[Review] GelaSkins

In the interests of full disclosure, I should start by saying that my GelaSkins didn't cost me a penny. If you decide to get some for yourself, you'll have to pay for them (around $20, no less) or you'll have to talk someone into buying you a gift certificate. As a result, your experience and eventual level of satisfaction may differ from mine.

[Preview] Civilization World

Civilization World, which just went into open beta today, is a browser-based game that doesn't need disclaimers. It's fun, not just for a browser-based game (which is what you'd tend to expect if you've played many of the diversions that pass for games on Facebook), but for a PC game in general. The fact that it's free and can be played in your browser is just icing on the cake.

[Preview] Catherine (PlayStation 3)

It's easy to get excited about Catherine, the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 title from Atlus. Just a glance at the development team responsible, the same one behind recent entries in the excellent Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, was enough to catch my interest. Throw in some sexy artwork and you're already halfway to a game that I simply must own. Yet despite seeing numerous screenshots over the past few months, and despite reading a number of press releases, I didn't actually have much of a notion of how the thing would play… until today.

[News] Playstation Vita Vitals

Wipe the nebulous name NGP from your minds. Sony's next handheld device is now known as the Playstation Vita. Part of the Vita's appeal (Sony hopes) is social connectivity; "users will remain connected to content and each other on the go."

[Chatter] LA Noire, a one-game franchise

Do we need more Noire in LA, or does Noire need to spread around like CSI? Both seem possible after Take-Two's CEO called LA Noire a "powerful new franchise." How many games make a franchise, three or four? Success certainly didn't take long.

[News] Cladun x2 (PSP) coming in August

ClaDun, This is an RPG! was a pretty fun dungeon crawler. If I'm reading this right, Cladun x2 promises to be twice as fun. Then again, that doesn't sound right... I'm sure this sequel will be many multiples cooler than the original.
