Ubisoft has announced that the adrenaline-fuelled off-road arcade racer “Mad Riders” is coming to Xbox LIVE, PSN and PC Digital on May 30th 2012.

Mad Riders, developed by Techland, will see players performing amazing aerial stunts and racing on over 45 stunning tracks from all over the world, at breathtaking speeds. To gain the edge on the competition, players will need to use their boost skill wisely and take advantage of shortcuts hidden in the tracks.

For players who want to take the experience online, Mad Riders has extensive competitive features and leaderboards, allowing players to test their skills against the rest of the world. Thanks to an intuitive drop-in system, players can compete in three exciting multiplayer modes playable up to 12 players.

Mad Riders will be available for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360 and AUD $15.95 on PSN and PC Digital.

Warner Bros have released another free DLC update for Gotham City Impostors with a new multiplayer map that features the iconic Arkham Asylum.

Warner Bros have already been pretty generous with their DLC for Gotham City Impostors, offering fans free DLC updates in February and again last month.

This new free DLC map isn’t the same asylum that featured in Batman: Arkham Asylum – this one is more in keeping with Gotham City Impostors’ comic book style and sense of fun, and it has been designed specifically for multiplayer mayhem.

The Arkham Asylum map is available to download now on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and will be released soon for PC.

A trio of new Borderlands 2 images have turned up on the internet over the weekend, showing off some more of the game’s striking artistic style.

The highly anticipated Borderlands sequel will feature all new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment, which come together in an ambitiously crafted story.

“The addictive gameplay and shooting and looting mayhem of the first Borderlands is back and better than ever in Borderlands 2, taking the franchise to an entirely new level,” Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K, said in a statement accompanying the video. “With more guns, more enemies, more missions, an engaging story and all-new characters, Borderlands 2 promises to bring a new era to gaming.”

An all new Far Cry 3 gameplay trailer has emerged over the weekend.  The action-packed footage shows the games’ protagonist attempting to rescue a friend and escape a burning building. 

In Far Cry 3, players step into the shoes of Jason Brody, a man alone at the edge of the world, stranded on a mysterious tropical island.

In this savage paradise, where lawlessness and violence are the only sure thing, players dictate how the story unfolds, from the battles they choose to fight to the allies or enemies they make along the way.

Far Cry 3 is currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal with help from Ubisoft Shanghai and Massive Entertainment.

Far Cry 3 will be available September 7th, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Konami has announced that the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will be released for PlayStation Vita on June 12th in North America and June 15th in Europe and across the PAL territories.

The PlayStation Vita collection boasts enhanced versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater titles and both games enjoy graphical makeovers, trophies and bespoke controls systems designed to make the most of the PlayStation Vitas touch-screen capabilities.

Similarly, the games enjoy a rebalanced user interface and make use of Kojima Productions’ unique Transfarring system for data sharing with PlayStation3 units.

“We’re confident that users will be pleased with the new innovations Kojima Productions have implemented with the new PlayStation Vita iterations, offering a truly unique experience for this exciting new format,” said Martin Schneider, General Manager for Konami Digital Entertainment.

EA has revealed a new Medal of Honor: Warfighter TV commercial, which ran during half-time in today’s UEFA Champions League Final.

This television trailer offers brief snippets of gameplay footage along with remarkable CG action from the game. Warfighter is being developed using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, which also powers Battlefield 3.

Inspired by actual events across the globe and written by real Tier 1 Operators while deployed overseas, Medal of Honor Warfighter goes beyond Afghanistan and takes the fight to the enemy in missions that have a dotted line to real world events.

38 Studios has released the debut trailer for the upcoming Amalur MMO game code-named “Project Copernicus.”

Project Copernicus is set in the same land of Amalur from the single-player RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.  The art and creature design is being handled by famed comic artist and toy maker Todd McFarlane while the lore of the land is being handled by novelist R.A. Salvatore.

Not a lot else is known about the game, but it’s likely that more details will be revealed at E3 in a couple of weeks.

Project Copernicus (or whatever its called) is currently slated for a June 2013 release.

Remedy Entertainment has revealed some concept art from the PC version of Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.

Some of the games spooky locales are showcased in the striking new concept art offering some insight into Alan’s alternate shadowed world of Night Springs.

In Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, Alan must hunt down his evil twin and supernatural serial killer, Mr. Scratch, who has become dangerously fixated on Wake’s wife, Alice.

To survive, Wake must learn to control reality itself and unravel the secrets of Night Springs with a trusty flashlight and whatever weapons he can find.

The brand new Fight till Dawn arcade mode places Wake in the battle of his life. Players are tasked with surviving a full night of brutal onslaughts while racking up their score.
