This review arrives later than originally planned. Between game coverage, livestreams, and editorial responsibilities, I wanted to spend meaningful time with Turtle Beach’s new Command Series KB7 and KP7 before reaching a verdict. Some peripherals reveal everything within a few days. Others benefit from extended use. The KB7 and KP7 fall into the latter category. The moment Turtle Beach announced the Command Series, it immediately caught my attention. I’ve long appreciated the company’s willingness to experiment with new ideas rather than simply chasing trends. In a category crowded with increasingly similar gaming keyboards, the KB7 stood out from the start.

A Hall Effect keyboard featuring a built-in touchscreen is ambitious enough on its own. Pairing it with the modular KP7 keypad creates a hardware ecosystem unlike anything else currently available in the gaming peripheral space.

After several weeks of use across productivity work, content creation, Diablo IV, Marathon, and everyday desktop tasks, Turtle Beach’s vision becomes much clearer. The Command Series is not attempting to be another premium gaming keyboard, it’s aiming to become the centerpiece of your entire setup.

Build Quality & Specifications

The KB7 immediately establishes itself as a premium product. Its aluminum top plate provides excellent rigidity, while the low-profile design keeps the keyboard comfortable during extended gaming sessions. The double-shot PBT keycaps offer a quality feel consistent with the keyboard’s premium positioning, and the illuminated wrist rest adds a subtle visual flourish without becoming distracting.

The centerpiece is the integrated 4.3-inch Command Display. While it may initially appear to be a novelty feature, it quickly becomes one of the keyboard’s defining strengths once integrated into a daily workflow.

The ability to position the KP7 independently, or attach it directly to either side of the KB7, gives users a level of flexibility rarely seen in modern keyboard designs.

Performance

The Hall Effect implementation feels responsive, accurate, and highly customizable. Rapid Trigger performs exactly as expected, while adjustable actuation points allow users to tailor the experience to their preferred genres and playstyles. Marathon proved to be an excellent showcase for the KB7’s competitive strengths. Movement felt immediate, directional inputs remained precise, and the low-profile switches provided a fast, responsive experience throughout extended play sessions.

Over time, the touchscreen evolved from an interesting feature into a genuine productivity tool. Audio controls, application launching, profile switching, system monitoring, and quick-access functions gradually became part of my everyday workflow. What initially felt experimental ultimately became one of the keyboard’s most useful features. Content creators and streamers stand to benefit even more.

OBS controls, media management, Discord integration, Spotify functionality, profile management, and custom layouts are all accessible through the Command Display. There is certainly a learning curve involved, and users will need to invest time configuring the experience to their liking. Those willing to do so may find the KB7 replacing multiple devices typically occupying valuable desk space. The KP7 is equally impressive.

Its compact layout creates additional room for mouse movement while providing easy access to programmable commands, macros, and shortcuts. The thumb controls feel natural, the programmable wheel is genuinely useful, and the overall design lends itself particularly well to FPS and MMO players.

From a value perspective, Turtle Beach has positioned the KB7 aggressively. At $199.99, the keyboard competes directly with several premium Hall Effect offerings. The addition of the KP7 raises the complete package to approximately $300, but it also unlocks functionality that few competing products currently offer.

The biggest obstacle during testing was software. Swarm II occasionally struggled to properly recognize my configured layouts. Firmware updates were inconsistent throughout the review period, with several installation attempts hanging, restarting unexpectedly, or requiring multiple attempts to complete successfully.

These issues never rendered the hardware unusable, but they were persistent enough to become the most significant frustration during testing.

Fortunately, the underlying hardware is excellent. Software can be improved through updates. Hardware design is far more difficult to correct once a product ships.

REVIEW SCORE: 9/10

The Turtle Beach Command Series KB7 and KP7 represent one of the most ambitious keyboard ecosystems currently available. Excellent build quality, responsive Hall Effect switches, meaningful touchscreen functionality, and a genuinely useful modular design help separate the Command Series from its competitors. The KB7 succeeds as both a competitive gaming keyboard and a productivity-focused desktop command center, while the KP7 adds flexibility that can benefit gamers and creators alike.

Swarm II remains the primary area in need of refinement. Layout recognition issues and inconsistent firmware update behavior prevent the experience from reaching its full potential today. Even with those shortcomings, the Command Series left a lasting impression.

Once a test subject of the FBC, Dylan must now harness his evolving abilities, confront his past, and learn to trust others in a world he was never meant to be part of. The trailer explores Dylan Faden’s (played by Sean Durrie) dramatic journey as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) into the heart of a supernatural crisis. For this mission, Dylan is joined by a new FBC ally Zoe de Vera, alongside returning fan favorites Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original CONTROL. With his sister, Federal Bureau of Control Director Jesse Faden, missing, Dylan must step into a role he was never prepared for – humanity’s last line of defense. 

As part of Remedy’s efforts to bring CONTROL Resonant worldwide, the game will be the most localized Remedy game to date. CONTROL Resonant will feature full audio, interface, and subtitles in English, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (Spain). Additional interface and subtitle support will be available in Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish (Latin America), Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Ukrainian. 

CONTROL Resonant will also launch with support for GeForce NOW. The Mac version via Steam and the App Store will follow later this year.

Today during PlayStation’s State of Play we got a look at “The Lost Wild” by Annapurna Interactive and Great Ape Games. It looks to be intense survival horror as you try to make your way thru the island full of dinosaurs.

In The Lost Wild, players embark on an immersive evasion-based survival horror experience where they are pitted against nature’s ultimate hunters — dinosaurs. They assume the role of Saskia, who wakes up on a mysterious island overrun by prehistoric creatures. To survive, Saskia must explore derelict research facilities nestled in a lush wilderness and be resourceful while evading and overcoming this unstoppable threat.

Players become the hunted as the dinosaurs roam the abandoned facility, seeking out their prey. It’s essential to observe movements and patterns to learn about their behavior, to stay alive in this violent primal world. Choosing the best path forward is key, as players use stealth and caution, or venture off the beaten path to discover hidden routes which might lead to safety.

“The Lost Wild is a survival horror experience unlike any other, one that is built around slow burn tension while players are hunted by intelligent dinosaurs. Players can acquire useful items to improve the chances of survival, but will become subject to ever-increasing dangers the deeper Saskia explores, while using non-lethal weaponry, resulting in intense cat and mouse-style gameplay. Players can create distractions and use the environment to their advantage or temporarily scare off deadly predators using a combination of non-lethal weaponry to escape and evade.

At Computex 2026, ASUS officially unveiled the new ROG Xbox Ally X20, a special 20th Anniversary Edition handheld that introduces a larger OLED display, upgraded controls, improved cooling, and a collector-focused design that celebrates two decades of Republic of Gamers.

After spending extensive time with both the ROG Ally X and the ROG Xbox Ally, this announcement immediately grabbed my attention. ASUS has spent the last several years refining its handheld strategy, and the X20 feels like the culmination of many of the lessons learned along the way.

OLED Finally Comes to the Ally Platform

The headline feature is undoubtedly the display.

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 features a new 7.4-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED panel running at 120Hz with support for variable refresh rate technology, HDR, and Dolby Vision. The move from IPS to OLED has been one of the most requested upgrades from Ally owners, and it has the potential to dramatically improve the overall handheld experience.

For players who spend hours exploring massive worlds, grinding seasonal content, or jumping between competitive matches, OLED offers deeper blacks, stronger contrast, richer colors, and a more impactful HDR presentation.

As somebody who frequently travels with handhelds and spends countless hours gaming away from a desk, this is the upgrade I have been waiting for.

Familiar Yet Refined

Interestingly, ASUS isn’t positioning the X20 as a major performance leap.

The handheld retains the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, paired with 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD. Rather than chasing incremental frame rate gains, ASUS appears focused on refining the overall ownership experience.

That approach makes a lot of sense.

The current Xbox Ally X already delivers excellent gaming performance across a wide variety of modern titles. Improving the display, controls, thermals, and usability may ultimately have a greater impact on everyday gaming than a modest increase in raw horsepower.

Upgraded Controls and Better Cooling

ASUS has also made several hardware improvements beyond the display.

The X20 introduces upgraded TMR anti-drift joysticks, redesigned controls, enhanced haptics, improved bumpers, updated cooling hardware, and support for faster microSD Express storage. The company has also redesigned portions of the interface and hardware layout to better align with the Xbox gaming experience.

These aren’t flashy upgrades on paper, but they are exactly the kinds of refinements enthusiasts appreciate after hundreds of hours of use.

More Than a Handheld

One of the more surprising aspects of ASUS’ announcement is that the ROG Xbox Ally X20 is currently being positioned as part of a premium anniversary bundle.

Alongside the handheld, ASUS is including the ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, creating a package designed to deliver a larger virtual display experience while gaming on the go.

The inclusion of AR glasses immediately separates the X20 from previous Ally launches. ASUS appears to be targeting enthusiasts who want a complete premium ecosystem rather than simply releasing another hardware refresh.

Whether every Ally owner wants AR glasses is another question entirely, but there is no denying that ASUS is aiming high with this anniversary package.

A Design Worth Celebrating

Visually, the ROG Xbox Ally X20 may be one of the most distinctive handhelds ASUS has produced to date.

The translucent black chassis exposes portions of the internal design while gold accents celebrate twenty years of Republic of Gamers hardware. The result feels both nostalgic and modern, paying tribute to ROG’s history while showcasing how far handheld gaming has come.

As someone who has covered ROG products for years, I appreciate seeing ASUS embrace its heritage in a way that feels meaningful rather than purely cosmetic.

The Biggest Remaining Question

The one major detail ASUS has yet to reveal is availability.

At the time of writing, the company has not announced pricing or a release date for the ROG Xbox Ally X20. ASUS has also not confirmed whether the handheld will eventually be available as a standalone purchase outside of the anniversary bundle.

That uncertainty may become one of the biggest talking points surrounding the device over the coming months.

Many enthusiasts will undoubtedly want the OLED handheld. Whether they also want the bundled AR glasses may ultimately influence how the package is received.

Final Thoughts

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 doesn’t appear to be trying to reinvent handheld gaming.

Instead, ASUS has taken an already successful platform and addressed one of the community’s most requested upgrades while refining nearly every aspect of the overall experience.

The addition of OLED alone makes this one of the most interesting handheld announcements of 2026.

After spending considerable time with both the ROG Ally X and the ROG Xbox Ally, this is easily one of the most exciting handheld reveals ASUS has made in years. Now all eyes are on pricing, release details, and whether the company plans to offer the OLED-equipped handheld outside of its anniversary bundle.

SteelSeries calls it an “instrument of control,” largely thanks to the new OmniPlay system. It lets you mix up to four audio sources at once using triple USB-C inputs and Bluetooth, meaning your days of swapping cables are officially over. Throw in certified Hi-Res Wireless audio, hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, and a hot-swappable battery setup, and you have a headset that refuses to compromise on quality or convenience.

DESIGN

Visually, the OMNI sticks to the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy. It sports the same sleek silhouette as the original Nova Pro, which is great news if you want a clean, premium look that doesn’t scream “hardcore gamer” when you’re sitting in a coffee shop. You still get the rock-solid metal headband and convenient on-ear controls, but SteelSeries is freshening things up with three new colorways: Midnight Blue, Graphite, and a sharp-looking White.

Where you’ll actually feel the upgrade is in the revamped ear cushions. They’re noticeably more plush and softer than the original Pro pads, which feel a bit stiff by comparison. Even during marathon sessions, heat buildup is minimal and the clamping force feels perfectly dialed in. This ties into their ComfortMAX system, using height-adjustable rotating earcups and a flexible tension band to distribute weight evenly across your head.

If you like personalizing your gear, the magnetic speaker plates on the outside of the earcups are still here. You can easily pop them off and swap them out for different colors or limited-edition designs.

The real magic, though, is in the redesigned GameHub base station. It keeps the tactile command wheel and OLED screen we love, but adds a third USB-C input. This is a massive quality-of-life upgrade for anyone running a triple-threat setup; you can keep your PC, Xbox, and PlayStation plugged in simultaneously and swap between them on the fly. Plus, the OLED display now shows live audio levels for all your connected gear at the same time.

Inside, the hardware gets a serious tune-up. We’re talking custom Neodymium Magnetic drivers pushing Hi-Res 96kHz/24-bit audio—basically giving you three times the detail of a standard headset. The Active Noise Cancellation has also been overhauled with a new 4-mic hybrid system that’s significantly better at silencing the world around you. Even the retractable ClearCast Pro mic got an upgrade with a next-gen chip set that doubles the bandwidth, making your voice sound rich and broadcast-ready rather than compressed.

Setting everything up is incredibly simple. You just plug the GameHub base station into your devices using the included USB-C cables, and you’re good to go. Because the transmitter runs entirely on USB power, there’s no annoying power brick cluttering up your desk.

If you’re on PC or Mac, the free SteelSeries Sonar app unlocks deep parametric EQ and multi-source mixing. But the real game-changer here is the new Arctis Mobile App. For the first time, console and mobile players can tweak a full parametric EQ and tap into over 200 pro-tuned, game-specific profiles in real-time, right from their phone, without needing a computer.

On the head, the OMNI feels completely weightless. Those softer, upgraded ear cushions do a phenomenal job keeping heat and pressure at bay, and the physical on-ear controls remain a breeze to use on the fly. When you’re done playing, the mic retracts completely flush into the earcup, turning the headset into a sleek pair of everyday headphones you can wear out of the house.

But the absolute best part of daily use is the hot-swappable battery system. When you get a low-battery alert, there’s no scrambling for a cable or sitting awkwardly close to your monitor. You just pop the plate, swap the battery with the one in the base station, and you’re back in action. The headset stays powered on during the swap, so you don’t even lose connection to your squad. It’s seamless, brilliant, and makes you wonder why every wireless headset doesn’t do this.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The Arctis Nova Pro OMNI is a masterclass in what a modern gaming headset should be, easily justifying its price tag. By keeping the premium comfort of the original line and adding killer hardware upgrades—like triple USB-C inputs, better ANC, and a broadcast-quality mic—SteelSeries has built something that feels genuinely next-gen.

The OmniPlay system easily turns this into the central hub for your entire gaming setup. When you combine that convenience with the new mobile app and infinite battery life, the OMNI sets a massive new benchmark for the industry. If you’re a multi-platform gamer who wants top-tier audio for both competitive gaming and daily life, this is a definitive must-buy.

We finally have the title and release date for the next COD game and its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Infinity Ward will be taking the reigns developing it and will be centered around global confilct regarding the Korean Peninsula. You won’t just stay there as you will be hitting up areas such as New York, Paris, Mumbai, etc via Campaign. It looks to be more grounded, darker and grittier with its storyline.

Multiplayer delivers grounded, precise combat, built around fluid movement that provides greater control than ever before. Multiplayer introduces Ballistic Authority, a new weapons-first innovation that brings the most authentic Modern Warfare gunplay yet. Modern Warfare 4 will launch with 12 Core maps, spanning visually distinct locations around the world, plus Kill Block, a new and dynamic battleground that reconfigures its layout between rounds across more than 500 configurations.

DMZ returns as the definitive Call of Duty extraction experience, dropping solo players and squads into a shifting combat zone where every deployment plays out differently. Additional details for DMZ will drop on June 7.

Modern Warfare 4 is built with a renewed focus on PC players, with Infinity Ward and Beenox partnering to give more control over performance, visual fidelity, responsiveness, and customization on PC. Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026 on XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and for the first time, Nintendo Switch 2.

As far as pre-orders there will be two versions of Modern Warfare 4 with a Standard Edition and a Vault Edition.

Sony has pulled back the curtain on its True RGB TVs and they are coming in not one but two different models. These being the Bravia 9 II TV and the Bravia 7 II TV.

Each model will be utilizing red, green, and blue LEDs that be individually driven giving you precise color reproduction even in the brightest of living rooms. They will be powered by Sony’s RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. They have wide viewing angles so you still get great picture.

Each model will support Google TV with Gemini and sizes for the Bravia 7 will go up to 98″ while the Bravia 9 II goes up to 115″. There will also be support for Dolby Vision / Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced.

Exclusive to Bravia 9 II will be RGB Triluminos Max and Luminance Booster Pro. This will pushing True RGB even further with smooter gradation and accurate hues at brighter levels. Also deeper blacks will be taken into acccount with Black Screen Pro.

On the audio side will be Bravia Theater Trio. It is a three speaker system that was created in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment. It is wireless and also uses 360 Spatial Sound Mapping which can produce a feeling of 25 speakers giving you quite the sound stae. It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced.

As soon as you walk in the Audible Story House it feels like a library or bookstore with shelves that are usually filled with books but instead are “Story Tiles”. You are able to pick up a story tile and use it in one of the various areas throughout the space or tap it with your smartphone which will bring up the Audible app. There are over 300 Audible titles through the space.

Speaking of those various areas there is Listening Booths which you can stand it and hear it coming from a speaker, go to a station that has a pair of Sony headphones or potentially grab an iPad that has headphones paired up and listen to a selection of Audible titles.

Also on the first floor is “The Gallery” where you would go to check out panels and other talks they may have going on. Its decor is quite pleasing to the eyes with its large Hi-Fi speakers by Silence Please.

If you so dare take a walk downstairs to the Dolby Atmos Lounge. Its a nice dark setting with comfortable seating, black walls, and excellent immersive sound coming from Dolby Atmos. There you will get to listen to Audible Originals and some exclusive content utilizing Dolby Atmos. You can close your eyes and zone in and its quite compelling. There are 40 titles spanning soundscapes, live performances, podcasts, and multi-cast productions via Dolby Atmos.

If you go up to the 3rd floor there is a Listening Bar where a “Story Tender” will find that audiobook you didnt realize you needed curated by interests and your taste preferences. Walk down the hallway and you will see their cafe created by Land to Sea, lined up with merch or grab a coffee. They have an actual location in Brooklyn. There is also a very chill space lined up with pillows you can relax on and take in a listen. I didn’t want to get up quite frankly.

Audible Story House is free to the public and will be available till May 31st. Honestly I hope its something they bring back as it can gather alot of interest in Audible and bring experiences with Dolby Atmos I couldnt even imagine. Check out some events that might be going on HERE

Also which I believe wasn’t part of the Audible Story House was checking out Audible titles in a Cadilliac. Dolby Atmos was just enabled in the Audible app so you can experience this while taking a drive as well. This takes full advantage of the wide array of speakers outfitted in this vehicle.

After much anticipation, 007 First Light will be finally available starting May 27th. NVIDIA is doing something big and giving you a free copy of the upcoming James Bond title. With this you will be able to stream it right off GeForce Now or play it later via Steam if you desire. All you have to do is purchase a 12-month GeForce NOW Ultimate membership.

Another big title that is available now is Forza Horizon 6. Street racing, live events, travel off-road you name it. Or just cruise around and enjoy the scenery. Take it all in with the open world structure of Forza Horizon 6.

Google I/O gave out with quite the announcements thus far but one that will have all eyes on it is Intelligent Eyewear. In a market that seemed to be dominated by Meta’s various glasses for a couple years we are getting a fresh competitor. Samsung and Google are working Android XR together also alongside Qualcomm.

They will be bringing this first iteration of intelligent eyewear to not one but two glasses manufacturers. Those being Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. Gentle Monster known more for its fashion-forward styles while Warby Parker is that everyday contemporary look.

These audio glasses will have great functionality thanks to Google Gemini. You will be able to do turn by turn nagivation while walking with the glasses and add stops while you travel if necessary. Also handle other things such as calls, texting and summarizing messages. Of course you will be able to listen to music on the go as well.

Other features will be picture taking and using Nano Banana to alter a photo, speech translation and doing tasks. All this is complimentary to your mobile device.

Its unbelievable to think that its been 10 years since the first iteration of Sony 1000X series of headphones. The first model was actually called MDR-1000X originally. Since then Sony’s over-ear headphones from the 1000X series has been become some of the most recognizable out on the market.
