It can be very accurate if fired in short bursts and have double the power if dual wielded. Also it is great at tearing down an opponents shield to nearly dead, and has an extremely fast melee.

However the bad thing is its not very accurate at medium-far range, also it can overheat and although it can tear away the shields it will take ages to actually finish the opponent off.

If you’re using it I recommend having a longer range weapon too, and I like to use it at close range dual wielded so that a melee can be used to finish the opponent off.

So overall it’s an alright gun but there are better guns out there that you would swap this gun for. This works well when you need to use it.

CoD:WAW Guide: Arisaka

The Arisaka is in my opinion one of the best bolt action rifles in CoD:WAW. It has good power, however for other people it seems to be allot weaker, maybe because they do not have very good accuracy and shoot the opponent lower than the chest. This guide is to help you know the exact perks and attachments to use with this gun.

Attachments

The attachments you can get for the Arisaka include: Sniper Scope, Bayonet and Rifle Grenade. Sniper scope increases damage allot, in fact by 40%. Which might be why allot of people find it weak, also with scope, as with all the snipers, you might be surprised to find out that it has the same damage as the PTRS, however the PTRS can tear off limbs. The bayonet just increases melee range which doesn’t have the added damage of the sniper scope, if you wanted a bayonet I’d suggest using another just e.g. M1 Garand. In a game, using bayonet would be useless. Also Rifle Grenade would be useless since you could just use it with Gewehr and have the great damage of it.

Perks

The first perk depends on your gametype, for gametypes where you can respawn frequently, like team deathmatch, headquarters and domination, I would suggest bandolier. For other gametypes like sabotage and search and destroy, you’d probably want bouncing betty’s, since you don’t want people coming up your building and backstabbing you.

For the second perk I recommend stopping power or camouflage. Use stopping power almost all the time, however if you are running about, changing sniping location frequently you may want to choose camouflage to keep hidden.

Steady aim or iron lungs are the obvious choices, steady aim if you’re making a no scope montage and want to impress people watching the kill cam or iron lungs if you struggle battling against your waving crosshair.

So this gun is a great sniper. Almost anyone can use it to completely batter the opponent with the right attachments and perks shown above. So good gaming with your scoped Arisaka.

New Bioshock 2 Screenshots

Recently at Gamespot, they released new Bioshock 2 screenshots, revealing a bit about the game.

Look at these screenshots here

Sensitivity - Boo hoo

One thing that is discussed allot in the FPS genre, is sensitivity. No not how sensitive you are, how sensitive the aiming is and how fast your aim moves.

Now allot of people like to think that having a high sensitivity would give you the edge since you could easily and very quickly just turn around and kill anyone who is shooting at you. This is perfectly true, but if you are not used to the high sensitivity, you will over aim and go past your target. There is not reall reason for having really low sensitivity, unless you're having a laugh.

Hope this helps give some insight on sensitivity and the confusion behind it,

Happy Gaming.

Resident Evil 5 On Wii?

According to Capcom's Associate Product Marketing Manager, resident evil was made for the 360 and PS3, however Wii fans have something to look forward to.

"It was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3," Matt Dahlgren told Joystiq "That being said, Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon."

What do you think this will be? However it does have its disadvantages. It is the first sniper unlocked and has its own preset class. The possible attachments for it are: the sniper scope (unlocked with the gun), bayonet (75 kills) and grenade launcher (150 kills).

Attachments

In my opinion, the Springfield work’s brilliantly with sniper scope, the accuracy can shoot to places rifles, and machine guns cannot get to as easily, and also it can be easy to assault close range gunners from afar. The bayonet is average but I think the lack of sniper scope removes the point of the gun and drastically reduces the chances of getting a kill since it basically has the same range as a rifle, but bolt action with more power. The rifle grenade can be great if you are messing around and want to annoy the opponents in your game lobby. However when the tap runs dry in terms of grenades, you are left with basically a Springfield without any attachments, which sucks.

Perks

For the first perk, I prefer Bouncing Betty’s, to destroy the rushers if you like camping, however Bandolier could work well if you move around allot and are playing in Team Deathmatch, Headquarters, Domination, War, Free For All, or Sabotage. All of the other perks in my opinion would be awkward to use with this gun, bazookas and a sniper don’t exactly mix hey?

The Second perk can make or break your game, in my opinion the one and only perk for this is Stopping Power, it can turn two shots into one and kill people much faster. However if you prefer changing positions to somewhere the opponent can’t see you, Camouflage may be in order, but it would increase the amount of bullets to kill people in particular areas (sometimes even in the chest). In my opinion to use other perks in the slot would be a bit foolish, e.g. Double Tap, Juggernaut, Sleight of Hand, Fireproof, etc.

Steady Aim or Iron Lungs will suffice for the 3rd, green perk slot, many people like to use Martyrdom, Toss Back or Last Stand but I prefer not to, since those two perks rarely actually get kills. However Extreme Conditioning could work well if you like running about with your Springfield. Reconnaissance can work brilliantly in Team Deathmatch and such game types if you get frustrated with the constant artillery bombardment on your camping spot, tank overuse or dogs getting into every nook and cranny.

So the Springfield is a great overall sniper with moderate power, which has a half chance of being two shots per kill. Overall I would give this gun a 7/10. But wouldn’t really use it regularly in any gametype unless I was after challenges.

Thanks for reading and enjoy using your Scoped Springfield with Bouncing Betty’s, Stopping Power, Steady Aim and the Tokarev.

But what do you think? But it will obviously triumph in sales due to the popularity of the Halo series.

Now, there were two parts of the demo, Campaign and Skirmish, I will publish two posts summarizing both types, starting with the Campaign game, and following that by the Skirmish mode.

So, what makes a good campaign? In my opinion the story, game play and vary of experiences make a good campaign. Some campaigns that do this are CoD4, CoD:WaW, Halo 3, Battlefield Bad Company and more. Halo Wars however seems from the two missions on the demo, as if it’s the same thing all round. However the story seems ok, with slightly bland characters but the cut scenes, they are the best I have ever seen on any game. The graphics with the good camera angles look amazing. Unfortunately the in game graphics aren’t as spectacular. As for the game play, it is very fluid, but it can seem like a waiting game while you’re waiting for things to be built, since there’s nothing to do meanwhile. Although I am not the biggest real time strategy fan so I’m not the best judge.

So the cut scenes and overall finish are amazing, however, it would be better with slightly more content. But this was only the demo, so it can’t completely represent the complete game.

Mass Effect 2 on PS3?

Mass Effect is a series of RPG games produced by BioWare, originally for Xbox 360 and PC. The first edition to the role playing game series was released worldwide in November 2007. It is planned to be a trilogy with the sequels coming soon.

The evidence to this ripping through the games society, is that the trailer released by BioWare had no Xbox 360 logo on it, suggesting the game wasn't a 360 exlusive. It has decent power, however the recoil can be a nuisance along with a almost slow fire rate. This guide is to help you know the exact perks and attachments to use with this gun.

Attachments

For me, MP40 works brilliantly with the dual magazine, it can prevent the reload that kills you, while allowing multiple kills without reload. However if you are using camouflage, suppressor may do you better, but for me it decreases power and makes it slightly awkward. Also in my opinion the Aperture Sight is pointless since the sight on it is already fine to look through. If you haven’t unlocked much for it, it wouldn’t be much of a disadvantage not to have any attachment since it’s such a good overall gun.

Perks

The first perk depends on your gametype, for gametypes where you can respawn frequently, like team deathmatch, headquarters and domination, I would suggest bandolier. For other gametypes like sabotage and search and destroy, you’d probably want more inventory items like bazookas, satchel charges, two special grenades or two primary grenades. Whatever floats your boat. However for me I use bomb squad in search and destroy, because in that gametype I tend to rush massively and bouncing bettys are impossible to see compared to claymores, creating a need for this perk.

For the second perk I recommend either juggernaut or stopping power, if you seem to be getting killed allot, use juggernaut, however if you do fine and get enough kills and few deaths you will probably want stopping power to get through it all with less ammo. Double tap could be good for you, since it has a weak fire rate, however it can be an ammo waster. Also if you like the fact that the enemy can’t see you on the UAV and can you it as a great advantage, camouflage can do wonders, especially when paired with the suppressor. I don’t really find the other perks useful at all.

Extreme conditioning or steady aim seem like the obvious choices for this, however the third perk won’t really make or break how your game goes. Extreme conditioning will help you while rushing or running away, while steady aim will increase your accuracy. Reconnaissance, toss back, martyrdom and deep impact can be useful, but won’t make a major effect. But a whole team with second chance on, can drastically reduce the other teams kills and their deaths.

So this gun is a very easy to use, close range gun. However even the best players can use it to completely batter the opponent. This gun is the one that I got my 29 kill streak on. Good gaming with your killer MP40's.

First Seen Photo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2!

Recently on twitter, Robert Bowling, Community Manager at Infinity Ward, anounced he was testing the new member of the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare II. In my opinion bigger, better games have been released since Halo 3's release over a year ago, and only people new to the game, addicted to the game, or wanting a taste of the past will be interested. I personally, will not be spending my money on this expansion pack. Also I think it would be quite hard to extend the playtime much without making some major changes to the gameplay, adding guns, features e.t.c.

Although despite all this I don't want to be hating on this before its even released. Well in terms of selling games console, the rich get richer, you just have to get the snowball rolling.

One of the studios to begin the slow, painful process of murdering the PSP is Ready At Dawn Studios, after they finished with God of War for the PSP they litterally packed up their bags and sent the PSP developers kit back to Sony.

This is happening simply because there aren't many people buying them, and the people who are buying them are just ripping them and sharing them over the internet (don't do this). Also there just isn't that many people with a PSP and the majority of people who have one are either bored of it and it's in a box somewhere, or they have illegally copied software to their PSP's.

So, that's what the future of the PSP, I wouldn't recommend buying one because it's really not worth it and you will get bored and the games will run out, however, for the DS, fun games are always comming out so you'll never get bored of it.

I hope this article helps you, and thanks for reading!

Sources: Gameplayer

No more blades for Xbox 360 Fans

Recently we have seen the exterior of the new dashboard update, it contains several new features and from where we're sitting, overall, it looks allot like Windows Media Center. (look below for a video)

It is very different with several new features including a section for avatars (the Xbox 360's comeback for the Wii's Miis) And also more casual games including 1 vs 100 a sort of Saturday night game show for the Xbox 360 as an attempt to get to the casual gamers.

Also in a recent partnership between Microsoft and Netflix there is a netflix section full of many films ready for you to watch, which you can qeue up in a tidy new way which looks allot more interesting (maybe just because it's new). Also there is a section called 'Spotlight' full of new games, films, and probably more.

Also if you're worried about wasting money buying themes for the current dashboard don't worry because themes are completely compatible with the new dashboard. There is something which is similar to the blades but it isn't as prominent, looks below for a video.

It seems Microsoft are really trying to storm the casual gaming market but I'm not sure how either hardcore gamers or casual gamers will react, I just hope it's not so bad that I'm glad there's a disc autostart as soon as you switch on your 360 (if there's even that). I just hope they don't flop this, but it will be cool to look at at least.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the video below.

Top 10 Halo Guns

Top 10 Halo Guns

Halo is full of many diverse, interesting and powerful guns, not one gun in the game is weak. Every single one is effective in its own way (even the plasma pistol).

But some are allot better than other’s, (if that wasn’t true there’d be no need to swap weapons). This list is to tell you, which guns to pick up, when you have the choice.

10) Brute Shot, with a huge blade on it the Brute Shot has a deadly melee which means a Brute Shot hit + a melee = a kill. Good weapon if there’s not many opponents but in big team games the clip is too small and there’s not enough ammo.

9) Spartan Laser, the most powerful gun in the game, but with it’s limitation, it rocks in big team gamespartan Laser with vehicles but not in games with few people, a few more limitations are there’s a charge period and if the enemy has any sense he’ll be able to run away because of the red light it shows. A good tip is too charge it under cover and when it’s about to shoot pop out and have good enough reflexes to shoot someone. It is very unforgiving at close range.

8) The Needler, is one of the easiest guns to use, just point in the general direction of the enemy and let the auto-targeting, explosive pink missiles do the rest. If you’re against one of these be sure to go under cover before it’s too late.

7) Rocket Launcher, another easy gun to use, just aim at the enemy’s feet, and bang, you’ve got a kill, also this is very good when you get close to vehicles, don’t use at far range and don’t use at too close range or you’ll kill yourself.

6) The Mauler is a mini shotgun with a one-two, hit-melee, kill, but if you’re dual wielding, it’s as easy as one hit to kill them, dual wielding makes it as powerful as a shotgun, if not, more powerful. This is a close range only weapon

5) Covenant Carbine, almost as good as the BR but in matchmaking games it’s a seven bullet headshot kill which is allot of headshots to put in. It’s better than nothing and it’s about as good as the BR at close range but it still isn’t as good as the BR. It dominates at mid-range.

4) Shotgun, the close range master, nothing can beat this at close range (unless you have terrible aim or they are suicidal with the rockets). It is a one hit kill at close range, and you can stay alive for ages as long as you know when to go into cover and when to run out.

3) Beam Rifle, this only have a disadvantage to the human sniper because it has a bigger recoil and less ammo, apart from that it has exactly the same damage and range. If you can’t get a hold of a human sniper, this is the next best thing.

2) Human sniper, this is a contender for the best gun in the game, with enough ammo and guards it can dominate for the whole game, it has slight recoil, but the damage still rocks and at close range, with good aim, it can do as good as a shotgun.

1) Plasma Pistol, works well with the number one gun, the number one gun is actually the Battle Rifle, with a 4 burst headshot kill it’s easy picking on a group of weak people, but with a fully charged plasma pistol it can be deadly since the plasma pistol takes down shields fully and the BR finishes off. This can be hard to use at long range but is good at close-medium as long as they don’t have a rocket launcher or a shotgun etc.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this top 10 list of Halo guns, if you would really like me to change something on this list email gamebyte@inbox.com. If you would like to suggest me writing an article about something email the same address.

Thanks for reading and happy gaming!

Killzone 2 - PS3 Fanboys to get excited!

Killzone 2 is the new, PS3 exclusive, Sci-Fi FPS, sequel to the PS2 game Killzone and the PSP game Killzone: Liberation. It is being developed by Guerrilla Games, and it’s being published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). It was first announced at E3 2005 is meant to be newly released in 2009.

The game is set after the previous 2 games, 2 years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is attacking Helghan their opponent’s home world. You are Sev, a master of the Legion (the special force’s unit), gamers must complete a mission in Helghan to Emperor Visari, the Helghast leader, and strike the enemy through their heart.

The controls don’t seem that new, they feel allot like Call of Duty 4’s control’s scheme, you can look down-the-scope view for accuracy, fire from the hip and throw grenades by touching a button. Running is L3 COD-style, and you hug cover using L1. In the game you can do a bit of blindfire, or take a peak and poke your head out for a few shots, this all is in first person mode which in my opinion, will be a great thing to see in action.

The animations in the new game are amazing. You feel the bullets actually do something. Also it fixes a few problems in the previous games such as imbalanced guns, and accuracy.

Also included are vehicles, one of the definite vehicles is going to be a tank but expect something like a 4x4, and probably more which we don’t expect…

Who knows what else the Guerillas will have up there (costume) sleeves hopefully something to get PS3 users a sense of worth and something to actually be exited about for the future.

Some of the information from this article was from released by Sony at the recent Leipzig Games Convention where they also revealed information about the PS3 games: inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Heavy Rain, Resistance 2, SOCOM: Confrontation, Buzz!: Quiz TV, Siren Blood Curse, Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty, MotorStorm Pacific Rift and PlayTV. Sony seam’s like they want to target more casual gamers.

Sources: CVN, IGN

Blog Review Contest - FREE ADS FOR WINNER

Hey guys, I'm holding a new contest, to enter you must have a review for my website. It looks like it but theres no way to tell how the gamers will react to it until it's released (late this year). I'm probably going to buy it for the full £39.99 but hey, if your unsure, wait till it gets a bit older, buy as used copy, it's still the same game isn't it? Does the box or the instruction manual actually matter that much, if you can buy 2 games in plastic wallets for the price of one brand new game, I'd take the two old games over the brand new.

New: FIFA 09, Funny Looking Game for the Wii.

FIFA 08 was frankly, just one big gimmick or a new game for the Wii. With motion control ideas that didn't work out properly. Also it didn't have many game modes which make the game seem old and boring rather than the new fun image the games on other consoles have. Apparently this years version will be a lot better fixing both of those problems, (but I don't think there's ever a way of making the motion control seem slightly gimmicky).

The new FIFA games controls will apparently be allot better and more natural. Also there is a variety of game modes including the Manager game mode, where you go pretend you're a manager and you have to do stuff like change players, formations, substitutions and choose the sponser (which literally ranges from Latvian Pizza Producers to Turkish Telecommunication services)

I think this game will be way better than its predecessor. The game will be released around October time so get your pockets ready, it's probably going to be between £30 to £40 maybe even £50, anyway, let's not get into the extortion of use gamers.

Thanks for reading and you can pay me by check. £50 remember?

...Just kidding

New 360 Game, Too Human, Too Frustrating & Too Unbalanced?

Too Human is a new game (well it's been in development for almost 10 years) produced by Silicon Knights, and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It's a science-fiction, action and adventure game which has apparently already been shipped to be released at the end of this month (August 29th).

It originally was shown in X05 as one of the first Xbox 360 project but after a few delays which were blamed on many different things including the Unreal Engine 3. Which started a chain of legal battles between the Ontario (a Canada-based shop) and Epic Games (North Carolinian Unreal-makers). The 'new' game will cost around $59.99, (probably £40 in the UK).

The games gameplay will be fast-paced including ranged and melee combat, with many weapons, such as maces, dual-wielded swords, polearms, shields, and mass driver guns. Players will have a choice in a range of classes in the game, and it's possible to add to their abilities/stats with enhancements.

I wonder if this new game will flop or succeed. Or be a great game that no-one knows about, or the opposite.

Only time will tell.

Thanks for reading and happy gaming.

Dragon Ball: Origins, New Dragon Ball Z RPG Game for the DS

Normally Dragon Ball Z games have generic fighting systems and don't seem too different to their predecessors. But recently at the Leipzig Games Convention, we saw a new Dragon Ball Z game for the DS and surprisingly, it's not a fighting game.

It will be a very colourful game with the story embedded into ut full the same comedic nature and sense of adventure as the original Dragon Ball Z series. Apparently the game play time will be about 30 hours (quite a lot for a DS game). The game can be controlled fully with the touch screen.

It's great to see a new Dragon Ball Z game thats not a fighter, I hope this is a really good game and they pull it off well, my only concern is the camera, the camera did not seem very versatile at all. It is fixed on one position, oh well, let's just hope for the best.

Click here for the full article at IGN

Thanks for reading and happy gaming!
