Sunspot 1402 erupted again today at 03:59 UT, hurling an even bigger M3.9 CME towards earth. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory pictured the instense ultra-violet flash of the flare.

The Wellington Island in question is in Chile, South America. A second report from Russia wrongly located it in Brazil.
