Crysis 3 is a first-person shooter video game under development by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts. Accidentally revealed by Electronic Arts, the game is the third main installment of the Crysis series.

The third game sees players take on the role of Prophet (this is questionable due to the end of Crysis 2 when Alcatraz emerges from a crater saying he is now Prophet) as he returns to New York, only to discover the city's been encased in a giant Nanodome created by the corrupt Cell Corporation. The New York City Liberty Dome is a veritable urban rainforest teeming with overgrown trees, dense swamplands and raging rivers. Within the Liberty Dome, seven distinct and treacherous environments become known as the Seven Wonders. Set in 2047, Prophet is said to be on a "revenge mission" after uncovering the truth behind Cell's motives for building the quarantined Nanodomes.

The citizens were told that the giant citywide structures were resurrected to protect the population and to cleanse these metropolises of the remnants of Ceph forces. In reality, the Nanodomes are CELL's covert attempt at a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. With alien Ceph lurking around every corner and human enemies on the attack, nobody is safe in the path of vengeance. Everyone is a target in Prophet's quest for retribution.

Work on Assassin's Creed III began almost immediately after the release of Assassin's Creed II (2009).Patrice Désilets, former series' creative director, said that the story of Assassin's Creed III will focus on Assassins' quest to prevent the end of the world in 2012, and their race against time to find temples and Apples of Eden built by "Those Who Came Before". Desmond will be searching for clues as to the locations of these temples, by exploring memories of one (or more) of his other ancestors.

In Assassin's Creed we set up a timeline with this whole end of the world plot in December 2012... That's fast approaching, and the story we have to tell, we obviously need to do it before we arrive at that point. It would be stupid of us to be centering a game on a semi-reality and then have that conclusion happen after that date in real life.

On March 30, 2012, Ubisoft said that in the three weeks since the game's preorder campaign kicked off, it has already exceeded the total US preorder numbers of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and has topped 10 times the preorders Assassin's Creed: Revelations attracted in a comparable time frame.
This for sure tells this can be the last installment in the much loved (at least by me) sereis will come to an end and is for sure worth the bucks.

God of War: Ascension (What you need to know)

God of War: Ascension is an upcoming game and it will be the seventh installment in the god of war series and a prequel to the entire series.
Ascension will be the first chapter in the series, forming part of a saga with vengeance as central theme. it will focus on protagonist Kratos before he became the "Ghost of Sparta."

Gamplay

The single-player will feature a "revamped" combat and weapon system, "promptless" mini-games and new puzzles. Sony mentioned "fluid, life-like characters, dynamic lighting effects, and world-changing scenarios". The campaign is "just a little bit shorter" than in previous God of War games.

Multiplayer

It will be the first game in series to feature multiplayer. It will support online and offline battles for upto 8 players.

Plot

Players will get to see a younger Kratos, one driven mad after being tricked into killing his wife and child. In the game Kratos "seeks to break his bond and gain the clarity to seek revenge on Ares for his part in the death of his family". Joystiq confirms "players will be introduced to a more humane Kratos than ever before" with director Todd Papy stating that they're "[giving] people a look at [Kratos'] human side so fans can relate to him better and understand some of the stuff he went through when he was younger."

Portal 2, the sequel to the much loved portal from value, was a game I was eagerly looking forward to and let me tell you, it is worth every penny. It picks up sometime after the events of portal, and fills in a lot of the gaps left in the first game. The story and the character development during the game is very good and value really stepped it up with the graphics and attention to detail in this title.
However, the selling point of Portal 2, much like the original is its unique gameplay and puzzle solving mechanism. The player is still equipped with a portal gun, that opens two portals the player can jump through; but also adds many other elements that help you along the way. From liquid goo that bounces you around like a yo-yo to those that boost your speed, Portal 2 comes loaded with new challenges and obstacles that take puzzle solving to the next level.
The story is short and crisp and should easily last a good and entertaining 6-8 hours. There is never dull point in the game, from sarcastic remarks by the two AI's to absurd humour and references to brutal dismemberment and a glorious death in the name of science.
However, the highlight of Portal 2 is not the single player, but the new crop multiplayer mode. Players play as robots created by aperture industries in hopes of succeeding where humanoid testing failed. The level nof puzzle solving takes a quantum leap from the single player but at no point does the game feel annoying and taxing. It actually pushes you to try to figure things out. The coop adds a great new dimension to the game and rounds up an already memorable experience. From beginning to end, Portal 2 has a great story, great gameplay, challenging puzzles and two very annoying yet unforgettable robots. I highly recommend this title to anyone who wants to just sit back and enjoy a game.
After all, how can you not want to die in the name of science.

The E3 is here again
The Electronics Entertainment Expo is here again, in just a few days. The entire gaming community, from seasoned reporters to pre-teen players is waiting with bated breath to see what will be unveiled this year by developers and companies. In the light of this, let's take a minute to see the history of E3.
The first E3 was in 1995, and was explosive. The two leading companies of the time, Sega and Nintendo, launched new platforms, the Sega Saturn and the Nintendo Virtual Boy. Sony also entered the race and showcased the legendary Playstation during this time. Games were shown for all these systems along with existing system.
The following E3 helped cement it's success, with the unveiling of the N64 as well as some of the most iconic games ever, including Starcraft, Tomb Raider, Tekkan 2, Resident Evil, and a preview of what would become the best rpg of it's generation, Final Fantasy VII.
Following this E3 became bigger and bigger with companies and developers trying to outdo one another in their exhibitions, attracting more attention until 2006 saw 60,000 attendees. Seeing this organizers decided to make the event exclusive, for invited professionals only. Another event was created for the public at large, but it failed to achieve any level of success at all. The "new" was widely criticised both by the attendees and those excluded, until finally, in 2009 the original format was restored.
Since then E3 has been an escalating arms race between gaming companies. After the recent console race we saw the motion race between Project Natal and the Playstation Move last year. This year rumours abound about "Project Cafe" the new Nintendo console as well as the successor to the 360.
E3 is back again, and as always promises the best.

E3 is around

E3 is coming around. The E3 is the ultimate expo for video games, a place where developers showcase developing games and platforms. Essentially, E3 is a gamer's Mecca.

This year at E3, there are some really exciting rumours coming from Nintendo camp regarding 'Project Cafe' the successor of the Wii. The Wii as we know was launched years before the current generation, and is now technologically far behind then. Cafe may change this, rumoured to have 3-7 parallel processors and 1080p compliance. Another rumour puts a LCD screen on the controller itself and gives it increased 3Ds compatibility, making the controllers function as pseudo-handhelds a la Four Swords or Battle Revolution.

Talking about the 3Ds. it's been confirmed that a proper launching of the system will take place within E3, displaying demo's of games like Ocerina of Time 3D that will be released side-by-side, and displaying the finished product.

Talking games, we'll have LOZ: Skyward Sword, the next Zelda game which combines Twilight Princess's realism, and the sunny cell-shaded style of Windwaker. It's also rumoured that Skyward Sword will be launched for both the Wii and the Wii 2. We also have Kingdom Hearts 3D in Square's booth, which will be awesome.

The release of Starcraft II in 2010 was a landmark in the world of gaming. Upon its release, Starcraft II was critically acclaimed to be one of the best RTS games ever. But today we talk about Starcraft II and its growth in the Indian competitive scenario.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

Hot Pursuit delivers excellent control and handling, which isn't all that surprising given this is the Burnout studio. With point-to-point races along long stretches of road and often calls for extremely precise, split-second maneuvers in order to avoid traffic, bust roadblocks or take a shortcut on what are some comparatively narrow roads. It allows players to blaze through an entire career as a cop or a racer. In one instance, you need to focus on avoiding traffic, threading a needle through gaps in roadblocks and generally driving as fast as possible; in the other, you're trying to ram racers until they crash and just generally being more aggressive.
Hot Pursuit is great because the core concept of escaping from the police, and trying to catch speedes as the police, is delivered on so well. They succeed at being challenging from a pure racing standpoint, but also play to the pursuit element of the game, offering up side roads that can be used to ditch the fuzz or, conversely, cut off racers and drop a spike strip.
The system of collecting bounty points for driving well and winning races works really well, increasing your rank as either a cop or a racer, which, in turn, makes new cars available. By the end of the game, you're driving incredibly fast, exotic cars on both sides of the law and using advanced tactics to win.
But this is not all There's also an excellent online component. The "Autolog" system is the key to it all, really, keeping constant track of how your friends are doing in any given event, which makes retrying races in an attempt to one-up them irresistible you're able to post specific challenges for your friends to take on "say you just beat a race in under a certain time and you want to see if your friends can top it" and they'll appear in your list of event "suggestions." There's also a message board where messages and screenshots can be shared among friends, and an interesting system through which the game will recommend friends of friends to you, in order to expand the online experience.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit may have been a late entrant into the race, but it grabs the checkered flag for this year.
