No News is Good News

I am going to be out of the loop for the next two weeks to two months because I am moving my family half-way across the country to live near my wife's family. I hope to be able to write some on this move and getting the kids enrolled in a new school district. I will strive to have the third book done by summer of 2013. I wish you all well.

Delays

There has been a delay in the third book. It will not be released anytime this year but I do hope to have it done next year sometime. I am working on brainstorming ideas and how everything in the saga is going to fit together. I will keep you all informed on my progress as time goes on. Writing has been one of the best things in my life. I love to do it and it is never a burden to me. I hope when I get everything settled once again That I will have more time to devote to my craft.

New Year and New Beginnings

New Year, New Beginning

With this year being almost done, I would just like to say that 2011 has been very interesting for me and my family to say the least. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Year. 2012 is sure to be an interesting time so please take the time to reflect on 2011 and remember all who were lost in battles in far away lands. Please be kinder and love more with this up coming year because right now that is what the world needs.

Book Four

I got some work done on book Four last night alone with another book that is now in the works. Everything seems to be flowing a great deal better as of late. I am enjoying my time with my family and being able to write when I get the chance to. I hope to be able to put out another book by next Christmas at least.

More Work Has Been Done

I worked on Book three to the series today a little bit before the wife told me to get off the computer. I have over came my writers block that I have had for the past month. I am also glade that the Christmas season is upon us. I love this time of year. It seems to help bring out the creative side of me.

Veterans' Day 2011

First and foremost I want to thank all our brave men and women who are still in harms ways for protecting us 365 days a year. I would also like to thank all the Veterans that have served our country honorably. I also want to mention all the soldiers who made the biggest sacrifice and lay down their lives for this country in its time of need.

Veterans' Day hold a special place in my heart. My family has a great deal of military members who have served in all branches. I am direct line third generation Weber who had served his country. I served, my Dad served, and my Grandfather served and may he rest in peace. My Grandfather Weber served during WWII and the Korean War. My father served during the Cold War era but he had a brother who served in Vietnam. I served in Iraq with two combat deployments and a total of 27 months between the two.

I have a great deal of family on my mother's side of the family that have served as well. I had two cousins who served in Iraq as well and they both are currently out of the Army. They got out after I did and I am currently on temp medical retirement from the Army due to some issues that were caused by the service to my country.

Update on New Books

It seems that book four is going to be done before book three. I am having some writers block with book three but I know where I want to go with it. Book four seems to be just writing itself. If this happens I will release book four before book three because book four can stand on its own and make sense.

Episode 3

Episode 3 Under the Sands is completed. I am feeling good about this new addition to the cartoon series. I hope to continue to grow and become better at this art form. I will post the cartoons now as they are done because of being back at the daily grind and not having as much time as I did when my son was in the hospital and I was staying with him. Please be patient as I go through this transition.

Slow Going

Working on Episode 3 just not coming along as fast as I wish it could. I will hopefully have it posted by next Friday. I have just had too much stuff going on the past two weeks and haven't had as much time as I would like to do things.

Am I Still Writing More Books for the Series?

This is a question I have got asked just recently and the answer to the question is yes. There is still so much story worked out in my head that it is going to take time to get it all out and to edit it. I will try to have a new addition to the series in about a year; year and a half. The next book after that may be sooner because I am further along on the forth book then I am on the third book.

I also have other books to the series in outline format. The outline is very general and allows me a great deal of creative room. There are times that I total disregard the outline because the story flows better.

One Year Mark

I am quite please to say that this blog has almost hit it one year mark this month. The actual year mark is at the end of the month then towards the beginning. I am glad that my readers who were there with me from the beginning are still here and I also want to say welcome to any new or semi-new viewers. The blog is going to continue on and I hope to make it better as time goes on. I have taken a short break from the mini-cartoons I was making and I am not currently writing on any of the projects. I am just taking the time and enjoying life at the moment and starting some smaller projects to try and help get my name out there as much as possible.

When am I going to start my normal operations back up again?

I have not really decided on when or what will be the first thing I am going to tackle when I get back to these projects that I am letting simmer on the back burner. I just hope to bring quality reading to each and everyone of you. I want to know that you are enjoying what you are reading and hopefully what I am writing.

Saturday Will Post

I should be posting the latest installment of Galactic Quest Cartoons here when I get up on Saturday. I will post it before dinner. I feel that it turn out a little bit better then the first three short cartoons. This one is going to be a bit longer then I expected but that is okay. It takes you right up to the end of chapter 2 of the first book. This has been a great deal of fun for me and I hope that everyone gets a chance to see these cheesy cartoons.

Episode2 part 3

Episode 2 part 3 is reaching its final stages. I am transferring the images to pictures and then into the movie maker. I still have to write the script for the dialogue which won't take long because of it being based off the first book. The voices will not be too much of a problem but I will have to make more sound effects. I think I am starting to get the hang of this.

Fourth Cartoon Going Great

I have made some changes to the characters in the fourth cartoon. They are able to do a great deal more then just slide across the screen now. They can talk move their legs and arms and some can move more then that. This project is coming along quite well. I am still sticking to my Friday deadline and will not post before then. This particular cartoon may be longer then some of the other cartoons because of that amount of time I have to work on it and It should also be a great deal better quality too. As with writing there is also growing pains with cartoon making and I am enjoying this experience a great deal!

Mini-Cartoons

My mini-cartoons will only be published once a week from now on. You should see a new cartoon every Friday or Saturday. I am doing some adjusting to what all the characters can do. I hope to make them more animated with speech and with movement.

A New Beginning

This is a time for rebirth and renewal for this and many of my other sites. I would like to apologies to my readers about how I was conducting myself and this blog. I should not use this as a venting point nor should I post things unrelated to the series here. I will do my best to keep you all in mind when I write these posts.

"Galactic Quest" is just more than some project to me. I view it as I would a child and how it is going to be the only thing to stand the test of time. My main objective is to bring a good story to my readers.

I also know great deals of you are like what is Sci-Fi/Fantasy? Sci-Fi/Fantasy is a combination of the two groups. It takes the elements from each book classification and melds it together. For example some cities in the book would be something from ancient history in earth and have many of the same lore as those times. Other races my still have that flair but have new style technology that you would only think would exist in a Sci-Fi book.

In "Galactic Quest: White Wizard Weapon" there are magic users and technologically advanced civilizations that magic is a foreign concept to them. Other beings embrace both technology and magic. I have put some mythological creatures along the way in the book and I have also made up some alien races. What the book boils down to is there are two warring factions trying to get their hands on the pieces of this ancient weapon before the other does. If this weapon was to fall into the wrong hands and was assembled then it could mean the end of everything as the Counsel and the team knows it.
