Long time no blog my friends ;)
This have been very interesting project, website for Metal design company. Raffis Metal Design walked in to web world for a first time and I'm glad to help them learn about it. It's was a learning process for me as well, learning how to communicate and educate client is a bit complicated. Its a lot information to handle for some one who only knows how to check they email, you might took few web design classes, but client need to learn most of it in few meetings with you.

Raffi have been wonderful client and I'm so happy to bring him out to big world of web design.

Linda Kenmore Logo

Baby steps are getting stronger and bigger, with every project I learn more about working client shoulder to shoulder and getting 100 % satisfaction. My resent client Linda Kenmore, founder of Peacock Gypsy Lamps. Her hand made lamps are one of a kind master pice, you can feel part of the artist in her beautiful creations. She came to me very well prepared, with very inspiring collection of a images that helped me to get inside of Linda mind to create her one of a kind logo.

Love confessions to San Francisco.

I finally realize what city I'm in love with in California. Most of you know about my love to Pasadena but not many of you know what a special place in my heart; San Francisco. I never was able to confess about this secret love, when I was going thru my pictures from last year trip it finally hit me, I'm in love with San Francisco. I can’t describe in words what makes me happy there, but I can show you thru my pictures why my heart skips heart beat when I think about it.

Magic World Map.

About a month ago I posted beginnings of "Magic World Map". As life goes on, work is over powering creative time, I had to place hold on finishing this project.

And yesterday was the day when I had to finish it now or never. I did a lot of thinking about colors, should I use colors of each country? But in a big picture we all the same beings. And no colors or borders can separate us as humans.

Royal Cat Furniture Logo

I'm a cat owner and could not be more happier to work with client who sales cat furniture.

And guess who is a model for this logo? Yes my baby Eva

(At this moment, Eva grew out of her dress and finished with modeling)

Identity is still in development stage and color part of it, that is why I will show you only black and white options that did not make it in finals, but deep inside I'm still in love with few of them :)

I have to be honest about time, I feel like I get sense of time better by looking at the regular clock. I always wonted to have clock hanging on top of my desk and last week between work projects I was able to finish "Baby G clock".

I got this cute simple clock from Good Will store

They was easy to open and replace background.

(yes this little character is cute, but not exactly what I like to see)

And now I have the perfect clock on top of my desk, what time is it now?

It's always Baby G time.

NASA (National Auto Sport Association) track day at California Speed Way. This was a day when I wish I can do this as often as I can. I has so much fun that day on a track and probably would had million more pictures if my battery would not give up on me.

I think I might have this picture printed for my studio.

I always admire people who is passionate about they hobby.

Yes I was standing right on a start line, it's was best feeling ever, fear from loud engines run true my bones for a second, but happiness and joy was much stronger than that.

How did I end up there? My husband like to race his car and his talented friend Pedro was filming that day.

He asked me to take few pictures of him working. And I got to fallow him in to cool places on a track. And this is how I got a chance to take pictures from start line behind a camera.

I kind of edited few pictures for my blog, I would love to share them with you in raw, so you can get a feel of my awesome day at the track and uploaded them to my Smug Mug page. Have fun ;)

Times flying so fast...

I don't judge people by they education level, there is so many creative and talented people with out any education due to they finances or any other reason. Why do I celebrate everything in my life? Looking back from where I came from makes me appreciate every baby step achievement.

Times flying so fast, a bit over two years ago I was shopping for art supplies, picking up tracing paper and all kind of pens for new semester. And I saw this beautiful leather binder for portfolio, new smell of it got me thinking of that day when I will be adding my art work to it and pricy tag on it did not stop me from getting it. And with blink of an eye this day is today with Graphic Design certificate in my hands.

I really love what I do and celebrate every moment of it. I would love to share with you my little story. After school finished, most of clients projects is in finished stage and I have more time to work on my art. I was shopping for frames, but not just any kind of frame, something that screams my name. I new there is one frame store by the name United Picture & Frame Co next to my house and decided to stop by. I meet the owners Mark and Alan, start asking about frames and prices and Mark asked me what king of work I do, and I show him my website. I noticed they have one big wall dedicated to framed art work for sale by local talented artist. And I ask Mark if he would be interested in hanging my art on that beautiful wall. And not only he was agree to that, Mark and Alan hang it in a window of they store. Thank you!

Creating "Blooming Bows".

This weekends I dedicated to creativity. I like to restore thinks, reupholster furniture, make earrings or do something creative for my self to clear my mind. I stop by at local Goodwill store on Saturday, I always find something interesting for me to work with and picked up plain black frame with a bit uncommon size 7.5 x 19.

I use gold wrapping paper as a background for my art work. But frame look a bit plain to me and I decided to do something fun with it. I have a lot of cute flower beads left from old project and they was waiting to be used for something fun.

I used Epoxy to glue them together.

Than I had to lay them out first to see if the will fit and will not over lap each other at the end. And like any magical creative idea this one was men to be, every single flower was in its perfect place. I get even more exited to finish it same day when every thing take it's place.

After beads are took it's place I glue them one by one with Epoxy, you might think its took me for ever, but to be honest its did not took me a long time, working with Epoxy you have to have work a speed of light, its a very good glue, but gets dry very fast. After all flowers glued I moved to painting them with black acrylic.

Here what I used to create this project.

Epoxy, black acrylic, black ink, gold wrapping paper, silver ink, ink penn.

Once my frame was done, I got even more exited to work on my drawing for special frame.

I call this illustration "Blooming Bows".

Fun 40x60 canvas project.

I have been working on fun project, which I would love to reveal in about few weeks. It's a 40 x 60 canvas, what it's will be used you will see it later and promise will not disappoint you. I will give you a little idea what will be on it ;) Pink and Black paint and Gold Leaf in some details. Working with Gold Leaf is a lot of fun, takes a lot of time, but with passions and love I made it work and thinking Gold Leafing everything in a house. I call this jumbo project "Pink Garden".
Here is idea of how big it is, working with it made me feel so small, and my apartment turned in to tiny art cave.

I love when I find a purpose for a extra thinks, I had this frame and small left over of golden wrapping paper from Holidays, and extra sample of nice print from my art Portfolio. I think its working so well between lap that I made and my computer. I cant wait for art area to expend, ideally I would love to have art studio and will decorate with refurbished vintage furniture and have a lot of open work areas. I have such a strong vision of it, I can describe you every corner :)

I'm keep working on my portfolio and have amazing pictures from republic of Abkhazia. And I always wonted to sit down and do something fun and express it in the way how it feels in that beautiful and giving republic. I finish working on two of them and will be uploading to my website.

On image "Lihni Church" I did not like the sky. I collect pictures of clouds, if I have my camera next to me and blue sky covered with cotton candy clouds, I would take several pictures of them. And look how handy they became, for sure will use them in a future projects.

Some of you might say they are a bit over exaggerated, but this is the way I see that place in my dreams, frozen in time and unforgettable dramatic past.

creative G design website is finally finished. Its took a lot of time going thru my work, but kind of give me a chance to look at at my work with fresh eye and I remind my self how far I got from first day in class two year ago :) For sure I got so much to learn, but I love what I do and learning more comes to me with a lot of joy. I'm planing to wrap my car, I have been thinking about it for few month, and tonight was able to open some files in Illustrator. After I got some ideas for back window, I remembered I had picture of my car from car wash. Open it in Photoshop and Boom! Not bad?

My husband Gary is very simple man, with amazing experience and honest heart. He need it a business card, and asked me to came up with something clean and not complicated. After few samples that I present it to him, he made choice on this one. For any of my friends who is graduating or still in school, I would highly recommend to play clients game with your friends or who ever you designing for, for free or for any kind of pay. Helps you to become a better creative mind with help of your client.

I still can't believe school is over. For now my goal to finish my website and portfolio. Between few clients, work on my art and some tutorials on www.lynda.com I'm trying to see how my website will look like, one thing for sure I will surprise you my friends.

Here is my latest play time project. I heard about do it your self toys and picked up one in Blick art store. I used felt tip marker and have to spray it with clear coat for it to stay well. Here is my forest little friend in home made studio on my desk ... Clever huh ?
