so many different kinds of people. Rich, poor, young, old, powerful and influential, or outcasts and criminals--Christ’s preaching transformed all sorts of lives from all sorts of social groups. In fact, there was really only one group of people who almost completely rejected Jesus’ teaching. The Pharisees and the religious elite were filled with a violent hatred for Christ that left them spiritually blind to his miracles and deaf to the life-transforming truth He taught. But why did they hate Christ so fiercely? In today’s sermon, John MacArthur opens God’s Word and helps us understand why religious leaders rejected Christ, and why they were so antagonistic to the gospel He taught. Grab your Bible and prepare to be shocked by The Scandal of Grace. And stick around after today’s message for an exciting look at a powerful new video Bible study series from our pastor. Trust me--you don’t want to miss it.

Are you indecisive, or impulsive? Do you try to gather up all the pertinent information, or do you simply trust your gut instinct? No matter how difficult or easy it might be, your day is full of choices that need to be made. Some are inconsequential, while others will have repercussions throughout the rest of your life. One of the key, pivotal decisions that faces every believer is choosing a pastor and church--who will I trust to faithfully and accurately preach Gods truth each week? Considering the impact it will make on your spiritual growth, its one of the most important decisions youll ever make. So what are the biblical criteria when it comes to making such an important decision? What characteristics should we look for in a pastor, and which ones should we avoid? John MacArthur has the opportunity to speak at many conferences throughout the year and recently he had a chance to answer these very questions for a few thousand college students and young adults at the Resolved Conference in Palm Springs, CA. Lets watch together as he describes in detail what to look for in a Sanctifying Shepherd. visit http://www.gty.org<div class="feedflare">

From a chronological perspective it makes sense why not begin with the beginning? The bible begins with creation because it sets the tone for all of scripture. In the same way how we view it colors how we view all of Gods word. So, how do you view creation? Is it literal or symbolic? Is it non-negotiable or is there room for evolution? Those are important answers to know and pastor John MacArthur is about to provide them. Open your bible to page one, and lets discover what they are. visit http://www.gty.org<div class="feedflare">

People with absolute supremacy, absolute authority, absolute power, absolute will, we don't live under people who are what we would call majesties who can do whatever they like, whenever they like, with whomever they like without any recourse. In fact, when we find somebody who rules like that, we usually call him a dictator and he frightens us and the free world becomes outraged at such persons being outraged with the idea of autocratic domination, and we amass our powers, political powers and sometimes military powers, to try to liberate people from those who have absolute dominion over them. Our world is not a world of kings anymore. visit http://www.gty.org</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>clean</itunes:explicit><itunes:keywords>Kingdom, King, Monarchy, Sovereignty, Royalty, Dictator, Christ, Jesus, Lord, "John MacArthur", "Grace to You"</itunes:keywords><itunes:duration>28:30</itunes:duration>

<feedburner:origEnclosureLink>http://webmedia.gty.org/vodcast/8242-221.m4v</feedburner:origEnclosureLink>

The Persecution and Endurance of Christians, Part 2 (Luke 21:12-19)

We return in our study of the Word of God to the twenty-first chapter of Lukes gospel.
