IE-6 (pronounced as Internet Explorer version 6) is a last-generation browser, old browser. Released on August 27, 2001 and no longer maintained by Microsoft since its released. Because of that this browser has too much bugs and serious problems in modern browser era right now.

For many web developers, continued support of IE 6 means that they can't optimize their interfaces or provide an enhanced customer experience in their apps. Supporting IE 6 means slower progress, less progress, and, in some places, no progress. View Status Updates of Specific Circles in Google Plus

One more plus of Google Plus compared with Facebook is you get the privilege to view status updates (or we called it Streams) from only certain group of people (circles) you decided.

This feature is really useful if you have so many friends and your stream flooding by unimportant status so you can easily divide your stream to just showing updates from specific person you like.

Lets see how to view streams of specific circles in Google+.

First, log into your Google Plus account. On your homepage, as default, you will view all the updates by people who are in all your circles.

Under the "Stream" link in the left pane, click the circle whose updates you want to view in your homepage and immediately your desired action will be performed. In this example, I clicked on "Friends" circle:

You can put one or few people in your specific circle so that you can follow their status "privately". Isn't this utility really Good?

Recently I have posted about "How to Create Google Plus Profile Button?" for general use.

Now, in this post we will learn the example of how to display google plus profile button in Blogger.com's blog so that your blogger friends can adding you into their Google+ circles and follow your stream.

Let's start the tutorial..

First of all you will need to get your Google Plus profile button code in HTML format.

After that you will need to log into your Blogger.com account and then go to the Design tab section of your blog.

In the Design section make sure you are keep in the Page Elements sub-section.

Click Add a Gadget Link in your Blogs Sidebar. Under Basics tab, select HTML/Javascript.

Copy and paste your Google Plus Profile button code from this post in the Content text box and click Save.

You're done! See the result on your sidebar blog.

How to Get Direct Link of Status Updates in Google Plus

But the problem is, where you can get direct link address of status updates in Google Plus?

Unlike another social networking like Facebook or Twitter which the direct links to these specific updates are almost "hidden", Google+ is more "open" about it.

Let me show you how to get direct link of status updates in Google Plus in simple way:

Log into your Google Plus account – On your homepage you will find all the status updates of those who are in your circles. Now on the status update that you want to link – click the drop down icon on the right hand side of that update and click Link to this post.

Immediately that status update will open in a new window – Now you can copy its direct link from the URL bar of your web browser.

Share Updates with Specific Circles in Google Plus

If in Facebook we know something called "News Feed", then in Google Plus we called it "Stream". Where all the latest updates by those who are in your circle are displayed in this area.

If we talk about privacy control, then as when you post status updates in Facebook you get a Privacy Lock with the use of which you can define with whom you are comfortable in sharing those update.

Similar in Google Plus, if you want to make control your share stream with people whom only you want, you can do it very easy in Google Plus. But with one advantage: you are allowed to share these updates with many people at once and without the effort of creating those lists and groups. Sounds good right?

Here is how you do it:

Step 1: Log in to your Google+ account.

Step 2: As usual, in the update box write whatever you want to update.

Step 3: Click "+Add Circles or people to share with" link.

Step 4: Choose the circles with whom you want to share your update.

Step 5: To add another circles, just click "+Add more people" link.

Step 6: When you're done click "Share".

Note: If you want to share this post to your friends who have not join Google+ yet, you can just typing their email addresses. Enjoy!

How to Delete Google Plus Account?

I'm not hoping you will close and delete your Google+ account, of course. But, if you are because of some reasons, that's your choice and in this post I just want to show you how to do that.

For some people this topic may not sound very much interesting and attractive but believe me it is really important. Google Plus is so much integrated into other services of Google like Gmail and Google Search, so deleting your Google+ account may affect these services too but won't straight off close that services unless you also choose that option too.

In order to delete your Google Plus account we will proceed step by step. After logging into your Google+ account, from the top right corner click on your avatar then select Account settings:

Scroll down your mouse there you will see 2 links in the Services section:

Delete profile and remove associated social features – If you click this link, you will be taken to a page where you will again get 2 options to delete your Google Plus account.

Delete Google+ Content – By selecting this option, you will delete only your Google+ account and other major integrated services like Buzz remain unaffected.
Delete your Entire Google Profile – This option will lead you to deletion of your Google Plus Profile, Buzz account and your Public Google Profile.

Close account and delete all services and info associated with it – If you select this option when deleting Google Plus account then you are choosing to close your complete Google account. All the services like Gmail, Google AdSense, Orkut, FeedBurner, Google Alerts, Google Docs, YouTube and others will also get deleted.

So if you want to delete only your Google+ account then select Delete profile and remove associated social features and choose just delete its content or entire profile.

But if you no longer want to use any Google services, click on Close account and delete all services and info associated with it.

Be careful with your option. Good luck!

I don't want call it lacks but even as new comer in social networking, Google+ has shown its quality, still I think they must improve some edges to make it better and be the best than other competitors.

Luckily Google's Senior VP Vic Gundotra also have the same spirit to make Google+ better. He assured all users that the feedbacks they receive help make the necessary changes for a better experience. Absolutely we don't G+ like Facebook which never truly quick in addressing issues concerning their site, we have high hopes for Google+ to make it true.

How to Stop Google Plus Notifications?

Google will send you an e-mail or SMS notification for every activities on your G+ account. So if you had lots of active users in your Google+ Circles, it mights will flooding your e-mail inbox or make peoples arround you disturbed by your cellphone's ring.

By default Google Plus enable email notification for all users and sending email if your account have any changes like post sharing, comments on posts, photo tagging and so on. This post will tell you how you can stop e-mail and SMS notification from Google Plus. You can easily stop these email notification using these simple steps.

Steps to Stop Google Plus E-mail and SMS Notification

Step 1: Login to your Google+ account.

Step 2: Click the gear icon in the upper-right next to your avatar and select Google+ settings. Or you can directly access this URL.

Step 3: Scroll down your browser then you can see there all e-mail and/or SMS notification settings. For remove any types of these notification just mark untick little boxes.

Step 4: When you select or deselect any option you'll see "Notification preferences updated" yellow box at the top of page. And you're done!

Disable-Enable Comments on Google Plus Posts

In some of my previous posts I've already told you that Google+ provides many privacy settings in your account to protects their users. And unlike Facebook, Google+ account settings is very easy and simple to understand. My last post about this was on how to disable/enable reshare on Google+.

And now, I will tell you one more privacy settings in Google Plus. After read this post, you can disable or enable comments on any posts of your stream. Unfortunately until now there's no way to disable/enable comments for all posts together in one single click. Hope in the next update Google will launch this feature.

Let's begin!

Disable Comments on Google Plus Posts

Step 1: Log in to your Google+ account.

Step 2: Find which post you want to disable its comments. You can see it on your Stream although Profile page is more simple to find it. Just click on menu tab:

Step 3: Now you can see one small inverted triangle icon at the top right side of post. Click on it for expand.

Step 4: After expand this button click on Disable comments option to stop allowing comments from your friends on your selected post.

Now your friends will no longer can post their comments on your post and the "Comment" link disappear.

Enable Comments on Google Plus Posts

To revert it back, just do the same thing. Click on the small inverted triangle and click on Enable comments, then the "Comment" link will appear again.

Google Plus Widget: Put Circles & Live Feed on Web

In last couple weeks, you can see I have added a section named "Circles" in the right sidebar of this blog. This section contain an invitation to join into my Circles in Google+ and also showed summary of my friends in the circles.

This is a sweet customizable Google+ widget made by a guy called Chris Kanger. You can also add this Google+ widget to your website or blog which will make it easy for your site visitors to add you to their circles so you can build your relationship with them.

How to Delete Posts From Google Plus Stream?

Until today I published more than 60 posts on Google Plus so that my visitors can use all features of Google Plus without any prob. Not only the posts that contain serious things, I also write about simple things that are sometimes reputed by some people does not important to discuss.

But I believe there are many novice users that came to my blog to find something they need to know. And I should give them what they need using simple explanation that can be understand by them.

Just like this post. As advanced users, maybe you don't need this information but please let me explain for our another friend who still need to know how to delete posts from Google Plus. Or if someday -for some reason- you forgot how to do this, it is always still be a good point :D

Now, follow these steps below of how to remove posts from Google Plus stream/wall:

Step 1: Login with your Google Plus account and find which post you want to delete.

Step 2: Now you can see one small inverted triangle on the post right side of Title. Click on it for expand.

Step 3: Click on "Delete this post" option for remove posts from Google Plus wall.

Step 4: Google will ask for your confirmation. Click on Delete blue button for permanently remove posts from your Google Plus wall.

Unlike Facebook, Google+ allowing its users to upload animated gif images. Probably Google thinking the users would use it to have fun and use it for wisely.

Yes, users are having fun bitching about rival Facebook and sharing Facebook slap images. But for peoples with slow connection of internet its like a nightmare. Because Google Plus takes huge times to load those images in browser.

How to Block Persons on Google Plus?

Google+ allows you to remove or block any persons from your post wall to protect your privacy from specified users.

You can easily use this feature for any reason you want. And once you blocked someone from your stream, you should know what will happens:

You won't see their content in the stream or on Incoming (even though you'll remain in their circles).
They'll be removed from any circles of yours that they appear in.
They'll be removed from your extended circles even if you have mutual connections.
They won't be able to comment on your content that was posted after they were blocked.
The content you've previously shared with them will still be visible in their stream. But they can't engage with the post (comment, etc.)
They won't be able to view content shared with your circles (although they may still see content you post publicly).
They won't be able to mention you in posts or comments.

There are -at least- five methods I know to block someone on Google Plus. I'll show you how to make it step by step:

First Method: Block from Google Plus Stream

Login to your Google+ account.
Go to the Stream by clicking on Home button from tab menu.

Now you can see one small reverse triangle in every posts from person who want to block. Click on it for expand.

After click on the triangle button select Block this person.

Next you will see opened window for confirmation. Click on Block blue button for confirm.

Finally you'll see yellow box confirmed you've blocked this person and you can adding report to Google+ about this person activities by clicking on Also report this person link.

Click Unblock if you want to cancel.

Second Method: Block from Google Plus Profile page

Login to your Google+ account then go to their profile page.
On the left side of the profile click Block [person's name].

Confirm that you want to block that person on blue button. Or you can also report the person by clicking on Report and block this person.
You'll see Blocked grey button at upper right when you success.

Hover to that button if you want to unblock the person.

Third Method: Block from Google Plus Circles

Login to your Google+ account.
Go to the Circles by clicking on Circles button from tab menu.

Select the person you want to block, then click on More actions menu link on upper right and click Block.

Confirm to block the person.
Click View blocked to see anyone in your blocked list.

Four Method: Block from Google Plus Notifications

Login to your Google+ account.
Watch your Notifications section and there you can simply click on Block option.

Five Method: Block from E-mail

This method will work only if you activated "Circles notification" from this page. This notification will send you an e-mail each time people adding you their Circles.
To block persons from this e-mail, just open your inbox then click on block link provided.

How to Disable/Enable Reshare on Google Plus Posts

In Google+ you can share any awesome posts from your Stream for your friends circle. You can use this option easily to distribute any good posts you liked over circles.

If you are a blogger then it most important feature for you because it can improves your blog visitors and everyone knows that social media play important role in website or blog success.

But sometime we want some post private only on our wall. And don't worry, that issue has been solved by Google also. You can use Disable reshare option feature in Google Plus. Of course you won't find this feature in Facebook (lol).

How to Disable Reshare of Posts on Google Plus?

Step 1: Login to your Google+ account.
Step 2: Find your post which want to disable from Stream or your Profile page.
Step 3: Click on "inverted triangle" exactly on the right of your each status.

Step 4: Choose Disable reshare option.

After click on "Disable reshare" option you protects your posts from share on circles.

How to Enable Reshare of Posts on Google Plus?

Enable reshare is same process like disable. You can again enable reshare from the same place, just click on same small triangle and click on Enable reshare option.

Google has launched the +1 button for websites in June, 2011. As we already know that Google +1 (pronounced "plus one") is a recommendation button similar to Facebook Like button, making it easier to recommend content across the web.

Enthuasiasm of its users to use Google +1 button on their website/blog was very high. Even Google released a report that in July, the +1 button crossed 2 billion daily views. And today the +1 button appears on more than a million sites, with over 4 billion daily views! Absolutely they are extremely excited about this momentum.

To get more satisfactions of their users, they're launching two more features that make +1 buttons more useful for users and publishers alike: Sharing and +Snippets.

Let's discuss more about this new features:

1. Sharing

This "Sharing" feature mean that you can share webpages with your circles on Google+ directly through any websites who has sets Google +1 button on their website/blog. Just +1 a page as usual and look for the new "Share on Google+" option. From there you can comment, choose a circle and share.

2. +Snippets

When you share content from the +1 button, Google will notice that they automatically include a link, an image and a description in the sharebox. They call these "+snippets", and its a great way to jumpstart conversations with the people you care about.

Of course: publishers can benefit from +snippets as well. With just a few changes to their webpages, publishers can actually customize their +snippets and encourage more sharing of their content on Google+.

Beware of Google Plus Fake Sign Up Page!

I have not yet find any reports if there have been victims of hackers who stolen Google's username & password caused by phishing techniques. But I've found a blog that discusses how to create phishing pages for Google Plus sign up. And I will not share here the website address for security reasons.

The method of this technique is sending you an e-mail of invitation Google Plus having a link for the Google Plus sign up page. But that link has been replaced with their own fake Google Plus page, and as soon as you login from that page to create Google+ account, they will get your mail id and password.

As you know in my previous post that this situations caused by Google+ invitation-only system which exploited by some peoples who are not responsible. They are using Google+ hysteria to hijack Google account of novice users by sending a Google Plus invitation. It is a crime!

Here are some tips to avoid the hijackers:

Everytime you received an email, please make sure the sender e-mail address is from noreply-...@plus.google.com.

But, it's not enough. Because for hackers, it's so easy to change the sender mail address to looks like using Google+ domain. So the second things, you should look at the link behind "Join Google+" red button. Just hover on it and see in your bottom bar. If it came from https://plus.google.com/_/notifications/emlink?emrecipient... you can trust it.

After you clicked on that link, please re-check on the address bar it's still using Google's secure domain: https://www.google.com/... and not the others like http://xxx.tk/ or http://xxx.co.cc/ etc.

The invitation might not always through your e-mail. Its also can sent using direct link. So if somebody give you an invitation link, be sure its using the prefix:
https://plus.google.com/_/notifications/ngemlink?path=...

One more thing, to avoid this hijackers please always check the URL of the site which asks you to login with your Google, Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo or other online accounts. Remember that if the site is legitimate, they will use the API and never ask for your username or password in the first place.

In some cases you also can see that the web address of a site is different and not a part of the host service, so there is a high chance that you are being targeted by a hijacker or spammer. Using suspicious third party sites was another way for hijackers get control to your account.

How to Send Google Plus Invitation?

It is almost 2 months after Google released Google+ with invitation only system and millions user already joined there. But, I don't know what happen with some of my friends that still asking me how to send Google Plus invitation to their friends?

But it's ok, in this tutorial we will discuss about 2 (two) various ways through which you can send invitations to your friends or contacts through Google Plus. Below tutorials are the basic of how to send Google+ invitation. Because there are more several ways to invite your friends based on different e-mail service provider protocols. If you think it's necessary to discuss, I'll show you in next posts.

Lets begin with the tutorial!

As I have already written a lot of tutorials about Google Plus, all you have to do first is of course log in to your Google+ account. Click here to log in, then follow these steps below:

1. Send Google Plus Invitations via Invite Friends Button

From your "Home" page in Google Plus account, you'll see "Invite Friends" buttons in the middle right side.

Click on it and type all e-mail address of your friends want to invite.

After sent, now you can hover your mouse at "Add to circles" links for add these new friends into your circle like in Friends, Family or other.

2. Send Google Plus Invitations via Circles

To jump to your "Circles" page, click on Circles menu tab as shown below:

In the Circles aection – click the empty box "Add a new person":

Over there type the e-mail address of the person you want to invite and press enter:

After pressing enter, you will have to write the name of the contact (if applicable) and add him to a circle (or create a new one), then click Save:

Then you will immediately see a bar appearing at the bottom, asking that whether you want to invite the newly added contact to Google+ or not. Click "Invite [User Name] to Google+" green button.

A new console will open that will ask you whether you want to add additional contact to send invite or not. If yes, then you can also add other people to whom you want to send invitations by clicking +Add more people link or you can just click Invite Button to only invite the person you added in the last step.

Invites sent! Click Done.

After all steps above, immediately Google Plus will send an invitation to your friends. Below is a screenshot of the invitation:
