Razer has done it again, they have made another amazing product, the Razer Orochi. We here at Gamer's Vista enjoy gaming, but sometimes we need to travel and when we do we use the Razer Orochi. The Orochi offers Bluetooth and wired capabilities.

The sub-woofer developed in the 1960's is one of the most miss understood parts of gaming. You may have the best mice and keyboard, but without a good sound system your (to quote Xfire) "Gaming Rig" will never be complete. Today gaming is not about who has the most ram or the most bandwidth, today gaming is about total immersion. In real life when there is an explosion there is a "shock wave" and that coupled with the sound makes for the a good explosion. In Call Of Duty (CoD) we use a sub-woofer to make the "shock wave," and by shock wave we mean that we can physically feel the sound through the ground and keyboard of a laptop. This helps to us to reach the point of total immersion. The kind of set up that we recommend is a Sony VAIO sub-woofer, plugged into the regular audio port on the back of the sub-woofer. We have a set of decent computer speakers that we got from amazon, and in the second headphone port on our laptops we have a set of Sony portable speakers. We do not need the second set of speakers, but its carried with our systems and they were not being used for anything else. This map features a mixture of both close quarter fighting and medium range combat. This is where the M16 Assault Rifle comes into a class of its own. A M16 with Red Dot Sight is a good combo, because there is no long range fighting, so an ACOG scope is not necessary. Claymores also work well if you are watching the courtyard and don’t want people sneaking up behind you. The M16 is also ideal for advancing up the street and using its pinpoint accuracy to quickly pop anyone you see. This weapon kills in one burst with Stopping Power, and two bursts against Juggernaut users. Don’t use SMGs like the MP5 and Min-Uzi here, unless you stay in the back end of the map where it is all close quarters and pretty much force you to camp. You could also try sniping, but I wouldn’t recommend it, as the M16 shoots faster than a sniper rifle in a map like this, and it’s not really suitable because of the buildings that provide cover for targets. The M4 carbine with a red dot sight is also good for this map, but be warned, it provides less stopping power than the M16, and will often cause the tendency to spray, which is not good with a 30 round magazine. In the right hands, the M4 can be as deadly as the M16 rifle.

*Tip* watch out for enemies appearing above the walls of the courtyard near the Marine Spawn point

Skinning In Call Of Duty

Skinning In Call Of Duty

Skinning has become a part of many games. In Call of Duty it is very easy to download skins and make a mod where the skins work, but it is somewhat difficult to get them to work in normal games. I will tell you how to make and use skins in servers. I use GIMP because gimp is free and Photoshop costs a lot of money. For those reasons I will be writing this with GIMP in mind.

To download GIMP for windows go to THIS LINK

In order to use the files that come with CoD4 as the weapons you will need several programs The first two are used to convert the .iwi files to .dds so that they can be used.

In order for GIMP to use .dds files you must first install a plug-in for GIMP.

To install a plug-in into GIMP go to the path on your computer and put the plug-in into the folder

Victoria II spans the world from 1836 to the start of World War Two, with more than two hundred playable nations. Like the previous release, Victoria II focuses on internal management, that covers the industrialization and social/political changes in the country with many of different government types. The game focuses a lot on the importance to the economy of a country by having a complex market system with over fifty types of goods and factories. While warfare is a component of the game it is not the primary focus as in other Paradox Interactive games such as the Hearts of Iron series.

The population of country is divided into cultures, religions, and occupations. There are several different ethnic groups or “pops” including aristocrats, officers, clergy, capitalists, clerks, craftsmen, soldiers, laborers, and farmers. The game also introduces two new groups, artisans and bureaucrats. Historical missions that are considered as micro-objectives are also added. Thousands of historical events and decisions are also the part of the game. These events and nationalist forces lead to the creation or disintegration of states.

Review:

Sniper warrior makes a rough but charming first impression. It is designed using Chrome 4 engine, originally designed For Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, released in 2009. The game resembles to the last years video game except the surrounding trees and bushes. The character model also looks rough around the edges and the environment look expansive and lush. The most striking thing is the sniping mechanism. The game isn't quite realistic as Operation Flashpoint although it looks realistic.
As for other graphic qualities consider the lush environments, which seem wide open for creative positioning and true sniping experience also involving positioning in search for cover. The world of Sniper: Ghost Warrior is littered with more invisible walls and strange, 12 inch tall barriers than any shooter this side of Modern Warfare. This would be less infuriating if made sense, but rest of the areas seem like the best perches. Overall the game can give best experience of sniping.

Project Natal is the code name for Kinect for Xbox 360. In the beginning it was known as Project Natal but now its known as Kinect. It is a "controller free gaming and entertainment experience" by microsoft for the Xbox 360 platform. It is a webcam like peripheral for Xbox and enables user to control and interact with Xbox 360 without any need to touch game controller through a "natural user interface" using gestures, spoken commands as well as presented objects and pictures. The aim of this project is broadning the audience of Xbox 360 beyond typical gamers.

Development:

Kinect was first announced by Microsoft on June 1, 2009, code named "Project Natal", named after Brazillian city of Natal. Natal was also chosen because it means "of or relating to birth" and according to Microsoft "Its the birth of next generation of home entertainment". At E3 announcement, Microsoft said that over 100 software development kits have been shiped to game developers.

It was also rumored that a new a release of Xbox 360 console will also be launched with Project Natal, however Microsoft rejected these reports and also said that KInect will be compatible with all Xbox 360 consoles.

During Kinect's development , project team experimentally adapted many games to Kinect based control schemes to help evaluate usability. These games include Beautiful Katamari and Space Invaders Extreme, which were demonstrated at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2009.

Initially it was planned that Kinect will contain a dedicated microprocessor to perform skeletal maping but in January, 2010 it was revealed that Kinect's processing will be handled by one of the cores of Xbox 360's Xenon CPU. According to Microsoft, Kinect will only add a load of 10-15% on the Xbox 360's computing sources. Many observers commented that this step will effect the function of Kinect on pre-existing games.

On March 25, 2010, Microsoft sent a date flier for an event called "World Premiere "Project Natal' for Xbox 360 Experience". The event took place on June 13, 2010. It was announced that the system will officially be called Kinect, a combinations of words "kinetic" and "connect", which describe the main aspects of the project. The launch date was also annonced there.

Technology:

Kinect sensor is a horizontal bar connected to a small base with a motorized pivot, and it is designed to be positioned lengthwise below the video display. The device features:

· An RGB camera

· Depth Sensor

· Multi-array microphone

These devices allow it to provide full body 3D motion capture, facial recognition and voice recognition.

The depth sensor consists of an infrared projector combined with a monochrome CMOS sensor allows the Kinect sensor to see in 3D under any ambient light conditions. The sensing range of the depth sensor is adjustable. the Kinect software is capable of automatically calibrating the sensor based on game-play and the player's physical environment, such presence of furniture.

According to information supplied to retailers, the Kinect is capable of simultaneously tracking up to six people, including two active players for motion analysis with a feature extraction of 20 joints per player.

Well project Natal is something very simple , yet a lot of fun.
It works the same as a Wii but without any controllers in your hands.
How does it do it? Simple , its equipped with a camera that recognizes our movement ,
captures it and uses it as a controller . For example moving your hands left and right
can scroll through lists (movies , music ,pictures etc) . While in games it creates an amazing
way to play them . The link on the top of the review will show you how much fun it actually is.
There is also the feature to scan your own equipment such as a skateboard and use it in game .
And there is also the feature of video chatting such as we see everyday on skype , msn etc

There is also another project that Microsoft has been working on:

You can actually interact with the computer , in this case a boy named Milo , talk to him , get responses from him as if you were talking to a real person.

Now the question remains... Is this the future of gaming or will this ruin it???

Call of duty is the series of first person shooter games developed by infinity ward (later by Treyarch) and published by Activision. The series began with Call of Duty (1), which was released in 2003 for PC and later for consoles and handhelds. The majority of the games were set on World War II, while Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare II was set on different story. The game is owned and published by Activision and published for MAC by Aspyr Media, while developed by Infinity Ward and Treyarch and some games were developed by Gray Matter Interactive, Pi Studios, Amaze Entertainment, Rebellion Developments and n-Space. The engines used to develop the game are id Tech 3, the Treyarch NGL, and the IW 4.0. As of November 27, 2009, total sales for the Call Of Duty series have surpassed 55 million units worldwide, taking $3 billion in retail sales in the process. It is expected that the latest release that is Call of Duty: Black Ops will sell 5 million copies. The 2009/10 FPS Craze

In late 2009, a sequel to Call of Duty 4 was released, called Modern Warfare 2. It sold a ridiculous amount of copies on day 1, and guess what my take on the game is: It sucked. A lot. I compare games with people, and the only thing they can give me to support how good a game is, is by telling me it sold 10 million copies the day it was released. That just means people are stupid. Such an answer is meaningless. Modern Warfare 2 was a mistake.

It had a lackluster story full of confusing moments, and the multiplayer was "Improved" with the bullshit lobby system called "IWNet" It completely removes the server list system that's worked so damn well for us the past 10 years and puts us in whatever servers they want, which usually have around 200~300 ping. This tells me that gaming is dying, if not already dead, now that companies are taking these bullshit ideas that fill people with rage and calling it "Innovative."

What has happened to the gaming industry I liked, when it was about making great games and a few million dollars along the way? Now it's all about milking things to hell and making all the money they can without giving a damn about the gamers.

Guide to spot hackers on Call Of duty

Hackers do well to hide themselves, but there are still tiny details that hint that they are cheating. The best of hackers (our ex-member Jason, for example) are great at hiding it down to the smallest detail. Don't know why they try so hard, but they do. And I'm putting together a reference FAQ on how to spot them now. This list, which is being dubbed as a guide is dedicated to our servers, which are flowing with more and more hackers due to higher and higher traffic This is one of the many means I use to make sure that hackers don't get into our servers, let alone our community for long.

Aimbots

Aimbots are by far, the easiest hacks to sight; when a user's crosshair jumps from player to player in a particular fashion. The crosshair will lock on until its target is dead, and will jump to the next player. Sometimes, hackers will wait until a player is directly in their sights to use their aimbot. But, there is a loophole in this method that makes hackers easier to spot: Horizontal and vertical mouse motion. Aimbots will primarily focus on horizontal motion against a target in front of them. If a player's aim happens to be good, their crosshair will still move vertically, even if by a small bit. Aimbot crosshairs just jump from player to player, whilst non hackers will actually take time to switch between different kill targets. Most aimbotters use light machine guns, by the way. They also have no recoil. Otherwise, an aim tool would be sort of useless.

Wall Hacks

If the hacker is wise, a wall hack can take quite some time to discover. For example, a player on ou
r servers recently, Zangetsu had a frightening score. It took a while, but his hacks (Wall) were eventually noticed and banned. If you want to know how good hackers hide their wall hacks, see the video KingMatt submitted from a game against .:YWG:.Jason. That video provides an excellent example on how "Hidden Wallhackers" can be sighted.
Recoil Removal Hacks (No Recoil)

They can be harder to sight with low recoil weapons, but, if they aren't used with a high recoil weapon, what's the point of having this hack? On light machine guns, this particular hack is popular. Especially the RPD. There's only one true way to tell the difference between no recoil and little recoil: Crosshair motion. If the crosshair is completely still while they shoot, and their screen doesn't move a bit, it's a hack. If it moves by even a tiny bit, then it's legit. The M4 Carbine can be pretty difficult to spot recoil hacks on.
