The next monthly meeting of the Gateway Division will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at VFW Post 805 in O’Fallon, Illinois. Illinois Valley Division member Thomas Ose will recap the "Arduino and Model Railroading" clinic he presented in April and go deeper in the usage of Arduinos for your layout. Arduinos are inexpensive, small computers that have many different applications in model railroading. This session will look at DCC++ in more detail, the required components, and how they are modified and configured. A test track will demonstrate DCC++ in action using JMRI as the controller. Our monthly meetings are always open to the public. Refreshments are provided at the meeting. Guests are always welcome. More information, and driving directions to the meeting, are available on our website.
