The International Executives sub-group of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group has produced its second video podcast with Lubetkin Global Communications, on “Developing Dynamic Global Partnerships.” You can watch the presentation by Janice Giannini of Paradigm Associates LLC in the player below.

Janice’s topic, “Developing Dynamic Global Partnerships,” led to a very robust discussion among the members present. It’s also a very appropriate topic in our much wired and increasingly shrinking home planet. Participants also discussed the challenges that organizations face when they need to work on projects with disparate cultural teams.

We also talked about how building relationships with globally positioned partners, vendors, service providers and employees poses significant cultural challenges that organizations must resolve to be competitive on a global scale.

Leadership transitions are some of the toughest challenges people face. Nearly half of new leaders fail in their first 18 months. Often, failure is the result of crucial mistakes made in the very beginning that can be devastating for organizations and leaders alike. And make no mistake about it – anyone that thinks the next 100-days will be like the last 100-days is in for a terrible surprise. This is why we’re all new leaders all the time.

The International Executives Subgroup of the Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group has produced its first video podcast, featuring a March 22, 2011 presentation on effective onboarding for new executives, by George Bradt, managing director of PrimeGenesis, a human resources consultancy.

The program, “The New Leader’s Playbook: Getting Better Results Faster,” is available at no cost in the video player below.

George Bradt has a unique perspective on transformational leadership based on his combined senior line management and consulting experience. He progressed through sales, marketing and general management, literally around the world, at companies including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, and J.D. Power’s Power Information Network spin off as chief executive. Now he is a Principal of CEO Connection and Managing Director of PrimeGenesis, the leading executive onboarding and transition acceleration group he founded in 2002. For more information, click the video on the PrimeGenesis home page (www.primegenesis.com).

George was educated at Harvard and Wharton (MBA) and is co-author of three books on onboarding published by John Wiley & Sons: The New Leader’s 100-Day Action Plan, Onboarding, and The Total Onboarding Program, as well as writing the “New Leader’s Playbook” weekly column for Forbes (check it out at http://blogs.forbes.com/georgebradt/).
