Open terminal in your ubutu-box and type:

1. sudo apt-get install openssh-client

2. ssh-keygen -t rsa ( to create dsa key,

type ssh-keygen -t dsa)

3. When prompted, press Enter to accept the default file name for your key. Check the path where the key is stored or else define the path yourself.

4. Press Enter to confirm a password to protect your SSH key.

Your key pair is stored in ~/.ssh/ (or the path you've mentioned) as id_rsa.pub (public key) and id_rsa (private key)

5. Open the id_rsa.pub in any text editor, and copy the contents

6. Now , open https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+editsshkeys to paste your copied SSH key in the text box provided in the page.

7. Click on "Import public key" button to continue.

Your SSH key is now saved. You will also get a mail for the change is ssh key to your mail box which is registered with the Launchpad.

On the same page you can remove your SSH key and can add new one.

Just select the key to remove and click on "Remove"

How to save your Mobile Battery

You must be worrying about the drainage of your mobile battery and must be thinking..what is wrong with this battery and why it does not last longer.
I can provide few simple extra tricks or rather Tips to save your mobile battery
Here they are:

1. First would be "Switching off your Mobile" ..LOL
This would definitely save your battery. Dont take this in other way, what I meant is, switch off your mobile when you know that you are not going to make / answer any call or you dont want to use your mobile. When you know you will be in "No network" coverage area, there is no point keeping to mobile phone ON. Your phone will continue to search for network and loose all of its power in searching a Network coverage.

2. Do not Vibrate:
When someone calls to you, your phone will Ring as well as Vibrate. Here your Phone's Speaker as well as the Phones Vibrating motor will consume the battery together. So to save some battery life you can turn of the vibration mode of the mobile and if possible keeping the Ring Volume low such that you can listen the ring if someone calls.

3. Turn off the Bluetooth and Wifi:
If your phone supports Bluetooth or Wifi or Both, switch them Off. If any of these services are running that will loose huge amount of battery power. There are other features like GPS, Infrared (though Obsolete :) ) should also be turned off to save power.

4. If the mobile phone support Brightness feature, keep it too the lowest possible. Because your screen is also a huge consumer of battery.

5. If you have Screen saver or animated image as a wallpaper, change it some dark colored image. Animated background can also drain your battery faster

6. Remember the Golden Rule: Full Charge and Full Discharge
Dont put your mobile on charging when its having some power enough to last for next few hours (do this when your charger is handy)
And when it is charging let it charge it too full.
NOTE: Avoid full discharging of a lithium-ion battery
Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries' life is shortened when you fully discharge them. Instead, charge them when the battery meter shows one bar left. Lithium-ion batteries, like most rechargeable batteries, have a set number of charges in them.

7. To make your battery last longer, always keep it in cool place.

8. And Remember, do not use faulty Chargers, if the charger is faulty or broken, it may lead to make your battery faulty as well.

Upload your mp3 file to any upload site from where it can be easily accessed.

Issue with Blogger .com is that it wont allow you to upload any mp3 files to its site ..That Implies you need to store the files to some other place. Where to upload..I am leaving it up to you :)

Better place would be GoogleSites

Copy the URL of mp3 file Right click the ‘download’ link and click on ‘Copy link location’
In Notepad, paste the URL and delete everything that comes after ".mp3"

Now the important part is how to Embed the Mp3 to you blogger/website .

To make this happen, we need an embed player which require a little piece of code.

While writing the blog you must have came accross the ‘Edit HTML’ tab.
Go there and copy the following code:

In the above given lines of code , replace URL with your file’s URL.

Use the above code in the website where you need the player to appear

Freeing RAM in Windows OS using NOTEPAD

RAM is Random Access Memory which is utilized by your OS to run the processes. But sometimes even after ending/exiting the process the memory is not freed. And once all the memory is consumed and not freed at all the OS gets Hanged. And you must be knowing about CTRL+ALT+DEL :D

So here we go, it is simple trick to free the RAM f
You just need one thing i.e Notepad

1. Open Notepad
2. Type

FreeMem=Space(1280000000)

3. Save the file with name as “CleanRAM.vbs” on desktop

Note: Remember to type the name of the file along with inverted commas so that the file's extension will be vbs

Whenever required , double click the file to run.
You can change the 1280000000 to 2560000000 or 5120000000 as per your need

What exactly is an “Easter egg”?

In the software/computing industry, an Easter egg is not an actual painted egg that kids are supposed to hunt, but it is something “virtual” that exists within a program, video game / software that can be found or accessed only through a set of special codes.

Such virtual Easter eggs come in the form of a hidden message, or an “in-joke” often created by the software programmers.

Atari’s 1979 video game called Adventure is widely considered as the first software ever to contain such a virtual “Easter egg.”

1. Google

Google’s Built-in Calculator:
Google has very intelligent calculator in the search bar. Just give some calculations and answer will be in front of you. It also has a unit conversion feature that allows the user to convert from one system of measurement to another (such as from kilometers to miles). You can even use it to solve complex calculations, such as this one (4*10+(sqrt 3)^3).

Google calculator is that you can also ask it direct word-based questions, as if one would ask some know-it-all.

For example, you can ask it “what’s the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything,” for which the answer is 42, and is actually a reference to the late British author Douglas Adams’ book, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Google Homepage Easter Eggs

Google Easter eggs you can find (and have fun with) on the search engine’s homepage. Such Easter eggs are simply accessible when you type a particular word or phrase in the search bar. The following are just some of my favorite Google Easter eggs.
Wordplay
Google loves wordplay, and it has a number of Easter eggs doing this. If you are having a hard time reading the text on the page, try using an actual mirror. May be you will solve the mystery :D.

How to Enable Group Policy in Windows 7
By default if you found that Group policy (that can be accessed by typing "gpedit.msc" in the Run Dialog box) is not available . Following is the easy way to enable it.

Download the Patch
UnZip/Unrar it
Install the Exe file.
Go to Run dialog box (Type Win key +R)
Type "gpedit.msc" without quotes.

Note for Windows 7 users on 64bits
You will have to go to "SysWOW64" folder present in C:\Windows folder and have to copy "GroupPolicy", "GroupPolicyUsers" folders and "gpedit.msc" file to "C:\Windows\System32" folder.

Few times you will find that your gadget options are disabled so as to enable the Windows Gadgetsin Windows 7, following is the shortcut.

Goto Control Panel

Select "Program & Features"

In the left pane click "Turn Windows Feature on or off"

Wait to generate the list

To turn on the Feature, select its check box and to disable the feature the clear its check box.

So, to enable the Gadgets check the "Windows Gadget Platform" option

And its Done.

Go to Desktop, Right Click, your Gadgets option will be back if you have enabled it.

Windows XP Installation in 10 minutes

This trick is for those who still use Windows XP and prefer installation on there own.
Now onwards, it will take very little time to install Windows XP for which you guys earlier used to take around 40 minutes.
So the process goes like this,

First Boot up using XP Bootable CD.
After loading all the boot files, you will be asked to do partitioning.
After the partioning installation process will start which will install all the necessary files that windows XP requires.
Next, you will be asked to restart the computer.
Here, our Geek Trick comes into picture. Now instead of waiting for 40 minutes for installation you can do it in 10 minutes.

Once restart is done, you will see the screen which will tell you the estimated time to finish will be 40 minutes.
Press "SHIFT+F10" which will lead you to command prompt.
Type "taskmgr" (without quotes)
This will open TaskManager.
Now right click on "Setup.exe" process. Set the Priority to HIGH.

And its done!!!
You will find that estimated time of installation will be 10 minutes.
