This new Epine concept car includes a whale skeleton as a tribute to Mother Nature. Daniel Schumpert, a graduate from the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit MI with a BFA in Transportation Design, is the creator of this new concept car which brings the experience of the racing vehicles. Its name is derived from the incorporated Epine (spine) system.

The car is designed in such a way that the storage compartment can be found in the front and the power plant at the rear side of the car. It has got the airless wheels based on the Michelin Tweel concept and is housed in the wheel itself. The wheel spokes are able to compress and decompress and has been used in the suspension system of this car to offer a smooth, trouble-free ride. The structure and the materials of the wheel spokes offer a wide collection of motions. This is a compact car that measures 4260 mm in length, 1882 mm in width and 1153 mm in height.

The Twizy runs solely on electricity.  Representing the future of automobiles, the Twizy is exceptionally efficient and versatile.  There are two seats in the car and the second seat is right behind the driver’s seat.  In this way you can transport two people in an extremely low impact transport system.  Most cars today have ‘footprints’ that will dramatically affect our planet’s ecosystem.  This car of the future takes all considerations into account by leaving a virtually nonexistent footprint with a touch of innovation and style.  The shape and design is not like anything that has entered the car market before.

To solve the traffic congestion problem, this small and low vehicle has only two seats. It is battery powered with two in-wheel motors placed by the back wheels. Extremely light weight, with the wheels hidden inside the body, it has doors that are designed to open, slide up and wrap themselves closely around the top of the car, eliminating the need for space alongside the body in tight places. The seats rotate ninety degrees out to help with entrances and exits. The shell of the car is clear and see-through allowing for 360 degrees visibility.

To address the lack of parking space and to eliminate the need for separate and costly parking structures, this car is designed to be able to ride up vertically, just like an outside clear glass elevator. Upon reaching the desired destination, the car attaches itself to the building and turns into your own private balcony. An opening in the building, and in the car allows for direct access into the apartment. The seats, on arms, rotate to keep leveled in both horizontal and vertical positions. When the car is in it’s balcony mode, the seats can turn into lunge chairs where you can sit and enjoy the view seen through the clear shell of the car.

CarGo allows the driver to quickly adept the vehicle to the needs of the road and the needs of his cargo. The extendable wheel base and the changing front and rear tracks enable the driver to easily make the car narrower to allow maneuverability in heavy traffic, or extend out to accommodate tall and heavy cargo. Telescopic tilting makes CarGo very stable around tight bends and can be handled like a motorcycle or a commuter car.

The car has three configurations:

Compact mode – for traveling in normal city traffic and for ease of parking.

Narrow mode – for maneuvering in and out of heavy traffic.

Pick-up truck mode –  the wheels are extended out for a better stability.

The cab of the CarGo has detachable doors for the driver to move quickly in and out. In  closed door configuration the doors can be used for  advertising or company logo. The removable storage compartment (the Pod) in the back, permits vertical or horizontal attachment. The sides of the Pod can be opened from either sides or the back to enable easy sliding in of heavy cargo.

When the work is done, the pod can be removed completely or can be folded up to reduce wind drag and increase speed. This turns the CarGo into a regular, electric commuter vehicle.

All in all the Dubike would be a great option for those who would like a bicycle but do not currently have the space or accommodations to keep a traditional bike.

Looking closer, the bike is equipped with a wind electricity generator, an expandable solar panel, a magnet set that produces a magnetic field during application of a shaking force and electricity generators in the rotation wheels which are generated when pedaling.

The eco bike is basically a power generator in itself due to the fact that it contains these three renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and magnetic field energy and even energy from pedaling, talk about a power house bike.

Having these four power sources the eco bike can support itself whenever the rider is already exhausted in pedaling, with four sources of energy and all concentrated and stored in a battery the eco-bike will never run out of power which will assure you that even in the longest trips you will be able to reach your destination without stopping to recharge the eco bike. Imagine everyone using this wind and solar powered bike, we did not only solve traffic problems, we also have reduced the amount of carbon dioxide emissions which in turn would help us breathe in cool crisp fresh air.
