It is not always easy to make the youngest aware to ecology. However, the Water Pavilion of Paris found a way to teach them while entertaining them. Dedicated to the 8 -12 years old, the exhibition “Investigation on Water” offers to the children to follow a path with their favorite friend Titeuf. Their goal: discover the path of water, from its source to its arrival in our faucets. A magnifying glass, a small investigator book and they are ready for their investigation. During their search, they will learn how water becomes drinkable and above all why it has to be preserved.

An initiation to environment protection
The exhibition “Investigation on water” will arouse their curiosity and will make them discover the daily gestures they have to adopt to protect this essential resource to the survival of our planet and of the human being. If you are very curious, meet us at the Water Pavilion!

For the first time, some Tsutsugaki masterpieces from a private collection leave Japan to be presented at the Guimet Museum in Paris. This dying art is finally honored thanks to the Parisian Museum. The term may not be familiar with you, for Tsutsugaki is not well known. It is a textile dyeing technique combining the work of a drawer, an artisan and a dry cleaner. This exhibition reunites about thirty of these unique works that are shown for the first time outside Japan.

The Tsutsugaki, a traditional art
Favoring indigo, this popular art, reminiscent of engraving, was born during the Muromachi era, in the 16th century. It is at the time of Edo that it reached its climax, between the 15th and 17th centuries. It is made of motives varying depending on the region. Dragons, turtles, flowers, symbolic settings form these true textile paintings so that they would bring luck to their owners. Favoring cotton, the craftsmen would fashion, through an elaborated technique, kimonos, futons and other sewing works. They were ordered for big events such as weddings and religious ceremonies. Now, it is at the Guimet Museum that you can discover them and be amazed by their beauty.

Symbol of the splendor of the French monarchy, the Palace of Versailles is known worldwide. Pushing magnificence to its climax, the domain organizes like each summer a series of shows called Musical Fountains show and Musical Gardens. Despite the centuries going by, what was once the home of the Sun King never ceases to shine. The sumptuous décor of the palace is only matched by the beautiful gardens. During summer, these ones gain beauty when they are lulled by French baroque music. Following the rhythm of the melodies that livened up the evenings of Versailles, you could discover an extraordinary treasure imagined by Andre Le Nôtre.

Conquer the gardens of Versailles
This summer, you will be able to explore the preserved parts of the garden, open on some Tuesdays, and enjoy the groves while listening to music! During the Musical Fountains show, you will witness a breathtaking show, highlighting the fountains and their spray that will dance and waltz at the rhythm of the different melodies of the show.

An evening worthy of the Sun King
At dawn, a French ball will take place in the famous Hall of Mirrors. Dancers and musicians will bring baroque back to life in front of you during the Royal Serenade. Then, you will admire the Fountains Night Show, a fairy aquatic show. The evening will end with a firework. You can’t miss it for the world!
