This is going to start a flamewar. Suggested topics of argument:

Which “sins” are due to the source material and which are Peter Jackson’s?
Are these actually sins or did they just not “get it?”
Will any of these be corrected or edited out for the eventual 100-disc DVD set complete with replicas of the One Ring, the Black Arrow, and Sting (the blade, not the pop star) which glows blue whenever batteries are present in the hilt?

"Luke's Change: an Inside Job" by Graham Putnam

"An examination of some questionable events and circumstances leading up to the destruction of the Death Star, through the eyes of an amateur investigative journalist within the Star Wars galaxy. The focus is mainly on the connections between the people who created and operated the Death Star and those responsible for destroying it.

For those who don't care for the obvious, this is a satirical spoof of the 9/11 truther video Loose Change."

Now you don’t have to see it, in case you didn’t. I figure it’ll be on the FX channel or maybe SpikeTV for years, though.

Supercut: The Art of Steadicam

The Art of Steadicam by Larry Wright

The clips here are culled from the list of 50 greatest steadicam shots as chosen by the users at the enthusiast site Steadishots.org.

"Invented by Garrett Brown in the early 70's, the steadicam shot -- or 'steadishot' -- has become one of the most dynamic and exciting forms of cinematography and is one of the most engaging visual techniques in a filmmaker's storytelling arsenal.

I was inspired to make this homage to the art of steadicam cinematography when browsing the database of "top" clips over at steadishots.org, which are rated by the community. After locating what sources I could from the top 50 or so, I decided to stick with the order presented on the site (accurate as of March 1, 2013).

While I do hope you enjoy my video, there are many other clips that I was not able to source as well as many great clips that have yet to be rated into the "top" ranks, so please head over to steadishots.org and show your appreciation for the great service they provide."

Game Of Thrones Season 3: Trailer

In the first season of Game of Thrones, the Stark motto was the recurring refrain: “Winter is coming.” As we enter the third season, the warnings have gotten even more ominous: “Death is coming, for everyone and everything.” This new trailer premiered on Jimmy Kimmel Live Friday night, and while it’s only 60 seconds long it’s certainly enough to get fans excited all over again.

"Everything Wrong With Inception In 4 Minutes Or Less" by CinemaSins

Cinema Sins is back with my favorite series, "Everything Wrong." This time, they tackle Inception, and while they make a lot of valid points, they're not nearly as hard on it as other films they've done in the past. Combined with their last comment, I take it that the Cinema Sins crew approves of Nolan's masterpiece, which is awesome, as it's my favorite film.

Featurette: Building a Digital New York for Avengers

"Behind the Magic: Building a Digital New York for "The Avengers"" by ILMVisualFX

When you're sitting through Avengers, there isn't a doubt in your mind that the action is taking place in New York city, but you might be surprised to discover that only a tiny fraction of the film was shot in the city. The overwhleming majority of the climactic battle scene was shot in front of a green screen using a cityscape created from thousands of pictures of New York.

"Although roughly a third of “The Avengers” is set in New York City precious little was actually filmed there. ILM crew members photographed 7-miles of city streets from a variety of heights and at different times of day totaling 250,000 images. The crew then digitally recreated roughly 20 square blocks of mid-town Manhattan using a variety of techniques. Live action shoots were held primarily on sound stages in New Mexico and in the streets of Cleveland."

Quentin Tarantino always ignites the best movie discussions, even when the questions he's answering don’t relate to his own movies. Recently, during an appearance The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, Tarantino took a moment to reflect on his favorite and least favorite things about Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. Prometheus talk is at 4:48. He talks about kids movies are at 7:00.
