Scott Barry Kaufman at Psychology Today  also recently talked with Gary for his Beautiful Minds blog.  In addition to Operation International Children and The Disabled Veterans’ Life Memorial, Gary shared his thoughts about the creative process including “group creativity,” the idea of natural ”talent” versus teaching ”talent,” and wrestling with lack of self-esteem.  Read the interview in Kaufman’s blog Beautiful Minds: Conversations on Creativity with Gary Sinise.

Dan Band Friday night as they perform a FREE concert as part of the Beaufort, South Carolina Shrimp Festival.  Gary will also be raising funds for the Sinise Charitable Foundation by selling t-shirt and wristbands to help cover the expenses of some of the severely injured veterans who will attend the event.

Forrest Gump fans may recall that scenes for the movie were filmed in Beaufort, and Lynda Figueredo of WIST-TV recently spoke with Gary about returning to this historic southern town on South Carolina’s treasured coast.  (See WIS-tv coverage here).

Later that day, Gary will make a statement at the Simi Valley Freedom Walk event. The entertainment begins at 4:15 p.m., guest speakers at 5 p.m. and the 1.8-mile walk at 5:30 p.m. The walk starts in the courtyard of the library and ends at Rancho Madera Community Park off the Wood Ranch Parkway.
