashed for the start of the twenty five lap National Wiles charged to the front. But Memphis Shades / Parts Unlimited's JR Schnabel was hot on his trail and when Wiles slipped wide in turn two Schnabel pounced on the slight miscue.

Defending Singles Champion Jake Johnson, making his first ride aboard the SuperTrapp's / Tucker Rocky Honda was in third with Pro Honda Oil / Rogers Lake Racing's Jared Mees and the Halbert brothers Jethro (Zanotti Racing / Motorex) and Sammy (Halbert Family Race Team) dueling over fourth.
At the start of lap five Jethro Halbert bit the dust in turn two, bringing out the red flag. When the race restarted Wiles grabbed the lead back and it looked like he would take full advantage of his second chance, bit Schnabel was not done and he retook the lead on lap nine.

Schnabel looked like he was ready to take control and notch his seventh win at this facility, but on lap seventeen Wiles reached into his bag of tricks and retook the lead. Sammy Halbert had made the most of the restart, settling into third a position he would hold all the way to the end. Jake Johnson did likewise in fourth.

Bubba Stewart takes back the title in Vegas

James "Bubba" Stewart although placing third at the 2009 Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Las Vegas had enough points to capture the Supercross World Championship crown.

James Stewart is a user and big fan of the G2 Ergonomics Quick-turn Throttle Tube since joining L&M Yamaha this year.

G2 Ain't Gatorade But It Will Quench Your Thirst for Excitement

G2 Gatorade is a drink that came out around the Superbowl last year. It tastes OK. It's a lighter version of the original Gatorade. Interestingly enough, their logo looks awfully familiar.... NOW I'm thirsty.

Enter G2 Ergonomics... the original thirst quencher- never watered down. For over five years they have been innovating motorcycle and ATV products that rise above the competition. Their customers can't be happier.

Take their flagship product, the Throttle Cam System (TCS). It has different interchangeable cams for different riding conditions on a beautifully crafted aluminum tube. The system allows riders to quickly change out the cams based on the terrain they will be riding in. Now I'm getting excited...

A common complaint from Harley Davidson riders is that they have to strain their wrist to get full throttle. This is due to the nature of the stock throttles put out by Harley Davidson. Harley riders haven't caught on to these much yet, but when they do - they are in for a pleasant surprise.

It has the feel of a ball bearing throttle tube, but it is far superior. Ball bearings rust and freeze-up after a few washings - so they must be constantly cleaned and lubricated. The Delrin model will not rust or corrode.

G2 Ergonomics now offers Delrin inserts on all of their throttle tubes and throttle cam systems. Delrin is a lightweight, low-friction, and wear-resistant thermoplastic with good physical and processing properties and capable of operating in temperatures in excess of 90 degrees celsius (approximately 200 degrees fahrenheit).

The G2 “Delrin models” have Delrin bushings inserted in both ends of tube. This eliminates any aluminum-to-aluminum contact. It has the feel of a ball bearing throttle tube, but it is far superior. Ball bearings rust and “freeze-up” after a few washings - so they must be constantly cleaned and lubricated. Our Delrin model will not rust or corrode. This is the system used my Mike Lafferty, Grant Langston and the Yamaha Supermoto team, to name a few.

Harley Davidson Quick-Turn Throttles and Grips by G2 Ergonomics
G2 Ergonomics has a new product that is surely to turn heads and put smiles on a lot of Harley Davidson riders faces. The new Harley Quick-Turn throttle tubes and grips from G2 is something that a lot of riders just don't know about.

What it does...
If you ever rode a Harley you will know that you sometimes have to really crank on the stock throttle or re-grip it to get full power. Mike Lafferty signs with G2!

After extensive testing last fall, 8 time national enduro champion Mike Lafferty (at right next to 8 time national enduro champion and G2 rider Dick Burleson) has been using the G2 Ergonomics throttle cam system. Mike has been riding a 450 and prefers the 300 cam for most situations (same as Langston), but does switch to the 400 cam for muddy conditions.
We're interested in comments from other KTM450 riders who have are using our system. What cam/s are you using for which conditions?
