This was even after EAs COO wrote a blog post defending their record, I was interested to read this blog post, and wouldn’t you know it, well have a look..

So in reality they may not be the worst company in the world, but they do have the worst PR in America, or at least that’s how it looks at the moment.

How can they impose always online DRM when they cant even keep online their own blog titled we can do better?, “oh EA when will you learn”.

Bioshock is finally here after almost 10 years in development, and wow what a game, currently it has a metacritic review score of an amazing 96/100, and a user score of 9.0 so critics and users agree its an amazing game

Some are calling it a work of art

An extremely captivating gaming experience. The gameplay is good, the story is wonderfully told and the world is worth the purchase alone

This is forgivable for an MMO, but not if it effects your single player experience (which this does), additionally they are forcing users to pay for micro transactions to access basic upgrades within the game.

This has to stop, sign this petition now if you don’t want this trend to continue.

Currently Gearbox’s Alien Colonial Marines is the top seller on steam, its fair to say that their new video game entry has not been very well received by critics, although I personally don’t think its as bad as people are saying, however its definitely not a polished as it should have been considering the franchise and the time invested in its development.

Now given that Steam routinely publishes the Meta critic ratings for all its games, it seems strange that none is displayed for this new release, coincidence?.

If you look right you can see an example of the Meta rating score on Steam for Fable.. Now look at the lack of rating for Alien colonial marines (Below)

Current Meta review rating  as of Feb 13 2013 (Below), so so disappointing..

Note: It should be noted that some of the other new games published on Steam have also not had their rating updated, presumably this is because there is not enough ratings yet for these releases, it would be good if Steam clarified their policy on this..

Aliens: Colonial Marines is available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A Wii U version will be released in March. A season pass for the game’s multiplayer modes is also available.

 Steam have now updated the META score, so the answer is NO, theyre not hiding, it or at least not anymore

Aliens Colonial Marines is looking amazing, finally a proper FPS version of the Aliens movie, if there ever was a movie that was perfect for a video game, intense, scary and lots and lots of Aliens.

Release date: 13 February 2013 on Steam (PC – the best version)

Aliens: Colonial Marines features a campaign with dynamic drop-in/drop-out cooperative multiplayer for up to 4 players online or 2 players locally via split screen. Competitive multiplayer has been confirmed, and Gearbox has shown Aliens vs Marines team deathmatch 6 v 6 gameplay, as well as a 4 v 4 objective mode called Escape, where the marines team must reach an evac point while the alien team must hunt and stop them. Gearbox has said that there are other multiple “objective based modes”.

What we know so far..

• You can pilot the power loader.
• Bishop will make an appearance (Lance Henricksen), as will other cast members.
• Co Op with a strong story
• Many new Aliens
• LB426 recreated in minute detail (awesome)

Using authentic environments inspired by the film series including Hadley’s Hope, the Sulaco and LV-426, you will be immersed in an eerie, atmospheric world where any moment could bring your death.

Endless Mode??

Im hoping it will have an endless mode similar to Orcs must die 2, wave after wave of Aliens attacking a single choke point, oh with androids and sentry robots as defense, plus of course marines that would be very sweet!.

Players have to choose a God to play, this is akin to champions in League of Legends or heroes in DotA. Currently players can choose between twenty-four Gods from six different pantheons, Chinese, Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Roman, Mayan and Norse mythology. Two players on the same team cannot choose the same God, although they are free to choose Gods from the same mythology.^[4] The player controls their god in a third person perspective, which is a unique characteristic of this multiplayer online battle arena game, as other games of this genre are typically played from a top-down perspective. Each god has a basic attack and four spells with varying effects, such as area of effect damage, crowd control,buffs and many more. These spells are acquired and upgraded when a player’s God levels up by gaining experience from being in range of creeps when they are killed, taking down towers or phoenixes and killing enemy players. The maximum level is 20 and each successive level is harder to reach. Gold, which is used to buy equipment that increase power, defence and passive effects, potions, wards and abilities, is accumulated through standard periodic income, by gaining experience, or by selling owned items.^[4]

The large areas between the lanes make up what is called the ‘jungle’, where computer-controlled monsters periodically spawn at specific locations distributed symmetrically across the map. Killing these monsters grants the player who lands the killing blow one of the following buffs for a limited time, depending on which monster was killed: mana regeneration, damage, movement speed or cooldown reduction. There are two special neutral monsters who spawn less frequently, the Fire Giant and the Gold Fury. When killed, they grant the entire team who killed it a powerful damage buff for a medium length of time or a set amount of Gold, respectively. There also exist monsters which do not offer a buff, only experience and gold
