Koukles club is the place to be if you want a good drag show. Despite its small size and capacity (thats why it is better to make reservation 1-2 days before, Wednesday is a less crowded day) you will certainly enjoy it. This museum is what I call the museum of the incredible male statues.
Definetely the richest selection of ancient classical statues and treasuries from the prehistoric period till the late Roman years.
The selection of the golden prehistoric treasure of Mykinai, the cycladic statues and the colourfull frescos of prehistoric city of Santorini worths a visit to this "rich" museum.
Although the selection of the ancient bronze statues are these will amazed you most, epitome of male beauty and perfection.
10 minutes walking from the nearest metro station called Victoria (green line metro) with a beautifull decorated cafe next to the interior garden of the museum this place will be definetely one of your highlight experiences to the city.
Bring your camera and enjoy your shooting as is one of the few world class museums where the cameras area allowed. Couldnt be different since you have to take home all these bronze and marble muschle details you can find in every corner. Give time walk around and enjoy!!

The main gay area as you read in my blog is gazi....Konstantinoupoleos street all the way from Keramikos metro station has many gay bars clubs restaurants and cafes.Your hotel is not in the main gay area, it is nice hotel but you will need a taxi to go back at night from Gazi on the other hand very close to Intercontinetal is Lamda club one of the most famous and old gay bars of Athens.Lamda club is at Lembesi and Syngrou street. Keep in minds that most of the clubs in Greece start to have people after 1 oclock at night.
A very popular gay book shop of Athens is close to Pedion Areos park, 15 minutes walk from Omonoia square(use metro)

The complex has 2 beaches, the left one is my favourite. Next to Balux cafe. Perfect blue sea waters, relaxing, beach polo, a swimming pool, great service, exotic smoothies and the famous fredo capucino of Greece, under the relaxing music of Balux Cafe. It is located 55 minutes with the tram (1 euro tram ticket)from the centre of Athens. Take the tram from Syntagma square direction line to Voula. Stop at Kolimvitirion tram stop. Asteria balux complex is just 10 minutes walk from there.
I think the best place during the hot Athens days.

NEW ACROPOLIS MUSEUM OPEN IN 20 OF JUNE

The New Acropolis Museum has been designed by the internationally renowned architect B. Tschumi in collaboration with the Greek architect M. Fotiadis, following an International Architectural Tender. This is a 30,000 m2 building on a 21,000 m2 property. It includes specially designed exhibition rooms for the presentation of all significant findings from the Acropolis area, a periodic exhibition hall, a 200-seat presentation virtual reality room showing the monuments as they were in the past,a cafe, a restaurant as well as parking and ancillary areas arranged in four underground levels. The highlight of all exhibition areas is the magnificent glass hall which is going to host all Parthenon sculptures. A particular feature of this building is the fact that all archaeological findings from the specific piece of land have been integrated and highlighted in its design......

It is known that you cant be a good architect, good decorater or good artician without having a gay influence. Am I describing too much? I dont think so. It is proved that most of the gays have good taste. Thats why i believe you will really love a visit to the New Acropolis Museum which is going to open at 20 of June this summer.
It is an amazing minimalistic building which is going to preserve all the treasures of the Acropolis monuments and the statues of the Parthenon.

Lets start speaking about the locals.
Greek boys.The truth is that greek men they dont have a specific characteristic,makes them recognizable as greeks,for example swedish are blond,egyptians are dark hair.
Greeks can be blonds,brown hair,dark hair,and of corse in Athens you can find all this variety.
What makes greek boys recognizable like greeks,is their mentality of enjoying the life,their sensitive lover side,and their romantism.

Gazi (gas in greek) took its name from the gas station is located in the area,and now is used like a modern art gallery and small conference centre.The area is acessable by foot walking on the archeological pedestrians of Ermou on the part of Keramikos ancient cemetery and from Athens metro,blue line Keramikos station. The impressive Keramikos subway station at Gazi.

The last 10 years the whole area has one of the hugest construction and urban delepoment index of Athens city.It has became a place with beautifull minimalistic decoration loft buildings and location of some really famous entrentianment places,like restaurants,cafes clubs.

The area start to get known from the homosexual clubs on the Konstantinoupoleos street next to the train lines.

So one of the most unknown places of Athens has start to became a "must" not only for the gays but also for any person needs to enjoy,its fantastic vibrant atmopsere.

In Gazi you will find the most impressive Graffitis you have ever seen.

There are whole walls,many of them with the permission pof the state which have been decorated from the most famous graffiti articians in the world.Even if you are not graffiti fun it is obvious that the specific work is more than the average street graffitis can be found in any city worldwide.

The pireos street Graffiti has a whole theme about the fight against air pollution.

Walking in the area you would impossible not to face its landmark,the former gas station and now modern art,gallery place .Suprice with its industrial architecture and its straight views to the Acropolis monuments,at night the whle building is lit is blue and red colours ,and the bronze,steal and wooden parts of the buildings makes an impressive atmospere during the route of an enjoyfull gay nightlife....

A city with an impressive history,thousands years old.

Its identity monuments like Acropolis monuments to the oldest christian churches and the Neoclassical buildings of Modern History,its unique climate,(275 days a year sunshine ,4 seasons,dry climate,really low humidity) but furthermore its own style and character makes Athens city a unique city ,similar to no other city of Europe,on its architectular style and the way of life..(modern typical residential buildings,24 hours entertainment,clean sea water beaches,70 kilometres beach coaasts,impresive mountains circle the city)

....but???????

What about the homosexual tourism????

Did anybody know that Athens city has a whole area suggested for gays???

Did anybody know that has more than 100 places (gyms,cafes,bas,clubs,restaurants) among the best in the city ,which are gay friendly??

Maybe not,and this why i make this blog,to inform the "boys" and "girls" for the impressive gay scene of the greek capital!!
