Stunning Elemental Magic
Magic in Lords Online is both awesome and dazzling. Including four schools for Ice, Fire, Earth and Air spells, each type has its own distinctive effects to make the players’ hearts thump and blood boil. Using 3D rendering, the designers created memorable visuals to match the power of the spells. For example, when a hero casts flame spells from his hands, they set his enemy afire.

Monster Matters
In the hero adventures, players can take their champions into the wilderness to complete missions, but in testing the monsters inhabiting these areas didn’t make the grade. The team redrew the monsters and modified their 3D models and motions. In one case, a stiff, three-headed Cerberus changed from its ho-hum initial design to become an imposing beast with a huge mouth, bloody teeth, and flames along its body. As the work continues, the goal is to imbue each monster with appropriately fantastic qualities.

Since each player is the lord of a castle, the art team based their default pictures on famous historical figures to give them all an air of dignity and prestige.

Making Heroic Heroes
The initial hero system UI only showed a hero’s head. Now heroes of different races and genders each have their own distinctive style. A human male hero adopts the armored knight image, exuding confidence as a force for justice. A female hero assumes the aspect of a mage, impressive in her shining elegance. The team created all the hero images using advanced technology to achieve dynamic effects.

Server names will be changed for Halloween, and players will find Channel names added to help them find specific maps, modes and arms options in a more efficient matter.

Players will be entertained by 2 key features of this Halloween update. The first one is a special Jack’O'Lantern Raid, designed especially for this Halloween. The Seal of Jack’O'Lantern is required to start the Raid; and the Seal can be obtained by playing ‘Trick or Treat!’ with the village NPCs.

Ntreev USA, a leading online game developer and publisher, announced today an all-new character, Sieghart, will be available in its online action-adventure MMO brawler, Grand Chase. This brand new character will be available starting today, October 28th.

About Sieghart
Sieghart was a renowned hero of Bermesiah 600 years ago, but disappeared in the midst of ruins. Reappearing in the times of Grand Chase, he tells the people that the Highlander gods saved him from death and gave him the gift of immortality. He joins the Grand Chase to stop the Ascendant God from a planned invasion to Bermesiah. Sieghart bears the name of Elesis’ grandfather and has a chargeable gauge to strengthen attacks (similar, though not identical to Jin’s gauge) that fills over time, faster when damaged or dealing damage. He wields a long blade that, in contrast to Elesis’ weapon, he holds in reverse. Like Jin, he is adept in several styles of combat.

In addition to the new character and dungeon, players can enjoy ongoing Halloween events in Grand Chase. Ntreev is hosting multiple Halloween events including the “Jack-o-lantern Drop” Event where users get special items to use in their quests. This event is going on now and will run through November 3rd. Additionally, the “Smashing Pumpkins” PvP mode – also running now through November 3rd allows players to earn a Halloween Pumpkin Box when victorious in PVP mode. The Halloween Pumpkin Box contains Halloween series weapons for all characters and jobs so players will surely want to be the one to win this coveted prize!

Until now, the huge Naga Acropolis in the volcanic territory has been inaccessible. With ‘2.1.2 – Storming of the Acropolis’, the gates of the fortress are now open and so is a special district inside the zone which will challenge players. Countless elite henchmen occupy the walls and trenches around the Acropolis – Naga troops have set up their camps all around. Solo players don’t have a chance here; only well-equipped groups will ultimately get to face off against the leader of the Naga army: King ‘Sharleedah’ will provide a tough battle for adventurers and can only be toppled by extreme force.

Since the Alpha Test began on March 3rd, the development team has modified the game many times and applied a number of patches. In that time, the team has mainly been introducing new hulls, new modules, and new systems to the game, as well as modifying the existing hulls and modules to achieve the right mixture of balance and fun. For example, they introduced the Aggressive Pirates to stimulate teamwork as players work to defend their galaxies. Overall, the team feels they have created a fun and fair gaming environment.
