Hello,

This is Dana Williams from the Women's Walk 194...I am emailing to ask for prayers for an amazing man that sponsored my father on a walk and in turn my father sponsored me. This man's name is Donald Williams, he is one of my fathers cousins and has been fighting cancer for several years...this past week it was determined that it had spread to his brain. He has been in hospice since Friday. I am forwarding on this information to ask for prayers for his wife and 8 children and several grandchildren that he leaves as he makes his way to heaven. I ask for strength for the family as watching a loved one slowely pass is very difficult...

Donald is an all loving, all joyous, one overflowing of smiles, with contagious happiness and a man so full of Love and Living Life for Jesus Christ that all whom he meets he wants to tell you about his Savior.

Chrysalis

Dear Emmaus Communities,

Just a friendly reminder that we will be having a Chrysalis in July.

The Chrysalis is for High Girls from 15 (must have finished their freshman year) to 18 years old and Young Adult Women from 19 to 24 years of age. The date for the Chrysalis is July 10-13, 2008 and will be held at the Waka Christian Retreat Center. The cost to attend is $125.00.

We are a little under a month away from the Chrysalis and we only have two applications. If you have a young lady or women who will be attending but have not yet sent in their application, please do as soon as possible; and if you need an application or have questions, please call me at 806-467-8375 (home) or 806-533-1280 (work). You may also e-mail me at flywithchrist@amaonline.com.

I would also like to say thank you to the Emmaus Communities for their support and prayers.

Dear Emmaus and Chrysalis Communities,

There will be 15 young ladies attending Chrysalis #103 this weekend at the High Plains Baptist Encampment. We would like to invite the community to please be in prayer for the Caterpillars (Pilgrims) and the team throughout the weekend.

We would also like to ask each Community to help us fill up the Chapel for the Candle Light Service on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. The girls will be coming in about 9:15 p.m.
Thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at the Candle Light Service.

Dear Communties,

I wanted to remind everyone of the upcoming Chrysalis on March 20-23,2008 at the High Plains Baptist Encampment. The Chrysalis is for HighSchool Girls (15 to 18 yrs old) and Young Adult Women (18 to 24 yrs.old). At this time we only have one confirmed caterpillar (pilgrim).

If you have a High School Girl or Young Adult Woman who is planning on attending, but have not sent in your application or you need a sponsor's application, please call me at 806.467.8375.

Young Adult Women's Chrysalis

Dear Emmaus Communities,

Our next Chrysalis is scheduled for December 27-30, 2007 at the Waka Retreat Center. This Chrysalis is for High School Girls who are in the 12th grade and are 17 to 18 years old and Young Adult Women 19-24 years old. The cost to attend the Chrysalis is $125.00.

We need the Emmaus Communities help in getting this Chrysalis filled.
We have had to cancel two Chrysalises this year due to not having many caterpillars (pilgrams) sign-up to attend. At this time we have 1 young lady signed-up to attend this Chrysalis.

Thanksgiving Chrysalis

Dear Emmaus Communities,

The Golden Spread Chrysalis Community needs your prayers for the
upcoming Chrysalis on November 22-25, 2007 at New Beginnings. At
this time we have 3 confirm caterpillars (pilgrims) who will be
attending the Chrysalis. We need your help in filling the Chrysalis.
We must have at least 9 to 12 signed-up to attend or we will have to
cancel the weekend.

We have extended the deadline to make the decision on whether or not
to cancel the weekend to next Tuesday, November 20, 2007. If you
have an application and have not turned it in yet or do not have an
application but have someone who would like to attend, please call
Tammy Trevino at 806-467-8375 as soon as possible to let her know
that you have someone who would like to attend.

The Chrysalis next weekend is open to High School youth who are 15
(must have finished freshman year) to 18 years old; and young adults
from 19-24 years old from the surrounding areas and communities (TX,
OK, NM, CO).

Friends of Ceta Canyon Dinner

Dear Emmaus Community,

For several years the Golden Spread Walk to Emmaus has been coming to Ceta Canyon Camp & Retreat Center. Many lives have been blessed via the Walk to Emmaus at Ceta Canyon.

Ceta Canyon will be holding the Friends of Ceta Canyon Dinner on November 13th at the Cole Community Center in Canyon TX at 6:30 pm. November Chrysalis

The November Chrysalis is a combined Flight/Journey. Which means both High School Boys (Completed Freshman Year in High School and who are 15 yrs old to 18 years old) and Young Adult Men (18 yrs. of age and graduated from High School to 24 yrs. of age) can attend. The dates are November 22-25, 2007.

At this time, there is only have one application for the November Chrysalis. We need help from the each of the Communties in getting this Chrysalis filled. If we do not at least of 12 in attendance then we will have to cancel.

Prayer Vigil

G'day & De Colores,

At South Sydney / Illawarra Community we are having our Women's Walk #47 from 8-11 November 2007. If you do not already have a prayer partner for your Walk on the same week end could we share our prayer vigils? We are just south of Sydney, Australia, which is 10 hours ahead of GMT. We would carry you through your nights, say from midnight to 6am where it is still day light for us, if you would then carry us through our nights. It is not another vigil. The people who sign to pray for your Walk at a certain time also pray for us during the same time slot, then we ask our people to do the same for you.

Sorry that I am obviously late putting out this request, however if you would like to share prayer in this way could you please let me know ASAP. Our Walk #47 is registered on the www.3dayol.org prayer vigil web site.

North Colorado Prayer Vigil

Your brothers and sisters of North Colorado Emmaus Community are about to conduct Walks #22 (men) and #23 (women) in the first two weeks of October. WE NEED YOUR HELP IN FILL THE 72 HOUR PRAYER VIGIAL. The pilgrims will be marveled to see that others from various Emmaus communities (including their own) have taken time to pray for them.

If you to decide to do so, it is easy to make your choices.

1. On your computer go to northcoloemmaus.org.
2. To the left, Click Volunteer Sign Up.
3. Where it says (Select Walk to pray for): Click to choose a walk. #22 for men and/or #23 for women.
4. Click Submit. After reading the directions and filling in your name and where you are from, check your choices.
5. Click Submit.

Johnny & Pearl Tims

First Baptist, Chickasha, Ok is going to honor our pastor and his wife, Johnny & Pearl Tims on August 26th during the morning service and after the evening service. He celebrated his 50th Anniversary in Ministry in July and they will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Sep 1. We will be presenting them with a scrapbook containing cards and letters from their church family and Emmaus Communities. Both of them went on Walks in the Golden Spread Emmaus Community and have been involved in the Great Plains Community since 1997.
