You need to target keywords which in return will deliver relevant traffic to your blog. Sounds easy, right? Well guess what... IT IS! You just have to take a practical approach and use common sense. The key is to not depend solely on software. I wrote up the article on SeoHosting.com. You're welcome to check it out here.

Other Things You Can Do With Your Web Server Other Than Installing WordPress

There is more to life for a blogger other than WordPress. And there's more that your web server can do other than hosting a WordPress blog. In essence, you have at your disposal a very powerful and super fast computer that's running constantly 24/7 without interruption.

In other words, for about the same price of lunch, you are renting a computer that is far more capable of handling programs compared to your own desktop or laptop computer at home. The is only a few minor differences.

Three of the most obvious is that your web server is located in some random data center and you can't do things using a graphical user interface. You don't have complete control over the entire computer. Other than that, the sky is the limit with how or what you use your web server for.

Do you need a place to store your data? No problem, upload it to your web server. Most web hosting companies offer unlimited space. Need a place to share your pictures with your friends and family? Once again... no problem. There are many open source applications similar to Flickr or PhotoBucket that allow you to create online photo albums and share them with people.

Want to add a second hard drive to your computer? Creating a web based network drive is a feature offered by many web hosting companies. You can easily map space on your web server to your computer and register the space as your D drive, E drive, etc.

Ask yourself what is something you would like to do with your computer at home. The chances are that your web server will probably do a better job doing it and that there will be more application options available, especially free ones.

How Many Blog Posts Can I Write In The Amount of Time it Takes To Install Windows 7

It really puzzles me how such a terrible product can continue to dominate the operating system business. I mean really, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, they all suck. Microsoft products are terrible. Unfortunately, not many people know any better. Not many people are away that there are other options available.

A lot of people seem to be concerned that they can't adjust to Apple computers. Fear not... I purchased my MacBook Pro almost two years ago, and instantly I forgot about Windows. There was NO adjustment period. I turned my MacBook on and it just worked. It's fast, always works, and I have NEVER had any problems with it.

If you don't want to spend money on yet another operating system, I completely understand. If you don't want to pay for an Apple computer to use Mac OS X, then try Linux... it's actually better than Mac OS X plus it's completely FREE! And you can use your existing system. In fact, you could even dig a computer out of the garage and install Linux and it would work better than a brand new computer purchased today at the store running Windows 7.

If you want advice on making the switch, feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to assist you. I am sick of Windows, I hate Windows, and the only reason why I have any form of interaction with Windows is because I do computer repair. If it wasn't for that, I would never even see a computer with Windows.

How To Research Keywords Using Google SEO Tools

Keyword research is challenging. Keyword research is fun. And, keyword research is rewarding. All, only when done correctly. Many people get suckered into buying software that promises to help with keyword research. Some programs actually do work, but unfortunately most do not.

Instead of putting yourself into a potential risky situation, consider using the free seo tools provided by Google. These tools work great, and most importantly, they are free. If you're looking for ways to improve your success with keyword research, I wrote a guide that will help you. Continue reading...

bbPress vs phpBB and the rest... which is the best?

bbPress looks pretty cool. I want to turn my iPhone into a full blown web server. Do you think this is possible? I'd like to think so. iPhone OS is built around unix and with some special tweaks I think I should be able use my iPhone as a LAMP server. All that's needed is MySQL, Apache, and PHP. From there, I can use the AT&T 3G network to provide a somewhat fast connection and zone edit to keep up with the constant IP addresses changes. All in all, I think this can work. What are your thoughts?

How To Install CentOS 5.5 For a Web Server

I finally decided to play around a little more with CentOS. After work today, I decided to kick back and install CentOS 5.5 to use on one of my personal web servers here in my home office. I'm pretty excited about testing out the OS. Already, it does seem much more complicated compared to Ubuntu Server. We'll just have to see how things go. By the way, if you're experienced with Linux and happen to have some opinions between the two operating systems, feel free to chime in.

The reason why I'm installing CentOS is because most all of the web hosting accounts I have with companies such as HostGator or BlueHost use CentOS. I really like Ubuntu Server, but I don't think it's fair to draw an opinion between the two unless I try them both. I'll keep you posted on the progress and testing.

What Is The Best Linux OS For a Web Server?

Most all major web hosting companies such as HostGator, BlueHost, etc. use CentOS as their web server operating system. In my home office I run a couple personal web servers using Ubuntu Server. I really like that OS, but it concerns me that I might not be using the best operating system for my web servers. I'm pretty particular about things, and with my web server, I like to keep them maintained close to being identical to a standard production web server you'd expect to see running on the grid from a large web hosting company.

All that said, what's your opinion about this? What do you think is the best Linux operating system to use for a web server? Are their any added benefits to using one over another. I really look forward to reading opinions on this subject.

Kbuntu vs Ubuntu... KDE vs Gnome... Which Desktop Environment Is Better?

I absolutely love linux. Over the years, I have always had an interest in using Linux. It wasn't until recently that I started using Linux full time. In the past I always had trouble either successfully installing the OS, or simply using it for day to day things. Today the story is much difference. Most of that can be credited to Ubuntu. It's an amazing operating system. But now I'm starting to wonder about the Linux Desktop Environment. Specifically, KDE vs GNOME.

If you have tried out both desktop environments (i.e. Kbuntu vs Ubuntu) let me know your thoughts between the two? Which desktop environment is better, and why? As you may know, Ubuntu uses Gnome by default, which automatically makes it more popular. That brings out a few questions, such as why Ubuntu chooses Gnome over KDE. Anyway, any opinions that you have about the two environments will be much appreciated.

Blogger Blogs Get Indexed Quick in Google

Barely 24 hours after converting my blogger blog to use a custom domain, the site has been indexed in Google. If you're curious about the different directories and want to learn more about their purpose, check out this page. Ironically, I have been looking for a page that has this information, and ironically I happened to have stumbled across it tonight without even looking for it. While this blog is still powered by Blogger, I finally got around to updating the address with a custom domain. The new address of this blog is now www.garryconn.net. You should probably update your bookmarks. Also, expect a new design coming up and a complete overhaul of the blog... including the content you'll soon be reading.

How To Determine Keyword Search Traffic

Doing keyword research can be a challenge. It's difficult to find good keywords, but it's more difficult to figure out how much traffic certain keywords will deliver once you rank for them in Google.

If you would like to know more about the amount of traffic you can expect to receive from certain keywords you research, I have written an article that provides the steps. It's pretty straight forward, and following the steps don't require you to purchase anything.

All that's required is some time to study trends, and Google Insights. Take a look at my guide and let me know what you think. Once I discovered this trick it immediately aided me with determining which keywords to target and which keywords aren't worth my time and effort. Read my article to learn how to use Google Insights to determine the amount of search traffic keywords receive.

Clarksville Computer Repairs

I just launched a new computer repair service in my hometown of Clarksville TN. The services I provide include: computer and laptop repair, virus removal, system restoration & upgrades, memory upgrades, hardware & software installation, data recovery and more. Offering Clarksville computer repairs is something I have been wanting to do for awhile, I just never had the time. Finally, I have much more time available to devote towards providing these services.

iPhone GPS Games

Anyone know of any good iPhone GPS games? I have been looking around for some free iPhone apps for kids and I really haven't had too much luck. If you have found some really cool free apps for your kids, please let me know what they are in the comments below. So far, I have found one app called Baby Flash Cards. This app is very nice and comes with 200 flash cards from A to Z. Here are two screen shots:

Download Traffic Rush For iPhone

I found a really cool free iPhone app called traffic rush. In this game you control the traffic flow in a congested intersection. You have to stop, accellerate, or allow vehicles to pass through at normal speed from all four sides. The game is very entertaining and challenging.

Go to the app store and do a search for "Traffic Rush" and you'll see it listed in the top.

Play it a few times and then post your high score here in the commets below.

Best Deal on The Rockwell Jawhorse

So I am sitting here at The Wheel Shop in Clarksville Tn waiting to get my tire plugged ,because I ran over a nail, and I was watching a tv commercial for the Rockwell Jawhorse. Let me tell you, this thing looks awesome and I think when I get home I'll research and find the best deal on one. Do you own a Rockwell Jawhorse, if so did you purchase it from the 800 number on the television commercial, or did you go online and try to find a better deal? Regardless, I think that this tool could be extrmemly useful around the house... Especially hanging sheet rock from the ceiling.

Where can I get cheap breakfast in Clarksville Tn.

I love breakfast. Usually I cook breakfast every morning. However, this morning Dana and I had a lot of errands to run and didn't have time to cook and eat breakfast. That didn't mean that we weren't hungry though. And that lead us to try to find a cheap place to eat breakfast. So, if you live in Clarksville and want to find a cheap place to eat breakfast, I recommend McDonalds. I know you were probably looking for something more unique, but let's face it.... McDonalds is cheap. Dana and I drove thru and had breakfast for less than $6 dollars. We had two sausage McGriggles for a dollar each, two hashbrowns for a dollar each and a large Coke for a dollar.

Where can I get my tire plugged in Clarksville TN.

I recommend going to The Wheel Shop and Tire Repair. I called around to get prices and they ranged from $10 plus tax to $24.95 with tax. I called The Wheel Shop, spoke with Steve, and he charged only $8 dollars. They are located directly across the street from the Toyota dealer. For directions, follow the link below.

Location:Wilma Rudolph Blvd,Clarksville,United States

Testing HTML by Email

Just a test to see if this free app does html by email.

item one

Two things i dont like is the lack of auto corrext and lack of landscape.

Best Regards,
Garry Conn

Testing post by mms with five pics

Here is pic #1

Testing Blog by Email With Five Pics

Here is hopefully my final test for email.
