Why is President Obama welcoming illegals, releasing criminals and releasing terrorists from Gitmo, knowing many will return to the battlefield to kill Americans? Are new Democrat voters worth risking American lives? If we capture terrorists, where will he or the next president send them for interrogation? Worse, will President Obama send terrorists to American prisons where they can recruit American prisoners into radical Islamic terror?

As events spin out of control, is Donald Trump the man who can unite Americans and lead our country back to the principles we were founded on? Mr. Trump has his detractors, but he is a strong leader, unafraid and unwilling to be bullied into submission by media obsessed with political correctness. After a president who has doubled our debt, gutted our military and put global interests first, it would be nice to have a president who will put AMERICA FIRST and AMERICANS FIRST! Because of Donald Trump's leadership, strength and business acumen, he is the ONLY one who can and WILL put a stop to foreign governments running rough shod over our country!

But if not he, than who? Surely NOT Hillary Clinton! She has been shown to be incompetent at best, dishonest, dishonorable and worse. She has deliberately jeopardized our national security for personal convenience and in an attempt to keep her nefarious dealings hidden from public scrutiny. She has been wrong on all foreign policy matters, and her role as Secretary of State has helped to destablize the Middle East, causing chaos and destruction around the world.

People ignorant of her real legacy want her to be POTUS because they think it would be great to have a woman president, would be "historic". This is the thinking that elected Barack Obama, and look how that turned out! He still has his admirers, but no one can claim America or the world is better off since he took office.

May we remember these words of President John Adams:

"But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."

May God open the eyes of Americans to see truth they have been blind to. May God bless and restore our great nation.

REMEMBERING PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN AS WE MOURN THE PASSING OF HIS BELOVED WIFE, FIRST LADY NANCY REAGAN

I remember the feeling when President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, was in office. Malaise was the word, a general feeling of despair, unease and pessimism. Most who remember his presidency think of the energy crisis with long gas lines, 16% inflation, 22% interest rates, and 70% marginal tax rates. And who could ever forget Americans held hostage in Iran for 444 days or the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, in response to which President Carter ended détente, escalated the Cold War and led the international boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow.

Many Americans were not born or too young to remember the feeling of hopelessness, but we who lived through it will never forget.

President Ronald Reagan was inaugurated in January 1981, and immediately Iran freed the hostages that had been held for so long. Almost immediately the mood of the country lightened. Americans felt optimistic and hopeful.

President Reagan's most memorable words will long be remembered: " Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" That speech made in West Berlin on June 12, 1987 paved the way for the fall of the Berlin wall which had divided West and East Berlin since 1961.

Critics and historians will differ on their opinions of President Reagan, but I will most remember President Reagan for restoring American pride and morale and faith in the American Dream, as well as his love for our country. I still treasure the memory of a day in 1984 when President Reagan came to my town. I took my young daughter out of school to see him. What a thrill and honor it was to see and hear this amazing and uplifting man.

As we mourn the passing of President Reagan's beloved wife, Nancy Reagan, I pray God will raise up someone like Ronald Reagan to lead our country through these dark times. May that person be inspiring, principled, honorable, dignified, wise, fair, and able to unite all Americans with love of humanity and our beautiful country, the United States of America!

AS EVENTS & OUR CULTURE SPIN OUT OF CONTROL, WHO CAN RESTORE AMERICA TO ITS FOUNDING PRINCIPLES?

I remember how thrilled everyone was in 2008 when we elected our First Black President. People were dancing and rejoicing in the streets! OK, not everyone. Some of us could see beneath the pomposity and grandiosity. Even arrogance when just after his election he stated "I won" to close down discussion. Now the Obama worshippers turn away from the subject of Obama, unwilling to admit out loud, or maybe even to themselves the damage he has caused to America and the world.

We see President Obama welcoming illegals and releasing criminals. New Democrat voters are apparently worth risking American lives. In attempt to fulfill his campaign promise to close Gitmo, President Obama is releasing terrorists, knowing many will return to the battlefield to kill Americans. Nevermind if we ever capture terrorists, where will he or the next president send them for interrogation? And worse, will he send some terrorists to American prisons to recruit American prisoners into radical Islam terror?

So many so-called intelligent people think they are informed but have NO IDEA what is going on in the world. To call them low-information voters would give them credit for more information than they actually possess, considering what they do know has been distorted by the far left media.

Shall I fault my friends for not caring enough to seek the truth, or the media for twisting and feeding them false information? The real question is: Is there any way to reach them? Is there ANYONE they will listen to? I had thought that could be brilliant neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson. Or maybe CEO Carly Fiorina. Both outsiders who looked promising, but sad to say neither seems to have lasted the withering process. Speaking of someone outside the political specter, we have Donald Trump! Can he be the man to "Make America Great Again" despite his crude and sometimes vulgar rhetoric? Or perhaps it can be Ted Cruz? Marco Rubio? Jeb Bush?

As events and our culture spin out of control, may God raise up someone who can unite ALL Americans and lead our country back to the principles we were founded on. I love America and always will, but so sad to see our country being fundamentally transformed into something unrecognizable, and half don't know or don't care.

May we remember these inspiring words..

DOES IT STILL FEEL LIKE AMERICA?

I'm not an expert on anything. I'm just an ordinary American who's lived long enough to know something is wrong. Very wrong.. It doesn't feel like the America I grew up in. OK, I'll admit. I never paid attention to what was going on in the world. I just lived a nice life, trusted my government and loved my country.

I worked in a large company with people of all colors. Two black women in my department were several levels above me. I never gave the slightest thought to what color they were. I admired their work ethic and respected their authority.

Now at every turn I see what seems to be America coming apart. Blacks pitted against whites, and vice versa. Liberals against Conservatives, and vice versa. Even divisions within the major parties.

Society has broken down to the point that anything goes. No moral judgments, no right and wrong, if it feels good do it mentality. Beyoncé, once a role model for young girls, now produces borderline porn, and why? She is just one example of a culture gone beyond the bounds of decency. Abhorrent Hip Hop lyrics are marketed to teens, and violent video games are commonplace with all ages. I'm not sure if they are leading the way or just reflecting the breakdown of society. (I suspect they're leading the way.) Every day we hear of young girls and boys displaying a lack of respect for themselves, their parents and authority.

Ugly accusations and rhetoric abounds. It appears to anyone with eyes to see that our government is out of control, yet any criticism automatically brings howls of racism. The media, once a necessary watchdog, turns a blind eye to incompetence or intentional wrongdoing, and even worse, assists in covering up what it chooses not to see.

Remember the words of John F. Kennedy: "And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." Imagine those words today when half the country wants their handouts, who cares about the country. So sad how far we've fallen..

Cool trumps character. We elected a president because he was "cool". I wonder if George Washington was considered cool?

When we vote in November, how will we judge candidates for office? Will they just have to be cool, camera friendly and promise handouts? Or is it time to get back to character, integrity, experience and good old-fashioned American values? I fear time is running out. If we want to remain a strong, sovereign nation, the time to turn back is NOW!

WHITE SANTA

What's up with the constant obsession over skin color?

Now the Left is complaining that Santa is white. Imagine the horror of a child having to sit in white Santa's lap and get Christmas presents from a jolly old fat white man in a red and white suit.

In my high school, primarily white children, I remember a black classmate, a few years ahead of me. He was popular, a high achiever, honors student and a great football player. I still remember the standing O he received at graduation. I don't know if anyone cared that he was black.

My white grandchildren have white and black friends. They don't seem to care what color they are. So why does a young person care what color Santa is? Or anyone is? I can't imagine a child would care unless some adult brought it to the child's attention.

I admire and love my friends for a variety of reasons, nothing to do with color of skin. I see humor, warmth, shared values and how we relate to each other. Content of character comes in people of all colors, ethnicities, sizes and shapes, as does lack of character.

So sad. Isn't it way past time we see people for who they are and not what color they are?

IS THERE AN ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM?

I cherish my friends. Some I worked with. Some I went to school with. A few I went through pregnancy with. After moving to a new state with an infant, no job, no friends and looming divorce, I was blessed to meet some wonderful women who were also going through divorce and raising children the same age as mine. Years have passed. Our children are grown. Some second husbands have come and gone. Happy to say my second husband remains..

I never noticed what color, size, shape, ethnicity or religion they were, or which political party they aligned with. I would not have cared if I had noticed. Our friendships were based on our shared experiences, confiding our hopes, dreams, worries for ourselves and our kids. We held each other up through illnesses, heartaches and hardships.

Most of these friendships remain. But I'm frequently noticing an elephant in the room. When we talk about our lives, our kids, our mutual friends, we have the same relationship as always. But, other than with a precious few, .. never, I mean NEVER, can we talk about current events. The slightest hint of anything in the news and the conversation inevitably goes bad, feelings are hurt and tempers flare.

So I still get together with friends, although maybe less frequently. Extended family also. Long-time bonds remain .. but there's an elephant in the room. We don't mention it. We act like it's not there. But it is. It is there, and it gets bigger every day as we are more divided than ever and our country and the world spins out of control.

I fear for my country. I fear for our children's future. They don't see it. So sad....

WHO CAN UNITE ALL AMERICANS AND LEAD US BACK TO THE PRINCIPLES WE WERE FOUNDED ON?

I remember a conversation at lunch in early 2008 with a Liberal friend. She "detested" George W. Bush. I admitted I liked and admired him. She was convinced there was no war on terror, that President Bush was using the imagined danger to make Americans think only he could save us from the terrorists. She is a New York Times reader and was sickened about the torture at Abu Ghraib. I recall her vehement statement:"We don't torture". Therefore, waterboarding terrorists (deemed "torture") to gain intelligence that could save American lives is, of course, forbidden by the Left. (Let's not think about the part that played in the Bin Laden kill that Obama took all credit for.) My Liberal friends love President Obama, oblivious to the double standard that should be obvious to anyone with eyes to see. Apparently dropping drones on heads is morally superior to waterboarding. I don't have a problem with drones taking out terrorists. I DO have a problem with the jaw-dropping hypocrisy of the Left!

I still get together with my liberal friends. The long-time friendships are deep and hopefully always will be. We talk about our lives and our kids, but a mention of any item in the news and the conversation deteriorates into a frosty "gotta go now".

When I asked opinions about Benghazi, none ever heard of "Ben Gozzi" and none wanted to know. These are not unintelligent women, but they have NO IDEA what is going on in the world. After Dr. Carson's amazing speech, the media is already likely at work trying to dig up anything they can twist against him. This is what they do, unless you fit their far left ideology.

But how do YOU feel about someone who dares speak the truth about American values and our foundation as a Republic? Can Dr. Ben Carson be the unique individual to unite ALL Americans and bring common sense back to our beautiful country? I don't know if Dr. Carson is the one, but I pray God will raise up someone to lead our country back to the principles we were founded on. Will you join me in this prayer?

WILL YOU VOTE BASED ON SKIN COLOR OR IDEAS, VALUES, CHARACTER, VISION AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS?

I grew up in a white neighborhood, in a mostly white school. I say mostly because my first memory of a black man was my first year in high school, attending the graduation. I still remember to this day, many years later, an audience full of wildly cheering students and parents, cheering for one young black man. I don't know whether his accomplishments were scholastic or athletic, but I know he was well loved and respected in our school.

Fast forward to my friendship with a black woman at work. We were pregnant together, and had our babies together. Not much brings women together more than motherhood, regardless of skin color or ethnicity. No one cares what color you are!

So today I am stunned to see the rampant racism existing in our society, almost wholly coming from the Left I believe. Every Liberal commentator blames racism for even the slightest criticism of President Obama. We all remember the disgusting, hateful attacks aimed at President Bush, yet no one was accused of hating white people. Blacks are expected to be Liberals, and when they are not, when they are Conservative, men or women, they are smeared, degraded, and assaulted with the most vile, hideous language imaginable. Anyone on Twitter or Twitchy knows this is fact. Outstanding black patriots who believe in conservative principles are too numerous to mention. Some of the best are running for office in November.

I pray our country will stand with them and reject the vicious onslaught against them. I pray all Americans will see beyond color and vote based on ideas, values, character, vision and accomplishments.

IS THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION IN OUR COUNTRY'S HISTORY?

In November voters will go to the polls to make a choice between two conflicting visions of America. One of liberty, freedom and individual responsibility. The other in which big government takes care of all our needs. The buzz words today are "fairness", "fair shot" and "fair share". I believe we should be guaranteed equal opportunity to succeed or fail on our own merits .. but President Obama appears to believe that to ensure everyone gets their "fair share", the government must intervene and take from the rich to give to the poor.

President Obama cannot run on his record of ballooning, unsustainable debt, and a dismal economy with stagnant high unemployment, housing still in shambles and many Americans forced into bankruptcy.

President Obama takes credit for the killing of Osama Bin Laden, though the policies that brought this about were put in place by President Bush, policies Obama previously spoke against. President Obama's foreign policy, or lack thereof, has resulted in America being less respected and feared around the world, most exemplified by Iran and North Korea.

We see heightened racial tensions, questionable decisions by the Department of Justice, problematic appointments, no budget and no energy policy. Obama takes credit for drilling that is taking place, but neglects to mention it is due to previous Bush and Clinton oil permits. Drilling permits are down 36% under the Obama administration. Obama has blocked drilling and the Keystone pipeline, but showed up for a photo-op for the bottom portion which didn't need his approval.

It is clear that Obamacare was never read before being signed into law and will result in higher costs, adding billions to the debt, fewer doctors, worse patient care and less medical innovation.

Because of new media, mounting scandals that would have brought down any other president can no longer be hidden by the mainstream media which hides or distorts the facts that do not support their ideology. Shocking new details continue to emerge in the Fast and Furious gunrunning investigation.  The "green" energy company Solyndra $500 Billion crony capitalism scandal, is the tip of the iceberg. The extravagant and foolish spending by the Government Services Agency (GSA) demonstrates outrageous governmental waste of taxpayer dollars, as the executive takes the Fifth.

Perhaps most disturbing is President Obama's refusal to take responsibility for anything. He routinely points the finger of blame at anyone else, most often President Bush or a do-nothing Congress despite the fact that the Democrats controlled Congress for his first two years in office. The buck never stops with President Obama! Most telling and frightening for a future Obama presidency are the words he spoke to outgoing Russian President Dmitri Medvedev that if given "space," he'll have more flexibility "after my election."

Causing a thinking person to wonder what else he's planning during a second term..

Because of this president's failure on every front, his only hope for reelection is to pit the haves against the have nots, whites against blacks and Hispanics, stay at home moms against working moms, union workers against non-union workers, union states vs. right to work states, and the 99% against the 1%. The man who promised to unite us has driven us farther apart than ever.

My close friend supported Barack Obama because he was a Constitutional scholar. The Constitution, the supreme law of the land, established three separate but equal branches of government to ensure that no branch could have power over another. Yet today the Executive Branch issues radical Executive Orders, bypassing the Legislative Branch, and attempts to intimidate the Judicial Branch into ruling in its favor.

In 2008, Barack Obama promised: "We are 5 Days Away From Fundamentally Transforming the United States of America." Why didn't anyone ask what he meant? Did we not know he believed the Constitution 'reflected fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day'?

I ask again, what characteristics should we look for as we choose our next president? Should not patriotism be first and foremost? Without an unwavering love for our country, I believe we are doomed.

Let us choose a successful leader with positive accomplishments, wisdom, good judgment and clarity of vision. Strength of character must include honesty, integrity, courage, fearlessness, optimism, firm principles, an inherent goodness and ability to act decisively.

Who can best lead our country back to our founding principles and greatness? Choose wisely, because our country depends on it!

IS IT JUST ABOUT THE ECONOMY .. OR IS THERE MORE AT STAKE?

Regardless of how the economy looks in November, 2012, Americans must make a decision between two distinct visions. One of liberty, freedom and individual responsibility. The other in which big government takes care of all our needs where everyone has the same as everyone else, and redistributes the wealth to meet that goal.

Karl Marx advocated the abolition of private property. Whereas Ayn Rand, author of Atlas Shrugged, described redistribution clearly: "Whoever claims the right to redistribute the wealth produced by others is claiming the right to treat human beings as chattel." and "The man who produces while others dispose of his product is a slave."

On November 6, 2012, Americans will go to the polls in perhaps the most important election in our history. Our mainstream media shields us from the facts that do not support their ideology. This has been proven time and time again, but so many of the electorate prefer to watch their favorite reality shows, sporting events, and Hollywood propaganda, and will finally tune in to one of the Liberal media outlets a week or two before the election. How can they possibly make an informed decision?

With incessant calls from Liberals for the redistribution of wealth and the class warfare rhetoric regarding the so-called 99% against 1%, think of the words Samuel Adams, Founding Father and leader of the Boston Tea Party, wrote: "Now what liberty can there be where property is taken without consent?" and John Adams: "Property must be secured, or liberty cannot exist." WOW .. Does this sound like Samuel Adams and John Adams could have written this today? It's almost as if they anticipated a President would one day want to Redistribute the Wealth!

Thomas Jefferson's words are as pertinent today as they were when first written. "The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."

Our Constitution established three separate branches of government to ensure that no branch could have power over another and as a way to instill a system of checks and balances. Yet now we witness the Executive Branch regularly and deliberately bypassing the Legislative Branch, with what seems to be no concern for the Constitution. The Declaration of Independence states: "Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." Does our government today have the consent of the governed? Rasmussen Reports poll taken in August indicates only 17% Say U.S. Government Has Consent of the Governed.

We have come so far from the vision our forefathers set out for us. Is it too late to restore America to its founding principles and greatness? Not if we remember President John F. Kennedy in 1961:

Consider Ronald Reagan in 1982: "Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid."

Let us not be afraid. Let us vote as if our country depends on our vote. Because it does!

WHO CAN RESTORE HONOR AND DIGNITY TO THE PRESIDENCY?

I remember the Carter years. President Carter was perceived as inept and weak. He looked small and insignificant as his final year was marked by the 1979 takeover of the American embassy in Iran and holding of hostages by Iranian students, an unsuccessful rescue attempt, serious fuel shortages and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

As gloom had seeped into the consciousness of America, Ronald Reagan appeared as a bright light. He uplifted our country and restored a feeling of confidence in America's greatness. I remember early in his presidency I took my young daughter out of school one special day he came to our town. It was a thrill for me to see this great man who was rebuilding faith and pride in America. I cherish the memory of that day and am so grateful to have been able to share it with my child.

As we look today for the man or woman to lead our country through this perilous time, I reflect on the qualities to look for in a president.

I consider patriotism to be first and foremost! An unquestioned, unwavering love for our country.

Followed by a record of proven leadership, positive accomplishments, wisdom, good judgment and clarity of vision and direction. Strength of character must include honesty, integrity, courage, fearlessness, optimism, firm principles, an inherent goodness and ability to act decisively.

Never again can we be satisfied with a president who will pander to his own party and his special friends, while disparaging those with whom he disagrees. We must elect an honorable man or woman to be president of ALL the people, one who will always remember that our government is "of the people, by the people, for the people".

May our next President remember the words of Ronald Reagan: "If we ever forget we are A Nation Under God, we will be a nation gone under."

HORDES STILL IDOLIZE OBAMA..I FIGURED OUT WHY!

I recently asked why Obama's adoring throngs still love him and answered my own question today. They appear to be oblivious! I had lunch with my very close friend, a Liberal Jewish woman. She is passionate about what's going on in her town, but when I asked how she feels about what's going on in the country, and Israel, she covered her ears and shouted "No, no".. she didn't want to hear ANYTHING! I casually questioned if she knew any basic non-political news such as tornadoes, floods or fires, and she knew nothing about anything. This is what I find with all my Liberal friends. They either partake in no news at all or read the New York Times or watch MSNBC and NPR. President Bush is regularly blamed for the economy President Obama inherited, yet Obama and most Americans seem to have conveniently forgotten that Democrats took power in Congress in January 2007. It's easy to feel good about President Obama when you don't know the damage he is causing, or the destruction the Liberal agenda has perpetrated on our country.

Now our economy hangs by a thread. In January 2009 the U.S. unemployment rate was 7.2%. Today it is 9.1%. Under employment is 18.6%, and long-term unemployed is staggering. We all see prices rising at the grocery store and gas pump. Our debt has risen to a crushing $14.4 Trillion, and by the time you read this it will be higher. The $61.6 trillion in unfunded obligations amounts to $528,000 per household.

The Congressional Budget Office, CBO, just issued an ominous report on debt, indicating we could be on the verge of a ‘Sudden Fiscal Crisis’. I fear where we go from here.

As Obama promised in advance, <p$1><p$1><p$1><p$1></p></p></p></p> EPA regulations will cost the coal industry $200B and cause electricity rates to skyrocket.

President Obama has routinely betrayed our allies and appeased our enemies. His treatment of Israel has been shameful, and his administration is freely giving Russia sensitive information about missile defense that weakens U.S. national security. Do Liberals not know this or just don't care? and how is it possible any American doesn't care??

Communists in America are bolder than ever, seemingly with no fear of retribution from this administration. Is anyone concerned that hate-groups in our midst publicly call for overthrow of our system?

According to a RAND report, Iran is just weeks from the Bomb. As we hear cries of "Death to Israel! Death to America!" President Obama seems to think they're kidding, he just has to be nicer. We can only pray America survives Obama's foolish policies.

Nothing to see here .. America, go back to sleep ..

WHY DO OBAMA'S ADORING THRONGS STILL LOVE HIM?

In the face of what appears to be a failed presidency, I have been wondering what drives Obama supporters to continue to support him? Minorities, élites and union bosses see him as one of them. But what of the rest of America watching the world in chaos and our country on the brink? What do they see that his critics do not see? Or what do they not see that his detractors do see?

The stock market is erratic. Unemployed and underemployed numbers show little or no encouraging signs. Our debt is $14.2 Trillion and growing daily. Our country is more divided and partisan than perhaps ever before in our history. The appeasement, apology, peace through weakness foreign policy is producing a world in turmoil. Legislators are fleeing, mobs are near rioting in state capitals, horrifying death threats are hurled with no thought of consequences.

What happened to the president who was going to heal all wounds, bring us all together? Speeches like this have alienated many, but his ardent fans can't get enough of it.
I am trying to grasp why his poll numbers are still in the mid to high 40 range, when it seems to me to be so obvious his inexperience, naiveté, poor judgment, incoherent leadership and radical ideology have led to disastrous results, both domestically and internationally. Have his devotees not noticed his brilliant smile, amazing Teleprompter-inspired oratory, and appeasement diplomacy have failed to produce tangible results he and they expected? Most in the mainstream media have been effective in labeling anyone who disagrees with Obama's policies as racists, bitter clingers, clinging to their guns and religion.

Bush haters were glorified and his policies were incessantly demonized. He was called a war criminal and worse for the Iraq war, Gitmo, and the Patriot Act, yet now that Obama has adopted these same policies the silence from the media is deafening as Obama continues the same hated programs. Glenn Beck regularly shows UNEDITED videos of Obama, his czars & George Soros in their own words, and the Left says Beck is a crazy lunatic, despite what we can see with our own eyes.

Promises have been broken now that President Obama has learned campaigning is easier than governing. Yet the idolizing Obama herd loves him still. I continue to ask .. why?

I have many Liberal friends. You probably do too. With my Conservative friends the sky's the limit. We can talk about anything. With my Liberal friends we talk about our kids, mutual friends, clothes, restaurants, coffee at Starbucks, shopping, anything that doesn't approach news of the day or anything political. But let one of us innocently bring up the slightest hint of the day's news, and before you know it all hell breaks loose.

We see things so differently. They read the NY Times, watch MSNBC and listen to NPR. I watch primarily Fox, listen to talk radio, and read a large variety of prominent blogs. I feel I am fairly well informed, they feel they are well informed. Yet, I notice they know little of what is really going on in America or the world. On the rare occasion we allow ourselves to get sucked into an actual discussion, they use the occasion to blast Beck, Palin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Bachmann etc, calling them crazy lunatics or something equally profound. No specifics required, just virulent name calling. They are in love with the likes of Olbermann, Schulz, Maddow, Maher, Matthews to name a few, and hang on their every word, with no notice of the vitriolic hatred they spew.

I wonder if they have heard even just a few of the news stories I would have expected would have shocked them and begun the process of opening their eyes. But they never mention them. Have they not heard of the WikiLeaks cables which revealed a secret deal in which US agrees to tell Russia Britain's nuclear secrets ?

Perhaps they missed Wikileaks leaked cables detailing: 'Al-Qaida on Brink of Using Nuclear Bomb' As Obama envisions a world without nuclear weapons, he seems to overlook the threat posed by Iran, Al-Qaida, North Korea .. According to Harvard's Niall Ferguson in a recent MSNBC interview, President Obama is "one of the least experienced men in terms of foreign policy ever to occupy the White House .. "

It seems President Obama is unaware of any danger posed by the Muslim Brotherhood, which has just applied for political party status in Egypt. As the Muslim Brotherhood calls for Sharia law and war with Israel, only time will tell how Egypt will look a year or two from now. Unrest is growing throughout the Middle East, and Iranian warships are about to pass through the Suez Canal, showing the growing confidence of Iran.

We recently learned that Obama's drilling moratorium is causing a major company to go bankrupt, due to the sharp decline in Gulf drilling work. Yet the Obama administration didn't hesitate to finance oil exploration off Brazil.

In another Obama record, U.S. debt equals the size of the U.S. Economy. Dick Morris published a chart by Ruth S. King detailing The Damage Obama Has Done. This is an eye-opening disclosure that the media has been largely silent on. In 2008 Senator Obama opposed forcing the uninsured to buy health insurance, stating it would be like forcing the homeless to buy homes. Now in 2011 he's hoping we won't notice he was for it before he was against it now that he needs it to prop up Obamacare.

Millions of Americans thought a Community Organizer with amazing Teleprompter skills would be the savior of the world. The media fed this absurdity, and the public bought it hook, line and sinker. Do the Obama voters feel foolish today? Polls indicate many still cling to their rose-colored glass version of him.

I don't dare discuss this with any of my Liberal friends for fear of losing dear friendships. But the world is growing more dangerous daily, and the facts must get out before the 2012 election, or sooner if possible. Otherwise our children and grandchildren will never know the freedoms we take for granted ..

Are they bitter and resentful as they watch their failing liberal ideology being rejected throughout the country? Or is it something else that drives their poisonous malice toward anyone who espouses old-fashioned, common sense, Conservative, middle-American values? Could it be outright, absolute terror that millions of Americans are LISTENING to Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin? Imagine their worst nightmare .. that Americans return to the principles laid down by our Founding Fathers .. that traditional values drive the voters to choose a Conservative, pro-Constitution candidate in 2012!

Without Oprah's endorsement, Barack Obama may never have been elected President of the United States. Without the nauseating public adoration of Obama by the Hollywood celebrities, Obama might still be a Senator from Illinois today. As they were instrumental in electing an inexperienced Community Organizer with less than two years in the Senate and no executive experience whatsoever, I'm guessing they will be exempt from having to submit to the indignity of a full-fledged pat-down. Just a guess ..

I understand the need to keep our country safe from those who want to do us harm. But perhaps they should first be identified. Let's start with those who have overtly expressed the desire to destroy America and our way of life. Not because, as the elite Left believes, President Bush wasn't nice enough to them, but because we are the Infidels, and nothing except converting to Islam and Sharia law will change that.

Are these recent examples on the part of the TSA necessary to keep us safe? A retired teacher and cancer survivor was left covered in urine after a TSA pat-down. A flight attendant and breast cancer survivor was horrified when forced to remove her prosthetic breast during a pat-down. While I'm not a fan of nipple rings, should a TSA agent force a woman to cut off her nipple rings with plyers before she could board a plane?

Hillary Clinton laughingly admitted she won't submit to a pat-down if she doesn't have to. I didn't think it was all that funny..

I'm not blaming the TSA employees. I'm sure they are just following the rules laid down by their higher ups. The buck should stop at Janet Napolitano and President Obama, both of whom have the power to adopt more effective procedures such as have been successfully employed by EL AL Israel Airlines.

KT McFarland who held national security posts in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan Administrations as an aide to Dr. Henry Kissinger on the NSC Staff, member of the Senate Armed Services Committee Staff, and later Pentagon spokesman, suggests

Do you expect our Presidents to be dignified? Do you look up to our Presidents, past and present, as people we want our children to emulate? Do we want our Presidents to be people of principle who command our respect? Should the President of the United States have admirable characteristics our children could aspire to, such as honesty and integrity? Do we want our President to mean what he says and say what he means? Do we believe that a person of character's word should be their bond? A promise made, a promise kept?

Where are we today? Is our President conducting himself with dignity? Do we admire him? Do we want our children to aspire to his character traits?

Do we expect our President to look out for the entire country, be President of ALL the United States? Or just the favored special interest groups?

Should our President be a partisan pawn, flailing around in public, accusing one person or group after another, blameshifting, demonizing, finger pointing and finger wagging? Would Ronald Reagan or John Kennedy have displayed arrogant, partisan, frantic allegations, or would they rise above party politics? John Kennedy asked what we could do for our country, not what we could do for him. Is this what President Obama is asking?

Most Americans don't' care about the color, sex, or ethnicity of a president. We do care about the content of character. Let's remember that before the next election!

It's open season on the Judeo-Christian faith. The Ten Commandments, recognized as a moral foundation in Judaism and Christianity, have long been attacked.

There have been efforts to remove all vestiges of Christianity from the public square, to have "under God" removed from the Pledge of Allegiance and our official motto "In God We Trust" removed from our currency, as well as "so help me God" removed from our presidential oath. Christian symbols such as crosses and nativity scenes, school prayer at graduation, and praying at school sporting events are assailed. The Christmas season itself has been targeted, and God is being removed from our textbooks.

But how did our Founding Fathers envision America? Let's review a small sampling of their quotes.

John Quincy Adams:

However, today even our Constitution is dismissed as flawed and irrelevant by our leaders.

President Obama believes the Constitution 'reflected fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day'

President Obama believes we are no longer a Christian nation. On April 6, 2009 in Turkey he made the following comment: “one of the great strengths of the United States is that it does not consider itself a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values.

What kind of country do we want to be going forward? Do we want to remain the sovereign nation based on Judeo-Christian principles our Founding Fathers formed for us? Or do we want to be a secular society with open borders and post-American leaders?

The time to decide is NOW .. before it's too late.

PRESIDENT OBAMA, MERELY INCOMPETENT OR SOMETHING ELSE?

Dick Morris makes this observation in his June 1 article published in The Hill: "Conservatives are so enraged at Obama’s socialism and radicalism that they are increasingly surprised to learn that he is incompetent as well."

Morris then goes on to ask "Who would have thought that this president, so anxious to lead us and so focused on his specific agenda and ideas, would turn out not to know what he is doing?"

However, many of us are not at all surprised. We were not fooled by a media so enamored with a young, attractive African-American with soaring oratory, they were willing to hide or gloss over his lack of executive experience, nonexistent record of accomplishments, absent paper trail and long history of relationships with radicals. Anyone who would dare question Obama's credentials, or lack thereof, was labeled a racist.

Now finally the question of Obama's competency can hardly be ignored, even by Liberal Democrats.

Even Maureen Dowd in her June 1 NYT column seems to feel President Obama has lost his magic.

Perhaps I'm being harsh. Could it be President Obama is not incompetent, but rather a proponent of the Cloward-Piven Strategy, which purpose is to bring about the demise of capitalism by overloading the system, largely by making more people desperate and dependent on the government?

Whether merely in over-his-head or driven by ideology, his speechifying is getting old and bordering on unappealing. The promise of "Hope and Change" now just feels like hollow words. "Plug the damn hole" doesn't remind us of the leadership qualities of our great, or even good, presidents.

Before the election Obama boasted that he would fundamentally transform America. He is doing just that. Transforming it into something our grandparents wouldn't recognize. Something I don't recognize.

Are Obama voters still fainting in the aisles and dancing in the streets? Or are they having a severe case of Buyer's Remorse?

Reported in humanevents.com, Media Shield Act, Democrats vote to allow protections to media outlets that leak classified information, with no regard for putting our troops in danger, as the NSA’s terrorist surveillance program revealed by the New York Times or the CIA’s secret terrorist jails revealed by the Washington Post. Can you imagine this happening during any previous war?

Language is being added in the must-pass defense spending bill to raise the debt ceiling by $1.8 trillion to almost $14 trillion.

Corruption and tax evasion by government officials are being swept under the rug. Bribing Congressmen for votes as we saw with Sen. Mary Landrieu in the health care vote seems to be par for the course.

President Obama is going to Copenhagen to sign a Climate treaty, despite missing and possibly fraudulent data and murky science.

President Obama has appointed numerous czars with Communist, Socialist and Marxist leanings, in addition to Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings who is anything BUT safe.

Congress votes on billion and trillion dollar bills without reading or understanding what they are voting for. The bills are frequently rushed through in the dead of night for fear the public will learn the details of the bill.

The proposed health care bills, involving a takeover of one-sixth of our economy, are written and discussed behind closed and locked doors, despite Obama and Pelosi’s promises of the most transparent government EVER. As of this writing it is unclear if taxpayers will be forced to fund abortions, despite Obama’s protestations to the contrary.

After Obama loudly proclaimed he would sign no bills with any pork, the massive stimulus bill and Federal budget were passed with frivolous, embarrassing and ridiculous pork projects. The new omnibus spending bill is full of earmarks and will undoubtedly expand the deficit even further.

While alienating our allies and appeasing our enemies, President Obama continues to apologize for the US and bow before world leaders.

Biased mainstream media reports only the news pleasing to their agenda. They either ignore or mock news unfavorable to the current administration. After applauding angry protesters of the Bush/Cheney administration, MSM and leaders on the Left now ridicule and scorn protesters who are exercising their free speech rights to express disapproval with the Obama/Reid/Pelosi administration.

Terrorists will be given the opportunity to spew their propaganda in New York Civilian Court and have access to classified documents, while Navy Seals are being court-martialed. Miranda rights will be given to terrorists captured on the battlefield, possibly including Osama Bin Laden.

Beginning the day after she was selected as the Vice Presidential candidate in 2008, Sarah Palin, highly regarded Governor of Alaska, and her entire family were raked over the coals by the mainstream media and many on the Left. Why the irrational, venomous hatred? Perhaps they know she has the personal strength of character, charisma and common sense to return the US to the principles we were founded on. Would dictators around the world be so quick to threaten us and our allies if they were dealing with President Palin?
I think not!

The 9/11 Never Forget Coalition, a diverse group of 9/11 victims, family members, first responders, active and reserve members of the military, veterans, and concerned Americans, is holding December 5th rally protesting the plan to bring the 9/11 terrorist conspirators to trial in New York City.

The Coalition formed to fight the decision of President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to try the 9/11 co-conspirators in New York City’s federal court, effectively giving war criminals the same rights as American citizens while endangering the safety of all New Yorkers.

Two weeks ago, a letter was signed by 300 family members of 9/11 victims to the President, Attorney General and Defense Secretary Robert Gates asking them to reverse course. The letter has now been signed by over 120,000 Americans.

Debra Burlingame, founder of 911 Families for a Safe and Strong America, said “Our rally on Saturday, December 5 will tell Attorney General Eric Holder, President Barack Obama and their supporters in Congress: We will fight you all the way! ”

HAS THE OBAMA MAGIC WORN OFF?

Nov. 5, 2008 I received an email from a young family member describing his jubilation at the results of the election:

“The cops blocked off the streets for us and everyone sang, cheered, and went crazy. Yes, some were pretty intoxicated, but I have never hugged so many random people. I love this city. I love this country.”

Today I wonder, are the people still singing in the streets, or wondering when they will find a job?

Some will never find fault with Obama. When a friend read my blog about Obama’s failure to meet with General McChrystal, Commander of US forces in Afghanistan, she responded, "Maybe it’s not that Obama doesn’t have time for McChrystal, maybe he just doesn’t like him". As if that absolved Obama of his responsibility in Afghanistan. Never mind Obama only spoke with McChrystal once after appointing him and had no chance to decide he didn’t like him.

Do Americans like Chicago-style politics? They are starting to get an eyeful of Chicago-style politics on full display in this White House, and time will tell how long the Americans will accept this thuggish, unpresidential behavior.

According to Rasmussen, Obama’s poll numbers have dropped from highs after the election. As of this writing

"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 29% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends)."

"Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove. The President’s total approval has been very stable, staying between 47% and 49% every day for two full weeks. Looking back a bit further, his ratings have stayed between 45% and 52% every day for nearly four months."

October 24 Rasmussen Reports poll shows American voters trust Republicans over Democrats on 10 key electoral issues:

• Health Care: Democrats 40%, Republicans 46%
• Education: Democrats 38%, Republicans 43%
• Social Security: Democrats 37%, Republicans 45%
• Taxes: Democrats 35%, Republicans 50%
• Economy: Democrats 35%, Republicans 49%
• Abortion: Democrats 35%, Republicans 47%
• Immigration: Democrats 33%, Republicans 40%
• National Security: Democrats 31%, Republicans 54%
• Iraq: Democrats 31%, Republicans 50%
• Government Ethics: Democrats 29%, Republicans 33%

Considering the euphoria over Obama’s election, the overwhelming response to the Nobel Peace Prize was ridicule. People felt that Obama either didn’t deserve it or it was too early and maybe some day he will have earned it. According to Gallup, 61% felt his prize was undeserved.

Does Obama still draw the enormous fainting crowds he did before the election?

According to Jules Crittenden, a Boston Herald editor,

“The recently elected Democratic President of the United States can’t fill a room in bluest Massachusetts. Surveying the nearly half-empty Westin Copley ballroom, 2008 “Yes We Can” Hope-and-Changer Barack Obama says on behalf of his longtime political doppelganger Deval Patrick, who in 2006 was the “Together We Can” template O drew on:

“There really should be no doubt that this guy gets a second term. But let’s be honest. This is going to be a tough race … ”

Before and just after the election, you couldn’t walk into Borders without being inundated with shelves and shelves of Obama books, written by him and others. Now how many Obama books are on the bestseller lists? Instead you find Conservative books, by Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Dick Morris, and Sarah Palin on all Bestseller lists. Chris Matthews has obviously noticed and doesn’t seem to like it!

Are Americans Capitalists at heart, or are they Socialist and Marxist sympathizers? Acorn, Van Jones, Mark Lloyd, Carol Browner, Anita Dunn and Kevin Jennings all combine to give us the image of a President who appears to be what those of us suspected when we heard the rantings of Obama's 20-year pastor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

Obama was promoted as a post-partisan president, yet this post-partisan president has made an enemies list including the US Chamber of Commerce, health insurers and Fox.

The attempt by the White House to restrict free speech and a free press by banning Fox from the news pool and intimidating the other networks backfired and averted a possible constitutional crisis, thereby exposing the Obama team as the bullies they are.

Americans are beginning to notice that Obama’s rhetoric while still a candidate has not matched his presidency:

What happened to Obama's pledge for the most transparent government ever? Everybody was going to sit together around the table. Instead Democrats meet behind locked doors, and locks are changed.

Obama appears to think his very magnetism is all he needs to govern the country and persuade the world to be nice to us. His overuse of the Teleprompter has become a joke. Is it possible his arrogance and narcissism are starting to become unattractive to all but his most ardent fans?
