Want pizza? Great news, for those of you too lazy to pick up the telephone. Simply click a bluetooth-enabled fridge magnet, and your pizza will be delivered automatically. Great news for convenience-minded pizza lovers, not-so-great news for America’s growing obesity epidemic.

The magnet was developed by Red Tomato Pizza, and really only requires a single click for automatic pizza delivery. When you first get the magnet, you do need to pair it with your mobile phone. When you press the magnet, it sends a signal to your phone via Bluetooth, which orders your pizza for you.

Of course, this magnet probably isn’t too smart for households with children.

Well, it looks like things just got a bit more difficult for Blackberry owners, as far as movie streaming goes. According to a tweet from the Netflix Twitter account, Netflix has no plans to offer support for Blackberry phones, or even the Blackberry playbook.

This is following the optimistic news that Playbook OS 2.0 was released with few issues. The Blackberry Playbook hasn’t been as successful with consumers as the company had hoped, so it isn’t that surprising that Netflix won’t be providing support. Still, it’s safe to say that many Blackberry Playbook owners will have to find an alternative way to access streaming movie services from their mobile devices.

It looks like Google is branching out to add more merchandise to their company store. They’ve just announced their newest product — wristwatches that feature the well-known Android logo character.

The watches are retailing for $59.99, and are available in both black and white. The watches don’t have any special features or enhancements — unless you count their ability to tell you the time.

Branded items usually have a niche market of fans of the particular franchise. Since Android has quite a bit of popularity among tech and gadget consumers, this watch design does have the potential to be well-received.

Aside from the Android watches, Google is also offering watches with their company logo, as well as the logo for their Chrome internet browser.

If you’ve been following the case against popular file storage site Megaupload, youu probably already heard the news — over 50 million users could have their data deleted, if federal prosecutors have their way.

So far, seven men have been charged in the Megauload case, which is garnering worldwide attention. Here’s a quote from MSNBC reporter Joshua Freed:

The company says its millions of users stored their own data, including family photos and personal documents. They haven’t been able to see their data since the government raids earlier this month, but there has been hope would be able to get it back.”

Needless to say, 50 million people will be very upset this coming Thursday if their data gets erased.

Have you ever wanted an exotic pet? How about a 17-foot long crocodile?

Crocodiles aren’t notorious for being the best pets. In fact, some people might argue that they lack the capacity to bond with humans. However, one man seems to have proven this wrong.

Chito is a 52-year old fisherman from Costa Rica. He rescued a crocodile that had sustained a bullet wound to the head. Chito gradually nursed the injured crocodile back to life, and named him “Pocho”. After ten years, Chito decided to begin working with Pocho, trying to teach him to be his companion.

Chito wrestles, hugs and plays with Pocho on a regular basis, much to the horror (and awe) of amazed onlookers.

Of course, we don’t recommend attempting to domesticate your own pet crocodile.

In an exciting new development, astrophysicists have used emerging technology to successfully provide a simulation of how galaxies form.

The simulation uses a combination of carbon rods and red lasers, which are contained in a laboratory setting. The simulation provides a fairly accurate depiction of the magnetism of newborn galaxies.

In galaxy formation models, a gravitational nucleus is formed out of cold dark matter. Ordinary matter in the form of gas collects around the nucleus and, as it collapses, it heats up. The relatively rapid gravitational collapse sends shock waves through the gas, blowing some of it away from the protogalaxy, but driving star formation in the process.” – Ars Technica

Until now, astrophysicists were having a lot of difficulty with galaxy simulations. These difficulties were a result of two things — a lack of detailed information about galaxy formation, and the complexity of the features of a galaxy. Though this simulation doesn’t entirely overcome these hurdles, it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

It’s a new year, and we all know what that means — more Apple rumors from dubious sources. Actually, this latest rumor about the iPad 3 actually seems likely, citing early March as the release date for the next-generation iPad.

If this rumor were true, it would mean that the iPad 3 would probably have its launch event held sometime in early February.

If the iPad 3 were to be released in March, it would be roughly a year from when the iPad 2 was released.

I wonder how Apple’s consumer market would handle having their iPad 2 being “outdated” after only being on the market for a year?

Nintendo’s online experience has finally caught up to the other consoles — ‘Nintendo Network’ has been officially unveiled.

Nintendo Network will include a lot of the features gamers are used to having from an online network, like multiple accounts and a personal interface.

Unlike Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which has been focused upon specific functionalities and concepts, we are aiming to establish a platform where various services available through the network for our consumers shall be connected via Nintendo Network service so that the company can make comprehensive proposals to consumers.” – Nintendo Company President Satoru Iwata

This comes, of course, before Nintendo has announced the official release date for the “Wii U”, Nintendo’s next generation gaming console. It’ll be interesting to see if Nintendo’s network can measure up to enhancements that Sony and Microsoft make to their online service before their next-generation consoles are released.

If you’re a fan of the Mass Effect series, this latest news will probably make you excited — in Mass Effect 3, Shepherd is getting a makeover.

Well, a personality makeover, that is. Bioware could possibly be called the behemoth of the gaming world when it comes to writing, and they’ve decided to rewrite Shepherd’s character to be more appealing. Most notably, players will feel more emotionally involved in the decisions their Shepherd character makes throughout the game.

Stylistically, Mass Effect 3 will feel more like a movie than past titles, which could further enhance the game’s immersion aspect.

If you haven’t played past Mass Effect games, don’t worry. Bioware assured the public that the storyline in Mass Effect 3 can be enjoyed even by new players.

The battle between game companies and used game retailers has been ongoing for years. Game companies claim that used game sales undermine their bottom line, since they don’t receive a portion of the sale of used games. Used game retailers claim that they’re simply providing an in-demand service to consumers.

Well, it looks like Microsoft may be taking a controversial stance against used games — if these rumors are true. According to a “source”, the next Xbox will use some type of anti-used game technology.

If this is true, Microsoft risks alienating a substantial number of consumers who have expressed negative feelings about this rumor.
