Big day for me today.

My new EP, ‘Head to Heart’, is available.

Of course, for me, the first part of the work is complete. Now the songs are out there, and will begin their own crazy journey.

1. It’s called ‘Head to Heart’ and features four tracks; What Kind of Country, Being a Man, Dust and Bones and Open up the Door.

2. It’s the most personal recording I’ve ever done. (Cliche, I know, but true.)

3. It was recorded with good friends at Urchin Studios in East London. Thank you Dan and Matt.

4. It was recorded live, with no click, so it breeeaaaatttheees.

5. We’ll wet its head at London and Irish parties in June. Details coming soon.

6. You’ll be able to get your ears on it on May 25th, when digital and physical sales will go live.

7. This feels like the first page of a new chapter in my creative life, which feels great.

Shepherds Bush Empire w/Ed Sheeran

I’m delighted to be opening for Ed Sheeran at Shepherds Bush Empire on Oct 3. Ed’s career is flying at the moment.

Myself and Ed’s paths first crossed in the Empire about 5 years ago, so it’s nice to be back.

Also on the bill is me old buddy Luke Concannon. Should be magic.

‘Possibilities’, reviews of London show, and acoustic EP.

A few months back I was asked to contribute a short piece on the theme of ‘Possibilities’ to celebrate the Dalai Lama’s visit to Dublin. The brochure has just arrived in the post – see below.

I’m delighted to be published alongside Michael D Higgins, a man for whom I have much respect. You can also read the piece here.

Finally, I’ve just started work on an acoustic EP which I’m hoping to release in Sep. More on this to come soon.

I’m delighted to be playing The Green Note in Camden Town on July 7th. It’s one of my favourite venues in London, serving beautiful veggie food in a lovely setting. Can’t wait. It’s small, so advance booking is required.
