Holiday Steam Sale Aftermath

It's that time of year when I am deciding which games that I bought on sale from Steam that I am actually going to play...
So far I've dabbled in Undertale; Axiom Verge; Invisibles, Inc.; and Shadowrun Returns and I have Grow Home that I didn't touch because I would have needed to dig out a controller. I enjoyed the time I've spent on each of those games so far but none of them seem to be pulling on me to keep going at the expense of the others. The other game that I bought on Steam Sale was Shadows of Mordor. That game is an incredible iteration on the Rocksteady Batman franchise gameplay that has great innovative elements and is tuned to near perfection. I played it obsessively until well after I had beaten it and unlocked everything. I uninstalled it because I couldn't stop playing it! What should I play next?

Amazon Lumberyard

Another hat in the ring of game development frameworks and engines.
http://aws.amazon.com/lumberyard/
Appears to be based on Crytek and offer "easy" AWS and Twitch integration.
GamesJimMade is watching! I did not find the installation experience especially compelling.

Battleheart Legacy

This is good. If you have room for a high quality iOS rpg this is what you need.
Well worth the 5 dollars.

Urban Champion

2010-10-25T06:30:00.000-07:00

In the early days of the NES I believed nintendo could do no wrong. We had Mario which was perfect. We had Kung Fu which was addicting fun. We had Duck Hunt which had a crazy dog. What we needed was a 2D fighting game...maybe we could call it Street Brawler...or Street Scrapper....or Street Fighter....NO WAIT...let's call it Urban Champion and let's make it the worst game in the history of nintendo...ok..DONE!

Congo Bongo

2010-10-21T06:43:00.000-07:00

This game had the ability to lure me in over and over...even though I never had fun and I could not play it in any reasonable way. The arcade version was beautiful....the 2600 version was of course an abomination. Those monkeys are some real bastards.

Mario Bros

2010-10-20T06:03:00.000-07:00

After the debacle with the monkey, Mario now aided by his brother Luigi got back to bidness in the sewers. I mean they are plumbers right? This game seemed better then that it does now, primarily because it set the stage for one of the greatest moments in gaming history that would forever eclipse this game...

E.T. The Extra-Terestrial

2010-10-05T18:59:00.000-07:00

The game that gets blamed for killing the 2600 and the American gaming industry in 1982. To be fair this game does suck. It should suck as all high profile movie tie-in licensed games do...they ALL suck. (Feel free to try to list the exceptions that prove the rule in the comments)
