Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a brand new action-RPG coming out of a brand new game studio. The box art doesn’t give a lot of clues as to what it contains, and the newcomers 38 Studios are untried and untested in the video games industry. Co-developers Big Huge Games lend a bit of weight to it, but it’s the cast of associated people that really bring the interest. R.A. Salvatore takes the helm in creating the world and lore, while Todd McFarlane lends his unique touch to the graphics. On top of that, Ken Rolston lends his considerable talents from the Elder Scrolls series, while Grant Kirkhope does the music. With a cast of characters that wide, how can the game not be good?

A Beautiful World

McFarlane’s graphics are vibrantly colorful and a pleasure to look at. Combined with the fluidity of the animations and the dynamic nature of combat, the game is simply a visual treat. It’s not super-realistic like some games. In fact, it’s really more reminiscent of World of Warcraft or other vaguely cartoonish MMOs. Everything is awash in bright colors and it’s quite a stark contrast from the box art. It’s easy to say the game is just plain pretty.

The game’s MMO-ish style is very much intentional, for one primary reason. Curt Schilling set out to make an MMO in the beginning, and the game eventually morphed into the Amalur we see today. It’s not an MMO, but it feels like it could be one if it only had a few million more players. In fact, the entire Amalur world was designed for a pan-media release, involving toys, books, comics and other games — even an MMO in the future. So it makes sense that the graphical style reflects this.

An Amazing Experience

Gameplay is where Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning really shines. The founder of 38 Studios, Curt Schilling, stated that he wanted a game somewhere between God of War and Oblivion. What he got is almost exactly what he wanted.

Combat is the forte of Amalur. There are three skill trees to choose from, following the typical RPG conventional roles. They are the warrior archetype, the stealth archetype, and the mage archetype. Amalur gives you plenty of room to choose, however. You can put points into any tree at any time, and if you don’t like your choices you’re free to reset all your points and put them in different skills entirely. This is good for a number of reasons. Not only do you never have to create a new character so you can experience the game differently, but it also allows you to change up your play experience on a whim with little repercussions.

The only thing a re-spec might cause is some outdated equipment, but the array of secondary skills allows you to create and enhance your items for your new classes as well. Putting all these skills to use is where the fun lies in the game. Combat is always enjoyable, whether you’re shooting a poisoned arrow at a monster in the distance, slamming a sword into their face, or dropping meteors from the sky onto their heads. Encounters with enemies are a treat.

A Forgotten Realm

The plot, characters, lore, and world designed for Amalur are very much the brainchild of Schilling and Salvatore. Schilling set out to make a game as full of fantasy as he could, and Salvatore is, well, Salvatore. If you like him and his fantasy style, you’ll like the game. If his cliches and done to death tropes annoy you, you’ll find Amalur is a bland, shallow reality.

Dialogue usually has multiple options, but they generally all return to the same place. Your choices don’t mean much, despite the game harping on how you’re the one person capable of defying fate. Fate is a huge central theme, but the world’s inhabitants seem to take it in stride. None of the characters are all that memorable, and the lore of the world itself is so very much a Salvatore Fantasy World that you practically expect to see Drizzt around the next corner.

All Together

When taken as a whole, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a great game marred by overly cliche writing and a rather poor marketing department. The gameplay is the real selling point, with smooth and enjoyable combat taking the forefront. The world is large and open, filled with quests and dungeons, but they tend to be standard fantasy fare. Kill a dozen doom wolves, hunt down my lost ring, and other such quests are the norm. It makes sense when you consider the game was meant to be an MMO initially, but it’s not. Without the social aspect a MMO offers, what you’re left with is a fun experience with a forgettable plot.

Fortunately, the gameplay is an excellent reason to play the game. While you might want to check out a demo before you commit to a purchase, there’s more than enough content to keep you busy for almost as long as Skyrim will. And really, who cares that a bland NPC told you to kill a hundred skeletons, if killing those skeletons is a genuinely enjoyable experience? The bottom line is, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is well worth checking out.

The Darkness was an interesting title when it came out in 2007. Based on the Top Cow comic book of the same name, it told the dark and tragic story of Jackie Estacado, a hitman of the Franchetti crime family, and how he came into possession of an ancient evil power known only as the Darkness. With the demonic powers at Jackie’s disposal, and the heavy emphasis on a story that blended mafia drama with urban fantasy, it proved to be a hit. Now, nearly six years later, the sequel has finally arrived. Does The Darkness II prove to a worthy successor? Read on.

The first thing you should notice about The Darkness II is that it looks different. Unlike the first game, which aimed for a more realistic look, the sequel instead implements cel-shading to its visuals. This might be a little oft-putting if you liked the brooding aesthetic of the first game, but the new graphics are still very good on their own merits. They serve as a nice throwback to the franchise’s comic book origins, and are every bit as atmospheric and grisly as fans should expect. The animation is just as good, staying intense and frenetic throughout. Seeing your demonic tendrils rip thugs apart in a variety of gruesome ways is a real hoot that never gets old.

Watching the action unfold on the screen is fun, because unfortunately the gameplay does not hold up as well as its predecessor. Don’t take that the wrong way, it isn’t bad at all; many aspects of it have actually dramatically improved. The pace is much faster, guns are useful this time, you’ve got even more crazy powers at your disposal, and you can even use the environment to your advantage. The big problem, though, is that it just doesn’t feel all that unique from the dozens of other shooters on the market. The Darkness II eschews most of the first game’s open levels in favor of more typical linear stages that see fit to simply toss as many foes at you as possible. It doesn’t help that the enemy AI in particular is pretty boneheaded as well, making for a pretty monotonous experience.

Luckily, even if the enemies are dumb, there are plenty of ways to dispatch them. You can simply let your guns do the talking and dual wield them if you so choose. In order to succeed though, you need to utilize your powers. At the start, the arms can thrash people around like oversized whips, throw objects, create makeshift bullet shields, and grab enemies to execute any number of spectacular finishers. Later on, Jackie can unlike even more powers from an extensive skill tree, which makes things get even crazier!

Gameplay is only one part of the equation for The Darkness. Story is the other and thankfully it holds up well. It picks up two years after the first game, with Jackie as the new don of the family. Unfortunately, when it looks like things are starting to get better for our antihero, they take a sudden turn for the worst. While dining at his favorite restaurant, a rival syndicate suddenly attacks with the intent to take the Darkness for themselves using any means necessary. Injured and outgunned, Jackie is left with no choice but to reawaken the evil power within him, find out who these guys are, and stop them. Amidst this chaos, however, Jackie can’t help but notice the ghost of his old flame, Jenny, wherever he goes. Which begs the question: Is there a way he can be reunited with her?

The story of The Darkness II is not quite as oppressive as the one in the original, but it’s still very good. The characters are likable and sympathetic, even if they are unrepentant criminals, and there’s a lot of emotional drama to be found, particularly whenever Jenny appears on the screen. Most impressive is how the game seldom strays from the perspective of Jackie, giving it an especially personal touch. The story, if nothing else, does an excellent job at helping The Darkness II stand out from the crowd of first-person shooters.

In addition to the single-player campaign, The Darkness II also features a multiplayer section. This is not just a random assortment of maps thrown together; it has its own plot that runs concurrently with the single player story. Up to four players can team up as mobsters working for Jackie, with each one having a unique Darkness-induced ability. It’s an interesting spin on the concept, and can add a few more hours to the experience, as The Darkness II is sadly lacking in longevity as it is, but it’s not all that long or deep in and of itself.

In the end, The Darkness II is a little on the short side, the levels are linear, and the action, though energetic, is pretty typical for the genre. However, for all its faults, it still knows how to be fun, has a great story that never lets up, and a multiplayer campaign that, while not much by itself, is nevertheless a neat little extra. If you’re a fan of the first game or the comic book, or are at least in the mood for a story-based shooter, you can’t go wrong with The Darkness II.

Soul Calibur V is one of the modern fighting games that is finally doing things right. From its regular story mode to its vs. mode and from its drive-through Quick Battle mode to its epic Legendary Souls mode, the fighting in Soul Calibur V feels like what we think virtual fighting should feel like!

One of our absolute favorite aspects of this game is its online mode. Online gameplay flows smoothly, is not buggy, and is actually far superior to most other online game experiences, even those offered by the other big players in the game world. Your connection strength is measured with five bars, and as long as you and your opponents can keep your connections above the three bar mark, you will have an effortless, glitch-free match. Even two bar players are not entirely unacceptable.

In online mode, you are given a number of highly-customizable search options to help you match up with the opponent that is right for you. Search criteria may include connection strength, player level, and even region for those of us who like to occasionally indulge in local matches.

Soul Calibur’s character creation system is another of the game’s high points. No other fighting game comes even close to Soul Calibur’s character creation flexibility, and if you like to tweak the heck out of your gladiators, no other game will satisfy your urges as fully. Besides the vast array of clothing options, Soul Calibur V has an incredible amount of scalable effects that can add an extra X factor to any fight. You can also change characters’ colors, body sizes, and emblems as well as add stickers and other loony extras. You can really get some amazing, funny, and wacky results if you want to and are determined.

We weren’t completely thrilled about Soul Calibur V’s story mode. Although past incarnations of the game have been heavy on plot, Soul Calibur V settles for the bare bones of a surface excuse for a story, choosing instead to emphasize the action, the characters, and the match ups. The usual character and fate intertwining is glaringly absent as are a few of the most interesting characters themselves. Still, when you are offered such epic and heart stopping battles as the ones featured in Soul Calibur V, who really needs a good excuse to fight them?

When you can’t find anyone else to play with, Soul Calibur V still gives you plenty of things to do besides its story mode. The Legendary Souls mode will entice you with its peculiar charms, and the Arcade mode can help you let off some steam. Even the Quick Battle mode is an ever-present and highly-addictive solution to a few minutes of boredom. These varied features give single players plenty of action-packed reasons to quit sitting around twiddling their thumbs and begin twiddling their thumbs on the game’s controls.

The changes Soul Calibur V has made to its fighting times are understandable, intelligent, and obviously for the better. The game features the introduction of a super meter, which is a special bit of extra power that accumulates during play. Once their super meter has enough juice in it, players can use this extra power to perform what are known as Critical Edge moves. Critical Edge moves have been known to demolish as much as a quarter of an opponent’s health or even more sometimes. Enough power in your super bar can make some of your moves unblockable and enhance other special moves to the point where you will become known as a serious force to reckon with. These moves may require, however, a slightly longer time to execute.

Your defensive options have also been considerably expanded. Fighters can now block any standard move regardless of how tall or short they are. Blocking is a little more complicated this time around, though, requiring a bit more mastery than usual. Other enhanced defensive options include a new move that can cut down your recovery time considerably when defending and a quick side step move that will allow you to dodge those bullying, frontal attacks.

All your favorite Soul Calibur characters are featured in this release, including Ivy, Tira, Voldo, and Cervantes. There are also plenty of new characters for you to explore, including Patroklos and Pyrrha, the son and daughter of former Soul Calibur fighter, Sophitia. There are three special fighters known as mimic characters, who are able to mimic the moves and fighting styles of other characters in the Soul Calibur universe. We’ll leave the unlockable characters a mystery for now, but believe us when we say that they will be worth your time and attention.

On the whole, Soul Calibur V is a fun and fierce romp in the world of fighting games, and we give especially stellar marks to its online mode. If you are unfamiliar with the Soul Calibur franchise, V is a great place to start. Newcomers will be drawn in to the world of Soul Calibur quickly and will soon find themselves addicted or worse. Soul Calibur V is best played with friends who are worthy opponents, whether local or far away, and with the right combination of skill, cunning, and a general lack of mercy, a great time can be had by all. Soul Calibur V has done a good job of cutting out its unnecessary elements and adding features that will leave a smile on your face and the blood of your opponents on your hands.

Because of the time travel element of the game, it’s difficult to say how many years have passed between Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2. When the game begins at around three years after its predecessor had ended, many familiar faces appear to be gone for good. Lightning, Snow, Vanille, and Fang are all absent from the scene whether dead, travelling, or encased in crystal.

The game opens with Serah, whom you may remember from Final Fantasy XIII. She was the sister Lightning spent the majority of the game trying to rescue. In this incarnation of the franchise, Serah is haunted by visions of her sister but appears to accept that Lightning will be gone forever. Still, Serah feels compelled to go on a search for Lightning. She remembers details about Lightning’s disappearance that no one else remembers and, armed with these, sets out on the quest that will envelop the majority of Final Fantasy XIII-2.

By Final Fantasy standards and even game standards in general, the story is far too short. Its approximately 25 hours of playing time, however, pack a number of powerfully dramatic punches and plenty of gut-wrenching action. The cinematics are emotional and the battles are thrilling. There is plenty of intrigue in the mind-bending fetch quests, and once again, the game has appeared to accomplish the complete reinvention of itself for which the Final Fantasy franchise has become famous.

We have to admit, we didn’t fall completely head over heels for Final Fantasy XIII-2’s lead character, Serah, like we have with some of the game’s other lead characters. Lightning, for instance, compelled us with her rugged strength, and Vanille made our hearts skip a beat with her dainty girlishness. Serah is a good, solid character, however, with plenty of girlish moments, enough moves to defeat her share of monsters, and a smoldering resolve that keeps her determined to find her sister no matter what.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 features a wealth of sidequests that you can undertake for a bit of extra adventure, a few additional coins, or even just if you’re feeling charitable toward the poor strangers you meet. All the extra sidequests give the game more of an open world feeling than almost any other edition of Final Fantasy. There really seems to be another adventure at every turn. We were happy that Final Fantasy was finally able to bring back that classic feeling of adventure that made it popular in the first place.

But even with such an expansive, open world that extends across space and time, Final Fantasy XIII-2’s goals are extremely focused. No matter how many sidequests you conspire to undertake, there is never any question about what your primary mission is. All the time traveling, paradox fixing, and monster destroying or capturing can’t seem to distract Serah from her thirst to find the whereabouts of her sister. Final Fantasy XIII-2 never forces you, however. It always tend to simply nudge you down the right path, and like a little angel on your shoulder, it will never let you get lost or clueless.

All the enemies, monsters, and bosses in Final Fantasy XIII-2 live up to the standards this franchise has set in its previous games. They are all intriguing in their own way and extremely elaborate by any standards. You will feel a settled, satisfied feeling in the pit of your stomach every time you subdue a new foe, and your confidence will quickly build along with the game’s drama.

Instead of giving you a huge cast of playable characters to keep track of, this version of Final Fantasy keeps it real with three player slots – the two main characters plus a third empty slot that you can fill with whichever captured monster suits your fancy at the time. Almost as if to make up for this smaller cast, the story and the game itself feature an avalanche of settings and options that can keep you engaged for practically as long as you wish.

The combat system is one of our favorite parts of this game. Each battle will earn your characters Crystogen points, which they can then put toward unlocking new and more powerful combat roles. Each combat role comes with its own specialty and will enable your characters in different ways. The various combat roles include the Synergist, which helps with your offense; the Commando, which augments the damage you are able to deal; the Sentinel, which improves your defense; the Saboteur, which makes you a master of poison and spells; and the Medic, which helps you heal faster.

The large array of combat types, roles, and strategies make each battle not only interesting but captivating. There are hundreds of different strategies that you can become a master of, and different monsters are brought down by different strategies. When you complete this game, you will feel like a grand master in the art of war.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a huge improvement on the versions that have come before it. It features a plot that is clearer, cut-scenes that are extravagantly and lusciously rendered, and conversations that are intelligent and fascinating. Collecting monsters can be an addictive aspect of the game. But while the villains are fantastic, the real heart of the game is in the story, which, once again, will not let you down.

While most of us are still trying to take a bite out our 2011 pile of shame, we can’t help but take a look forward to some of the titles we’re most looking forward to playing this year.

Mass Effect 3

The third installment in the Mass Effect gaming universe will offer combat that is both refined and simplified as well as a greater emphasis on the third-person shooter aspects of the game. Saved games from the original Mass Effect game as well as Mass Effect 2 will be able to be imported in order to allow long-time gamers a more familiar and customized experience.

The plot of Mass Effect 3 will pick up where Mass Effect 2 had left off with Commander Shepard facing his upcoming trial due to his actions in the previous games. As the game begins with the trial in session, Earth will suddenly be attacked by hordes of Reapers, and it will be up to the user to escape custody, marshal support from wherever possible, and become a hero by returning Earth to its native species.

BioShock Infinite

Another gaming trilogy with a projected completion date for sometime in 2012 is BioShock Infinite. With a storyline that is not directly related to the previous two installments, BioShock Infinite will, however, feature a concept that is similar to its predecessors, and gameplay will be relatable to users familiar with the BioShock universe.

The game will be set in a floating city named Columbia. Columbia, originally designed as an airborne fair was since revealed to be a complex battleship and consequently disowned by the United States government. Players of this role-playing and first-person shooter game must locate and rescue a kidnapped girl held within the dystopian city and will in the process discover a web of lies and conspiracies.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto’s fifth era, due to be released in 2012, will be set in the fictional city of Los Santos, which is based on modern-day Los Angeles and the California countryside that surrounds it. Although not much is known about the game or the missions it contains, rumors affirm that this fifth era will take off in a brand new direction that many will see as a complete reinvention of the franchise.

No matter how bold the new game turns out to be, players can still expect a concerted focus on making money and building a thriving personal empire in the underworld of a teeming city. A trailer for Grand Theft Auto V has been released online.

The Darkness II

2007’s popular demon-slaying game, The Darkness, will see an exciting sequel in 2012. Although The Darkness II will have similar elements and gameplay as The Darkness, new elements, tactics, and weapons will also be introduced. The Darklings will take a much larger role in this second installment and Jackie, the game’s hero, will now be able to fight them by wielding both regular firearms and the dangerous Darkness itself at the same time.

The Darkness II will be set two years after the first installment of the game when Jackie, now the head of a huge mafia-esque gang, is forced to release The Darkness and take on another of its missions after an assassination attempt leaves him fighting for life.

Max Payne 3

The gaming world’s favorite cynical anti-hero, Max Payne, will return for a third time in 2012. Besides its thrilling cover mechanics and zoom aiming, Max Payne will also once again feature its patented bullet-time sequences that allow the player to move in slow motion and dodge bullets. Max will now be able to stay on the ground after a dive, allowing for better cover and more mobility while fighting.

Projected to be much more realistic than previous versions, Max Payne 3 will feature an older Max wandering in a new city. Mr. Payne has once again been double-crossed and must hunt for both the truth and a way to escape with his life. Max Payne 3 will take place eight years after Max Payne 2.

Halo 4

Halo 4, due to be released late in 2012, will be both the eighth version of Halo to be released and the first in a brand new trilogy of Halo titles. Set after the events of Halo 3, Halo 4 will see the return of the powerful Master Chief as he searches for his destiny in a battle against an ancient and even more powerful foe.

Developers have stated that Halo 4 will focus more on the exploration and mystery aspects of the game and less on the action and fighting. Although there will be plenty of first-person shooting, there will be much more discovery and a much grander scope of gameplay. The game’s main characters will appear with radical changes and a brand new style.

Street Fighter X Tekken

The heroes and villains of Tekken will take on the cast of Street Fighter in this upcoming crossover fighting game with a release date in March, 2012. This game is being produced by the makers of Street Fighter and will feature 2D gameplay in the style of the original Street Fighter games. Although many of the Super Combos and EX Attacks will be based on Street Fighter’s system of six buttons, Tekken characters will be able to perform their familiar four-button combos.

Street Fighter X Tekken will feature fifteen characters from Street Fighter, fifteen from Tekken, and three guest characters. The plot is based around a mysterious object that has recently fallen to Earth, which seems to release some kind of energy when conflicts take place near it.

Twisted Metal

Although projected to have a Valentine’s Day 2012 release date, Twisted Metal has little to do with love, chocolate, or romance, and much to do with missiles, helicopters, and multi-player combat. Twisted Metal will feature various factions fighting against each other to win the famous Calypso Twisted Metal Tournament. This release of Twisted Metal will be set in a different universe than previous releases and will have a completely unrelated storyline.

So far, four characters have been confirmed to appear in 2012’s Twisted Metal – Dollface, the Preacher, Mr. Grimm, and Sweet Tooth. Each of these will have three alternative storylines, which users can select according to their choices.

So, what are you most looking forward to playing this year?

It’s been an awesome year for gamers, there were so many great games released in 2011 that most of us have quite the back-log to work through. A pretty good complaint to have! Let’s take a look at (what we think were) the best games released this year.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

It seems like everyone is playing Skyrim, an epic single player adventure – and everyone has their own unique stories of what makes this game so awesome. Gather round kids and listen to a bunch of gamers swap stories of their Skyrim adventures! Sure there have been some (hilarious) bugs, but they’re being patched all the time. With over 10 million copies shipped it’s also one of the highest selling games of the year.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Quite possibly the best game available on the Wii, a lot of gamers have had to get the old Wii out of the cupboard and dust it off for this title. Despite some obvious padding that sees you revisit already beaten dungeons, it’s a great adventure story with the best use of Wii motion controls for battle yet. An absolute must-play for The Legend of Zelda series fans.

Dark Souls

Not the smash hit that Skyrim is, the darker and ultimately harder adventure game will see you die, a lot. It features some unique aspects such as letting you leave messages in the world for other players, often resulting in serious trolling. This game has likely claimed more broken controllers than any other release this year. But, if you’re up for a challenge, and a total lack of hand holding or instruction at all, this is the game for you.

Gears of War 3

An epic conclusion to the Gears of War series. There is some argument to whether the single player campaign is better than the previous installment, but hands down Gears 3 is the best in terms of multiplayer experience. From the ability to play through the entire campaign with 3 other players, to the new Beast mode and improved Horde mode, it makes for an addictive multiplayer game that you’ll keep going back to.

Batman Arkham City

Arkham City builds on Akham Asylum, keeping all of the awesomeness and adding a few goodies that expand Batman’s arsenal. It is more open world the its predecessor and there is a crazy amount to do if you want to take up all the side missions or find all of the collectibles. If you liked the first game, you should definitely pickup Arkham City.

Modern Warfare 3 / Battlefield 3

Yes we’ve clumped the two biggest shooters together. Let’s face it, your either a Modern Warfare 3 person or a Battlefield 3 person. Both titles offer very brief campaigns, it’s generally accepted that MW3′s campaign is better than BF3. But what most of us play these games for is the online multiplayer – and each shines in it’s own respect. If you’re a call of duty person, pickup Modern Warfare 3. If you’re a Battlefield person, pickup Battlefield 3. If you’re not sure, grab both and you’ll soon discover which you are.

Saints Row the Third

Crazy, insane, unbelievable, bizarre – all typical words used to described Saints Row the Third. Think Grand Theft Auto on acid. Ever beaten someone up with a dildo, fired a shark gun or thrown a fart in a jar at your enemies? No? Do you want to? If so, this is the game for you.

Uncharted 3

The third installment in the Uncharted series takes the formula that has worked so well in the previous games and builds on it. Some people have said it’s just more of the same, others welcome more of the same. If you love action and adventure, loved uncharted 2 or ever wondered what it would be like to play a good Indiana Jones game, this is it.

Portal 2

Portal 2 is the thinking man’s (or women’s) game. Love physics puzzles? You have to play Portal 2. Featuring an awesome, interesting and funny single player campaign that takes you through the history of Aperture, as well as a challenging co-op mode to tackle with a friend, there is plenty to keep you busy and thinking in Portal 2.

Dead Space 2

Possibly the scariest game of the year, Isaac Clarke is back in Dead Space 2. With plenty more jumps, cheap scares and creepy moments that will keep you on edge as you tip-toe around every corner. It includes a less than compelling multiplayer mode, but if you ignore that it’s all good! If you liked the original, you must checkout Dead Space 2.

Xenoblade Chronicles

Another one of the few titles that redeem Wii owners. The immense and immersive Xenoblade Chronicles is sublime and wonderfully paced. It refines and modernises the JRPG (Japanese Roll Playing Game). If you enjoy role playing games, consider this a must-play.

Shadows of the Damned

The product of collaboration between Goichi Suda (Suda51) and Shinji Mikami, Shadows of the Damned combines the styles of the two designers, namely the punk rock edge of the former and the psychological action thriller of the latter. If you want to experience a unique and twisted game, this is the one. I’m sure anyone who’s played it will not soon forget the main character, named Garcia Fucking Hotspur yelling, ‘taste my big boner’ any time soon.

So, we want to know what was your favorite game of 2011 and why?

Delegates at the 31st International Conference of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Red Crescent raised the concerns over the potential “International Humanitarian Law” violations – which can constitute war crimes – during a workshop in Geneva.

“Exactly how video games influence individuals is a hotly debated topic, but for the first time, Movement partners discussed our role and responsibility to take action against violations of IHL in video games,” the Red Cross wrote in its daily bulletin.
