Asphalt 9 tip #1: Nitrous

You have 4 types of nitrous within Asphalt 9:

- Single tap
- Double tap
- Perfect
- Shockwave

Do not use any nitrous at the beginning of the race, instead wait a little bit and knock down a couple of cars using single tap nitrous. Single tap nitrous is very good to gain speed in straight sections of the track and in wide corners.

Use double tap nitrous to get up to speed quickly if you do not have enough for a shockwave or to go up a ramp.

Perfect nitrous is hitting the nitrous once and hitting it again when it is in the blue area. Use this kind of nitrous when trying to go around turn, you maintain more speed than with single or double nitrous and it lasts longer than a shockwave. It is also great to use on rough terrain that will slow you down.

Finally, you have shockwave. Shockwave can be used when the nitrous meter is al the way full. It main purpose in to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Why it does not last very long, the acceleration is very significant. I recommend using it to get up ramps for a longer air-time and using it again upon landing to not lose any speed.

- Asphalt 9 tip #2: Ramps

You have 2 types of ramps, flat ramps and curved ramps. The most common way to use flat ramps is to 360 up them by tapping the brake twice and using nitrous while in the air to maintain good air speed. You can however also perform a barrel roll of the sides of flat ramps, but I do not recommend doing this. Next, you have curved ramps which are specifically designed for barrel rolls. These ramps are the best way to pickup and maintain speed throughout a race. If you can get multiple curved ramps in a row it will result in amazing momentum through a large portion of many tracks. Try going up curved ramps with shockwave as much as possible and use nitrous again upon landing.

Asphalt 9 tip #3: Brake trick

The final tip I want to give you is the brake trick. In order to perform the trick, you need to press brake repeatedly when going straight. It will result in you not losing any speed at all, while charging up your nitrous. It can be very useful if you want to gain speed before a ramp. However, be sure to not be turning at the time of performing the trick. You will end up losing speed and the trick will end up being a lot less efficient.
