BioShock Infinite is the much anticipated first-person shooting video-game that follows up Irrational Games' breakout success with the original Bioshock. Beautiful visuals, pitch perfect audio and intelligent level design create a world you'll want to explore. That is to say, to the untrained eye this looks and feels like any other video-games released this year.

i have never been to Disneyland and always assumed that i'd hate it if i did, so it was refreshing to have my instincts confirmed by Kinect Disneyland Adventures, which is now almost certainly as close to the experience as i will ever by free choice come. however, whilst i thought i'd dislike it because of all the twee sparkles, menacing, giant, wide-eyed Disney character-employees with their painted-on smiles and the gender-essentialist, plastic-crap paraphernalia i'd be put under pressure to leave with, what i actually discovered in this game, however, was in fact far more sinister.

to mark this year's Hallowe'en i treated myself to a festival of horror stories, movies and games, the eerie creeping, delicious jumps and gruesome oozes of many of which are still fresh in my psyche. alas, my task here is to tell tale of one of the more forgettable experiences of the season.

Videogames aren't famous for telling stories. They prefer to engage heart and mind with agency and interaction. Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception folds this premise back on itself in an effort to combine storytelling and action. What results is a game that is about more than shooting, clambering and saving the world.
