Features

Villagers are no longer “Caveman Squidwards”. MCA replaces them with male or female humans that have many unique skins.

Villagers can be interacted with. You can talk to them, ask them to follow you, set their home, give them gifts, etc.

You can build a relationship with villagers. Get your relationship with one high enough and you can marry them. You can have children with the villagers that you marry.

Your children will grow over time and do chores for you. They will eventually grow into adults who can get married and have their own children.

Playing in Hardcore mode opens up a few tiny secret features. They’re nothing too major, or are they?

Axes added by other mods will not work by default, you will have to edit the Timber! config file (see above) and add the ids for the mod axes manually. The ids for the vanilla axes and the PlasticCraft axe is included by default.

Thaumaturgy… which giveth certain order to make strange works, of the sense to be perceived and of men greatly to be wondered at.

Thaumaturgy is the capability of a magician to work miracles. A practitioner of thaumaturgy is a thaumaturge, thaumaturgist or miracle worker.

This is what this mod is all about – drawing magic from physical objects in the form of Essentia and reshaping it to perform miracles.

Video:

Recipes:

The first thing you will need to craft is a wand. The first one available to you is the Wand of the Apprentice crafted as shown here:

Any type of shard can be used in the recipe.

You then place a bookshelf in the world and right click on it with the wand. This gives you the Thaumonomicon which explains almost everything else you will need to know about Thaumcraft.

Installation:

Install Minecraft Forge (Modloader is NOT required – my mod uses the Forge modloader)

Download this mod and place the zip into your Mods Directory.

Adding Thaumcaft world generation to existing worlds

Yes, you heard that right. You can add all the ores, trees and other worldgen features to existing worlds by changing a few things in your config files. Remember: this could be risky so always backup your saves beforehand.

If this is the first time loading Thaumcraft with that save, you can leave the regen_key setting as ‘DEFAULT’ otherwise set it to anything else.

You need to choose what to regenerate. I strongly recommend you set aura_nodes to ‘true’ if this is the first time you are doing this. Without the aura you won’t be able to do 99.9% of the things you could in Thaumcraft.

Run the game. It will lag for a while and you should see some console spam about chunks being regenerated. This is fine – just wait it out. It shouldn’t take too long. If the world had been explored a lot you might see the message reappear every now and again. This is also normal.

If, for some reason, you wish to do this again or somehow your savefile got corrupted and your aura nodes have gone missing, all you need to do is set the regen_key value to something else. Any word would do.

IMPORTANT: If you chose to generate TC ores and such in an existing world It is best to keep the config as-is. Do not switch everything off again after running the game or server once. As you explore chunks that have been explored in the past, but you haven’t visited yet the new TC will regen in them as well. If you turn it off before you get a chance to revisit them nothing will be genererated and you will have to do the regeneration from scratch to add it to those chunks which could cause doubling of ores and nodes.

Changelogs:

v3.0.5

Update to Minecraft 1.5.2

Golem visor should no longer cause a crash

Items like the thaumometer should render properly again (blame Forge for that one)

New stuff? New stuff!

This Mod adds more creatures to the game.

Currently the Mod adds the following creatures:

Wyverns
Wyverns are poisonous drakes, they can be found on the WyvernLair.

Wyvern eggs can be obtained by slaying wyverns (but only on the wyvern lair). A wyvern has a 10% chance of dropping an egg.

The egg can be hatched in the Overworld by placing it near a torch and once the Wyvern grows, it can be saddled and armored.

The wyvern lair can only be accessed by using a Wyvern Portal Staff. The staff has only four uses before it’s destroyed. There is an alternative recipe that replaces the unicorn with a vial of light.

The staff can be activated on any dimension, and it will teleport the player to the center of the Wyvern Lair dimension.

To return back, the staff has to be activated on the quartz portal of the Wyvern Lair.
Elephants and Mammoths
Elephants spawn on Deserts, Jungles, Plains and Forests.
Mammoths spawn on cold biomes.

Elephants drop Hide

A calf elephant can be tamed by giving it 10 Sugar lumps or 5 cakes
Tamed elephants are healed with baked potatoes, bread or haystacks

A harness can be put on tamed adult elephants to make them rideable and attach extra things:

If a player ‘sneaks’ near their elephant, it will sit for a short time, where it can be mounted
To dismount an elephant, the rider has to make it sit first and then it can be dismounted.

Indian Elephants can be given a special luxurious garment:

In addition to the garment, a nice throne can then be given to the Elephant.

Two chest sets can be put on each elephant, allowing it to carry inventory

A key is used to open the inventory.
Mammoths can also carry two extra regular chests.

Three different kinds of tusk reinforcements can be crafted: wood, iron and diamond.
They can be given to tamed adult elephants and mammoths, and taken off with a pickaxe.
While wearing them reinforcement and ridden by the player, they will break blocks.
(However that feature is disabled by default in multiplayer, to prevent griefing)
Mammoths are more effective at breaking blocks than elephants.

Wooden Tusks:

Iron Tusks:

Diamond Tusks:

A platform can be put on the Songhua Mammoth, allowing them to carry a second player.

To have a passenger, first the rider makes the mammoth sit, then the second player ‘sneaks’ while close to the mammoth.
The second player can dismount the mammoth by pressing the sneak key.
Komodo Dragons
Komodo dragons spawn on swamps and plains. They attack small animals or players.
Komodo dragons poison their prey.

They drop reptile hide and the bigger Komodo Dragons have a 25% chance of dropping eggs.

An egg can be hatched if placed near a torch and the resulting baby Komodo Dragon will be tamed.

Tamed Komodo dragon can be healed by giving it raw rat or raw turkey.

A saddle can be put on a Tamed adult Komodo dragon so it can be ridden.
Golems
Golems spawn at night, and initially consists of only three blocks: the Head, the Core and a valuable ore cube. When the Golem is near a player, it activates and forms its body.

Golems have a powerful melee attack, they also have a ranged attack, where the Golem throws one of the blocks of its arms.

When a Golem is attacked, there is a chance to destroy one of its blocks. The chance of destroying a block depends on the difficulty level. If the chest is open and the core of the golem is exposed, it will suffer damage.

As the Golem suffers damage, it becomes more dangerous. A hint of the danger level of the golem is the color of its power aura. Blue is seen in a Golem that is not attacking. Yellow on a Golem that has started attack, Orange on the Golem that has suffered considerable damage. Red is seen on a Golem about to explode.

The Golem will constantly try to acquire replacement blocks. Every time a block is acquired, the Golem is healed (the amount of the healing depends also on the difficulty level)

It may be wise to look for shelter when the Golem power aura is red, as there is not too much time before the golem explodes.

When a Golem dies, it drops all of the blocks that were part of its body (including the valuable ore cube).
Snails
Picture pending….

They’re slow and they hide in their shells, except when they don’t have a shell. In that case they’re just slow. Snails drop slime balls.
Insects
Including butterflies, flies, bees, fireflies, dragonflies and crickets. Just for ambiance’s sake
Turkeys
Turkeys… they drop raw turkey when killed that can be cooked. Pretty straightforward stuff.

check this video by BlockDaddy
Horses
Horses are the first controllable mount in Minecraft. You will need to tame them before you can ride them. Once tamed, they won’t despawn. There are 36! different kind of Horses available.

Only regular horses, donkeys and zebras spawn in the wild.

Horses need a saddle to be ridden. You can use either regular or horse saddles on them. Once you mount the horse, you’ll need to break it by riding it repeatedly, you can make the process easier by feeding the horse hay, sugar lumps or apples.

Tamed horses can be bred with the following combinations:

The Gofa made this video explaining the breeding chart:

This is the formula for the Essence of Undead. The Heart of undead is a rare drop of the Undead horse mobs, found at night. The essence of undead is used to obtain undead horses and heal them.

When riding and undead horse, mobs will not attack you.

To obtain rarer horses, you need a Zebra and the rare essences:

Essence of Fire. The heart of fire is found only as a rare drop of Nightmares on the nether.

Essence of Darkness. The heart of darkness is a rare drop of bathorses.
Bathorses are aggressive mob horses found at night, mostly on underground caves.

The Essence of Light is made by combining the other three essences

The zebras can be found more frequently on plains biomes. You can increase the frequency of Zebras spawning by changing the ‘Zebra Chance’ option of the mod.

Wild Zebras will flee on sight unless you’re riding a white spotted or cow horse (tier 4 horses) or if you’re riding another Zebra or Zorse. Once you tame a Zebra, you can breed a Zorse.

Zorses are sterile and if given an essence of fire will transform it to a Nightmare. Giving it an essence of Darkness will transform the Zorse into a bat horse.

If you give an essence of light to a nightmare, you will obtain an Unicorn. Unicorns can buckle other creatures and fall very slowly, floating down.

If you give an essence of light to a Bat horse, while the bathorse is high in the sky at the cloud level, it will trasnform into a Pegasus.

Pegasus and Unicorns can breed a White Fairy horse, however both will dissapear in the process. You need to give them both Essence of lights to get them ready for the mating. Also essence of light is used to heal them.

If you give a light blue dye, a pink dye, or a lime dye to a white fairy horse, it will transform into a blue, pink or green fairy horse. Fairy horses can carry a small inventory, if given a chest.

Amulets are used to capture horses. The horses will drop any saddle, armor or inventory before being captured in the amulet. Only certain horses can be trapped in amulets:

Amulet of the sky, to capture pegasus or black pegasus

Fairy amulet for the fairy horses

Ghost amulet, that can capture ghost horses

Bone amulet, used to capture skeleton horses

Horses can now wear armor, from softer to sturdier. They mitigate the damage the horses receive.

Iron Horse Armor

Gold Horse Armor

Diamond Horse Armor

And crystal armor for the rare horses
(pending picture)

This is how you craft the Horse Saddle:

The only way to dismount a horse is by clicking the sneak key (shift)

Quick guide on how to breed horses:
Rules for breeding:
-The horses to breed should be kept close (no more than 4 blocks away)
-There should be no other horses around (8 blocks)
-You have to feed them both to start the process (suitable foods are mushroom soup or pumpkins or rare essences for the rarer horses)
-it takes time (about 1/2 Minecraft day)

Quick Guide on How to use the Horses’ Inventory:
-Donkeys, mules, pegasus, black pegasus and fairy horses can carry bags
-The horse needs to be tamed, and you need to give it a chest (only once)
-A key will appear in your inventory. You can use that key to open any horse inventory. If the key is lost, you can craft a new one.

How to activate the Nightmare’s special ability:
-it has to be tamed, you need to give it a redstone.
-after that, ride it… and be careful

You can craft a rope:

that can be used to tie horses and BigCats, so they will follow you.
Ostriches
Ostriches spawn in plains and desert biomes. You can find male, females and chicks. The males will fight back if attacked.

The females and chicks will run away and hide their heads in the ground if attacked.
Beware of the normally passive female ostriches, they’ll fight you if you steal one of its eggs.

Wild ostriches can’t be tamed, but if you happen to ‘acquire’ an ostrich egg and hatch it, the chick will be tamed and will follow you around.

You can give your tamed ostrich chick a name. The name can be changed by interacting with the ostrich while holding a medallion or book.

Once the chick becomes adult, it will swap its feathers to reflect its gender. You can command your tamed ostriches by using a whip.

If you give an adult tamed ostrich a saddle, you can ride it. while riding, if you crack your whip on the ground, the ostrich will sprint for a short period of time.

Male ostriches are fast and the rare albino ostriches even faster.

There is a rumor that there is a secret type of an ostrich. Nether + egg = ?
Snakes

the stings can be used to forge swords that will last longer and hit stronger (just add a diamond sword to three scorpion stings of the same kind.

With the scorpion chitins, armor can be forged. A full set of armor confers a special ability. The cave Scorpion armor set allows night vision.

Dolphins
There are six different kind of dolphins (from common to rare): blue, green, purple, dark, pink and albino. The last two kinds are seen only rarely in the wild.

Taming dolphins:
You can tame dolphins by feeding them raw fish. the rarer the dolphin, the more raw fish it requires to be tamed. A blue dolphin requires 2 raw fish and an albino dolphin requires 12 raw fish. You can also tame dolphins by riding/breaking them. Rarer dolphins are noticeable faster than common ones.

Breeding dolphins:
Tamed adult dolphins can breed by feeding them cooked fish and keeping them apart from other creatures in a similar fashion than the horse breeding. Young dolphin can not breed or be tamed/ridden.
Two dolphins of the same color will always have offspring of such color. Dolphins have a ‘genetic value’ from 1-6. (blue = 1 and albino = 6) if you mix and match dolphins you have 1/3 chance of obtaining a purple or dark dolphin if the genetic value addition of the parents is 3 or 4, and you have a 1/10 chance of obtaining a pink or albino dolphin if the genetic value addition equals 5 or 6. i.e. A pink dolphin(5) can be obtained in 1/10 of cases by combining a blue(1) plus a dark(4) dolphin or a green (2) plus a purple (3) dolphin.

The sharks will attack anything that falls in the water, except squids or other sharks. Sharks have different sizes, if you kill a big shark in easy difficulty or higher, you have a 10% chance of getting a shark egg. Right clicking on the shark eggs throws them. If the egg falls in water it will incubate and a tamed shark will hatch. Tamed sharks won’t despawn and once they’re big enough, will attack any other creature except sharks or the player.
The shark model was inspired by charle88′s thread. He also shared his textures.
There are four kinds of werewolves, of special interest is the fiery werewolf who can set targets ablaze.

In daylight the werewolf will transform back into human form in no time. The best way to kill this beast is by using gold items (Think of it as the Minecraft silver). You have been warned, don’t face one if you don’t have a gold sword. It drops gold apples, stone or steel tools.

Werewolves sometimes will run on all fours, which makes them faster
ComputerCraft is a Minecraft mod (with full multiplayer support) that adds in-game Computers. Each Computer has an operating system, a filesystem, a suite of builtin programs (including a text editor, a realtime Lua interpreter, and two games), and can be programmed to do anything you want with the easy-to-use Lua programming language. Computers can interact with redstone wiring and bundled cables from the RedPower2 mod, meaning they can be used to fully automate and control your worlds. With peripheral devices, the capabilities of computers can be expanded further, with Disk Drives adding the ability to transfer files between computers and play music, Wireless Modems adding Wireless Networking between machines, Monitors adding external large external displays and Printers adding printing capabilities.

Important: ComputerCraft now uses Forge config files, instead of the old ModLoader ones. If you edited mod_ComputerCraft.cfg or mod_CCTurtle.cfg in a previous version to change Block or Item IDs, you need to change them correspondingly in the new ComputerCraft.cfg and CCTurtle.cfg before loading your old worlds, or you will lose your ComputerCraft items.

Recipes:

First, build a Computer (or its Advanced counterpart):

Then right click on its screen to interact. You’re now in the command prompt. Type “help” for an introduction, then type “programs” to see the list of programs you can run. Try running some of them. Type “help” followed by the name of a program to find out what it does. Don’t miss “worm” and “adventure”! When you’re ready to start creating your own programs, type “help programming” for advice on learning the Lua programming language, then use “edit” to create programs or “lua” to just start entering code. All the programs and APIs on the system have their own help pages.

Want more? Build a Disk Drive and Floppy Disks like so:

Place the disk drive next to the computer, put a disk into the drive, and access your computer again. Type “list”, and you’ll see that each Floppy Disk has it’s own folder. Now you can use the “copy” or “move” commands to move your programs onto disks, and carry the disks around to transfer files between machines! For some light entertainment, try putting a record into a disk drive and running the “dj” application.

Computer Disk Drives too static for you? Maybe you’re ready to craft some Turtles:

Access your Turtle like a computer, and you’ll see the similarities. Turtles run programs just like Computers, but have access to new programs and a new API to make them move around and interact with the world. Add some coal to the turtle and fuel up your turtle with “refuel”, then try experimenting with the “go”, “excavate” or “craft” programs. To write your own turtle programs, use “lua” or “edit” just as with the computer, and call functions from the “turtle” API. There’s a lot these little guys can do!

For truly advanced worlds, try building Wireless Modems and Wireless Turtles:

Attach your modem to your computer (sneak-click to place it on the side), or craft it together with a Turtle, and you now have devices that can use the “rednet” API to wirelessly send each other messages. This is one of the more advanced areas of the Mod, and requires programming, but anybody who’s used the internet knows the potential of wireless communication.

New in ComputerCraft 1.31 is the Monitor peripheral, build it like so:

Build lots of monitor blocks, and place them together, and you will see they expand to one contiguous display. If your computer is touching the display, it can be programmed to draw text to this screen, which will be visible to anyone who walks past. Try the monitor out by running the “monitor” program, like “monitor left hello”. Try to find the secret program added in 1.31 designed especially for monitors!

New in ComputerCraft 1.42 is the Printer:

Place a printer down next to your computer, supply it with paper and ink, or dye of any colour, and print messages for your friends! Either interact with the printer yourself using lua, or print documents using the “edit” program! Try feeding a printed page back into the input and changing the ink to print in different colours!

Installation:

Install the Minecraft Forge

Download ComputerCraft from one of the links above, and place it in the “mods” folder in your minecraft directory.

You’re done! You should now be able to run the game, and start crafting and placing computers.

(Optional) If you wish to view, edit or add to the programs that come installed with ComputerCraft, create a new folder called “ComputerCraft” in your mods directory, extract ComputerCraft.zip there, and delete the zip.

Changelogs:

Changes in this release:

v7.2.1

Compatibility: updated for Minecraft 1.5.2

Installation:

To install this modpack, you must first locate your local Minecraft folder. It depends on your OS:

Windows XP/7: %APPDATA%\.minecraft

GNU/Linux: ~/.minecraft

You can skip this part entirely if you are using a mod-installation tool like MCPatcher, MagicLauncher or else, and if it worked of course. Then, starting from this folder, you will have to do the following:

1) Create a subfolder named mods/zombe

2) Locate bin/minecraft.jar

a) Make a backup copy of bin/minecraft.jar, just in case

b) Open bin/minecraft.jar as a Zip file with a tool like 7-zip

c) In this minecraft.jar, delete the subfolder ‘META-INF’

3) Go in the ‘Classes’ subfolder of this modpack’s archive

Copy every .class file from it into bin/minecraft.jar

4) Go in the ‘config’ subfolder of this modpack’s archive

Copy every .txt file from it into mods/zombe

Read Readme page for the full instruction

Recipes:

Small Plane Crafting Table – 255 and Large Plane Crafting Table – 254

Vehicle Crafting Table – 253

Some notes about plane and vehicle crafting

The planes and vehicles will take any engine. The engine speed adds to the plane / vehicle speed so better engines make the plane / vehicle go faster.

Guns are always optional. You can put any deployable guns into the gun slots, but some planes / vehicles disallow use of certain slots.

The blueprints section lists all the planes / vehicles you have made in the past and clicking on one of these places as much stuff into the crafting table as possible to make that particular plane / vehicle.

Teams Controls

G : Open Team Select Menu

H : Open Team Score Menu

Plane / Vehicle Controls

(This will be changeable in the next update)

E : Exit plane / vehicle

R : Inventory

Planes (simple control mode) and Vehicles

W : Accelerate

S : Decelerate / Go backwards

A : Turn left

D : Turn right

Left Ctrl : Shoot machine guns

V : Drop bomb / fire shell

Space : Pitch up (Planes only)

Left Shift : Pitch down (Planes only)

C : Switch control modes (planes only)

Planes (mouse controls)

Same as simple controls except no pitching with space / shift

Mouse up/down : pitch up/down

Mouse left/right : roll left/right

Left click : Shoot machine guns

Right click : Drop bombs

Installation:

1. Install the most recent Minecraft Forge

2. Download Flan’s Mod

3. Place the downloaded .zip in the mods folder

(On the client you can find the mods folder by opening Minecraft, going to the texture pack menu, pressing “Open Texture Pack Folder” and going up one level)

4. Get some content packs

Changelogs:

v2.3.2

How to install it without installer on a MAC:

17. There will also be a folder in the Herobrine mod called into.minecraft. Open it.

18. Take the folders Herobrine and Resources, and put them in your minecraft folder. Not your minecraft.jar, but your folder that I taught you how to find in step 2.

19. Remember the Mob/Item folders we put on the desktop? Copy the contents of the Mob folder.

20. Go to minecraft.jar and find the Mob folder there. Paste the contents of the desktop Mob folder in this Mob folder.

Grab blocks or entities with the “G” button.

Reset portals with the “R” button.

For the bacon gun, the portal’s colour is randomly generated. However, it can be defined in the properties file.

This is your special set of portals on SMP. Unique per individual.

Portal Spawners

When placed, a GUI will pop up asking you to set the colour, and if the portal stays open if redstone power is cut.

When powered with redstone, it will spawn a portal based on the colour you set.

Portal Gun Pedestals

Can also be crafted together.

Long Fall Boots

You can now enable a fuel option in 1.3.2v1 onwards in the config file.

The fuel that the portal gun uses is in form of Ender Pearl Dust.

One ender pearl dust is used every time you fire a portal.

If you run out of ender pearl dust the portal gun will dim and refuse to fire.

Mod Part 1:

Weighted Storage Cube

Placing it in the world and right clicking it with a rose will transform it into a companion cube!

Whilst in your inventory, the companion cube will help heal you every 5 seconds!

Incinerating the cube (How could you!?) will cause it to leave behind a recorded message.

Smelting the disc will cause the plastic to deteriorate, changing the entire track!

Crafting two of the first discs together will also change the track.

Weighted Storage Cube Vent

Weighted Companion Cube Vent

Cubes deployed cannot be broken.

Redeploys new cube if redstone is still supplied and cube gets destroyed.

NEW: 1.2.5v1
Right clicking the cube with cyan dye will make it bouncy! Get rid of the bounciness by putting it in water.
(Initially a request by TheFrogMC for the portal 2 gels mod, but I found it too fun to make it exclusive to that mod)

Mod Part 2:

Material Emancipation Grid

These grids are also configurable to have to be redstone powered.

Mod Part 3:

Has range of 20 blocks, also configurable.

Fires 20 bullets a second.

Defective Turrets

When sentry turrets get smelted, their sleek body polish melts off and their circuits gets messed up!

Mod Part 4:

Warning: Will not increase intelligence if ingested.

Catches a High Energy Pellet to provide redstone power.

Can be sneak right-clicked to release caught High Energy Pellet.

Mod Part 6:

Discouragement Beam Emitter

Forms a high powered laser when powered with redstone!

Lasers travel 40 blocks maximum from the last object portal/cube it goes through, to a maximum of 20 objects (This is so to prevent any overloading of the game)

Can be configured to cause damage to living creatures.

Due to my limitation in Mathematics, lasers will only go directly vertical, even when going through a wall portal at an angle into a ceiling/floor portal. (Sorry!)

Becomes bouncy if right clicked with cyan dye!

Discouragement Redirection Cube Vent

Check Weighted Cube Vents for info.

Checkpoint Blocks

Will temporarily save player status, portals, and portal entities at the moment when the player walks pass it, set in the GUI.

Restores the above when the player dies and respawns (Note, this will move you away from your bed [if present] after you respawn).

Also can power redstone 2 blocks below it like pressure plates.
Installation:

Client

1. Install iChun Util Mod

2. Go to your minecraft folder. (If you don’t know how to, look it up)

Server

1. Drop the zip in the /mods/ folder of the server root folder.

Note:

The mod requires Minecraft Forge

The mod DOES NOT auto resolve ID issues like some other mods.

Do check the default properties file, enough comments have been added for your understanding.

The server only works on VANILLA server at the moment.

Topmost Issues With Latest Version:

Crashing with: cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: portalgun.common.PortalGun
There are NEW installation steps now. Just dragdrop the zip into the mods folder. Repeat, DO NOT extract it.
DO NOT EXTRACT THE ZIP FILE!
