After the anticipation on Twitter (Which turns out to have been true, after all), Elecronic Arts has finally announced Command & Conquer 4, for now scheduled to launch only on PC on 2010.

According to the publisher, the game will conclude the Tiberium saga, narrating the events following the storyline of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. It will also include class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression throughout all game modes. Also included are the 5 vs 5 objective-based multiplay.

GameTrailers will feature the first trailer in exclusive next July 23th, and in the meantime, fans can take a look at the game’s official website.

Naughty Dog has released new interesting pictures and a video about the highly-awaited Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The images show one of the scenarios in the game, the Ice Cave. THe new level has been revealed on the new episode of GTTV in which new playable sequences can be seen.

By the end of the post you can check a new video that talks al ittle more about the storyline on this second episode. We remind you all that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is scheduled to launch during the beginning of 2010 only for the PlayStation 3.

In this new chapter of the famous fighter title, players will have the choice of 42 characters, 6 completely new ones. And we remind you all again that Tekken 6 will be launched this autumn for PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.

We’ll treat it as a rumor for now, as it could be a true error or a new marketing plot from the guys at Electronic Arts, but the official Twitter account has shown a message that announced the development of Command & Conquer 4, with a link to an official communication and all that.

At this point, mistake or not, we think it’s more than appropriate to wait for something more, hoping that the next few hours will bring more explanations to this mystery. Considering it came from the official UK PR twitter site, it’s not that wrong to assume this is official explanation. But we will wait and see.

During the Bungie Day, the traditional annual event that Bungie uses as a way of announcing important news about their own games, the three new multiplayer maps that will be featured on Halo 3 OSDT appeared on the official website.

Put together with a bonus DVD that features all the material released for Halo 3, the three new maps represent the particular playability on this spin off, featuring the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (OSDT).

Here’s the official description of the three maps, and we will show the images at the end of this post:

Heretic: Heretic returns players to familiar ground as the Halo 2 arena “Midship” makes its long-rumored debut in Halo 3. The stark interior of the Pious Inquisitor might appear austere on first glance, but Heretic’s symmetrical spaces require players to execute complex strategies in order to outplay their opponents.

Citadel: Citadel may be a long abandoned Forerunner stronghold, but its small, symmetrical confines are far from secure. Two opposing bases offer little safety for players looking for solace. Instead, Citadel forces small squads to stay in constant communication, keep their heads on a swivel, and be prepared to adjust combat tactics in close quarters.

Longshore: Longshore lacks the commercial ships that once made it a lucrative port for Old Mombasa, but it still bustles with activity. Designed for large scale combat and well suited for smaller affairs, Longshore’s multitude of industrial buildings, elevated walks, and open inlets conspire to create a complex battleground tailored for multiple combat scenarios.

We’re back with more Assassin’s Creed 2 news, with a video-diary where the developers talk about Ezio Auditore, the protagonist of the second chapter of this famous action game.

The presentation of Warhammer 40.000: Space Marine was done at the E3 09, and now we managed to stumble upon the first video featuring gaming sequences that lasts around 9 minutes, with many game features shown. The game is still on the initial developing stages, and the video also shows some commentaries from one of the team members.

The video was found on YouTube, so the quality isn’t that high, but at least it’s something while we wait for more official news. The game is being developed for XBox 360 and PlayStation 3, and no clue of a launch date yet.

Chet Faliszek from Valve has given some interesting details about Left 4 Dead 2 on an interview to Kikizo, especially when it comes to the compatibility of user-created contents.

According to Faliszek, the time spent on creating user contents will not be wasted, since there will be full support for the maps created on Left 4 Dead on Left 4 Dead 2. It’s obvious, though, that the maps created on the new chapter will have the advantage of the enhancements that the developers are making on the new game.

We remind you all that Left 4 Dead 2 is scheduled to launch on November 17th for PC and Xbox 360.

Bayonetta, the new action game from Platinum Games is being developed by Hideki Kamiya’s team, the same co-creator of Devil May Cry. In fact, Bayonetta gets a lot of inspiration from Devil May Cry.

Today we present two videos for the upcoming game, one showing the usage of “special effects” such as lightning, smoke and flames, and another one with those effects disabled.
