Hit-Ball (just like its name clearly suggests) is a simple "hit the ball" game based on a common idea: the user needs to shoot a ball, with precision, and hit random balls spread all over the place. Of course, these balls are protected by walls and you need to find a proper path in order to successfully hit and destroy them. Each ball you destroy will earn you points. The faster you do that, the more points you will earn.

There are a few options the user can select. First, he can choose how many balls he must hit in order to win. The value can be between 10 and 400. Also, he can select a "re-spawn" timer which can be between 0.5 seconds and 5 seconds.

Also, the new version 1.20 brought us the levels 1-6 to play, and it proved the concept of building more and complex challenges, making it more fun to play.

Here are the level screenshots:

Level 1: no borders, no walls.

Level 2: borders, no walls.

Level 3: borders, crazy wall in "V"

(reflection isn't natural, but funny).

Level 4: borders, walls in "cross".

Level 5: borders, walls in "double cross".

Level 6: borders, walls in "double fork".

Also the level, points and number of balls are displayed to the bottom bar of the game.

Hit-Ball :: Java Game

The Hit-Ball is a very simple and fun game.

The goal of the game is to remove all the colorful balls (which appear randomly) from the screen by shooting them. There is a set of "barriers" that can be used for reflecting the fire to hit the hidden balls.

Firing the white balls can be done by clicking on <SPACE> key, or double-clicking with the mouse.

For each ball removed from the screen you get points, which have bigger importance if you do it very fast.

The number of balls-to-kill and frequency of the ball appearance can be selected by those 2 sliders controls from the top-left of the toolbar. These changes are effective only when the game is 'paused'.

The game can be paused, and obviously resumed after it was paused.

There is no 'save' feature yet.

The target balls are:

SpongeBob SquarePants, Partick Starfish,

Squidward Tentacles, Sandy Chicks, Mr Krabs and Plankton.

Hint: holding the SPACE key will fire the white balls in the burst mode ... doing so, you can finish the game quickly.

Instructions:

- 1. Download "Hit-Ball" version that you want, by clicking on one of the above links and then "Save" to your computer.

- 2. The Windows installer is practically a "next-next-next" wizard.

- 3. This application requires the Java Runtime Env. (JRE >= 1.6.0_16) - and if you don't have it - don't worry, the installer will propose to download it, directly from the Oracle website

- 4. Start the application from Start > All Programs > Sorinel Cristescu (SCC) > Hit-Ball > Hit-Ball
